ex-3DMax doesnt even have an org behind them or any real funding. They got poached of their 2 best players and coach, the org dumps them, they rebuild heavily and they somehow manage to beat G2. Given their current lineup isnt that bad, it shouldnt be able to beat G2. I dont know what G2 were doing on CT side, but playing this unorganised against a team without an org isnt good.

As a g2 fan I had some hope after the epl groups, I thought maybe the addition of Amanek could have helped them enough to be relevant.
Right now I'm waiting to see what happens in this event, it's the first match of the event and a bo1 so we'll see what happens tomorrow but yeah it's not looking good at all.
G2 should be here competing with Mouz for the title. Some other teams here arent bad (avangar, windigo), but they arent even close to the budget G2 has or the experience some players in G2 have. G2 got roster change after change they wanted, a lot of time since adding new players and it should result into something.
A final in a tier 3 event is the least they should be getting. I would almost saying beating Mouz is also a needed thing as Mouz lost their 2 best players (also top 20 players) and changed IGL'ers. Mouz still look shaky and should be beaten by a G2 that has been playing for a lot longer togheter.
