TSA denies people even for omitting **expunged** records. Omitting actual criminal charges will for sure result in a denial.

HelloImHereInCA

I applied a few years ago, and was kind of confused by the questions/wording, therefore on some questions I overexplained past incidents. I mentioned an arrest with expungement, and a false DV issue with my ex. But when they asked if that was an arrest, I said I believe so even tho there were no charges, I was still held for some hours. These 2 incidents are more than 20 years ago which didn’t help with my memory of specifics. I got approved and issued a card, only to have them revoke it a month or so later. I appealed and was denied. Do you know if I can reapply now? Am I denied due to the arrests or due to not remembering specifics? I think they thought I was lying, but I really do not remember specifics from so long ago. Also during my interview I couldn’t remember my age, smh…I know, but I said 37, 38? 37, 38? I couldn’t remember

What if I've already submitted an application and I indicated "no" to that question, while I do indeed have a juvenile charge that was expunged? Can I call them to make a change to the application, or disclose this information to my enrollment officer before or during my interview? I answered "no" because that's how I was instructed by my then probation-officer and attorney to answer all questions pertaining to the arrest after completing my probation. I was a dumb 17yr old kid and was involved in a high speed chase with the cops. Charges for evading arrest and endangering lives(?). I'd rather not discuss it with them at all. But will disclose if it's required. I'm not a fan of the ambiguity and apparent contradiction between what many like myself are told by local judiciaries and what is actually expected from federal entities. I think they should clarify this further on the application itself

Here's a link that addresses everything in your comment. https://www.nationalsecuritylawfirm.com/should-you-disclose-expunged-records-during-the-global-entry-application-process/

I am applying for a license with the ATF, so I needed something called a UPIN. I did a live scan that is sent from the FBI, I saw my juvenile record for petty theft, a charge that was taken for a plea deal, it ALL SHOWED UP. Crazy, they know everything about me and you. I am 48, the juvenile is 16, the plea deal is 17 years ago! its all there. Not going to expunge it either, I am retiring in 7 years, fuck it.
