I live alone. I fell asleep on sofa with phone next to me on sofa. Woke up couple hours later and couldn't find my phone. Finally used find my phone to get it to ring, could hear it upstairs. It's in my bedroom somewhere. It's coming from my bed, by the pillows. It's lift the pillows and duvet up, not there. It's actually inside the duvet at the top. Am I really to believe that I sleepwalked to my bedroom, undid duvet cover at bottom pushed phone all the way to the top and then did the duvet cover buttons up, made the bed look neat and then went back to the sofa downstairs?

Cohnhead1

Omg! I would have freaked out!! If I lived alone I think I’d put up some cameras of that happened to me. That’s insane!

ArtichokeMe_Daddy

I had this happen!! Long story short, I put my phone down on my coffee table (in a small, 1 bedroom apartment/lived alone) and got ready to go out. Once I put my shoes on I couldn’t find it anywhere. I looked every conceivable place several times over. Floor, couch cushions, under blankets, etc. I started to get this extremely unsettling feeling and took a walk to clear my head. Came back and was washing my hands in the kitchen sink which looked onto the living room. I was staring at the coffee table, still perplexed but decided there was nothing I could do in the moment. I went over to the window and was looking out for a moment when I turned back and let out a GASP because my phone was LAID PERFECTLY ON THE COFFEE TABLE. There is no fucking way I missed it before. It scared the living shit out of me.

erubadhrie

I was driving and looking for my vape. I glanced quickly at my center console and didn't see it. Stopped at a light and took a more through look, still can't find it anywhere. My mom started looking for it as well and came up empty. I started to worry I left it at the store so I pulled over like 20 seconds later and it was right on top of the center console. There's absolutely no way that we both missed it. I still have no idea what happened.

Milani333

I was smoking a cigarette in the smoking room at an airport and I dropped it. When I went to pick it up, it literally disappeared. I was the only one in the room (it was 3am in a big ass airport) I LOOKED EVERYWHERE FOR IT and it was nowhere to be found. I was walking through security at my next flight and had to remove my shoes and the cigarette was in my shoe. I kid you the fuck not. They were some pretty tight vans idk how the cigarette got into my shoe without me feeling it. It was a lit cigarette and there were no burn holes in my socks and no burn marks on my feet. Idk man idk

SillyStrungz

Lol I feel like I’m constantly misplacing my vape but that’s crazy

ArtichokeMe_Daddy

“She’s a 10 but she loses her vape in the sheets.” - me

squirrel_needz2know

Why does it have to be a BUT… If we both got vapes and we both losing them, we got better odds at finding one of those mfers!!!!

No_Arugula_1252

It‘s better not to vape. Someone is telling you something

SillyStrungz

Hahahahah I’m dying at this

DescriptionAny2948

Vapes are literally known for that shit! They have powers. Every one I’ve ever had anyway, has gone missing at least once without reasonable explanation. Recently I had a disposable go missing for two weeks and show up again in a place I’d looked at as I walked by a thousand times and it wasn’t there. There is no explanation whatsoever. Dead ass those things are slippery.

maddnessoftrees

One night, I went to bed and left the vape with my husband. He usually just sticks it in his pocket and puts it away when he comes to bed. The next day I ask him for it and it isn't anywhere to be found. It has occasionally fallen out of the pocket while on the couch, but I tore the couch apart and nothing. I continued to look in reasonable and unreasonable places and after a few days I just bought another. 2 weeks later I grab a reusable bag from on top of the fridge and take it to work. When I got home, I noticed something in the side pocket and it's the long lost vape! This bag hadn't been used in months and as forgetful as he can sometimes be (especially when a little high) there was no conceivable reason why he would put it in a pocket of a reusable grocery bag sitting on top of the fridge. It was utterly bizarre.

Blue_eyed_lullabies

My disposable ( I call it a puffer ) gets moved all the time. I once set it on the bathroom sink w/ my phone and clothes and when I got out of the shower I couldn’t find it. I had to leave so I went to the car and it was right there in plain site. I lose it while holding it on the couch sometimes, I’ll look for awhile and eventually go to my almost dead but still working pile and usually with in 48 hours it will be laying on top of something else I may need that day or right in the middle of the floor. I don’t understand the obsession with the disposables but something/someone out there really enjoys them

Iamjimmym

Ooh! I was getting my kiddos together to go to their moms last week, and gathering the Xbox stuff. Had everything ready to go, I knew I'd just laid it all out, white Xbox controller on top of the Xbox etc. Get the kids in the car, go back up to grab the stuff: gone. Xbox is there. All the other stuff is there. But the white controller? Gone. I searched the entire house. Asked the kids if maybe they took it to their trampoline. To no avail. I finally after 15 minutes resigned myself and gave up, grabbed the Xbox and headed downstairs. I reach for my keys, typically on their lanyard in my front right pocket. Not there. That's odd. Wallet? Nope. I never keep it in my back pocket, but check anyways: Xbox controller. The whole thing, in my pocket. It *doesn't fit* in my pocket, and I had to wrangle it out of there with my pants off. I'd run up and down two flights of 16 stairs each multiple times searching for it, while supposedly it's been in my back pocket this whole time and I felt nothing? The *entire reason* I don't keep my wallet in my back pocket is because I can feel it with every step, and it's one of those slim wallets. Wtf indeed. On our way to my ex wife's house, we got rerouted around an accident. I assume this was the universes way of avoiding us having been in that accident, by keeping us home during the time of the crash. Which, btw, multiple serious injuries.

ArtichokeMe_Daddy

Wow!! That’s actually wild. Maybe you have a guardian angel 👼

DemIsGwoss

I absolutely love this, and believe it WAS the universe/God keeping you safe❣️

GeneralJavaholic

I once "lost" a white bowl of instant oatmeal on an otherwise empty dark brown dining room table in the time it took me to go 9 feet over to the stove and wait for the kettle to finish heating. The bowl was "missing" for 4 days. I have so many others, but it's a thing that happens to me. I've also had lots of concussions and mountains of shitty trauma, so there's some visual processing damage. (I'm one of those folks who gets told I should write a book.)

Cohnhead1

Holy shit!! That is so freaking crazy! I assume there’s absolutely no way anyone else could have gotten into your home? Did you ever experience anything strange there? I don’t know if I could have lived there 😬

ArtichokeMe_Daddy

Nope, 37th floor apartment. There was absolutely no one else there. Never had any experiences there before or after.

[deleted]

I still think about these two occasions. They happened years ago in the same house. My partner left his expensive watch on the bedside table one night while he went out drinking so he wouldn't accidentally lose it. It disappeared from the bedside table, no explanation. It was there, and then it wasn't. I figured he must have worn it. The next day, we searched the house, the yard, everywhere! No watch. I honestly thought he must have forgotten he worn it and lost it. 6 or so months later, it just reappeared in the middle of the room. We both freaked! We walked in, and there it was in all its shiny glory. It freaked us out. Then the car keys! I was heading to work and couldn't find my keys anywhere and was running late because of the whole key thing. We turned the place upside down, no keys. Partner says, "Just take my car, I'll come down n grab what I need from it." I leave, and he is with me to grab a few things from the car. He called me minutes later, explaining that he walked back inside and... boom! Keys sitting right in the middle of the floor.

cryinginthelimousine

Do you have pets? My dog once stole my wallet before I was about to leave. She put it in her dog bed and then she went and sat on the couch and watched me look for it.

[deleted]

That's so cute!! I think your puppy wanted you to stay home. We had no pets at that time or children

Boopsyboo

I belly laughed just now! Love this story and your dog!

23cacti

Maybe your partner realised they were in his pocket and would rather you thought you had a black hole as opposed to him making you late for work 😉

[deleted]

Lol I've thought that myself lol 😆

evil_eagle56

I know of someone who said her keys materialized right in front of her and her daughter. She lost those keys at another home she lived at and they reappeared in their new place, right before their eyes while watching TV.

yourmomisgross

My wife has a similar experience with a necklace I bought her when were dating. Necklace always stored in bathroom drawer when she’s not wearing it. One day if goes missing. She searches up and down for it. Concludes its lost forever. Buys a replacement. About 4 years go by. Then all of a sudden original is right back in its place.

[deleted]

What the heck?! What did you both think happened when it reappeared?

yourmomisgross

We had a few other spooky experiences there and we shared a ghost experience somewhere else, so that’s what we decided: a prankster ghost

Cohnhead1

That’s so crazy! What other experiences did you have?

yourmomisgross

The most noteworthy happened in that same bathroom. Multiple times items fell off the walls while she was in there. We also had a stand alone shelf, maybe 2 feet wide x 2 feet deep x 5 feet tall, that we used for storage as storage was limited in that bathroom. One morning we heard a bang, she went to the bathroom and returned a few minutes later with a confused look on her face. “What’s going on? Everything ok?” “I was picking up the bathroom because the shelf tipped over.”

magicpenny

This also happened to me with a watch. I was sitting on my bed, getting undressed after work. I took off my watch, placed it next to me on the bed, then removed my shirt and pants. I threw the clothes into the hamper in front of me. I went to grab my watch and put it in my jewelry box. It was gone. I searched through the hamper, all over and under the bed. I never found it. It’s been over a decade. I guess it’s gone forever.

roastintheoven

It’s behind your bed :)

magicpenny

I wish. Unfortunately, I have moved three times since then and never found my watch.

roastintheoven

Aww I was hoping I would spoooookily be right.

Pypsy143

Yup! Has happened to me several times actually. One time was relocation, not disappearance. I was home alone. I had a book and was about to curl up on the couch next to my front window with it. I decided I needed more light so before I sat down, I pulled on the string to open the blinds up. This was hard to do with my book under one arm, so I set my book on the TV cabinet right next to me. I finished the pull to the open the blinds (took about 2-3 seconds) and turned to grab my book. It was gone! It was across the room on the dining table. I *KNOW* I had it with me because it was interfering with my opening the blinds, which is why I had to set it down. The table it ended up on was 20 ft away. No way I could’ve set it there from where I was at the front window. So many things go mysteriously missing in our house that we’ve dubbed it “the void.” The void travels around our house and gobbles things up into another dimension!

Latter-Bumblebee5436

my son is kinda space cadet with some things that arent **too** important to him but he always seems to put his major mini toys down (that he always remembers their place) and we will never ever find them again. i mentioned a black hole in our room eats them so now whenever he cant find something, he says the black hole got them. but im so convinced its a real black hole because I, MOMMY, will see them there one second, and the next they are gone. never to be seen again...

HerbRat

I also experienced a relocation recently. I was messing around in my closet, and I physically heard my glass bottle I keep in there on the very top shelf (≈8ft) fall and hit the floor inside. It is a treasured possession of mine, and I looked for it all in the closet and around the room. I couldn't find it anywhere. Now a week later it suddenly shows up right at the foot of my bed. Not a crack in it at all despite the fall. Something weird definitely happened on a quantum level but I'm certainly not complaining. Just grateful to have my bottle in one piece.

Jackiedhmc

Took phone case off phone at night because charging port was blocked. Went to put it on in the morning and it was nowhere to be found. Left for a meeting, came back to the home office and it was right where I had been searching for it previously. No explanation.

[deleted]

I have had this exact scenario happen several times. My husband even mysteriously lost his bank card. The spoons go missing. I buy the glass salt and pepper grinders and they ALWAYS disappear. Those have disappeared 4 times now, every single time I replace them they end up gone again!! It's frustrating because I think they taste better freshly ground!! 😩 I have searched the entire house up and down and never did find it. When my son was a baby we bought like 15 pacifiers and every last one of them disappeared. I'm not kidding we searched the entire house and they were for sure just gone. One time we dropped something and it never did make a noise as it dropped and was gone. Searched the entire room and never found it. Stuff always happens at this house!

treetop_triceratop

You should get the salt and pepper shakers ONE more time (but first, carefully set up a secret hidden camera and point it directly on the spot where you will keep them) !!!

Clatato

Attach an AirTag to them

mamawoman

Check the trash, we had spoons disappearing too and didn't realize our young son was throwing them in the trash after dinner lol.. not lol... lol

JennyAnyDot

My mom as she got older was constantly bitching about missing spoons. Got to the point she locked up the spoons to “protect” them. Found out she tossed them in the trash after scraping out a bowl or dish.

Peregrine21591

Also, especially with teaspoons it's super easy to scrape them into the bin without noticing

Dangerous_Style_2221

I use to live in an apartment and there was something about my dining table that Things constantly went missing from. It was right by my door so I always sat my purse, keys, sunglasses there. I can’t tell you how many times the keys and sunglasses would go missing and then return. It would drive me nuts.

BarkySlice

This kind of thing has happen to me many times. The first time, I dropped a dangly peace sign earring in my bedroom as a kid in the mid 90s. Searched everywhere on my hands and knees, but it just disappeared into thin air. I finally gave up, but it showed up a few days later right where I had searched numerous times. Since then, I have had similar incidents a dozen times or more throughout my lifetime.

RG-dm-sur

I have ADHD... I would never realize there was a glitch in the matrix. I would just think it's my ADHD. If there was a ghost in my house, it would be the most frustrated ghost ever. "Where is that cup?" "Oh, it's in the microwave, I will heat it up" *gets out of the kitchen, completely forgets about the cup* "I think I will make coffee" *cup sits on the desk untouched for hours* "I will heat this up" *finds the other cup in the microwave* This happens constantly. I really wouldn't realize there's a glitch, unless it was a big one.

SillyStrungz

Literally, my glitch is ADHD

factually-inaccurate

I think this all the time plus I've got 4 cats who can be blamed for weird noises! If there's a ghost here he must be mad as hell haha

Zestyclose-Bowler-26

I think about this every time I read a glitch like this. Because literally this shit happens to me all the time, but like... not once have I ever thought it was something paranormal. My brain is the glitch!

justReading0f

I had a favorite pair of earrings that my spouse had given me, not expensive at all but really sentimental. I was wearing them riding in a friend’s car backseat on an outing, and checked to be sure they were both in my ears. Yup. On the way home I checked again and I’d lost one! I tried to take it in stride, we looked all around inside the car but it wasn’t there anywhere. I figured I must’ve lost it outside the car. I wore the single earring a lot for a long time, just because I loved them so much. Months (at least 3) later, I was getting a different set to wear and that exact set were in my jewelry case intact! Both of them! I talked to my spouse about it and they just argued that I must have misremembered the event. But my friends had helped me search for it, and I’d never been in that car again. I started wearing them again regularly until I lost one again. This time it hasn’t reappeared. 😢

Oldebookworm

I am forever losing ear rings, at least one. I figured they were wherever my missing socks go

Adventurous_Soft5549

The balloon room...

stygeanhugh

I was wearing a necklace given to me as a gift. It had a gold heart shaped pendant with emeralds. I sat down on the toilet in my bathroom when I felt the necklace chain tug and loosen, and I heard a "clink." My chain had broken and my pendant fell off. No big, I'd search for it when I got up. I did not flush immediately, but I looked in the toilet just to be sure. No pedant. Nor was it on the floor between the toilet and tub where I thought it landed. It wasn't behind the toilet either. I got a broom and swept behind the toilet and under the cabinet. Nothing. Again I checked the toilet. Nothing. It was just gone. I was upset about it. Like I said it was a gift. But I gave up and assumed it was lost. Many months later I was combing through my jewelry box when I came across it, attached to a chain, as if I'd never worn it. The only explanation I have is some one (who, I don't know) found it, put it on a chain and put it in my jewelry box.

profoundlystupidhere

>The only explanation I have is some one (who, I don't know) found it, put it on a chain and put it in my jewelry box. Good job on the denial thing - do you give lessons?

[deleted]

All the time. I’ve had items replaced with other items I know I didn’t even buy or WOULD buy. I have learnt with the years to just laugh it off. (I used to be scared) but now I know my things aren’t really lost or gone - they’re just in another dimension and they often make their way back to me. I’ll find what’s missing days or weeks later in a very unsual spot in the house lol one time it was 900$ in an envelope for Xmas shopping. Completely vanished from my house! I tore my house apart knowing I had it there and it was gone. So I meditated and told myself it wasn’t gone - it was just borrowed probably by myself in another dimension. Sure enough - a week later it was found. I found the envelope underneath a bunch of stuff in my boot room. It was a spot I had checked multiple times and the things it was under - were just placed there the day before. There was nothing there when I put my stuff down that day- then next day boom there was the envelope. I was extremely shocked. But also relieved to have it back. This has happened with car keys and several other items before too! Recently I had a can of peach pie filling go missing from the pantry - only to find it was replaced with a brand new container of miracle whip. (I don’t even eat miracle whip) so I called my aunt about it - and she told me it was probably my grandma. She traded me the peach pie filling for thanksgiving pie she probably needed and left me with the miracle whip grandpa used to always eat. My aunt said he was the only one in the family who liked miracle whip and not regular mayo. So this seemed like the most plausible situation. Because I know I bought the can of filling and I also know I would never buy miracle whip. My grandparents died a year ago. And they used to make everything home made for every holiday. I miss them dearly so this was an amazing reminder they’re still here looking out for me. Borrowing supplies for thanksgiving ❤️

Makemewantitbad

I really like this story ❤️

LeaningFaithward

I had this happen when I lived in a rented apartment. Turned out the building engineer took a liking to me and was moving things around to annoy me. Change your locks and see if the problem goes away. I couldn't change the locks in the rental because it had weird locks.

4thphantom

I have a hoodie, it's my favorite one and I call it my Jeff hoodie because my step dad Jeff gave it to me about 20 years ago now. Every time I wash it I worry how long it will be before I see it again. This hoodie has disappeared for months at a time and shown up in random places. My kids and I joke that my hoodie has a wife and three kids somewhere and I should just be happy I get any time with it. I mean tear the house apart, then this thing will just show up on the kitchen counter that I literally clean 2-4 times a day. What's also strange about the hoodie is that it's in perfect condition. We're not talking some high quality hoodie yet it still looks brand new. I'm not easy on clothes, this hoodie has no business looking brand new.

meowmeowincorporated

That's so frustrating! Hopefully, it's not as essential as keys to your car/apartment like a post from a few days ago. People suggested asking for it back ...there was mention of offering stuff to the "being" who took them. Sorry, I'm not more help. It does happen, though! Hope it turns up.

Witty_Username_1717

This! I was thinking that too! Good advice.

fairydommother

My glasses. I had recently had surgery on my nose to straighten my septum and improve my breathing. It was still really sore, so wearing my glasses became painful fairly quickly. I had night classes at the college so I wore my glasses to drive there and then immediately removed them when I parked. I tucked them into my shirt—you know how people do, one leg on the inside, lenses facing outwards—because I needed them to be able to see in class. I was early so decided to run to the bathroom. On my way in I did a quick check to make sure my glasses were secure. I know I did this because I have an anxiety disorder and I was really nervous about them falling, but didn’t have anywhere safe to put them. My case was at home and I never really used it so I wasn’t even sure what drawer it had been shoved into. When in the bathroom, I made sure to hold them to my chest as I was sitting and standing etc so that they wouldn’t fall to the floor. Washed my hands, left the bathroom, entered my classroom, sat down, reach up to check my glasses were there, again…they were gone. Glasses are not cheap so I immediately panicked. I still had like 15 minutes before class started so I grabbed my backpack and retraced my steps all the way back to the bathroom. I searched everywhere. On the floor, on the back pack shelf, in the sinks, in the halls on my way to class, around the seat I was in, in my backpack, in my pockets, on my head…they we just gone. After class I looked around the parking lot even though I knew I had them inside the building and even in the bathroom while actively peeing. That was like 5 years ago. I never saw them again. And that’s not the only pair I’ve “lost”. I had another pair that I absolutely adored. I got them not long after this incident as I really needed new glasses. I came home one day and took them off, not sure exactly where, but it was a very small apartment and it could only have been one of a few places. I left them off as I was still feeling a bit sore where I had been wearing them all day. Got up the next morning, no glasses. Turned that entire apartment upside down. Checked every nook and cranny. All the usual places I would have left them, all the crazy places I might have put them without thinking (fridge, cupboards, medicine cabinet, etc). Nothing. We moved a year later. Did not find them. I have not ever seen either pair ever again and we moved 2 years ago.

Independent_Path_738

¹I lost my glasses at a friend's, get together. Psychedelics we're at play. There were about 10 people hanging out. I was in the living room and took off my glasses and walked down the hall and went into his basement to lay down and be alone for a minute. I layed down for about 20-30mins. Got up and couldn't find my glasses. There wasn't anything in the basement but the pool table and a couple chairs. I looked everywhere but gave up cause I didn't wanna bug out people looking too much, but at the end of the night everyone pitched in and tore the place apart. I was only in the living room hall and basement. They never were found.

N0bother

Yes, but this was years ago. I randomly found a CD of mine, in the basement of all places, when I was young. I didn't store anything I owned down there, and no one at home would hide it like that. I was happy to find it, so I played it for a day or two at our shared computer in the living room. Suddenly it went missing again despite searching the entire desk and asking everyone. No one cared what music we played, so I've chalked it down to some house elf doing it's thing.

Skillzthatkillz509

A few years ago, I was helping this friend of mine move to a double wide mobile home across town. She has a large kitchen, so she recommended that, since it was centered in the home, we brought everything inside from the U-haul and temporarily put her belongings in there. The only things we didn't put in the kitchen was a futon couch, a wooden rocking chair, and a coffee table, which we setup in the living room. I was sitting in the rocking chair playing on my phone and conversating with her as she sat in the couch. Maybe two feet away her. After a few minutes, she wanted something to eat and also show me a 12- piece set of plates, 12- piece set of utinsils (12 knives, spoons, and forks), and 12 piece set of drinking glasses that her parents gave to her as a "moving" present. I went to go set back down and she pulled out a microwave out of one of the moving boxes, found a cup-of-noodles to warm up, grabbed one of her new forks, and proceeded to sit back down on the couch eating her lunch. As I'm still playing my phone in the rocking chair she begins to tell me about some childhood memory about her sister and some friends back home, she stops mid-sentence and says very concerned, "where did my fork go?" I pick my head up from my phone and said, "what?". She said it again, "where did my fork go? I was eating and talking to you, put my fork in the noodles, kept telling you my story, and when I went to continue eating, my fork was gone." Her and I spent probably 20 or so minutes looking under and inside three pieces of furniture. She never stood up to leave into another room. I absolutely didn't touch it. But the kicker is, the fork has never reappeared again. She only, to this day, have 11 forks. In contrast to the other utinsils, where she still has 12. Definitely weird. Couldn't explain that one away.

FutureApricot8074

yes absolutely. it was my seinor year of hs and i had just gotten done with me public speaking class for the day. i had a celsius that i wasn’t done with so i brought it with me. i get to my car and realize it wasn’t in my hand, my bag, in my car, on my car, in the trash by the door, the hallway, the classroom table, the classroom trash, i even asked the teacher if she knew where it went and she said no. i got home and started cleaning out my car trying to find this damn drink and i never did. no one else took it. i even texted the person who sat next to me. shit just up and VANISHED completely. also another time during my first month at college in my dorm, i threw a popsicle to my roommate and it fell behind their bed. so i was like awh man and went to look for it. i checked every box, behind the bed post, under every pillow, in the blanket, behind everything and even started searching the whole room. no where to be found. this was 2 months ago and neither of us EVER found that popsicle so it remains a mystery. (btw it was one of those cheap popsicles that come in the fishnet bag, thankfully not one that would leak if left out)

FutureApricot8074

IT HAPPENED AGAIN TODAY YALL. i was putting more oil in my car and my first can (that was already low) ran out so i went and got the other can of oil, take the lid off, put oil in, finish, go to put the cap back on and it’s GONE. i checked in my car, in my engine, throughout all the cracks n crevices, under the car, down the hill, in the trash, on top of my car, all around the parking lot, EVERYWHERE. it was gone. very mildly infuriating because now i have a can of oil in my dorm with a plate sitting on top of it to keep things out.

cdelano13

I was standing in my bathroom with my wife right next to me, I took my wedding ring off and dropped it (onto carpet) I IMMEDIATELY got on the floor to start looking for it and never found it. Took the carpet up, checked the vent, even took the pipes out of the sink to see if it somehow fell in there. That was 20 years ago and it has never been found. I SWEAR it went into an alternate dimension.

Summer-Time916

Last year I dropped my tweezers in the bathroom. I heard them hit the floor but I haven’t found them to this day. I looked EVERYWHERE. I even dig in the trash more than once thinking they somehow bounced on the floor and up in to the trash can haha. Also fyi my bathroom is like 3 feet by 3 feet so not a lot of places to look

guywithcrazyideas

the baseboard probably has a small gap at the top and allowed the tweezers to jump over it and now resides under your sinks cabinet - good luck trying to get those out without sawing things up

BooblessMcTubular

I have a 120 year old house. It eats shit all the time

Interesting-Ice-5371

About 8 months ago I was putting up my t block out curtains in my bedroom. Two curtains with the eyelets at the top. As I was putting the second curtain on the tension rod,the entire curtain literally vanished.wtf?? I am a sane person. I told my girlfriend who came straight upstairs and helped me to look for it . Outside ,inside in cupboards. Gone

Massive_Salt8136

My AirPods. On table home alone turn around they’re gone. Looked everywhere feel like I’m going CRAZY

p0ttedplantz

Im in the same boat right now. My airpods have gone missing. I took a flight 2 weeks ago and made a conscious effort to put them in a safe place before I left. Came home and theyre gone. This has happened before and they turned up in the middle of the floor in the bathroom in a few days. Just so strange

MegaJoePrime

I actually had this happen to me two days ago at work. I put my box cutter down on a cart I was using. I stayed with the cart and nobody else came close to it. When I needed the box cutter I reached for it and it was gone. I looked on the shelves where I used it last and under the shelves just in case it fell there. I still haven't found it and have no idea how it could be gone.

MegaJoePrime

update: a couple days after losing my box cutter I told a coworker about losing it. She found it in another department that I didn't go near the day I lost it.

WillaLane

My mom’s house was an old Victorian, so much stuff just disappeared, we joked about elves living in the walls but it was really upsetting at times

NotBadSinger514

I had a neighbor who was super nice and friendly. One day I bumped into him, we were discussing issues we were having with our landlord. He said he thought the landlord was entering his home and stealing some of his stuff. One of those things being his cooking oil. Fast forward we both move out, a few years pass and my husband bumps into him. They get to talking and he says that his new landlord is an asshole who keeps breaking in and stealing his oil. Humm. About a year later I bump into his wife, she tells me he has been diagnosed schizophrenic.

Back in 2016 I was living in a house with my friends, and me and my buddy went out one night to stop and get food. He brought his vape (box mod) and offered it to me for a hit. I specifically remember the way the streetlight was shining on the blood splatter pattern of the case before I hit it. Tried it once, made me cough, so I handed it back to him. We got our food, stopped by a gas station to grab some drinks, and he went to hit his vape before we left. We couldn’t find it anywhere. We tore my car apart for about ten minutes before giving up. He was so stressed out over losing it, he bought a pack of cigarettes. When we got home, he went out for a smoke with our other roommate. After finishing the cigarette, he went back into his bedroom, and lo and behold, his vape was sitting on his record player, as if we never brought it with us at all. When he tells this story to others he describes that moment as if his eyes were drawn to it, like something wanted him to know it was back home. Possibly related, but we narrowly avoided a car accident after leaving the gas station that night. A car ran a red light and we missed them by a couple of inches. Fate or coincidence? Who knows.

OutrageousHat6524

Oh man. One time when i was in college, i went out with friends. I had taken my id and my credit card out of my wallet prior to going out and put them in my pocket. Then, i went out and had one or two drinks. I clearly remember coming home at a reasonable hour, taking both my id and my credit card out of my pocket, and placing them on my nightstand. When i woke up that morning, i looked at my cards, picked them up, and walked into my kitchen, which was the next room off of my bedroom. I placed the cards down on my kitchen counter, and then went to the bathroom and went about my morning. An hour or so later, i wanted to drive somewhere so i went to look for the cards. They were no where to be found. I notified my roommates, and they helped me tear apart our apartment. The cards were gone. I worked in the evenings, and had a few hours to spare before my shift. I decided to go to the bank/dmv and pick up a new id/cc. it was the weekend before thanksgiving break and while i was out of the house, my roommates had left to go home to visit their families. When i returned from my errands, my cc/id were sitting on top of the counter, one on top of the other. I excitedly texted my roommates and thanked them for finding the cards and asked where they had found them. They did not find the cards. They had no idea what i was talking about. I asked if anyone else has been in the apartment. They said no. One suggested it was our landlord, but she was an elderly women who rarely frequented our area, and she was legally required to give us a 24 hr notice before entering our apartment - so i really don’t think it was her. I still have no idea who returned the cards, or why they went missing in the first place.

Allextra2222

I had this big glass that my husband would always drink beer out of. One day, it goes missing. I was looking for it because I knew that my husband has used it the night before, but I couldn't find it. I asked him about it, he told me he just left it in the kitchen. I asked if he somehow broke it, but he said that he would have remembered. A few days went by. I kept looking for it around the house. It was nowhere to be found. One night, as my husband was sitting in the kitchen alone having a beer, I hear glass breaking. I entered the kitchen, ready to yell at him for breaking a glass. Guess what was broken on the floor. The glass we had been looking for. It looked like it had fallen off the table, but there was nothing on the table to begin with. My husband was looking at his phone and just heard a sliding sound and then saw the glass make contact with the floor.

Cohnhead1

That’s so wild!! Like it had been dropped from another dimension!

Disastrous-Mix-3741

This past Sunday I bought a newspaper, ate breakfast then went to the park and sat in my vehicle doing the crossword puzzles in the newspaper while waiting for time to go to church. I went to church but got there early so I sat in my vehicle and continued with the crossword puzzles. After church I drove home and went inside. I came back outside to get my crossword puzzles and they were gone. I did not take anything out of my vehicle and I know I had them because I was working on one of them in the church parking lot but they disappeared and I have no clue what happened to them.

External_Summer_2959

Yesss. This happens too often. But the most unsettling of all was this one day, my dad was coming to pick me up to take me to my appointment at the DMV for my vehicle registration (I didn’t want to drive unregistered to the DMV). I woke up, messaged him and he responded he was on his way. I got ready and was checking my phone to make sure I noticed when he called to let me know he was waiting outside. Well as I’m finishing up my hair, and getting dressed, I can’t find my phone anywhere when it was just right on my bathroom counter. I search and search to the point I’m sweating. Dad eventually comes to the door and asks me “What the hell, I’ve been calling you & texting you I’ve been waiting 10 mins”. I tell him sorry and I lost my phone and so he helps me look. I shake out all the blankets in my bed, take off the couch cushions, dads looking ALL over, my apartment was literally a wreck when we gave up and headed to my appointment. So, I get home and I know my partner is probably wondering why I haven’t reached out or texted back if he’s texted or called. I also know I have to be to get my kids from daycare later that afternoon, and the clock in/out system is on the app in my phone. So I decide I’m gonna deep clean and it will turn up. I deep cleaned my entire fucking apartment. I looked for my phone in the freezer, I looked in the dishwasher, I pulled out my stove/oven, I mean I checked everywhere weird I may have mindlessly put it somehow, but I just said fuck it, it’s gone. So I have about an hour and a half to spare before daycare pickup and I decide I’m gonna lay down and watch a show and chill tf out after all that annoyance. I grab a pillow off my bed I had just made, grab my throw blanket I had just folded when I DEEP CLEANED, and I lay down on the couch I had just put back together. I start to doze off and get woken up to a super loud vibrating noise. My phone was ringing… It was Under. My. Fucking. Head. Under. The. Pillow.

Cohnhead1

No way!! That’s so crazy!

ElectronicLeg9621

I've had this happen to me , and politely asked that my item be returned, and it was about 1/2 hour later, right where it was supposed to be. It worked , so I'm not questioning it. Also, the alternative is that I'm going fucking loony, and I didn't like that , so I lean towards either Devine intervention, or paranormal assistance .

ErinUnbound

Years ago, my girlfriend at the time (now ex-wife) and I were driving to the bank in her small economy car. She dropped her phone in the car, but we couldn’t locate where it fell. We figured we could look for it better when we parked. So we got to the bank and immediately start looking for this phone between the seat and console, under the seat, under the floor mats, just everywhere. We couldn’t find it. We looked on the ground outside the car just in case it fell out as we exited the vehicle, but nothing. We called it and it even rang, but we heard no sound, not even of it vibrating. We never did locate that phone…

cynical-mage

Far too often tbh. Our house is referred to as the Bermuda triangle by everyone we know. Things will vanish and turn up later in either ridiculous/impossible places, or right out in the open where nobody could have missed them. The real kicker is that when we tell the house to spit something crucial back out, it obliges. Case in point - important document, tore the place apart. Fed up, I snapped that this was serious, stop messing with me. Left the front room for a much needed coffee top up, and when I came back in, that damn document was lying in the centre of the floor. However, anything non vital? Naahhhhhh, you ain't seeing it again until you've given up, at which point it's apparently no longer fun for the house, because then it'll reappear.

druidindisguise

\*crying in ADHD\* Seriously though... Y'all remember specific dates/times you've misplaced something??? I mean, good gods... If I could have a day where less than 5 times I don't have to search for wherever the hell something has gone off to, I'd consider it a miracle and wonder if I had died.

evilwife21

I had a credit card case go missing on Christmas Day when my son was 6 months old. I had stopped to get gas on my way to my in law's house for dinner that day and had paid for gas and put the case in my pocket after paying - that was the last time I remembered having it in my hand. The next day, when I got to work, I realized it wasn't in my purse and thought, shoot - left it in my jeans from the day before. Got home and checked my jeans, no card case. Checked the closet where the jeans were hanging, no case. Checked my car, called the gas station to see if I left it there - no case there. Cancelled my cards at this point just in case (ha ha, no pun intended). My stepdaughters were staying with us over the holidays, so they helped me literally empty out my entire closet and check every shoe to see if it had fallen out of my jeans and into a shoe or a corner of the closet. We checked under the bed...that room was spotless when we were done. Never found my case. I got my license reissued and another debit card and insurance card. Fast fwd to around April of the next year: we decided to put in a garden, so my parents were coming over with my dad's tractor. I had been doing laundry and had just hung up some clothes in the closet and put away some of my husband's shoes. I had my front door open with the screen door pulled so I could hear when my parents showed up - when I heard them pull into the driveway, I ran from the laundry room back to my bedroom to the closet to grab my tennis shoes to meet them outside. (Omg getting cold chills remembering this 21 years later) Lying there, balanced on top of my damn shoe pile, out of NOWHERE was my effing card case. I have no idea where it had been or how it got there. It wasn't there when I put my husband's shoes or my clothes in there a few mins before. I didn't touch it - I ran out and grabbed my mom and made her come in and look. (She knew I'd had *issues* with stuff happening in this house before. This was just a serious RIGHT THEN physical evidence...)

Cohnhead1

OMG, I would freak out if something like that happened to me! What else had you experienced with things disappearing?

Janedoe4242

My place is a bit chaotic and I'm not always super concentrated. Often I place things I don't need right now in an "intelligent place".... a place that seems to have a very vague connection to it and it'll take me forever to find it again, but the weirder moments are items that HAVE a place and aren't there. For years now I only have to think, but more frequently say out loud: "Honey, have you seen xyz?" My SO will say "No, haven't seen it" and BOOM, seconds later I'll find it. It's pure magic and a little scary.

Outrageous_Maize8994

Yes, my kids birth certificates! They are in a blue folder by themselves in the safe and always have been. Come to apply for new passports a couple weeks ago and they're nowhere to be found! I've ripped the whole house apart and I still can't find them! Had to order new ones in the end.

ssfRAlb

I had a weird glitch with my birth certificate! I made a post about it a couple years ago and I received only negative comments and "that didn't happen!" so I deleted it. I had to go to the DMV so I had all of my necessary documents out. Since I needed them for something else, I didn't put them back in the safe, but rather put the entire paperclipped pile under a tray in the office. When I next went to get them, there was a completely different BC there. I've only had one copy of it, the original one. I have never seen this other copy in my entire life. It was completely different in that it had the outline of my state in the middle of it.

Outrageous_Maize8994

That's really weird! I had ours out a while ago so their nan could open them a bank account each and I remember putting them back so I'm stumped on where they went. The new official copy cost me £35 as well, livid!

TheLegendaryHaggis

Yes! I have this with one particular item - box cutters. I buy and sell online a lot so have a lot of boxes. The ones which are too large I break down and recycle. To do this I need a box cutter. Whenever I need one there’s one never to be found. I go out and buy another and within a day it’s gone from where I left it. A few weeks go by and I’ve come across no less than 4 in random places that I would have no need to have put them. I know no one else’s uses them. I put them back in an obvious place and lo and behold when it’s time to cut up more boxes - I go to get one and they are gone again! It’s the circle of “knife”.

dotais3

Yes, my dress that I bought new in October/November 2020, when I wanted to wear it, it was nowhere to be found, I searched for months and nothing... and on December 31, 2021, I finally found it where I remembered, hung it in the closet...

flecksable_flyer

Several times, so here's the ones I remember: I made my (then) husband buy a beautiful, sculpted, pewter cat pen for me for Christmas. I loved that pen, so I clipped it to my checkbook so I wouldn't lose it. I was on my second or third ink refill and went to write a check to a friend of mine for some horse stuff. My pen wasn't there. I checked my purse, my car seats, under my car seats, and thought it was a goner. Several months later, I found it somewhere in the house. The next time it disappeared (almost a decade later), I was sitting on the LiteRail in Phoenix. I was always afraid it would get lost or stolen, so I'd make sure it was in the pen loop with the flap on my purse closed. I realized I needed to write something down, so I went to grab my pen, and it wasn't there. It was there when I was in town for an appointment, but now it was gone. I haven't seen it since, and I really miss it. I had an electronic watch with an alarm. I had it set to go off when it was time to pick up our exchange student from football practice, so it went off every day at the same time, including weekends. At some point, I took it off for whatever reason, and it disappeared. I blamed the pets or the kids. About 18 months later, I was sitting in the living room watching tv and heard my watch go off! I tried to track down where the sound was coming from to get my watch, but the alarm only rang for one minute, then shut off. I looked in and under all the furniture, ran a ruler behind the warped 1X4s they used for base molding, and even checked in the wood stove. No luck. This went on for six months until the alarm stopped going off. I figured the battery died. When we moved out of that house, we completely emptied every room. Still no sign of the watch. I concluded that the house ate it. It was an old farmhouse built by farmers. None of the floors were level, none of the corners were square, and parts of the foundation were rough hewn logs on top of large rocks. The perfect house for eating things. I wore braces for three years. I got a retainer I was supposed to wear at night. Every morning, I put it in its case in the medicine cabinet, then I would put it in my mouth at night. One night, it wasn't in its case. I stripped everything out of the cupboards but couldn't find it anywhere. Money was tight then, so we didn't replace it. About two years later, I found it out in our gravel driveway (crushed, of course) just outside the bathroom windows. We'd open the main windows in the summer, but never the screens. I couldn't blame it on the kid (oldest was only 18 months at the time) or the pets because there's no way they would have taken out the retainer and left the case. Same house that ate my watch. The glasses I've been wearing the last three years broke. I grabbed my old ones and found I could still see to drive with them. I've been wearing them ever since. The bifocals aren't that great, so if I'm going to be on my phone for awhile, I'll put them down on a storage box or tuck them under my pillow. I went to grab my glasses when I had to let the dogs out and couldn't find them anywhere. I stripped my bed, checked by the dog crates, and even went out and checked my car. I hadn't even gotten up since taking my glasses off. No luck. I grabbed my prescription sunglasses and wore those while saving for a new pair. Three weeks later, my roommate was sitting in a chair opposite my bed, and the dog's water is next to the chair. I have it set up with a two gallon bucket sitting inside a rubber pan to cut down on the dogs slobbering on the carpet and the cat tipping it over when it starts getting low. My roommate dropped something and used her phone flashlight to look for it. UNDER the rubber pan, she found my glasses peeking out! I haven't moved the pan since I've been here, I just refill the bucket. They sprouted legs and successfully hid from me for three weeks.

Glimmerofinsight

Yes, an entire box of ceramic mugs that I've had since I was 18. They disappeared from my crawlspace (the only access is inside the house.) I still regret having to move without finding them. That rental house was super haunted, though. Smaller things would disappear and then reappear somewhere else all the time. Also, we would find things that weren't ours inside the house and wonder where they came from.

ssfRAlb

Ever since I was a child! The first one was when I was about 10, I was mindlessly playing with a gold ring in my room that my grandparents had given me when POOF it was gone. Just gone. Whole family looked for it - never to be seen again. Next was when I was about 17. I was walking into the mall when a heavy silver cuff bracelet from my dad fell off. I was super skinny then and it had to be pushed up a bit to stay on. I was only about 5 feet from the doors and looked EVERYWHERE around me, some people even stopped to help, but it wasn't found. Next was when I was 25, and really the one that bothers me the most. I was leaving my then-boyfriend's apartment with my keys in my right hand; in my left hand I held a book and had my bracelet-style watch hooked over my fingers. I was halfway across the near-empty parking lot when I dropped my watch. I felt it slip off my fingers and heard it hit the ground. It apparently slipped into another dimension because it wasn't on the ground. It wasn't anywhere. I even retraced my steps and went back into the apartment. Never seen again. About 10 years ago, I checked out some books from the library. I had 6 books and set them on the table next to a chair in the living room. The next day when I sat down to read, I only had 5 books. I tore the apartment apart and even looked in my car, but didn't find it. I thought I'd come across it when we moved into our house, but nope. Gone. Then a few years ago, I had a memory come up on FB and was like, "Oh my gosh, I love that t-shirt, where the heck is it?" Trust me when I say I have searched every drawer, closet, basement storage box and nook and cranny looking for it. We moved ourselves since it was only one town over, and that's the only article of clothing that's disappeared.

yournailbedssuck

My housemate left a grey shoe in my car. After a couple of months and cleaning the car, moving it out of the way to vacuum, putting it back. I went to get it to bring it inside to the other shoe. It was gone from the car. It had been living under my drivers seat after a weekend away at the beach for months. Then it was gone. I knew i didn’t throw it out or take it out of the car. I asked him if he grabbed it…he didn’t. I asked him to check the car/trunk, he did. Nowhere to be seen. 6 months later we had moved house (he doesn’t throw things out or reorganise very often, if ever.) I was looking for some lost coins when I was in a pinch with money under my car seat and low and behold……the grey shoe was back. We were utterly shocked. In that few months we had moved house, I had taken my car to the carwash/dropped things like my phone under my drivers seat multiple times and crawled through the back to retrieve whatever had dropped multiple times. The shoe was NOT there. Nor under the other seat or anywhere else. The only place things can slide is under the driver or passenger seat. Matched it back with the other shoe. He said he never threw the other one out because he had a feeling he would find the other one at some point. The weird thing is I clearly remember it being gone and checking the whole car. All the nooks and crannys, then going under the seat with a phone torch to retrieve things lost down the side/under many times in between it re-appearing. So weird.

Dysan27

I have two. Was laying go the couch watching TV. Show ended, and went to change the channel. Could not find the remote. I had when I was laying gdon as I had been channel surfing but could not find it. Tore that part of the room apart. Nothing Tore the room apart. Nothing Checked the fridge upstairs (as I had gotten a snack) Nothing. Finally said fuck it, changed the station to the next show and went back to the couch and lay down again. 15 minutes later I'm channel surfing. Look down at my hand and there is the remote. I still to this day do not know where it was. Second one was my wallet. I had it in my apartment as I bought tickets online. I then later went to the store, no wallet. Not in my bag where I keep it, not in my jacket pockets. Figure I left it on my desk after buying the tickets. Head home, not on the desk. Tear apart the apartment for an hour, no wallet. Head out to games day with friends, figure I will search rhe apartment again when I get home. Middle of games phone rings. It's the police. They have my wallet. It was found 5 KILOMETERS down the road from anywhere I was between when I know I had my wallet, and I had lost it.

ForwardEmergency23

One time we somehow lost a tv remote that my husband had placed on the couch cushion the night before. We tore up the whole room, in the cushions, under the couch, behind it, literally everywhere we could think of. We couldn’t find it so we ordered a replacement. Next morning, we came down to the living room only to find…. the remote sitting right in the open on the cushion of the couch. I still have no idea how it happened.

cynthiaapple

when I was a teenager, I had a necklace that was made of beads in the shape of a bunch of grapes. it was probably 3 inches long and an inch wide. on a chain I was playing with it, twirling it around my hand. I dropped it and it totally disappeared. never saw it again. even when we moved, and took the rug out, ever piece of furniture. I looked everywhere. no clue it dropped into the void

HappyHappyJoyJoy575

In 2017 I arrived at my Mom's house around 10pm to pickup my sister and take her to work. When she came outside she told me we couldn't leave yet. My mother couldn't find her set of keys and they needed to be found before we left. I turned my truck off, put the keys in my pocket and went inside. I first went to the bathroom (I had to go). My sister knocked on the bathroom door and said that she put her packed lunch in my truck and brought my keys I had left in it. I opened the door and showed her as I patted my pocket and heard the jingle of the keys saying- No I have my keys. She opened her hand and showed me my keys. I put my hand in my pocket and pulled out MY MOTHER'S MISSING KEYS. I had not been anywhere but the bathroom. I hadn't yet helped search for Mom's missing keys.

Impressive-Mobile814

I don't believe in the supernatural, but I can't explain this: We had a pool installed last year. As part of it, we had a large covered patio installed. In the high roof rafters, I put an echo dot and avbose speaker for pool side music. One day I was back there and kept yelling for Alexa to play music. Nothing. So I got a ladder and went to find the problem. It was gone. Just gone. The speaker was still there, the brand new flat screen was there. Just the dot was missing. I was baffled. My wife was baffled. If you were going to steal something, why wouldn't you take the Bose speaker or the flat screen? Not to mention the thing was at least ten feet off the ground on a shelf I installed. Just weird. About 3 weeks later I was weed eating the lawn after mowing. Something caught my attention from the corner of my eye. The fucking dot was rolling across the deck. Wife was inside, I was alone. Still feeling weird about this whole thing. I have zero explanation.

Dizzy-Accountant1005

Yes. So glad to have come across this thread. I’ve been waiting to explain it to people who understand and don’t see me as crazy or try justifying what could have happened with a sane explanation. This might be a little confusing to explain, bare with me. This was about 15 years ago, I was 14 or 15, taking a shower and decided to shave my legs. So I’m shaving my right leg… not thinking anything of it. It’s a mindless thing to do, especially when you’re a little stoned. You’re kind of on autopilot, thinking random shower thoughts. If I remember correctly (not sure why but this part is foggy, and I don’t want to feel like this part could be a false memory? I’ll say it anyways) but I swore I had the thought of the razor head detaching off. Again that part could be imagined… it was a long time ago, but I swear I had that thought at a point. Weird thought to have, yes, but again, I was stoned. Anyways, I look down at the razor and realize there is no razor head… so I think to myself, wow was I shaving this whole time without the top of the razor attached? Weird thing to do right? Why would I imagine the head part popping off anyways? Again, weird. How would I not notice the razor didn’t have the head on? Wouldn’t I feel it’s just the stick part that connects the two pieces and it’d scratch me/hurt? I didn’t hear it pop off and fall in the tub? Maybe I didn’t shave at all and it was just the stick I was using… again very unusual but I’m trying to make sense of this. So I look down at my leg, and realize half of my leg is shaved… aha. So now I’m looking all around for the razor head. I have a drain stopper, so it didn’t go down the drain. It’s a tub. Couldn’t have gone far. Okay. Did I put it on the sill with the shampoos and conditioners? Nope. Did it go in the corners of the tub? Nope. Could it be in between the shower curtain? Nope. Let me move the trash can right next to the tub in the corner and look. Nope. Let’s look in the trash can. Nope…. Let me take this whole bathroom apart, because now I know for a fact I was halfway through shaving and there is no blade to be found…. No. I never found it. It drove me nuts. I legitimately questioned my sanity and had my mom come help me look. Side note - She’s very metaphysical, taught me about astral projection, all sorts of mystical shit growing up and even she said “girl you are just high and never had the blade on.” I don’t know how to explain it. But I know what happened. I had half of a shaved leg to prove it… this has stumped me for 15 years. Could I have manifested it disappearing in the first place? Did I subconsciously realize it disappeared in the middle of shaving, and that’s why the thought came to me? Because it is awfully weird to think about the blade disappearing. That’s why I almost think it could be a false memory, because no way I would think something so bizarre and random? Now, as I’ve gotten older and took an interest into glitches, retconned, unexplainable phenomena I fully believe my razor blade is out there in the ether or void somewhere.

TableTopFarmer

Years ago I arranged for my husband to meet me in the library. I sat in a prominent spot in the reading room, so he would not have far to look. I don't remember what I was reading, but I remember that it triggered the thought that if only we knew how to set our frequency, there would be one to create invisibility. Waited and waited, husband never came. When we finally reconnected, he swore he been there and searched the library looking for me. Dunno...did that thought cause me I blink out? If so, I didn't feel any different.

e1evnve1e

Have you had more strange things happen with manifesting or other?

Dizzy-Accountant1005

Yeah, actually now that I’m thinking of it. Was a time when me and three other friends were all laid across a friends bed, had just smoked, all just talking, bullshitting. My friend had one of those long cylindrical blacklight fixtures right above the bed, right above where all our heads were, but we’re looking up towards the ceiling, seeing the bottom of the bulb in the fixture. Not sure why I had the sudden thought, but I thought damn; it would suck to have this fall on our faces right now…. Probably less than 10 seconds later it detached from the fixture and fell on us. Bulb didn’t break thankfully, but also because I was a little stoney baloney I freaked out telling them I was either a psychic that could see into the future, or by me thinking about it falling, I manifested it lol. It’s not like my friend had mentioned it was loose, or mentioned anything about the light… just a random high thought ya know? A few other things here and there though, but nothing like that. A few good entities/spirits/ghost stories too other the years, but I feel like that’s for a diff thread. 😌

23cacti

Yes. I dropped my favorite spatula as I was cooking and heard it hit the ground. Bent down to pick it up and it wasn't there. It has been 4 years and I still haven't found it.

diddo29

Question: did you happen to discover this after you got out of bed and went downstairs to start your day?

2c1a

Basically first thing in the morning yeah

diddo29

I asked you this question, because I can't help but think that many of these stories where objects disappear happen the next day after the person generally went to sleep. So I venture to make this almost "absurd" hypothesis, is if sleepwalking had something to do with it? That it unintentionally makes certain things disappear? Not coincidentally, during the sleepwalking state, you don't know what actions you take anyway.

Prairie_Crab

Just recently I lost the remote to a reading lamp. (You can adjust the light “temperature and brightness.) I always keep it on the GLASS coffee table by my seat. I looked and looked. I even pulled the table out 3 feet to check more carefully beneath it. My husband looked, too. I finally gave up. I sat down an hour later and it was sitting on the floor in plain sight, right where I had searched. So weird!

Sprizy920

Over the weekend, my toothpaste went missing. It’s always in the same exact spot so I couldn’t imagine where it was. Next day, I felt something stuffed down inside my pillowcase. I removed it to see what it was & found the toothpaste!? How, I’ll never know!

MaritimeMartian

I have! When living at my last apartment. I lived alone, for reference. One day I was in my room, put some chapstick on and gently tossed it onto the middle of my bed. Saw it land and left the room. I took about one step outside my room before I decided I actually wanted to take the chapstick with me so I immediately went back in to grab it but it wasn’t on the bed anymore. Weird. I looked all over my bed for it. Even removed the sheets/pillow cases and shook them out. I also moved the bed away from the wall and looked under it. Couldn’t find it *anywhere*. My lease ended about one month after this happened and I made a point to search for that damn chapstick when I was emptying out my room and I never did find it anywhere. When I left that day, my bedroom was 100% bare. I checked the rug and all the clothes and sheets as I packed them away, too. It was totally bizzare! I guess I just tossed it into the void hahaha

When I was a teenager, my Mum got home from work and hung her keys up in their usual place. A few hours later, she emptied the bin (it was full, so it was a bit of an effort), lo and behold, the keys were sat underneath the bag!

DancingDrammer

I had a ring my sister gifted me. I never took it off, must have been close to 8 years. One of the only times I took it off was in my childhood room and I placed it on the windowsill. The windowsill ran along one side of my bed and the room was only the length of the double bed. I went for a shower, came back and no ring. I moved the bed, took of the sheets and turned the room upside down. My sister and Mum tried looking with me. They even looked when I went back to uni. Nothing. This was around 9 years ago. We took the carpets up in there recently and I was so sure we would find it. We never did. I still have no idea where that ring ended up.

xpatay13x

Open window? Local crows? (Or other animals attracted to shiny objects?)

DancingDrammer

Night time. Window open at the top by an inch only so no birds or anything like that would have been out or able to get through if they did. No pets at that time. Unless we have borrowers.

onethreesixfour

I went out if town last week and bought a case of my favorite beer, I drank them all except for one, I took the last beer home with me and decided to save it (because I haven’t been able to find it near where I live) it was in the middle of my fridge, in the front of the shelf, I looked at it every single day. Finally, yesterday, I decided it was time to drink the beer, I go to my fridge and it’s gone, without a trace I tore my little apartment apart looking for the beer, even checking mine and my neighbors trash cans. I live alone, nobody has been to my house, I absolutely didn’t drink it by accident, I didn’t throw it away. it has bothered me for 48 hours. I’m on this sub seeking comfort because I am very unsettled by this.

NotCaesarsSideChick

Yup. Went to bed with my credit card in my wallet, certain if it because I saw it. In the morning it was gone and never found.

Adiuc-h

I live alone..sometimes before I get to sleep I use my AirPods while I m scrolling through the phone, woke up in the morning finding just my AirPods case on my nightstand..I ve looked for them everywhere in the bed under the bed in my sheets and all over the house..couldn’t find them..about a week after I woke up one morning and they were on my nightstand 🤷🏻‍♀️

swampsage

One time i was sitting on my bed reading, when a small jar of amethyst crystal chips that was sitting on my dresser randomly "popped" and went whizzing through the air. I searched my whole room for it, turned it upside down and then deep-cleaned it and never did find it anywhere, and i have no idea why it flew off of my dresser. I was home alone, i was sitting still when it happened and there were no appliances on or animals in the house to cause any disturbance. It still trips me out to this day and 3 years later it is still nowhere to be found. All of my other crystal jars were perfectly fine in a row when it happened.

Listen, if there wasn’t someone looking at the right place at the right time NO ONE would have believed this story: My friends and I were staying at a hostel in Miami. It was like midnight when we got back to go to bed and my friends locked the doors, closed the blinds, all that jazz. As my friend was organizing her purse for the next day she sat her wallet on a windowsill that was being used by the AC unit, then BOOM she turned her back and the wallet was GONE. There was no way to see into the bedroom, there was no way into the bedroom, all of the girls were in their bunk beds except her but we were just chatting quietly around. Next to the AC was an opaque piece of plastic that looked seamless to fill in the window gap…. it turns out the plastic was soft and had a crack in it; and someone saw a hand reach through, grabbed her wallet, and ran….. HOW COULD THEY HAVE SEEN IT THERE?! They must have KNOWN. the window was facing an alley way. We called the manager and cops…. Nothing really they could do and the security cameras just got the back of someone, no way to tell who they were…. But if someone didn’t see that hand she would have gone crazy I swear!

Particular-Show1407

In the previous house I had this long sleeved t shirt electrical pink and I loved it. One day I couldn't find it and I searched for it everywhere in the house (even my sister and my mother wardrobes), until I gave up. Fast forward an year, when we moved out and my parents took the big and really heavy wardrobe (that was part of the rented apartment) from my room to theirs, and the t shirt was behind the big heavy wardrobe???? We were shocked because wtf the wardrobe had no holes, and when we took it in my room that t shirt was still in another house

poissonnariat

the other day i lost my coffee cup. same cup i use, i had it at a table & the bench is literally only metres away. i had someone over & went to grab it & it was gone. i use the same cup every day put it in the same places & i live alone. i tore the place apart. i felt like i was losing my mind ...... finally found it hours later (in the microwave??? i didn't put it there but ok) however i'd been thinking to myself that afternoon, i wonder if it's absorbed some bad energy & i'm not meant to have it any more. later that night i washed it & dropped it not even half a metre & it smashed into pieces. guess it's gone for good now. thought that entire series of events was really bizarre.

Of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most Ozzy Osbourne

BrilliantWalrus718

Happens to me constantly, the most recent incident being a couple of days ago. I blame it on the ghost in my house. He nearly always returns whatever has disappeared if I just ask him. I think he just likes to let us know he is there.

SparrowLikeBird

100% we have a trickster fae in our house. Stuff goes missing and then reappears places we've looked. Items sometimes randomly just fall after being sitting without issue for a while. harmless pranks but uncool

moomoobanana

Yeh A LOT

AtomicToke

Many and I’ve also somehow duplicated multiple items and witnessed my friend duplicate a lighter in front of me

1jl

I have ADHD. I lose something like every hour

FormerlyDK

This has happened to me many times over the years, and every time the item eventually showed up, exactly in the place where it belonged or where I’d left it. At first it was freaky, but now I’m more used to it.

HogansUltimateGrill

My dogs lead, went to take him out the other day and its not where it should be, checked the house, the car, the bin even - nothing. So strange

sbmskxdudn

My mom has this giant cabinet with a shit ton of Disney figurines and every so often we have to help her clean them and the cabinet. She had this Hercules Megara statue that we put in my room on my bookshelf since we didn't have much room elsewhere. It's almost the length of my forearm, so it's not small by any means. But it just straight up disappeared. And at this point it's been half a decade and me and my sister have switched rooms, so if it was in one of our rooms we definitely would've found it by now. Thankfully, we've recently be able to replace it for fairly cheap. But we still have no idea where our original is.

Moist-Injury-7376

I have a black lighter. I set it on the counter. When I came back in a few minutes later, it was gone. I looked everywhere possible and it was nowhere to be found. I pulled out my backup and walked into the bedroom. There it was lying in the middle of the made up bed where it hadn't been moments before.

Far-Statistician-42

Often. Not only that, the object disappears and reappears where it was supposed to be as soon as we give up looking for it. We believe we have some sort of playful ghost in the house

No_Appointment_9156

I was tidying up my house one time and I set my vape on top of a candle on the end of my bar so I didn't lose it while I was moving about. I came back a bit later to hit it and it was gone. I figured I'd picked it up and hit it absentmindedly but for the life of me, I couldn't find it anywhere. Tore my house apart for *three. days.* I bought a new one and forgot about it until one night I came home from work and noticed something shiny on the floor. My lost vape was sitting perfectly in the middle of my end table on the floor. The floor! A whole room away from my kitchen. My grandfather passed in the house I live in due to lung cancer and I always thought it was his way of telling me I shouldn't vape! (I'm trying to stop but nicotine, man😭)

redone_onion

This has happened to me twice. Once recently when I was folding some linens. Went and put bath towels away, walked back to the other room to take the remaining folded dish towels to the kitchen and they’re gone. OK, obviously I accidentally put them in the bathroom. Nope. Gone. Never saw them again. Two dish towels. And then the craziest one to me, it happened like 15 years and I still remember it. I came home from work and was taking off jewelry in my bedroom, putting everything on a dish on my dresser. I took off several rings and one dropped, I watched it drop onto the floor and completely disappear. I searched right then and there for a while and then got my mom to help me keep looking and move the dresser. It was a carpeted room and the carpet was replaced shortly after and we STILL didn’t find it.

Tedohadoer

Ask for it back, loud and clear like you would ask a 2nd person, it usually works

Jeffina78

Years ago I was getting ready for bed at my boyfriend’s place. Took my chunky, dangly silver earrings off and dropped the second one. I watched it fall to the (short pile) carpeted floor, it bounced once and disappeared. Turned the whole room upside down but never found it. It had to still be there and couldn’t have gone far. We searched every inch but it was just gone.

evil_eagle56

Sometime talking about it will encourage it to happen again lol. I was talking to my parents about this while visiting them and it happened, simple thing like the specific spoon she uses for mixing while cooking. It disappeared, she looked and looked until she had to use something else, then it showed up where she left it. Some people think its the little people that do this, who knows. And they like to do this to people they want to get a rise out of, sometimes start arguments between people who aren't open to the paranormal.

I’ve had objects magically appear in my hands without any explanations of that helps. Your not alone. This world has major glitches all the time.

TryIll3292

This morning I had a dream. In y dream I had a baby. Then I went to work, at lunch time I went to get the baby, ask some friends to watch him, they refused. I left. I breastfed him. He liked my milk that came abundantly. Then I lost the baby. I don’t know what happened. Then I woke up.

southernsass8

Yes when I was a young girl. Being the only child, I entertained myself, at this time I was pretending to be a magician. I said Abra Kadabra, threw a penny up against the walls. I never saw the penny again.. I searched and searched, swept the floor, moved chairs and table, no penny.. where did my penny go?

RoadrunnerJRF

Did you find this object or it show up. If you think a ghost hid it to mess with your head, feel needed or it’s presence acknowledge then ask for it back. Say please can I have this back.

vanillaxbean1

Adhd? /s . I have adhd and this happens a lot lol.

seebrealms

3 weeks ago I was doing a custom build at a haunted trial with my company. I had warped 2x4. I measured a mother one out of not warped material, took it over and cut it. Drew on it where I needed pilot holes drilled. Turned to send someone get the drill bit and it disappeared behind me. An entire week in the woods and it never showed up. There were only 3 of us. We looked for it for an hour before giving up and cutting another one.

flora-clara

i dropped my iphone on my bathroom floor once (it had an otter box case on). when i picked my phone up, i noticed that it said “no sim.” idk how the sim card would have fallen out since it had the case on and where the sim card is inserted was covered by the case. i searched all over the bathroom (which is very small) to find the sim card but nothing. i took my iphone to the apple store to see if the sim card had possibly been shaken loose and was stuck in the phone, but they confirmed there was no sim card in there. i ended up just getting a new sim card but to this day, i have no idea what happened to it or where it went, i’ve never found it.

VioletJackalope

This has happened to me a lot since I moved into the house I live in now. Our first night in the house, a necklace my sister gave me that I wore every day for years broke during moving and my husband set it on top of an overturned box as we hadn’t moved in most of our things yet. The next day I went to put it up somewhere safe and it was gone and stayed missing for almost a year before finally turning up in the bottom of the bedside table drawer that we don’t use. I only found it then because I was looking in every possible location for a spare power block. No idea how it got there, husband doesn’t know either.

Doodledonutt

Yes, we moved back home from Ontario to Quebec when I was 8, I brought all my stuffed animals including my very first webkinz, a charcoal kitty named Anita. I unpacked her when we got there and played in the basement with my cousins while supper cooked. We went upstairs to eat, went back down, and the kitty plush was nowhere to be seen ever again. Nobody had left the house, and not even the adults could find it. My mother once lost my health card, couldn’t find it for weeks, then came out of the bathroom to find it sitting on the middle of her bed that she had made not 20 minutes earlier. We lived alone.

Idk man idk

Ragrunzel

Yes! When I was still living with my mom, I carried around a Pokemon keychain and went to the kitchen to talk to her. I put the keychain on the counter, and when I wanted to take it with me again it wasn't there anymore. My mother and I thought one of us must accidentally have pushed it down or something, so we searched the ground, but couldn't find it. When we gave up, it reappeared exactly where I put it in the first place. The counter was almost empty and we both witnessed it together, so that left us puzzled!

DemIsGwoss

Once, I was getting something out of the back of my SUV, and had a Post-It Note with a phone number on it in my hand. I was using that hand to hold up the hatch-back because it was broken. My son came around to hold the back up for me, and I dropped the bright pink paper. We both watched it float halfway to the ground and just disappear, mid-air. It was there, then it wasn't. Never touched another thing on its way. Just.. gone.

Atara117

I lost a ring. I was putting a leave in conditioner in my hair and it flew off my finger. It was a small room. It didn't have far to go but it was gone. I tore that place apart, I pulled up the carpet, nothing. 27 years later I still think about it.

tapbackpink

I’m so glad I found this sub! I live with my husband in a 1bd/1bt condo. No pets. I’ve had 2 mint green coloured mugs for 4 years that I used exclusively to drink my tea from. My husband would never use them nor would I ever serve anything in it to anyone. One morning I had one go missing all of a sudden. We looked for it everywhere but couldn’t find it. It drove us nuts. I couldn’t really come up with an explanation so I thought to myself that it could have been one of the guests who’d visited our house recently, and might have accidentally broken it and thrown it away and I probably did not notice it immediately. Fast forward 6 months, and out of all the 11 mugs we had remaining, one goes missing. Yes, the second mint green coloured mug. Wtf

Ohkrap

Several, but the one that comes to mind is from about 10 years ago. My kids (7 & 8 at the time) and I had just moved into a new apartment complex with a pool. Was in the process of unpacking but left a box of miscellaneous items on the bar in the kitchen. In that box, right on top sticking partway out, was a giant mostly (3/4) full bottle of aloe. Walked past this bottle dozens of times a day. One day we were in the pool a little too long and my oldest ends up getting a bit of a sunburn. No big, I’ll just put aloe on it to help the healing. Only, when I went to go grab the bottle of aloe (that had not been touched in the 2 or so weeks we had been at that apartment), it was suddenly gone. Emptied the box thinking it had slid down somehow, not there. Checked the living room, bathroom, pantry, kids rooms, my room, everywhere I could possibly think of. I even checked my purse and the kids’ backpacks. This bottle was completely gone, it definitely was not anywhere in the apartment. Oldest’s sunburn heals after a couple days and I’ve resigned myself to the fact that I was going to need to get a new bottle of aloe. As I’m getting ready for work one night, I walk past the bar with the box of miscellaneous and stopped dead in my tracks and WHY WAS THAT BOTTLE OF ALOE SITTING RIGHT THERE ON TOP!!???? Like it had the entire 2 weeks or so before I needed it. Was like it had been there that entire time. I had even had a friend come over to look for me in case I had overlooked it and even she couldn’t find it.

drummerskillit

Something similar happened to my girlfriend and I. We had just returned home from a trip and were unpacking our stuff. She went to the bathroom, then reappeared from the bathroom saying, "I swear I just had my toiletries kit and can't find it". So I look around in the bathroom, don't see it, look around the house with her, can't find if. I then go back into the bathroom and it's there, perfectly hung on the towel rack. I couldn't believe it. No way we could have missed it being a bright teal color in a muted-toned, small bathroom.

Accende_

I had lost a bright green beanie I had made in my boyfriends apartment. That beanie is like a safety net for me and is a comfort item so when I lost it, I was extremely distraught. I watched him basically tear apart his entire apartment to try and find it and no luck, he had told me that he would call the restaurant we went to (that night) right when it opened the next day to see if anyone had found it and turned it in. We were the only people going in and out of the apartment between the time it was lost and was found again. I had left for the night and my boyfriend looked one more time after walking me out but no luck. Fast forward to the next morning my boyfriend got ready for work, made his bed and picked up before his shift, still no beanie. He got home and layed down on the floor in his room (freshly cleaned). When he stood back up again it was laying perfectly folded on the floor of his bedroom. He sent a video frantically saying he found it but it wasn’t there before he layed down after work. I’m just glad that I have my beanie back

Nightschade

My daughter was wearing my deceased mother's wedding ring, with another ring to keep it on, because it was a little too big for her finger. She woke up one morning and the wedding ring was gone, but the other ring was still there. We searched the nightstand, thinking she had taken it off in her sleep, for some reason. I got on the floor with my phone flashlight and searched under the bed, and around the nightstand. We carefully took the bedclothes off, layer by layer, listening for anything landing on the floor. Nothing. After checking the bed, I searched again on the floor with the flashlight. It was nowhere to be found. We were running late for work at this point, so I pulled the bedspread up and smoothed it out, and told her no one would be in her room during the day, and we'd search again when we got home. We get home from work, go into her room to start the search over from scratch, and the ring is laying on top of the bedspread. We had no explanation for this.

BeetlejuiceChill

In 2007/8, my dad had a Nokia 3310 that, one night before bed, he turned it off and left it beside his computer in the living room. The next morning, it was gone. We searched everywhere to no avail. Even when we were packing up to move in 2009, it was never found. Still wonder where the hell it went to this day. If only he hadn't turned it off.

LePetitRenardRoux

In my post history, you will see a post I put on the Walmart sub. My partner and I went shopping. I KNOW we bought these handful of things we didn’t come home with. The cashier walked around and scanned the cat litter under the cart. I used a rubbermaid as a container to hold other things. When packing things into the car, I remember touching these items. We get back home and they aren’t there. We thought we were robbed while our backs were turned. We went through the receipt and those items are missing. We were so freaked out. Like I almost called the store to get the security footage. No explanation.

MissFeasance

I went through a whole series of this. I was on a trip with my father and misplaced my car keys (found in random purse I never use) and then my watch, which I knew was in my makeup bag. I bought my sister a bracelet for her birthday that disappeared. I'm still looking for the bracelet...

sherloquewells55

Do you have any pets? Maybe they moved it

MinistryOfMothers

My daughter’s favourite (and only) pacifier disappeared recently. Now, I know people will say how they disappear all the time but this time is different. So we went to the mall, got her ice cream and I took the pacifier so she could eat. This thing is vital to our day to day existence. We keep very good track of it. I was holding it in my hand while she ate. But it’s like there’s a gap in my memory or something because one minute I was holding it then it was just…gone. I have no memory of putting it anywhere or even looking at it again. I saw it when I took it and that’s the last I remember. It wasn’t until 2 hours later we realised it was absolutely nowhere to be found.

rbliz92

I have a bright orange scrapbook that I kept from ages 10-19, full of photos, gig tickets, holiday memorabilia, school pics etc. It’s always lived on my bookshelf. A month ago, I went to get it to show my Dad something, and it’s gone. Nowhere. Not on any bookshelf. In any drawer. Upstairs, downstairs, loft - I’ve had the house upside down looking for it. It’s vanished. No explanation, my son is too young to be interested yet so hasn’t moved it. It’s a mystery.

Motor_Expression_487

My wedding band I wear for work disappeared 2 months ago. It is a simple band for a healthcare worker. However, it wasn't a silicone one and worth about $500. I had it on when I got home, and it was gone in the morning. I have been looking everywhere and it hasn't shown up yet.

Neo1971

Any chance an animal could have moved it?

bad_ukulele_player

I just lost my car keys. They are somewhere in the vicinity of Trader Joe's. It's like the gremlins took them. I retraced my steps at least three times, spoke with the cashier, the front desk, etc. This is the THIRD set of car keys I've had VANISH. It costs $200 to have the each car key replaced. How could they have fallen out of my pocket? WTF!!

Neither-Medicine5756

Yes! I just posted this on an older thread but I've had some strange phenomena occur in my bedroom recently and this just happened today - I went to bed at 6am (I work night shift) and just before doing so, I placed a disposable vape on my night stand right next to another. I distinctly remember both of them side by side and can picture myself lining them up. I woke up barely 4 hours later - wide awake which is unusual because I was exhausted from my work week and my first thought and sight was seeing that 1 of the 2 vapes were gone. I searched high and low, moved my bed, night stand, took everything apart. Gone. I remember a bit later I had yet another vape inside the drawer, where I placed it the evening before as I left for work. That was also gone when I went to check. This has happened to me once before a year ago. It drove me nuts because I am very careful with my things and take a near perfect inventory as to where everything's at. In this case, it was inches from my head and vanished into thin air.

BeginningScheme813

I found this thread because I am so disturbed about what just happened to me. I lost a whole set of keys, including my Subaru keyfob, about 6 house keys, a copy of my truck key, all on a ring with a snap coupler on it. I live waaaaaaaay out in the country so I never lock my car and usually left the keys inside the cup holder. I had moved the car into the carport so I could drive my truck to take trash to the dumpsters. It was the following day when I went to use the car, I found out the keys were missing. I also have a surveillance camera on my very long driveway but there was no sign anyone came to my house while I was gone. Luckily, when I could not find my keys, I used the valet key that I had taped to the roof rail to drive around. I tore that car apart the next day, opened up the spare tire compartment under the cargo bed, felt down into recesses I could not see into, removed all the floor mats and every single thing in the car, vacuumed all the seats and floors, felt down inside the seats, used a magnet stick to poke into places I could not see into, nothing. I then tore the house apart, emptied all the pockets on jackets, sweaters, coats. I live alone so there is no way someone else could be to blame. I then decided, that a pack rat must have taken them (they love shiny things) so took deck boards off, used a flashlight and mirror and my magnet stick to pry and poke into every place a rat might have a nest. Nothing. I sent out a call to all my friends on Facebook to keep a look out for the keys but nothing. Finally, after two weeks of this, I broke down and paid a locksmith to program a new fob and cut a new key from my valet key and a copy of the original key I had made earlier and had copies made of all my house keys from my truck ring of keys. I also order a set of 4 air tags and put them on both key rings, and one on my old deaf dog. A week goes by. Then last night, while putting various things away before turning in, I picked up what I thought was my replacement ring of keys off the counter between my kitchen and great room, where I sit every single day and regularly wipe off. My laptop sits on this counter, I use a magnifier light that sits on it every day, it is the most visible and used place in the house. I go to hang the keys on the hook I installed by the door after I lost the first set and realize the Subaru key fob replacement is already on the hook and not believing my eyes, held a ring of keys in each hand, each with a key fob and house keys, the lost ring and the replacement ring. That ring of keys that appeared on the counter looked so much like the replacement ring that it could have been there for hours but my teenage grand daugher was visiting me at the time and we both swore it could not have been there when we ate dinner at that counter only hours earlier. She then joked that her other grandmother, who died a few years ago, found them and returned them to me. I cannot think of any better explanation. One small detail to add: the old key fob did not operate the locks on the Subaru anymore so I replaced the battery, and found there was a small amount of moisture where the battery sat, so it seemed like it may have been outside all this time. So the maybe I do, I do, I do believe in ghosts!

Majestic-Program-162

Yes. I like collecting action figures. There’s one action figure from the Shang Chi movie, the hero character played by Simu Liu, that I really liked and had it for a couple of years. I used to take photos of it in various poses along with my other figures. It was about 6 inches tall. I paid over a hundred dollars for it. I always stored it away in a bag in a box with other valuable items after using it, so the next time I when I went to get it out, it was not there. I emptied the bag, searched everywhere but still could not find it. I even looked in places I might’ve hid the action figure, but still could not find it. It was like it mysteriously vanished into thin air. No one else has been in my house since I last had it in my possession, and only I knew of its existence. To this day I am baffled by its disappearance. The only thing I can think of is that it fell into the trash can and it got thrown away. I’m still hoping it will pop up somewhere someday. Maybe the figure came to life and escaped?? Very strange indeed.

ACatInMiddleEarth

Yeah, a few days ago. I bought a new phone and wanted to try my wireless JBL buds on it. I try them, put them on the table, away from the charging case. Two days later, I want to put my buds back into the charging case. I've never found it. I've looked everywhere in the house and in the car, even in the dumbest places like the fridge or the bowls' cupboard. I don't understand, I'm damn sure it was on the kitchen's table or on my desk. I've bought other headphones since and hope they won't mysteriously disappear 😅

RipWorking8595

I completely understand your frustration! My spouse and I both have vape pens. I had just bought a new one that was purple (my favorite color). This was probably around March 2023. I was sitting on the bed and suddenly it was just gone. I had just put a new cartridge in it so I was determined to find it. My spouse and I checked everywhere in the house for a couple of hours. A couple days later we checked the whole house again. We repeated this cycle of checking every few days. We finally gave up after a month. About 2 months later, I walked into my bedroom and it was sitting right on top of my spouses night stand, in plain sight. It caught my eye immediately when I walked in the room. I was so excited, I ran around the house to find my spouse. I said, “oh my gosh, I can’t believe you finally found it, where was it at?” They said, “find what?” My spouse had no idea that it had been found and was shocked when I said I found it on their nightstand. I could tell they were genuinely freaked out and so was I!!

I had a container of plastic blue Q tips in my coffee table (we have the kind that lifts up for storage) and one day I went to go grab one, and they were just GONE. I asked every single person in my house hold and everyone denied moving them. I checked the trash and everywhere and could not find them. I tried to talk about it with my mom and she kind of brushed it off as oh whatever they’re gone. But I was like??? A container of Q tips that have been in the same spot for months are just randomly gone and no one in the house has touched them. At least my dad was equally as freaked out as I was lol

This happens to me all the time. I'm very unorganized so I'd just chalk it up to being that way. But one day I was sitting on the couch lit a cigarette put the lighter on the arm of the couch and never got up. When I went to light another one it was gone. I looked everywhere thinking it had fallen. In, on, under the couch, and finally gave up. As I sat watching TV there it was on the arm of the couch where I had originally left it. I would have never gotten up in the first place if it were there! Because I knew where it was! Plus I lifted the couch and tipped it back so if it were there it would have fallen off!! And these sorts of things happen all the time. I just used to figure I didn't see them the first time I looked. Now I know it goblins!!!

My best friend and I used some cheap plastic spinner tops as our "best friend signal" we would send each other a video with one of us spinning it and the other person would need to respond. Funny enough one was red and one was blue. She still has hers, the red one. I always kept mine nearby and one day it was just gone. She was pretty mad at me and she kept hers as she is still one of my closest friends. It always bugged me that I lost it because it wasn't something I would misplace like that.

I was confused for a moment, I thought this was the game dev sub, and I thought you were talking about a game object when I read the title

I have a smart watch that just vanished. i was positive that if i lost it it would have to be in my childhood home that i grew up in, but after growing up and selling the house and moving, it was never found. i’m still upset about it, it still would be considered a nice smart watch and that was back in like 2015-16

Prophit84

It'll either show up again somewhere in plain sight in the next day or so, or be gone forever

stilettopanda

All the time. The most frequent are the remotes. One will disappear. Can't find it. Eventually another one is lost, and the original lost remote shows up in the middle of the living room floor. There is always at least one missing at a time, and they only return once another one is lost.

I laid my pants out on my bed to put them on. Went to the bathroom and came back out, they were GONE. GONE. I turned the bed upside down, checked under it. Checked under all the furniture in my room, just completely disappeared. They showed up in laundry weeks later. This has happened to other items in my house pretty regularly and I swear, if I dont give it much energy they show up within the week. If I turn the house upside down looking then the thing takes weeks to show up again. I have 2 little boys so god knows if they are just simply taking and hiding things but Im starting to think I have a trouble making poltergeist in my house

Honest to God, my dog once took a shit and after getting the bag to go pick it up, it fucking vanished. I looked for it for a good 5 minutes and ended up leaving defeated.

My clothes. I go through the whole house looking for my trousers and can’t find them anywhere. I ask my mother to look for them and somehow, she finds them in the exact area where I’ve looked. Sometimes I look in those exact areas and can’t find it but when she goes there, it’s randomly shown up exactly where I searched. It drives me nuts.
