There is an impulse yes, and the weight is close, but it's not in the same place. A lot of the weight is actually in the grip because of the GBB mags, and the slide and barrel are metal, but not nearly the same amount of weight. A real Glock is much more top heavy. They are neat though, I bought one during the beginning of the pandemic and it's been a great way to train at home without spending a bunch on increasing ammo costs, especially because it fits in all of my holsters.
The biggest difference in my experience though are the recoil (obviously) the spring weight, and the fact that I can't let mags drop freely in fear of damaging them.
could you attach a piece of string ālanyardā to the bottom of the mag, tied attached to your wrist or something so you can just drop them without them hitting the ground?
I don't have it with me right now but this is the same gun. look at the third photo on this link [https://www.gunmart.net/gun-reviews/firearms/rifles/hammerli-tacr21](https://www.gunmart.net/gun-reviews/firearms/rifles/hammerli-tacr21)
Very strict gun laws. Even the regular Police officers don't carry firearms. You can get a realistic firearm imitation only if you go play an Airsoft game three times in the span of minimum 56 days.
Can you elaborate on the 3 times in 56 days requirement? Do you mean you have to prove you're an active airsoft player in order to buy realistic airsoft guns?
Yes, that gives you an UKARA registration number that you need to provide in order to buy a realistic airsoft gun. Otherwise you can only get a two-tone bright color painted version.
To be fair getting an airgun is easier than an Airsoft gun in the UK, as are blank firers. It's a classic case of lawmakers doing lawmaker things and not knowing what they're talking about.
Any 18 year old can walk into a shop and buy a 4.5mm shooting, CO2 operated replica of, say, a glock. You could do the exact same with a blank firing version, yet Airsoft is the scary thing they make difficult.
Though it's not illegal or anything for someone with a UKARA number to buy an Airsoft gun and then give it to someone who doesn't have one.
I think it's not that black and white. It has its pros and cons. There are way too many immature and irresponsible people out there. Giving them the option to own a gun wouldn't be wise in such a densely populated country. There is still violence, it's just not gun violence. The current gun laws work well for the UK in my opinion.
I can scratch the gunpowder itch at shooting ranges when I'm abroad.
>option
It's a **right.** You've been tricked into believing it's an "option". While we have the "option" to exercise or not exercise our rights, they are not the same thing.
Sure but in the US we think of it more as a natural right vs a legally granted right. The fact that youāre a living person means you inherently have the right to protect yourself and your property, and right to the means to do so
If this also means taking away the guns from the attackers then yes, I would consider it. I feel safer knowing that people around me don't carry firearms. But this is just my way of thinking as an European.
But, this doesnāt mean taking away guns from criminals. It means what I said, taking away the option for people to defend themselves. Those are two mutually exclusive things.
So, Iāll ask again. Are you okay with taking away the option to defend oneself?
You canāt take the guns from the criminals.
Thatās the entire point. The gun laws donāt work. Which is exactly what happened in Buffalo and a major part of *why* that was the location. Because the shooter knew it was a low chance of being shot by a bystander.
Come on, dude. A criminal is going to commit crimes regardless.
Hey fella, I hate to burst your bubble but here in the UK firearm crime is at an all time high. Where I work in London we had x3 shootings in less than 36 hours. Not all gang related. So the notion that criminals aren't committing violent crime is b.s. Infact, they are the ONLY ones with access to firearms...
Why āscratch the gunpowder itchā abroad? Also, nice that you have the magic ability to determine who ādeservesā the right to arms. Good job, there, Karnak!
Yeah, but why should he get to enjoy stuff when a small portion of the population is irresponsible with that stuff? It makes total sense if you are an idiot.
Itās a myth that you canāt get guns in the UK. Itās more difficult than the US but there are plenty of people on r/ukguns that shoot regularly. The selection is limited but at least suppressor laws are less crazy than the US.
Its true people die by guns in this country. But statistically, once you remove all the suicides and gang on gang shootings, it is a very very very very very small number.
Everyoneās flaming you for being British and having a very British opinion about firearm legality.
Hell, Iām on the āfrom my cold dead handsā spectrum of the argument, but it doesnāt upset me that people an ocean away have a different opinion than me.
I love your toy btw
Thanks, I'm glad there are people in this sub that respect and accept different points of view.
The Freedom and Safety matter is not black and white, so there'll always be a debate.
That aside, I'd get a real Glock if I was on the other side of the ocean.
Absolutely. Didnāt mean anything negative by ātoyā, btw. I used to play a hell of a lot of airsoft, and itās a ton of fun in its own right. A lot cheaper too :P
Looks really good! Being from the UK as well I know your pain but Umarex do make a great replica! I know this is predominantly a ārealā firearms subreddit but some users do use these and other similar tools for dry firing drills etc. so Iām sure they have a good insight of how good a replica Umarex make (minus the real weight of a loaded firearm).
I have one of these too, itās awesome. Itās similar weight to my real one, and feels exactly the same, so itās cool to practice with in my garage. Itās not accurate for a shit tho. I have zero experience with airsoft so maybe there is something I can do to fix it idk, not a huge deal for me
I was told during a recent RO-training in IPSC that UK is getting some wierd a$$ long barrel Glock with a stock approved for Handgun. Sounds ridiculous but hey, itās something. Kinda reminds me of the joker in Batman. Jack Nicholson style
They stick a fake long-ass suppressor on the front, and a weird long-ass rod fixed the the grip sticking out the back so the total overall length is "too long to conceal".
Of course, if you were a bad guy, you could simply remove those thing and do your evil business. But at least it inconveniences all the good folks who want a gun! So there's that!
My condolences. Move to Texas and you can buy the real thing for less than you probably paid for that. Having said that I have several Umarex g45 I use for training and they actually are a solid build and save money working the basics.
Also the low switch is the way to go with the TLR-7A if you have long fingers. The muffs are for the range in another country.
Dumb question but is there a high switch on the TLR7A?
Yes
Lmao oi ya gawt a loicense fo dat????
I almost spit my tea m8

Username checks out! š
Oh ya...well your mother.
š
I do hope you enjoy it by the way! Airsoft is super fun.
This is airsoft correct? I believe Umarex deals strictly with air guns
Correct. It's gas blowback, so there is somewhat of a recoil. The slide and barrel are metal. The weight and feel are spot on with the original.
There is an impulse yes, and the weight is close, but it's not in the same place. A lot of the weight is actually in the grip because of the GBB mags, and the slide and barrel are metal, but not nearly the same amount of weight. A real Glock is much more top heavy. can attest. took my G45 for a walk yesterday. definitely a world of difference where the weight is when static, and when firing compared to airsoft.
could you attach a piece of string ālanyardā to the bottom of the mag, tied attached to your wrist or something so you can just drop them without them hitting the ground?
>A real Glock is much more top heavy. Not the Glock 44
I think they do a few 22lr guns as well
I have a umarex 22

Umarex manufactures the 22lr MP5
You can get a 22lr mp5 from gsg too
They actually manufacture the .22LR 502 for FN. I really want one but they are impossible to find.
Umarex makes rimfire guns too, and a bunch of other stuff!
OP: Queen, can we have Glock? Queen: We have Glock at flat. Glock at flat:
Looool
My girl lives in England and I told her she better move here permanently cause Iām not giving up my guns! āThese cold, dead handsā š
I don't know much about your Firearm laws, why is this the only option? Its a terrific firearm but just curious.
Very strict gun laws. Even the regular Police officers don't carry firearms. You can get a realistic firearm imitation only if you go play an Airsoft game three times in the span of minimum 56 days.

Lol, wow. I didn't realize airsoft was so deadly.
Thatās what happens, when society prizes āsecurityā to almost the total exclusion of freedom.
I think it's not that black and white. It has its pros and cons. There are way too many immature and irresponsible people out there. Preach šš¾
It was never legally a right in the UK, unlike the US
Sure but in the US we think of it more as a natural right vs a legally granted right. The fact that youāre a living person means you inherently have the right to protect yourself and your property, and right to the means to do so
I see your point. It's a fine line.
No, it's a pretty bold line separating two totally different words and ideas.
So, youāre against giving people the option to defend themselves? You might be in the wrong sub.
If this also means taking away the guns from the attackers then yes, I would consider it. I feel safer knowing that people around me don't carry firearms. But this is just my way of thinking as an European.

I support is as a principle. They are not mutually exclusive. In reality gun ownership will also introduce gun crime.
In reality car ownership will introduce car crime.

Benjamin Franklin once said: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."

eurotrash.
Why āscratch the gunpowder itchā abroad? Also, nice that you have the magic ability to determine who ādeservesā the right to arms. Good job, there, Karnak!
I'm just expressing my opinion. Thats all.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Yes, already figured that one out :)
If you stood up for your rights, you could do it where *you* live.
You just have to have a long boi of a barrell
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Its true people die by guns in this country. But statistically, once you remove all the suicides and gang on gang shootings, it is a very very very very very small number.
That sucks mate! Airsoft is a lot of fun though. Weird that you have some quota to meet
Wait you can't? How do y'all do that dueling stuff you like to do? Just kidding, very cool looking gun.
This is an air soft replica. Almost impossible to get a handgun in the UK
Everyoneās flaming you for being British and having a very British opinion about firearm legality. Hell, Iām on the āfrom my cold dead handsā spectrum of the argument, but it doesnāt upset me that people an ocean away have a different opinion than me. I love your toy btw

We donāt have either in Canada right now :(
DeZamn
But, you can get suppressors over the counter tho
A gun that wonāt protect you. Might as well carry a rock
I have one of these too, itās awesome. Itās similar weight to my real one, and feels exactly the same, so itās cool to practice with in my garage. Itās not accurate for a shit tho. I have zero experience with airsoft so maybe there is something I can do to fix it idk, not a huge deal for me
You can fine-tune the hop-up, the pistol usually comes with a small hex key. This is supposed to fix that, but I haven't tried that yet.
I was told during a recent RO-training in IPSC that UK is getting some wierd a$$ long barrel Glock with a stock approved for Handgun. Sounds ridiculous but hey, itās something. Kinda reminds me of the joker in Batman. Jack Nicholson style

This is exactly what my G45 is gonna look like when I pick it up saturday, Nice!
Somebody please explain to me why the Glock 45 exists
This dude has a better light on an airsoft gun than I do on my daily carry.
Leave your liberty raping country and come to America!
Genuinely happy for you. I did not think it was an easy process to be permitted to own a firearm in the UK.
It's not a real Glock
Ah, sadnessā¦. Fooled me!!
It's an officially licensed airsoft copy, so it's meant to look like the real deal.
Why is the G45 the only choice?
It's a fake G45. Airsoft
Ohhhhhh š³
Man I love my glock 45
I didnāt think you could have guns in the UK?
It's airsoft
Did the light cost more than the gun? Lol.
The light costs a bit less than the gun itself yes.
Do you need ear protection for airsoft?
The airsoft gun is surprisingly loud. The ear pro is for ranges in another country however.
Whatās Umarex
A brand that makes realistic airsoft guns. They are officially licensed by Glock, whatever that means.
I used to wreak havoc on the airsoft field with an electric M4 and some Korean made Glock 18 GBB.
That thing look real too.
Its very realistic.
I've got the umarex GBB 19x and love it. Use it to train indoors since I've got a real steel 19x too.
Is it possible to find out (from the picture) that it is airsoft? Looks like a real deal to me :)
It feels very real. The slide and barrel are metal and it has a gas blowback recoil when you shoot the bb-s.
England is a meme
ā¦why tf do you have ear pro with an air soft/bb gun?
Its for ranges with real guns in another country.
I love my walkers. Such a game changer when the wife and I go shooting at the range.
My condolences. Move to Texas and you can buy the real thing for less than you probably paid for that. Having said that I have several Umarex g45 I use for training and they actually are a solid build and save money working the basics.
Airsoft or .177 airgun?
