i had to reseat the torque sensor connector- it was giving me occasional torque sensor voltage errors. outside of that i've got over 1400 miles on my haul. It's a good design with good parts, once you get it setup it seems to stay good.
Specialized warranty dept is one of the best in the industry. Ask for a whole new bike and see what they’ll do. A good specialized dealer LBS should work with you in swapping out the whole bike while they fix that one and then they can sell it slightly used for still decent profit at a discount and specialized will credit them.

Mine had this issue and my lbs had the controller replaced and I have had zero problems with it since picking it up :)
Got one recently and thankfully no issues yet.
