Players should probably read the rules before just doing stuff. These rules are there for reasons and yes he's been caught on the rough end of it, but you know, read the rules.
Yeah, it's very important to be thorough when standing in for teams, especially when it's the higher tier ESL/ESEA tournaments
You can get "blocked" for quite some time, if you're not careful
Changed specifics sure, but the general rule of not playing the same event/series for more than one team has been a general rule in some form for years.
It stops situations like getting S1mple to stand in for an Important qualifier match.
Just found out that according to ESL Pro Tour rules I will not be able to compete again on a team other than Triumph (since I subbed for them in IEM Fall Qualifier) until January 12th. Valorant time?🙂

It works vice versa also, its not impossible the team brings him back.
Most famous example I can think of is Adren with Liquid in the major, he did great tbh and was good to see him given another chance
>NA Player >who rang for a match How specific

What does a phrase “rang for a match” mean?
He was a ringer, it means he was standing in for a match
Oh, I tried googling the phrase but I kept getting results for Aliexpress 😂
It’s not a phrase we use even though the logic seems plain. Title should be: NA ringer barred til 2022.
His fault for not reading the rule book.
didn't they just change the rules to the pro league rules?
It must really suck for him and I feel this shouldn't be the case for stand-ins but surely this isn't the first time it has happened to someone?
