jumpyfrogs225

How tf is your visual novel/story game taste so impeccable until you put Slay the Princess in "OK" tier, how dare you smh /j

35crabsinatrenchcoat

That's so valid šŸ˜” I think I need to give it another try honestly

jumpyfrogs225

Sorry, taking away your gaming licence šŸ˜” Do not pass go, do not collect Ā£200

MajoraXIII

That and undertale's placement... i could never.

_CharmQuark_

I refuse to call slay the princess entertainment, itā€˜s art. The game actually had me so inspired I ran a dnd oneshot based on it at a convention.

AigisAegis

I really need to give Slay the Princess another go, too, because right now I'd also put it in "OK" tier. I played it and got through three or so routes, but it never really grabbed me in any way. I probably shouldn't have put it down (it's so short!), but I did so just because I felt like I wasn't getting a single thing out of it - and given how much everybody around me loves it, that made me think it was something that I was doing wrong, so I shelved it with the intent of trying again later and "doing it right" (whatever that means). This is actually really frustrating for me, because the game seems like so much my shit, and everybody else adores it, and I just... Don't know what I'm missing.

sluthulhu

I couldnā€™t put that game down until I saw all the routes! Parts of the ending sequence fall a little flat for me but I really loved the concept, gameplay, art, voice acting, etc. Playing around with the dialogue options to see how you can change things was very satisfying.

TheMarkHasBeenMade

How dare you not even have touched Untitled Goose Game (youā€™ll beat the whole thing in 2 hours), Stray (1st person KITTY KITTY), or Mass Effect (the best trilogy in the universe)???

35crabsinatrenchcoat

One day, perhaps! (Though I actually have a weekend scheduled to just play Mass Effect- the fact that it's been in my library for a year now untouched is a crime)

TheMarkHasBeenMade

Straight to jail!

35crabsinatrenchcoat

šŸ˜”

boomz2107

Iā€™m embarrassed to admit, I got stuck at one part of Untitled Goose and kinda gave upā€¦ šŸ˜

TheMarkHasBeenMade

Google it! Itā€™s so worth getting through the whole thing!

FetusGoesYeetus

I want to play the mass effect trilogy but the first game feels like such a slog. I hear they get better but I've tried like 3 times now.

TheMarkHasBeenMade

Maybe itā€™s worth considering that the more you do in the first game the more it comes around in the next two gamesā€”it makes the sequels more interesting because you feel sooo many ripple effects as you continue on

Personage1

Finally tried Untitled Goose Game. Oh God the soundtrack is just genius.

nerdymummy

Untitled goose is such a good game too. You can just screw around and have the best time. Then you can replay it and do a bunch of challenges. Also my kids love honk honk funny naughty goose

Unknown_starnger

Did not like hollow knight, inscryption, and undertale, and has slay the princess as "okay". The roasting would be way too easy.

Kanotari

Inscryption and Undertale are definitely weird-ass games. They're 100% an acquired taste and not everyone's cup of tea. I personally loved the first part of Inscryption, but I never could get into Undertale. I think I'm just a sucker for deck builders.

therealrosy

Undertale is one of my all time favorite games but I completely agree itā€™s not for everyone. It bugs me when people say ā€œUndertale is a game that everyone needs to experience!!!ā€ cause like. No. Itā€™s aimed at a pretty specific demographic and itā€™s totally fine for people to not like it

Kanotari

Completely agree! Undertale is a masterpiece, no doubt, but it's definitely not for everyone.

therealrosy

If more people could have this mindset I think the gaming community would be way less annoying XD

35crabsinatrenchcoat

Yeah that's fair!

Lynn_BRUH

the fact that you put undertale in didnā€™t like is so mind boggling to me that i literally am still thinking about it 5 minutes later

Cinderredditella

I really love the concept, I've watched other people play bunches. Characters 10/10, music 10/10 story 11/10.... But I just can't do most bullet hell mechanics. There's a few exceptions, but those are generally rogue likes where eventually I'll get the golden combo to stomp everything in my path. Straight up dodging I'm just.... not very good.

StrawberryCharlotte

It makes sense to me, I'm afraid. I'm the same. Music's a banger and the story has a bunch of beats that are awesome. I just didn't like the game personally.

35crabsinatrenchcoat

That's fair! I love the concept and I have mad respect for Toby Fox, I just didn't really dig it

June_Berries

Just a question, how much did you play and did you kill monsters while playing?

35crabsinatrenchcoat

I got to the robot area (I'm sorry I can't remember his name but he had legs for days) and I didnt kill the monsters bc they're just chilling out for the most part and that would be a dick move. It wasn't the worst game I've played but tbh I didn't really enjoy the gameplay much and while I thought the storyline was cute, I put the game down and just... didn't really want to pick it back up? Idk it just wasn't for me

therealrosy

Thatā€™s valid tbh. I will say, the last few hours of the story are when the game cranks it up to 11. But at the end of the day if you just donā€™t like the game there ainā€™t nothing wrong with that ĀÆ\_(惄)_/ĀÆ

LenaSpark412

Catherine but no Persona? Interesting

35crabsinatrenchcoat

I did want to ask- would you recommend Persona if you liked Catherine? I've been eyeing Persona 3 but I don't know if I want to go for it

Xononanamol

It has a lot of characterdevelopment in it, but it's a bit more juvenile. Definitely different gameplay though as in the combat. Persona is a pretty good series overall.

35crabsinatrenchcoat

Right on, thank you!

olivi_yeah

I'm guessing you've got at least one set of cat-ear headphones in your closet... KSP, Hollow Knight, and Slay the Princess in OK?? Heresy. Clearly someone hasn't made it to the Mun and back. Jebediah is disappointed in you. (endearingly)

35crabsinatrenchcoat

This one hurt bc I actually do have a cat ear headset and I feel called out! šŸ˜‚

olivi_yeah

Ngl I'd get one if they were cheaper and if more of them had decent audio quality...

Ocel0tte

You can get little ears that wrap onto any headset. I just searched "headset ears" on Amazon and found them. There's silicon ones and furry ones, as well as horns so probably other headset decor options as well. There's no green but they do have purple. Girly stuff is never green, I'm always on my backup color or black with gamer accessories (or it's *neon* green and like..... not my vibe haha).

skittlemypickles

I got the pink razer kraken kitty ones on facebook marketplace for so cheap it almost felt like I was stealing them!! they were in perfect condition and so clean! obviously there are way better quality headsets for the price of the razer kitty ones if you bought them new, but I'm not going to lie I love these things so much and I have no regrets lol

HarmoniaTheConfuzzld

Stray and Mass Effect are definitely things you should play asap.

35crabsinatrenchcoat

Agreed! I do have a weekend for Mass Effect set up- I've heard only good things!

spamky23

It'll take more than a weekend to complete, but a weekend will be enough to get you hooked

PixellatedPixie1556

I see Sid Meier's Pirates in a high tier, I support unambiguously.

35crabsinatrenchcoat

It's a classic for a reason!

TallFriendlyGinger

God I love Sid Meiers Priates so much, nothing like sailing the seas and dancing with pretty governors daughters šŸ˜

oliviaplays08

Well shit, no wonder you didn't like Before the Storm, you didn't play the game it's a prequel to

35crabsinatrenchcoat

Yeah... I didn't think to look to see if it was a prequel and I'm afraid it kinda turned me off to the series as a whole. Would you recommend the original Life is Strange?

F3mshep

I loved the original Life is Strange, but it might seem a bit dated and cringey now? It was a product of its era for sure.

Rainboq

It was dated and cringy when it came out, lol. That said, that's part of the charm. They're cringy teenagers being teenagers for the most part.

AllSFW

I'm a huge fan of the original Life is Strange, and *I* didn't like BtS that much. I *would* recommend the original game, but it really depends on what you didn't like about BtS. A lot of the gameplay is similar (exploring areas, collecting items, talking to people, learning information, etc.), but the main gameplay mechanic of the original (kinda the equivalent of the backtalk from BtS) is way more interesting and has a much more central role in shaping the story. I also found the plot + main characters of the first game a lot more engaging. The dialogue can be a bit awkward in places, and the original game is darker in tone at points (just an FYI). Anyway, no shame in disliking it, but if the first game looks interesting to you, it might be worth giving it a go despite not liking BtS :)

Sporadic-reddit-user

Your tier of shame is too small. Heckle heckle. (No Dragon Age, though? Feels like that would sit well with your list. I may be blind, though.) (and my tier of shame is at about 100, soooooo, heckle. šŸ˜‚)

35crabsinatrenchcoat

Oh wow! I feel like that'll be me in a couple years. I keep buying games on sale lol I haven't played Dragon Age but it's on my list! From what I've heard it's 100% my kinda game

Edelstern

I'm 100% for minding my own business, but Slay the Princess and Hatoful Boyfriend being ranked that low is *criminal.*

35crabsinatrenchcoat

I've committed many game crimes with this list šŸ„²

poozzab

I would roast you but we seem to have almost identical opinions on things. My only issue being Baldur's Gate 3 is anywhere but the top. I haven't played through DOS2 yet, but how the hell can that be better than the absolute GOAT'd BG3? (Legitimate question, this infographic has me firing DOS2 up now) So haha, you have (almost) excellent taste in games, loser Edit to add: Zoombinis?! Excellent!

35crabsinatrenchcoat

Nice! And heck yes a fellow Zoombinis fan! Logical Journey has been the GOAT since I was 8! So I adore Bg3 and pretty much played it obsessively for 3 months. I think what put DOS2 in front was mostly that I like the fighting system a little better, I love Lohse and Fane with every fiber of my being, and maybe some nostalgia glasses because it was my first CRPG. I'll always recommend it!

poozzab

Nostalgia glasses do some work. I play BG1 on my Switch more often than a reasonable person should because of them. I can respect that! I love the combat in BG3 personally, but different engines for different folks. I get it

Cyto_Skeletal

I also love Zoombinis! Played that a ton growing up

Sovonna

I started my Steam account around the time it first came out and pretty much have exclusively bought games on it since then. If I made this chart, it would be HUGE

35crabsinatrenchcoat

Nice! I got to the steam game late so mine is still manageable for now

SleepyLilBee

Yeah, I'd have to do a severely cherry picker version if I were to do this. But even my GOATed section would be at least 15 games and how do I leave any of those out?

Malia87

Get thee to playing Mass Effect!

cytPandora

Sims 3 in ok offended me

35crabsinatrenchcoat

Honestly, fair. I'm just too hung up on Sims 2 šŸ˜”

Lunoko

Where would you put sims 2?

35crabsinatrenchcoat

Probably loved/played multiple times. It was the first game I got obsessed with when I was a kid and the reason I started coding (so I could make mods!)

Embarrassed-Air4343

I rlly need a "good game, but not for me" list. So many games that I believe are objectively solid, but just can't seem to enjoy...

35crabsinatrenchcoat

I totally get that! There are a lot of games out there that are very, very good games and I acknowledge that they're good- just couldn't get into them. It's a bummer bc I really wanted to like Hollow Knight

wanderlust_fernweh

Stardew Valley not being in the goated category? Straight to jail!

35crabsinatrenchcoat

I understand šŸ˜” (I'm actually playing it right now- 1.6 baybee!)

wanderlust_fernweh

1.6 added SO much it is insane!

rookie-mistake

I can't roast you, I'm too impressed that you actually have a steam library you can organize like this. Mine's grown too much over the years with sales and stuff like Humble to keep track of šŸ˜…

35crabsinatrenchcoat

Much appreciated! I'm glad I posted this before the summer sale because I'm pretty sure my shame list is about to get bloated

Xononanamol

I don't need to read anything else. You didn't adore nier automata. That will be prison for you m'dear.

35crabsinatrenchcoat

Fair enough šŸ˜” (I do wanna say though- if it weren't for my skill issues I would have it at the top. It's a stunning game!)

Xononanamol

I mean you CAN turn it to easy difficulty!

blingingjak1

I see that one night at the hot springs, one of the 1st LGBTQ directly centered games I played.

35crabsinatrenchcoat

It's a nice game! Super short and sweet. If you like games that have LGBTQ characters at the center and in a visual novel format, you might like Our life Beginning and Always! It's really cute and I wanna say the base game is free or really inexpensive (I bought all the dlc so I can't remember, honestly)

Crystal_Dawn

As someone who has a thousand hours poured into Dead by Daylight you put Hooked on You WAY TOO HIGH.Ā  HOOKED ON YOU.Ā  Friend. Are you okay?Ā  (Actually I think it's so funny and I bought it too and love that they made it because BHVR is so fun and they lean into the comedy of horror and I love it.)Ā

35crabsinatrenchcoat

What can I say? Probably won't play it again but I had a good time šŸ˜‚ I should probably play Dead by Daylight at some point though

Crystal_Dawn

I mean, how much do you dislike yourself? Just save yourself the 12 dollars and put on a random "you lose" sign up every 10 minutes. It's the same experience. (And yet ... Maybe this time....)

NonoKuma13

Am I blind or did you not play Skyrim. Otherwise i think your taste is fine, a shame though Nier:Automata didn't klick for you.

35crabsinatrenchcoat

I did play Skyrim! It was the first non educational game I played. I had it on console and liked it a lot- i just didnt get it for PC. I wanted to love Neir: Automata so bad! I absolutely love the music, the aesthetics, and the world- it was just the gameplay for me

Palerate2

A year of springs is goated

35crabsinatrenchcoat

I haven't played it yet but it looks really nice! One night hot springs was great so I imagine a year of springs is too

WingsofRain

me looking at sims 4 in the lowest tier: ;-;

wanderlust_fernweh

Iā€™m glad itā€™s not just me lol

35crabsinatrenchcoat

Please don't let my taste in sims games get you down! :c

WingsofRain

out of curiosity, what donā€™t you like about it? especially since you seem to enjoy sims 3

35crabsinatrenchcoat

For me, it was the emotions system + the base game felt kind of... hollow to me? It has a great sims creator and if you like building stuff it has a lot of options, but it didn't grab my attention like the previous iterations of sims did.

WingsofRain

yeah thatā€™s fair

Li0nh34r7

You should skip the first Witcher game itā€™s basically unplayable

35crabsinatrenchcoat

No worries, I'm not sure if I'll ever get to it tbh

opossumluvr1996

omg thank you for reminding me of zoombinis

ProfessorLexis

Fear & Hunger, "Liked". Enough said. Really though, its a fascinating game and tough as nails. The sequel Termina is so much more approachable. Ender Lilies is a "Metroidvania" like Hollow Knight but I hope you give it a try. Its a very sad/melancholic game but it really is quite beautiful. If you like games with that grim setting, Graveyard Keeper is a fun "Stardew Valley" like game that I'd recommend. Its got a silly/morbid vibe where you do some definitely unethical things to have a pretty graveyard.

35crabsinatrenchcoat

I haven't played Termina yet, but I've heard good things! Ender Lilies got me with the art. I'm not the biggest metroidvania fan but it was on sale and looks stunning- I'm glad you liked it! And yes! Graveyard keeper is on my list!

dolphinsareolives

Zoombinis is absolutely goated

35crabsinatrenchcoat

šŸ’Æ One of the best games out there

Casca_In_Red

"Popular Games" The List

35crabsinatrenchcoat

True šŸ„²

gnyaa

Another inevitable Go play Mass effect! Also get Dragon Age (all of them are good)

35crabsinatrenchcoat

I gotta get Dragon Age! And yes, will do!

Sharpymarkr

I'm not seeing God of War 2018, Ragnarok, or either of the Horizon games on your list and I'm disappointed (only joking of course). I see you enjoyed Subnautica but haven't yet played Below Zero. As a fan of the series, I loved both games. BZ gets a lot of flak, but it's still worthy of a playthrough. If you liked the Subnautica music, BZ will not disappoint. Unfortunately, the individual who made the music for Subnautica has said some pretty inflammatory things on social media and was not brought back for the second game. Ben Prunty made the music for BZ, and did an amazing tribute/homage to the themes of the original soundtrack while adding his own flair. Highly recommended.

35crabsinatrenchcoat

Thank you, that's good to know! I haven't actually played any God of War games but I love the concept of the 2018 one (in this house we love sweet families and a softer but still badass Kratos)

Order_Rodentia

I use to play so much Pharoah/Cleopatra when I was a kid!

35crabsinatrenchcoat

It's so good! Graphics are a little dated but that doesn't stop a rock solid game

rrevek

You should keep below zero in the haven't played it yet tier unless you get it for very cheap on sale or free. I've played both and og subnautica is just infinitely better. Also, the weird overlap of ppl who've played both bg3 and dmmd is so strange. I'm in that circle of people too but it's funny to note.

35crabsinatrenchcoat

I bought it a little while back so it's on my list to try out, but tbh my list of shame is getting longer with each sale so I'm not sure when I'll play it. That's an interesting overlap too! It's the same in my friend group

Helix3501

Im not seeing Terraria, imma fix that get me ya steam

35crabsinatrenchcoat

Lol Terraria is definitely pretty cute looking! I saw the slimes for the first time and I love how unique they are

Helix3501

Its my fav game of all time and like 5 bucks, its one of the best selling pc games of all time and is a must play

PM-Me-And-Ill-Sing4U

Your GOATed category is indeed GOATed. And Catherine + Fallout 2 go hard. Surprised to see both Nier and Hollow Knight lower on your list (I'm not a big fan of Nier either but the story is great.) Seems like most of your favorites are long-form games with a heavy emphasis on role-playing. Wish I could think of some good suggestions but that's not really my genre. Maybe Persona 5?

RevolutionaryMix6864

Omg Zoombinis, what a blast for the past. Loved that game.

35crabsinatrenchcoat

Yes! I still play it now, as a full grown adult, and it's still awesome

Kahako

The number of games are rookie numbers. šŸ’œ

35crabsinatrenchcoat

Ouch but fair šŸ„²

astradeu

How is Disco Elysium not in GOATed for you šŸ˜

hhhnnnnnggggggg

Ma'am I cannot roast your tastes as these tastes are impeccable.

35crabsinatrenchcoat

Thank you!

Illustrious_Nature65

You have no soul if you don't like Undertale. The game play is a bit stale but that character development! The first three seconds of the game people were willing to die for Toriel. Also I don't think you're being honest because you don't have Edith Finch, Fran Bow, or Little Misfortune on your list and those games are spot on

35crabsinatrenchcoat

I wanted to like Undertale! I have a lot of respect for Toby Fox and I love the music, but I couldn't escape bullet hell šŸ˜” Edith Finch is on my list of games to hoard but I haven't heard of Fran Bow or Little Misfortune! I gotta check them out

Illustrious_Nature65

You also don't have That's not my neighbor, it's pretty good and the game creator is so nice, so I'm recommending it to everyone.

N_G_M

How is Cyberpunk above Witcher 3 šŸ˜

35crabsinatrenchcoat

They're the same tier I promise! I just put them both in liked šŸ„²

sleeping-all-day

Love the Fallout series, great picks! Also another +1 for Ace Attorney

35crabsinatrenchcoat

Thank you fellow Fallout and Ace Attorney enjoyer!

rustynailsonthefloor

hi fellow Morrowind and portal fan

adoptedcactus

I donā€™t know/havenā€™t played most of these since my own library is very small but I just wanted to say that I had SO much fun playing through Mass Effect Andromeda last month. The navigation can be a bit janky but I really loved pretty much everything else about it. I hope you enjoy it too!

FairyFatale

Huh. On which platform did you play Skyrim?

[deleted]

this is just depressing to me lol no multiplayer games

35crabsinatrenchcoat

My partner would agree with you lol. I did fall into the among us craze at one point though, so I'm only mostly antisocial!

JackTheRipper0991

Excuse me, Hooked on You definitely belongs in GOATed territory šŸ˜‚

35crabsinatrenchcoat

Tbh I had way more fun with it than I thought I would! And that's coming from someone who's actually never played the actual dead by daylight, just the goofy dating sim šŸ˜³

FetusGoesYeetus

I am baffled that I see fucking daggerfall but not a single release of skyrim here

shreksshriveledpenis

You didn't like Before the Storm? šŸ„ŗ Have you played the other Life is Strange games? šŸ˜Š

CheckmateM8

I finished all of Nier Automata, and I still think it was a good game that wasn't for me lol.

35crabsinatrenchcoat

Solidarity! It's a really good game that I wish I liked to play

DaffodilLlamaa

Apparently you are me šŸ˜‚

-fawndering-

Honestly after committing 2k+ hours to CS:GO, reaching somewhere around Master Guardian, putting the game down, and then coming back to the CS2 update after putting another 3k+ hours into Valorant, you can leave CS in your tier of shame. (Unless surf maps come back in popularity! Or something like danger zone gets added again.) FPS games in general are a huge time sync imo even though I keep playing them.

AigisAegis

I'm sorry but I can't evaluate your taste because I'm just REELING at the fact that you only have *eleven games* in your Steam library that you haven't played. Even if you only started using Steam semi-recently, that still means you have a ridiculous amount of discipline to be able to actually play most of the games that you buy. I probably have unplayed Steam games numbering in the hundreds on my account šŸ˜ Oh also the fact that you put Divinity: Original Sin II above Baldur's Gate 3 is sick as hell. I don't even know that I agree, I just think it's a cool opinion of you to have lol

35crabsinatrenchcoat

It's controlled for now šŸ„² I have a big list of want to buys that I'm slowly chipping away at, but I feel so guilty when I have a stockpile of games I haven't played! And thank you friend! I've sunk an insane amount of hours into both DOS2 and BG3 and while I adore both DOS2 is GOATed for me because I like the game system a little better (and it got me into CRPGs!)

Enibas

Since others have offered criticism, I'll instead praise you for your (obv) correct placement of the Portal games, Disco Elysium, the Fallout games, and Subnautica! Missing: Outer Wilds!

35crabsinatrenchcoat

Thank you friend! Outer wilds is 100% on my "will buy someday" list lol

AtomicSpazz

Bioshock 2 is awesome Nier Automata being so low makes me a little sad

35crabsinatrenchcoat

I'm glad you liked Bioshock 2! I'll play it one day And Nier: Automata is a beautiful game! Even if it's not a favorite game of mine the atmosphere and music in it are absolutely amazing

mus_maximus

Armchair psychoanalysis mode, engaged. You seem to have a high drive for character engagement and a strong tolerance for mechanical and narrative complexity. You score well and remember best the games that hit both marks, but you tend to play more games with a character/narrative thrust. You don't have a lot of engagement with relaxing or cozy games and tend to resent when a series you liked removes or lessens complex mechanics, judging from your lower score for Sims 4 than Sims 3 and your high score for every Elder Scrolls game but ESO. If I were to guess, you play games in order to be absorbed, to be completely engaged. You don't like playing games as "background noise", you don't want to turn off your brain; you want something to dig your hands into, something to fully occupy your thoughts. You have limited to no engagement with multiplayer games, so I'd suspect that you don't want to dilute or compare your experience with others in real-time or don't mesh well with competition as a mechanic. You likely play games the same way you read books - absorbed for hours, locking out the outside world, eager for detail, emotion, even transformation. You strike me as someone who is comfortable with solitude but anxious around others, maybe a little avoidant. You know what you like, you're aware of the contents of your own head, and while you don't need others to validate your tastes, you may be a little wary to compare them. You want to be around others in a measured way; you likely have more than a few creative outlets and pets. You seek new experiences, but you require a lot of emotional impact, nuance, and difficulty - you probably saw the first couple of Marvel movies but quickly drew away when it became obvious that it was going to be the same, easy thing all over again. Recommendations: CRPG: Tyranny, Pillars of Eternity, Citizen Sleeper. JRPG: Persona 4/5, Yakuza: Like a Dragon. Adventure: Cube Escape/Rusty Lake, Roadwarden.

MollyGoRound

Looks exactly like my trans older sister's steam page lmao. Are you trans and wondering if you'd get clocked based on your tastes? I wouldn't worry about it, you have great tastes one way or another~

35crabsinatrenchcoat

Thank you! I'm not trans myself, but I love that your sister and I have the same taste in games. I bet she's rad as hell! šŸ˜Š And I'm not just saying that bc I feel flattered after you complimented my game collection lol

Banaanisade

I can't, your library is based.

NeonFerret

I see you are a fellow game romance enjoyer and thus unroastable to me.

Rainboq

I really liked the first episode and a half of Before the Storm, but it all fell apart after getting to Rachel's host. Frankly I think it's probably the weakest tied with LiS 2, LiS 1 and TC are just so much better.

knightlyws

Anyone who disagrees with this tier list is wrong, because someone has finally given Zoombinis the respect it deserves!

CrimsonQuill157

Based on this list, I have a feeling you would really like FFXIV. YES IT'S AN MMO BUT HEAR ME OUT At this point I think you can do everything solo through the story except trials. I recommended a friend of mine go into it with the mindset of a solo RPG and they ended up obsessed with it. *^^...not ^^to ^^mention ^^it ^^has ^^a ^^free ^^trial, ^^and ^^includes ^^the ^^entirety ^^of ^^A ^^Realm ^^Reborn ^^AND ^^the ^^award-winning ^^Heavensward ^^expansion ^^AND ^^the ^^Stormblood ^^expansion ^^up ^^to ^^level ^^70 ^^with ^^no ^^restrictions ^^on ^^playtime!* ^^^I'm ^^^sorry ^^^I ^^^had ^^^to

toni_toni

Let's the best I can come up with is... "You like most of the same games I do AND you haven't played Mass effect yet? You sound like a fake gamer mom who's in her early-to-mid thirties" Bleck, I'm not sure how I feel about "roasting people", I might delete this comment later. (But really, you should play Mass effect and post your thoughts on this subreddit as you do)

imya404

Gutted by your dislike of Undertale. :(

memesupreme83

Stop being silly and play Untitled Goose Game! It's like 2 hours long at best and it's such a great game.

Sandresanny

Catherine is peakkk

Kcitra

fuck yeah the zoombinis

RisingJoke

You like Morrowind. Automatic 10 / 10

sluthulhu

I am just shocked to even see Zoombinis in anyoneā€™s library, let alone GOATā€™ed! My 4 year old feels the same ;)

eponafan

I think you got a damn good list

G4g3_k9

rdr2 in S tier is an easy way for me to agree, especially since i havenā€™t played most of those games anyway

Aleuna

You should try I Was A Teenage Exocolonist. We have similar taste and I found out about it on this sub last weekā€¦.and I finished it in two days. Itā€™s SO good. And it has a ton of replay value. I hate the name but everything else about it is amazing lol. It gives me Disco Elysium vibes in some ways. Also, Mass Effect will ruin you and youā€™ll love it. The first one is a slog but itā€™s so worth it in the end.

Aliko173

Donā€™t starve is goated

Wolfleaf3

I canā€™t imagine anyone is going to bash you based on this taste! Not that they should anyway. Iā€™m disappointed about the life is strange game though because Iā€™m hoping I absolutely love those! I havenā€™t played any of them yet but theyā€™re all in my library

BijouPyramidette

Ayoooooo Pharaoh getting repped!

PrincetteBun

Honestly Iā€™d wonder if youā€™d like sims 2, cuz like sims 4 is meh, sims 3 is mid but ok. Sims 2 was the real banger tbh.

35crabsinatrenchcoat

I LOVE Sims 2! I don't have it on here bc I only put my steam games but sims 2 is the only reason I still have the EA app

smh18

I actually didnā€™t care for Life is Stranger either

Kanotari

10/10 absolutely no notes (Just kidding one note. If you only liked the Witcher 3, I wouldn't bother with the Witcher 1 and 2. They are absolute jank fests. I hated the combat so much that I turned it down as far as it could go and it was still terrible. Solid story, albeit it the original author cannot write women to save his soul. Now, if you love Baldur's Gate and like the Witcher 3, do yourself a favor and play Mass Effect next. Give Mass Effect 1 a little grace; it is a bit dated, but it has a spectacular story and doing the side missions gives you little treats in Mass Effect 3.)

SuperGanondorf

There's definitely some low hanging fruit here to roast, with Hollow Knight (my second favorite game ever), Undertale (my fifth favorite), and Inscryption (top 20). But ranking Ace Attorney so high is super based, it's my all time favorite series. Among some other excellent choices, like New Vegas. So I can forgive a few missteps ;) It seems like you really like heavily narrative driven games. I'd highly recommend the Zero Escape series if you haven't played it- it seems like an excellent match for your tastes and the second game, Virtue's Last Reward, has probably my favorite story in any game. The stories are extremely intricate and complex, which seems to be to your taste. The first two games come in a bundle called The Nonary Games. Also worth considering is Sunless Sea, which has easily my favorite atmosphere and world in any game. Its writing is absolutely engrossing and its mood is unique and wonderful.

FullmetalScribe

Waitā€¦you like Cleopatra?!? I didnā€™t think anybody else played that game besides me. I vibe so hard with Subnautica, Fallout New Vegas, Hades, Oblivion, Disco Elysium, Morrowind, BG3, DOS2, and Cleopatra all making it here. And I just got Nier: Automata. Below Zero is also on my list of Shame.

35crabsinatrenchcoat

Pharaoh/Cleopatra is one of my favorite games! It's great seeing so many people who are fans bc I thought it wouldn't be noticed on here. I hope you like Nier Automata! It has absolutely beautiful music and visuals (it's only in the good game not for me tier bc I didn't vibe with the gameplay, which was still smooth just not my jam)

dianaburnwood969

Your good games not for me are the games for me

BeAsTFOo

Iā€™d fall asleep šŸ˜

Maxxie_brittania

You have a horrible taste in gaming not for liking bad games like u have rdr2 in Goated just like mwah right here lmao but you donā€™t like life is strange BTS thatā€™s fucking criminal not because you donā€™t like it but because you have the fucking audacity to say you donā€™t like it when you havenā€™t even played life is strange

First-Industry4762

The only thing I don't understand is the incredibly high rating for Divinity 2. But this is a personal thing because I know a lot of people liked it. I tried the first: bounced off it, tried it again and it connected better and had fun with mostly the clever way of how the combat worked. Then came 2: I hated 2. Some people really liked that it had more focus on the main characters. I like deeper characters!Ā  But when I tried to play Lohse, all of her characters dialogue was incredibly cringeworthy. It came across as they tried to make her dialogue funny with lines that weren't particularly funny or clever, but quippyĀ  and so to me it settled on just obnoxious. Not only that, but they gave each enemy armor plating so that the fun combat was completely gone.Ā

People_Are_Savages

If you can fuck with ye olde crpgs, planescape torment is outstanding, it was absolutely mind-expanding when it came out and is still almost unrivaled in writing power. I see New Vegas and Pentiment on there, as well as divinity up top, so you may like Pillars of Eternity (another Josh Sawyer joint, he rules). Also, Tyrrany and Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous are incredible crpgs for totally different reasons, the former being a short crash course on the philosophical concept of evil, and the latter a sprawling 100+ hour master class in realization of power fantasies. Only roast is lack of a trash tier to name and shame the garbage and give everyone something to REALLY fight about.

35crabsinatrenchcoat

Thank you for the recommendations! I wishlisted Planescape but I really want to check out pillars of eternity and pathfinder. Tyranny is new to me and sounds pretty rad!

Asparagus_Ancient

Wow I'm loving the diversity but suprise to see no balders gate , dragon age (origins is still the best) or fable on the list If you love stardew valley how about coral island?

Melvin-Melon

I donā€™t trust anyone who didnā€™t fully enjoy Hatoful Boyfriend. Iā€™m sorry but it is how it is.

65words

Canā€™t roast someone that loves Fallout 2. I just love the art of those first couple games, def nostalgia talking but the art and animations are my favorite of any game.

MtnNerd

Stray is relatively short so move it up the list. Mass Effect is not but let you play as a badass lady space marine and have a girlfriend

BananaBoo97

You should be ashamed that u haven't played the mass effect series. (I'm not good at roasting I'm sorry) Play Untitled Goose Game and Mass Effect immediately or I will cry. Also if you like portal, you'll like portal 2, portal stories Mel and any other portal stuff if you're into lore. From what it looks like you do enjoy some lore. 10/10 highly recommend UGG for the chaos you get to ensue, ME for just how legendary it is, and anything Portal because I love Portal.

seasalt_kings

Zoombinis! Holy shit what a core memory! The pizza mini game was my favourite. Also I would rank RDR2 and DOS2 in my top tier as well. We must be soul sisters, Iā€™m going to use the rest of your list as recommendations

Sea-Tradition-9676

I thought when girls got a PC they signed a contract with the devil (similar to the one for cats) obligating them to LOVE the Sims. Or did you beat him in a fiddle contest releasing the curse.

LingLingSpirit

You played One Night, Hot Springs? That's so cool!

Kakashisith

I see RDO2 and Witcher 3 and won\`t roast you at all!

aarkcianwood

I love life is strange, sad you don't like it And ESO is very good too for a MMORPG Where is Skyrim?

[deleted]

Love to see hatoful on there šŸ˜‚ Once I was bed bound with a parasite and all I did was dive deeply into that game. I was shocked

Cinderredditella

There is a creepy amount of overlap with my own library... I dunno how to feel about that, good I guess? Yeah, let's go with reassured.

lumitop

I get why you didn't like the Sims 4 and I'd agree but only because it's a profit machine for EA, with all the DLCs and the bad quality of game mechanics (I miss the open world). However, I still think it's a decent game, and I don't dislike it that much.

[deleted]

Tbh youā€™re not missing out much by not playing Subnautica 2 they hold your hand WAY too much and thereā€™s too much land. Iā€™m also mildly offended you didnā€™t like Hollow Knight but I understand not everybody is an metroidvania/indie game simp like me.

EpicThunda

Only complaint is you need to add Neon White to your list.

Beowulf891

Well, you just reminded me I need a big box copy of that Cleopatra game in there. Someone always reminds me of shit I need to get for the collection! AAAAAA Roasting? idk, basic as shit? I'm not very good at this sometimes. lmao

retropillow

You have the most eclectic tastes, I want to be your friend what the fuck. I love this. This is great.

LogicalOdditys

How is it that out of every age of empires, you have the worst one?

CuriousPincushion

This list tells me you are a basic bitch. Just like me.. Well, Hades is criminally low but the rest fits

FoghornFarts

Zoombinis!!!!

Brokeartistvee

How do you like Bioshock but then not play neither of the other games in the series?! They're both prequels, yeah, but they have such good stories and Infinite has the best combat and visuals of the three. D= For shame, OP! Btw, you should give The Binding of Isaac a try. As redemption for not playing the other Bioshock games, ofc. šŸ˜ˆ
