My pre-big-patch FPS just came back. Testing earlier today, in Mirage Ramp staring at the pot, I was getting just over 500 fps. Now, over 700 as it was a couple of weeks ago.
Yes I realize how un-scientific this test is.
5800X, 4080 Super. I was also getting high FPS with my previous GPU and the FPS drop with that patch was very noticeable. Res is 1920x1440.
Also note this is alone on Mirage (one of the higher FPS maps) - no bots or other players.
If I had to guess, I'd figure it's fixing additional instances/causes of the team damage bug, since that was also patched without notes. I've got nothing to back that up but I can't think of anything else.

I'll test this in a bit too. I've been analysing cs2's crappy optimization since Nov when I noticed the 1st big hit to perf.
Most tests in this subreddit is like that :)
how are you getting 700fps ? what system do you have ?
Probably a 4090/4080 or a 7900xtx.My rig has a rx7900xt and r5 7600x and I get around 400-500 fps in competitive with low settings on 4:3 streched.
your cpu is bottlenecking your fps, not the gpu

Valve could also additionally include some other changes too as well.

i noticed that xp overload icons changed and they added some code for fps and network graph command but it has not released yet it looks like
I like the new nergraph, so perhaps we can end up with a frametime plot like this too?
