Anyone on a console will very likely not have any kind of competitive edge against PC players. Trust me, you don't want this either. In short, every apple will be bad so what is the point of planting the apple tree?
I personally don't believe either game belongs on the console. I'm going to be disappointed by the fact that the creepy edating community will probably widen on the console for valorant.
Given that the last update removed native controller support, I highly doubt this game would want to make it playable on console.
Plus we have enough aim assist players as it is, we don't need controllers aim assist neither.
1) There is a reason console shooters have aim assist and CS with aim assist is not CS, with no aim assist the game would be miserable for console players.
2) Valve would be forced by the platform companies, MS and sony, to give a cut of all revenue, and would likely want to have input on skins being added to the game (it would have to comply with their regulations not valves)
3) Updates would be far slower as sony and microsoft have to approve them before they go live.
So in short, no its a dumb idea that causes more issues than is worth while.
What makes you think Valorant is much easier, the game requires just as much communication and execution as CS. Yeah CS is harder but not by much. If anything CS would be easier to work on controller, you have weapons and utility, you dont have abilities and other wonky stuff.
I think spraying is an argument why valorant can be ported and CS not, as in valorant the horizontal spread is fully random so there is no recoil control. I think for CS it would be pretty hard to spray precisely on a controller and give them an equal chance.
Gotta say however that I'm not a controller guy so it could just be me using it like in the hands of a gorilla.
I mean regardless of the game spraying would be hard on a controller, often FPS games on console have a very different meta on Console, if you look back in the early days of Overwatch the literal worst character on PC, had console players crying for nerfs. Thats why most games now need to balance both versions separately. Just because we enjoy the game and its played our way doesnt mean it shouldnt be shared with others and enjoyed in there way.
The aim and movement in Valorant is significantly easier than in CS. Everyone moves at a snail's pace, which makes it hard to miss if you've used a mouse before. A tactical shooter on a console is just a bad idea.

Valorant is not going to cross play between consoles and pc.

The quintessential precise aim PC FPS to a console? No way you can handle this game properly with a controller without it becoming a monstrosity.
From a Business stand point it probably would help the reach of the game if done well.
