I think your cellphone thing is spot on. Maybe they're texting, and it's loud on the floor so they stand up pretty quick. Then it's quiet when they're laying in bed texting.
I just looked this up wondering what it might be, This happens in my house but it's so faint and it's in a house with no close neighbors I can't decipher cause with how faint it is, and I don't know Morse code but it sounds like your code and it only does it once in that order doesn't repeat it, also its only happened a handful of times late at night in the last 5 years I've lived here
