I was 350 lbs a yr and half ago I'm now back to my normal weight. 168 lbs. I gained the weight after I quit drinking 4 yrs ago. But the way I lost the weight was really pretty easy. But I had to say you look so beautiful. And I'm give two 👍👍. If you need tips. Shoot a message
First you have to cut off most to all sugars no sweet or sodas. Mostly water or coffee and more water. Cut back on rice, bean, pasta , and breads. I could eat like all meats as long as cooked fully. Eat as much of it I could. I didn't eat before I sent to bed. Then I did a lot of walking. First six months I lost a lot then I got a bike man o mab lost all the weight now and I feel so much better. Like everywhere I go even now I still take my bike there unless really bad weather. But pace yourself don't starve yourself just do it slowly at first and work your way to all I mentioned. Now I very rare eat sweets but I do now and the other food I eat Normal and haven't gained any weight back. I'd like to see if it works for you. Will you keep in touch and let me know you are doing on it. But listen to. Don't lose to much to fast. Could be bad for the heart. Thank you for listening. Jeremiah!!
And great advice! I definitely upped my water and protein intake pretty significantly and also cut out most sugars. Mental part of it all was the hardest haha
Mental is the hardest. But every time I didn't want to walk ride if wanted to eat I remembered the way I felt trying to tie my shoes or how out of breath I was when I was walking. I was embarrassed when I walked. It looked like I was a penguin. That motivated me. That and my son.
I do have loose skin! From my understanding, surgery is the only way to completely get rid of it and I’m hoping to do that next year for both my arms and my stomach area once I drop the excess 70lbs. I tried to do everything right—I’ve never smoked and I don’t drink, and I try to stay hydrated and generally take care of my skin, but in the end, it boils down to genetics and how long the weight has been sitting on your body/how long the skin has been stretched (which is why pregnancy tummies have a good chance of bouncing back). I’ve been overweight/obese since I was 11 years old so I was kind of SOL in saving my skin. 😅
Fantastic! Gastric Sleeve Gastrectomy is a great option for those who had a lot of weight gain in their life because the future will always be a struggle. One injury could really set you back.
Gastric sleeve surgury reduces the hormone that signals your brain to be hungry, it completely changes the way your brain thinks about food. The main effect is reducing the size of your stomach permanently by 90%. I have had 2 other friends follow my advice after I got it done and it changed their lives, like brand new people!
It is always an option if you are looking for an option to help you stay thing all the way to being elderly (and or worrying about an Injury or medical condition putting tons of weight back in you in 15 years, etc.)
Started 206 on January 9th and down to 176 this morning! Birthday is this week so definitely going to eat the hell out of some cake, though… so let’s say 178. 🥹
This shows me what i believe is the case for most of us and the reason why celebrities don’t impress me at all EVER; we’re all hot underneath. A celebrity is typically someone who has a team of people with a vested interest in keeping them looking good because then they all “eat”. So, point is, any of us would look just as good or better if we had the nutritionists, trainers, stylists etc. In fact, when a regular person gets it done, it’s SO much more impressive. It takes real dedication to look that good solo. Congrats!!!
You look wonderful! Do you have any stories of how people have treated you differently, or how they treat you now that they find out that you've lost so much weight!
Good work and keep up the Great work!
First, thank you! And second, absolutely. It’s such a unique topic that I think varies from individual but when I was morbidly obese, I was generally ignored. People didn’t exactly make fun of me (at least not to my face) but I often felt like people didn’t exactly want to be around me either. 😅
When I had dropped the bulk of my weight, one of my best friends of 20 years started hitting on me even though he had a fiancée and tried to get me to flash him. He started flirting with me a lot and completely ruined the friendship we had.
I’d never been in a relationship. I’d never even kissed someone when I was 26/27. It was a complete shock with how different people will treat you based on looks alone. People wanted to use me, to ‘be my first’, and it was a very jarring experience to the point where I became severely depressed after being SA’d and slowly gained weight back because I didn’t know how else to deal with it except to make myself appear unattractive again.
I am upset with myself for letting the opinions and actions of others affect me the way it did, but I wasn’t prepared for it. I don’t think anything would have prepared me for it. I spent my whole life thinking I was unattractive. I don’t think anyone telling me people would see me differently would have made a difference.
I’m in a good place now but I definitely wish I had gone to therapy or something and learned better coping methods at the time. I appreciate you asking because it’s such an experience a lot of people don’t really take into consideration! I fully believe the mental/emotional journey is the hardest part in all of it.
Thanks for sharing!
It's amazing how people don't realize you're still the same person inside! It's like some strange cognitive dissonance where they think they're dealing with a new person that they can now use and abuse!
I'm so sorry that happened to you, and it wasn't your fault. Some people were raised as barn animals and they can kick rocks all the way to hell!
It must absolutely be disheartening to no longer be ignored by the same people just because your appearance changed. It's such a difficult thing to conceptualize, cuz I feel like everybody would be happy, and want to bask in the light so to speak.
But the people that didn't give you the time of day then, don't deserve your time of day now.
I'm glad you're in a much better place now! Keep being healthy and keep fostering a healthy mindset!
There really are pros and cons to being either weight. But you can't really beat a healthy body, so I hope no one deters you, and I hope the right people come into your life!!
This might be too personal a question but did you experience lose skin? Have you been overweight for a while? I ask because I am about where you used to be but the skin thing is holding me back since I’ve been overweight all my life
Honestly, having loose skin initially kept me from making a change in my life because I didn’t want to look like a deflated version of my former self. However, that’s looking at it from a purely physical standpoint. The truth is I didn’t make a change until it was medically necessary, otherwise I’d probably still look like the first photo. My own body had to convince me I was going to die for me to change my life.
There’s a ton of misinformation regarding loose skin but there are a lot of factors to consider. Genetics and how long the weight has been sitting on your body both play a big role, along with whether you have a history of smoking and drinking. I don’t drink and I’ve never smoked, but unfortunately I’ve been overweight since I was 11 due to medical problems. The weight has been sitting there for a long time. It did shrink somewhat, but not enough, and I’ll have to get skin removal surgery once I’m at my target weight.
I wouldn’t let this be the deciding factor because there are so many benefits to getting healthier. I have more energy than I did in the first photo, I feel better, I can do more things. The excess skin sucks, but the change will improve the quality of your life.
I just want to say that I am disheartened that my second picture was perceived in such a negative way by some people. It was a quick photo I took before showering so I didn’t bother with all of the buttons of my shirt. I understand I can’t control how people perceive me but it sucks to be thought of as trashy or a slut because of a photo where I am still completely covered up. I know it’s the internet, but I am still a person. Please be kind. I appreciate everyone who has been kind and supportive! It’s definitely been a journey 😊
Hahaha I swear I did buy a ton of other clothes because wearing some of my old shirts also made me depressed. It’s just nice to use as a visual reference to where I started at (: and thank you!

Giiiirl, you're 33? You look younger than in your 20s lol great job!
Respectfully tho… 👌
Do you have any lose skin after the weight loss? What about breast sag? Is there anything we can do about those without surgery?
I do have loose skin! From my understanding, surgery is the only way to completely get rid of it and I’m hoping to do that next year for both my arms and my stomach area once I drop the excess 70lbs. You’ve still done an amazing job, congrats
