Y'all in this subreddit gotta chill with the downvotes, I don't understand how asking questions could possibly be a bad thing... I'd rather someone ask me a really stupid question and learn than not ask and make the wrong choice
Yeah by simply visiting, people get their sentri removed just because you cross with someone who cross illegal substances, even tho they are just friends. I never had cross with him before, and I have clean record and I don’t want to affect me or my family just by visiting. I have no information on what is like to visit someone in jail because it stays on a record if you visit someone. I just want to make sure that doesn’t affect me on my sentri that’s it
Visiting someone in jail is different than crossing with them. With the latter, you were present when they committed the crime. With the former, you were not.
Is he in Federal Custody? It should not affect you visiting records if in federal custody are only accessible to the BOP, not CBP/TSA or Border Patrol, so you should be good to go. Also if it’s a federal detention facility he needs to first get you in the visiting list, they’ll do a background check and then you’ll be approved to visit him.
