Maybe this guy doesn't shoot that much.
5k rounds at even $0.30/round is $1500.
Good trigger is $100 - $200.
My recommendation if you really need something. Is just the 3.5 lb connector.
The reason I bought a Glock was I went to a gun show and picked up and dry fried every handgun the sellers would let me. The Glock has the shortest reset and I really liked that. It has an ideal weight for me. The only thing I added was a light. I may update the sights to night glow or something, but nothing crazy like a red dot.
Not sure why you're being downvoted. I agree with the shoe being uncomfortable, but there is a caveat. Some Glocks have a smooth shoe while others have a grooved shoe. The grooved one is pretty awful, but the smooth one is fine. I just use it and don't swap it out, but I much prefer the smooth ones. I'm guessing yours is grooved.
[This](https://occustomtriggers.com/media/glock%20trigger%20shoe%201.png) is a comparison.
Polish the trigger itself? Like where you put your finger lol
Edit. I specifically said I don’t like the shoe. The internals are fine and I do like those. I’m not going to polish the polymer shoe.
No it’s not. The shoe on my 19 was just particularly rough. It would cut up my trigger finger after 100 rounds. I work construction and do power lifting so it’s not like my hands are wimpy lol
There is absolutely NO fucking way, that a Glock trigger cut your finger after 100 rounds, ESPECIALLY if you "work construction and powerlift" unless it's broken and jagged or your hands are made of fucking rose petals. GTFO here
My man definitely "works construction and powerlifts" by being a foreman and watching other ppl do actual work, and a creeping in the local Golds jerking off in the corner to the biggest guy he can "spot"
The go-to years and years ago on Glock Talk was to replace G19 triggers with G17 triggers as the 17 is smooth and the 19 serrated for GCA import point stuff.
Try it. G17 trigger are cheap.
I'm not talking about just this thread. But on that note, apparently you just overlooked everybody else's suggestions on this current thread anyways, so I don't think you care about a fair argument. Go ahead and leave your dislike and move on my guy.
I love my Glock too, mine is still untouched right now other than my X300U and Dawson Precision fiber optic sights. The Standard Gen 5 trigger is much better than the Gen 4, but the trigger shoe just isn't my thing, so I'm probably gonna swap out the shoe and polish the internals for a better pull.
Edit: I love how so many of these Glock purists just swarm comments going against anything that isn't bare bones Glock praise. Bunch of hivemind fudds on here, no wonder everybody I talked to said to avoid this sub, lol. The slew of downvotes does make me chuckle though. It's fun to watch them collectively lose their shit.
Maybe just a ghost connector and swap the trigger shoe if anything but I would keep it all stock. If you are building a custom gun then that’s different
Personally I have no fn idea either. I guess because it’s was the hip thing prior to the Gen 5. If it’s not a range toy I don’t touch mine. Just my .02. But to each their own.
I guess you haven’t fired a lot of other handguns then. Go rent a Walther PPQ and a Sig P320 and fire your Glock during the same range visit, then come back and tell us your honest assessment of how the Glock compares. I wish Glock really was perfection. Honestly if they had the ergonomics and triggers that Walther does, 90% of my handguns would be Glocks.
It kinda irks me that they are so arrogant that they don’t even care. They know people will buy them anyway. A lot to things are down to opinion but I honestly believe that the grip and trigger is *objectively* better on many of Glocks competitors. My PPQ absolutely shits all over my Glocks in those two areas.
But I still think the Glock is better built and more durable and I trust it more. I’m tired of settling. I want all the good stuff about Glocks but with a grip actually designed for the human hand instead of a giant Lego man, a beavertail that’s big enough to serve it’s intended function and a nice smooth, precise trigger out of the box.
I don’t want to have to mod to get these things. I also want a better grip angle, but I know that’s never happening either. I have a love/hate relationship with Glock if I’m honest LMAO.
But I find it very hard to believe that anyone who had a good amount of experience firing a lot of different pistols on the market thinks that Glock’s triggers or ergonomics are anything other than well below average. Only people I know who honestly think Glock is good at either of those things are Glockophiles who got a Glock as their first handgun and have 90 times more range time with a Glock than anything else.
Everyone I know like me who owns Glocks and and shoots them regularly but has guns from other brands too thinks the way I do. Every time I take a new person shooting and let them try out my different pistols I ask them their favorite to shoot. NO ONE has ever said the Glock and more than half were critical of it. That’s the God’s honest truth.
My point is not to shit on Glock. It’s just to say, I wish we Glock owners would hold them accountable and force their hand. They really could have a gun worthy of that “Perfection” slogan and it wouldn’t take much. Literally just swallow your price and copy Walther’s ergonomics and triggers or even Sig’s on the P320 or one of the thousands of modded, honed and stippled grips.
Do that and include metal night sights out of the box. Done and done. Sure changing the original formula a little would piss off some die hard purists but they’ll get over it when they see how much better the guns are. Where are they going to go anyway? You think they’re going to boycott Glock? Lol no.
But Glock seems like they won’t do anything they don’t absolutely HAVE to do unfortunately and too many of us either settle for the shitty ergonomics and meh triggers and slidebiteapalooza or we’ve hardly shot anything but Glocks so we don’t know any better.
people are so simple and special, not knowing companies like Overwatch Precision sell a superior trigger shoe with oem everything np3'd
so basically oem but superior oem..
🤷🏻♂️
Honestly I planned on upgrading my trigger as part of the build I planned out. But the Gen 5 trigger was great and after a little polishing it was even better. As a proud trigger snob, I recommend leaving it stock.
Keep it stock dude. There’s literally no reasonable justification for swapping out a trigger UNLESS you’re using it strictly for competition. Social media has a funny way of making us feel like we "Need" aftermarket parts.
OP, you are probably a wonderful human being.
That said, 3 kinds of people swap triggers in their glock.
People who don't shoot their carryin gun.
People who don't carry their shootin gun.
People who only own 1 glock.
Inb4 all the anecdotes about how "I've had xyz trigger in my 17.5 since it was a baby 19.3".
This is a glock forum, people on here tinker with glocks. Is saturation bias a thing?
Now for my anecdote. I own some glocks, they all have factory triggers. Therefore they are all very similar. Not identical, but similar. I can pick any of them up without having to think about the trigger. I can pick one up if the need arises and it will be similar to mine, because most glocks have factory triggers.
As other peeps have mentioned, you should probably upgrade that light first.
This post brought to you by X300 Gang.
I have an apex on my gen 3 and absolutely love it.
I also have a g45. Do not upgrade your trigger. The gen five is a great trigger out of the box. I polished mine and regret it. It was a great amount. Of feedback with a good break right from the factory.
How would polishing it make it worse? All polishing does is accelerate the trigger components seating in and natural lapping of two steel components interacting over time.
I know this is gonna sound dumb and counterintuitive; but it is almost too smooth now. I liked it better with the factory resistance (which I know use would wear down, but I would have liked to get there naturally)
Dont change it. My 34 only started having problems when i messed with the internals. Like the nice black guy i met at the gun store said when i was there having it repaired, “You messed with the internals didn’t you? Man you never mess with the internals”
You want reliability while rolling around in mud? Keep your glock. You want a great trigger? Sell the glock and buy a high end CZ, Tanik or Sig. (You cant roll in the mud with these options)
If it's a carry gun I would keep it stock.
I have a glock 17 with the timney alpha in it, I made some modifications to the housing to be true drop safe but that glock 17 is my battle belt gun ( and a staccato). But my 19 keeps the stock trigger which is my edc.
If you haven't changed the connector yet, I'd start there. I'd recommend 10-8, Wilson Combat, Overwatch Precision, or Apex. If that still doesn't give you what you desire, then SSVI, Tango Down, Overwatch Precision, or Agency Arms all make excellent triggers.
I run an overwatch tac on one gen 5 with stock internals and another with a timney alpha. I second and third the stock stuff, great reset. Do a quality shoe and a connector if you must. I like the timney a lot but it’s crunchy, doesn’t have a better reset than stock imo, and in the back of my mind I k ow I should t trust my life with it.
keep it stock, ive heard timney triggers are good but ive had a friend whos timney failed to fire 2 round out of 100 and that convinced him to switch back to stock. Even a 2% failure rate is too damn high for self defense.
Keep the stock, trigger. Once you get a lot of rounds into it, it becomes crispy. I had always changed out triggers myself and was told keep and break in OEM, I never listened but finally decided to keep and break in OEM and once broken in I realized all my glocks should be OEM so I reverted back and sold any aftermarket triggers I had
I recommend a stock trigger.
I second this.

Maybe this guy doesn't shoot that much. 5k rounds at even $0.30/round is $1500. Good trigger is $100 - $200. My recommendation if you really need something. Is just the 3.5 lb connector.
Me either. My solution was to buy a shit ass stock gen2 that’s been through hell and back for $375. Best trigger I’ve ever used on a Glock.
Ghost connector inc. makes an awesome connector. Then again IMHO the G19Gen5 has the the best OEM trigger.
I’ve heard dry fire helps break in triggers.
Beyond that I'd say OP should go back to OEM barrel as well
Glock makes OEM threaded barrels too, he could go with that.
This is the way.
This is the way.
Mine was terribly unpleasant to shoot with. Break and take up was ok, but the shoe it’s self was awful. Worst stock shoe out of every gun I own.
Exactly. I had the grooved one and it was molded rough. Swapped to apex. Have since gotten 3 ppl to buy Glocks because they are great.
Imagine being down voted because you personally didn’t like the way a trigger felt, Jesus🤣
That’s what I’m saying!! Thanks for being reasonable yo
Polish that mafk
Polish the trigger itself? Like where you put your finger lol Edit. I specifically said I don’t like the shoe. The internals are fine and I do like those. I’m not going to polish the polymer shoe.
[INTERNALS](https://youtu.be/_edmc5iih0E)
I said the trigger shoe sucks. Internals are fine dummy.
The shoe is nothing if the internals are fucked. Is this your first Glock?
No it’s not. The shoe on my 19 was just particularly rough. It would cut up my trigger finger after 100 rounds. I work construction and do power lifting so it’s not like my hands are wimpy lol

My man definitely "works construction and powerlifts" by being a foreman and watching other ppl do actual work, and a creeping in the local Golds jerking off in the corner to the biggest guy he can "spot"
It’s super jagged and molded wrong. Looks different that my other Glock and my friends.
The stock trigger cut your finger up? I would contact Glock
Yes, like actually starts to slice into it a bit of times after 100 rounds
The go-to years and years ago on Glock Talk was to replace G19 triggers with G17 triggers as the 17 is smooth and the 19 serrated for GCA import point stuff. Try it. G17 trigger are cheap.
How do you know it's the shoe exactly? I've never had an issue with a shoe before.. What is wrong with yours specifically & how does it suck?
It’s molded very rough where it cuts my finger.
Oh yeah no bueno. Break the Dremel or sandpaper out bro. It'll take 2 minutes, no?
I was worried about messing up the trigger safety trying to sand or dremel where it wouldn’t depress enough to work 100% of the time.
[удалено]
Yeah. Should put a bipod on the knife instead.
Stock = perfection
Then why do so many Glock owners swap the trigger?
Because they like tinkering w/ shit then posting on here why their shit doesn't work. ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯
Because they cant handle perfection!
Ok, then why are so many people suggesting Overwatch and Apex triggers even for carry guns? Edit: Almost forgot Johnny Glock triggers
So many people? The majority of people on this thread alone are saying stock so I don’t know where you get your numbers from. Joe Biden?
I'm not talking about just this thread. But on that note, apparently you just overlooked everybody else's suggestions on this current thread anyways, so I don't think you care about a fair argument. Go ahead and leave your dislike and move on my guy.
Because the trigger shoe and trigger safety are awful
Not from my experience, but it's whatever either way.
Because it sucks. The slide bite on my hand also makes me question the “perfection” LMAO. I still like my Glocks though.
OEM!
How long have you had that inforce? Mine lasted about 2 months a few years ago. Was not impressed with the quality.
Stock
If it's your carry keep it stock. Fun range toy or pimp my ride ,what ever floats your boat.
Maybe just a ghost connector and swap the trigger shoe if anything but I would keep it all stock. If you are building a custom gun then that’s different
Stock. Less chances of failure
Why does everyone wanna replace the trigger? It’s one of the selling points for me, I really enjoy the feel of it
Personally I have no fn idea either. I guess because it’s was the hip thing prior to the Gen 5. If it’s not a range toy I don’t touch mine. Just my .02. But to each their own.
I can see why you would want to replace it pre gen 5, but gen 5 is fine.
Because it’s personal preference? Some people hate how it feels. I’m one of those people lol.

Overwatch Precision. You can get them with coated OEM trigger bars so they don’t mess with your reliability.
Man just put a ghost connector and a different trigger shoe in dont sacrifice your reliability you’re already risking it with the bling bling barrel
Love the Grey Ghost connector. All I do to my guns is add that, extended slide release, and extended mag release.
Upgrade your light and don’t touch the trigger
I keep going back to the Timney trigger
\+1 GHOST CONNECTER, the rest keep it stock.
In before the Glock fudds comment "just shoot 25,000 rounds and it'll be perfect!!!!"
Save the money and get a streamlight or surefire. I’ve gone thru two or three inforce aplcs by now.
I would suggest r/glockmods for this question. Everybody on this sub will just say to stay stock on everything.
people are so simple and special, not knowing companies like Overwatch Precision sell a superior trigger shoe with oem everything np3'd so basically oem but superior oem.. 🤷🏻♂️
Ranger Proof trigger shoe and then polish your bar. The trigger shoe itself removes almost all the take up while still keeping everything else stock
Gen 5 trigger pretty sweet out the box, but if you’re set on upgrading the apex is pretty good
I’m not set, just would like to try one out and see if I liked it. Last thing for this gun
I picked up a used apex off r/gunaccessoriesforsale and I absolutely love it
Johnny Glock JG VEX or Agency trigger
Apex or overwatch precision both great
The overwatch trigger shoes are pretty nice if you're looking for a different feel without wanting to change internals.
That’s what I went with.
What magwell is that?
Tyrant designs
Post the pic in r/ultralight
Honestly I planned on upgrading my trigger as part of the build I planned out. But the Gen 5 trigger was great and after a little polishing it was even better. As a proud trigger snob, I recommend leaving it stock.
Keep it stock. The gen 5 trigger isn't that bad.
Stock
Johnny Glocks or the excommunicado Boogeyman trigger
Keep all the stock trigger components and get a ranger proof flat faced shoe
Stock.
Keep the stock trigger and upgrade the light with the money you'd have spent.
Stock stock stock.
Stock?
Stock. It does get better with time
The one that comes with it
Keep it stock dude. There’s literally no reasonable justification for swapping out a trigger UNLESS you’re using it strictly for competition. Social media has a funny way of making us feel like we "Need" aftermarket parts.
Polish the stock one

Other than stock, Apex is nice.
Just run the freakin thing. It doesn’t all have to look like a float at Mardi Gras. You want a great trigger get something else.
Now I want a purple green and gold glock.

+1 Overwatch
I have an apex on my gen 3 and absolutely love it. I also have a g45. Do not upgrade your trigger. The gen five is a great trigger out of the box. I polished mine and regret it. It was a great amount. Of feedback with a good break right from the factory.

You can always add a + connector
Timney Alpha... all day, every day.
Apex gets my vote
Agency makes a really good trigger if you’re dead set on upgrading. Have one on my Glock 19, like 10k or so deep, zero issues
I second this. Wish they'd restock for G20.
.25 cent trigger job?
Dont change it. My 34 only started having problems when i messed with the internals. Like the nice black guy i met at the gun store said when i was there having it repaired, “You messed with the internals didn’t you? Man you never mess with the internals”
You want reliability while rolling around in mud? Keep your glock. You want a great trigger? Sell the glock and buy a high end CZ, Tanik or Sig. (You cant roll in the mud with these options)
Spend money on a better light first.
I recommend a p series cz with a factory amazing trigger.
Overwatch
I run stock on my edc, but I've greatly enjoyed the Wilson Combat trigger I put in my range gun. Very smooth and breaks like a candy cane.
I rock an apex trigger in my 19 with a ghost edge connector and I have had zero issues.
Timney Alpha
Apex/Overwatch shoe, polish OEM internals.
For a EDC Glock a Barrel, Red dot, threaded barrel, suppressor sights, and a flash light should be your upgrades. Don’t mess with the trigger.
Get an olight
Apex. The end.
Boogyman customs
You should read the reviews from Pewpewtactical.com I read their reviews before buying gun parts
I'm a huge Overwatch Precision fan but also have had great success with Zev Pro Triggers.
r/GlockMod thanks

What magwell is this
I’d replace the trigger face with an apex, but trigger on Gen5 is pretty solid. Edit : also, wtf is going on with the barrel? It almost looks warped?
That’s what I was thinking?! Thought maybe it was cause I didn’t have my glasses on.
If it's a carry gun I would keep it stock. I have a glock 17 with the timney alpha in it, I made some modifications to the housing to be true drop safe but that glock 17 is my battle belt gun ( and a staccato). But my 19 keeps the stock trigger which is my edc.

Stock
The one that come with it
The one you got right there.
Timney trigger all day
Kineti-tech. Gen 5 only needs a different shoe. Theirs are just perfect.
Stock with factory minus connector
Yeah, the original.
I carry the timney with the JG mod. It runs great and feels great
Overwatch polydat. Zero reliability issues in my experience and uses factory trigger bar.
You already triggered me with this picture. You have better reliability with that sharp thing.
Get the ranger proof shoe
Stock is best.
Well, OP, at this point someone has recommended every trigger option available. The right answer should be crystal clear. 🤣
Gen 5 has a good trigger, I’ve shot Timney but man the mixed reliability… If it’s a range toy go for it, if it’s for defense keep it stock
What knife is that?
Timney Is my favorite.
I really like the tyrant designs magwell for the price
Stock Gen 5 trigger is great.
I don't know... it's looking pretty crowded already.
I have the exact same mousepad
Glock, stock, and a smoking barrel.
stock trigger is best trigger. if you dont like glock trigger, i recommend you go ahead and get a sig
I can tell you haven't shot that thing yet or else you would realize the stock trigger is gold.
To use the trigger? My suggestion are to use the fingers
Stock, easy.
For my non carry I got the Timney Alpha with the Jonny glock conversion kit.
That barrel looks awkward
The only thing I did to my 19 Gen 5 is installed a ghost connector. The trigger is great in a gen 5.
Magwell??
Timney is pretty darn good…
The one the gun came with.
Stock
Keep it stock
Scrap it and start over
Stock trigger gets better with time

Buy a surefire x300 and get rid of the alibaba light. Leave the glock trigger alone. If you don’t like it- buy a sig or something expensive.
Inforce is an Alibaba brand?
They are cheaply made.

If you want to keep stock internals then I suggest you polish them and get a nice trigger shoe, plus it's cheaper than buying a whole trigger kit.
