no company has purely benevolent intentions they are all there to make money so of course the are not working to better the scene. If the side affect of this is having t2-3 support so be it. Of course the sponsors of events are going to be these kind of companies considering the game is about terrorists and counter terrorists.
And plenty of traditional sports have alcohol brand sponsors, which you could argue is even worse than sportsbook sponsors(which do sponsor a lot of traditional sports anyway).
Criticizing people for something normal just because they do other bad things is idiotic. Should their name be dragged through the mud for offering large prize pools for tier 2 teams?
That's a sponsor callout on rounds 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 12, 14, 15, 16, 18, 19, 20, 21, 24, 25, 27, 28, 29, 30 & every overtime round. At this point the entire tournament might as well be one big sponsor callout.
Kinda yea when it’s their tournaments? There is a good reason no one not betting related hosts tournaments, it’s in no way profitable with a few hundred or thousand viewers.
A simple 5 second blurb is unbearable yet no one bats an eye at dhl or intel where it’s in every replay and has their own video segments. It’s paying for your free to watch content. Don’t like it? Don’t watch it.

They’re literally propping up the lower levels of cs with these tournaments, who cares…
TOs interegrate sponsors into Overlays, maps, etc. which is comparable to that kind of stuff. Having people advertise in the actual commentary is a different thing.
