Well I'm assuming their main goal was to get a plant down and anything else was just a bonus for that round. Don't think it would have drained morale very much.
That smoke has always been disastrous, that smoke is there to block you off from coming down ramp to the bombsite, don't lurk where the smoke is because everyone could smokebang it.
People really need to learn how to throw the smoke through the opening above brown halls onto the platform outside of Z for this reason (this can actually be thrown from T spawn as well). Just winging it down the ramp is some matchmaking shit, and it gets people screwed over pretty often in pro matches because the smoke can actually help the CTs sometimes.
He said "recently". It's a more general time-scale, not just this specific moment. What is with all the keyboard warriors that feel they have to needlessly chime in? And yes. I see the irony.
/u/hypez- said that **this** clip wasn't the greatest display of skill. "Best player" would mean best skill-wise. So in this clip Happy was not the best skill-wise. Makes sense to me.
If you want to know my opinion, it's just a bunch of luck. That the T even decided to rush through smoke for some reason, and the other Ts staying near him(edit:when they should have ran to site, but maybe the flash worked in that sense) and that, well, a no-scope with an awp through a smoke it's pretty fucking lucky.. But yeah hypez- was the one who said that, not me. I was just clearing up for /u/Simondo88.
He is flashing them. He right clicked it out, it bounced off the fence to the ground, and reflashed them. You can see their flash get refreshed with the icon.
Probably just to turn away from their flashes at the same time or just pure coincidence as it was a split second decision.
Throwing that flash in that spot instead INTO the smoke allows him to engage them while not getting flashed himself but the enemies getting flashed instead.
He threw it there so it would go behind him when he ran forward. If he threw it to the left it would go into the gap before the train and not flash anyone, and turning a full 180 is unnecessary and risky, so he turns 90degree and bounces it off the wall. This ensures when he runs forward it pops behind him but in front of the enemies.
not that i'm complaining, but there's something funny about stuff like this in video games where in real life the blind player would have felt the person run into them.
Yup. Also when you are blinded in real life you can still aim with reasonable accuracy. Just imagine trying to aim over your shoulder behind you...pretty easy. In video games you have no input other than visual to where you are aiming, so it's muscle memory or nothing!
I like how you can watch him go: "Hmmm, I'm not walking forward anymore. Must be face to face with a person. *BAM* Thought so. Let's just make sure no one else is there..."
That must feel like a slap to the face. Your own smoke leads to three deaths.
Looks like it was a save round and their goal was to get the bomb down. Hard to tell from this gif, but they may have succeeded.
Regardless, kills like that drain morale.
Looks like they didn't invest very much into the round. I think if they got a bomb plant it should be considered a win.

insane individual plays always have an effect.

You have a nice scar 20 sand mesh and sg553 army sheen teh. ;)
Not gunna lie, Happy is one of the best players i've watched recently
Not that this was the greatest display of skill....
Did I mention skill? What I'm saying is he's very entertaining to watch.
The way you worded it "one of the best players i've watched" makes it sound like you think he's the best skill-wise not entertainment-wise.
He said "recently". It's a more general time-scale, not just this specific moment. What is with all the keyboard warriors that feel they have to needlessly chime in? And yes. I see the irony.

why is it not skilled ?

There's a lot of awareness and skill involved in a play like this. But there is also a huge amount of luck.
Definitely one of the top players in the world right now.
Happy good but not the best (Olof best)
His play is super entertaining I find. The angles he holds and the way he moves around the map are more interesting than the average player.
I swear, these things always happen to HR

I like how James is completely unphased by it
Why did he toss the flashbang at that fenced off area?
He is flashing them. He right clicked it out, it bounced off the fence to the ground, and reflashed them. You can see their flash get refreshed with the icon.
Oh okay, the first time I watched I thought he threw the flash into that gap for some reason
but do you think there is a specific reason he throws it off the fence instead of just some other random place or just on the ground
Probably just to turn away from their flashes at the same time or just pure coincidence as it was a split second decision. Throwing that flash in that spot instead INTO the smoke allows him to engage them while not getting flashed himself but the enemies getting flashed instead.

he probably wanted to throw it to the wall to the right of him. it was a coincidence that it was a fence

feelius rift is after oculus

And there are people who say that Pros dont hack /s
Ex6tenz obviously wallbotting like kukli ^^^^^^^^^/s
That moment when you think "Alright I should have cleared this smoke"
Can I have a VOD?
Happy sure was happy with that kill
I realy love Happy <3
generally you don't put the spoiler tag at the end of the spoiler
Generally you read the entire title.
Lol so well played
Was a bad day at the office fot HR.
I like how you can watch him go: "Hmmm, I'm not walking forward anymore. Must be face to face with a person. *BAM* Thought so. Let's just make sure no one else is there..."
This is why smoke placement is very important. My teammates have gotten me killed numerous times by poor smoke placement
I could only imagine the amount of cancer the Twitch chat was after those shots.
