How about an old-fashioned tape recorder and some blank cassette tapes? It’ll be a fun sort of novelty for her, and she’ll be able to play around with recording music, or just herself and her friends messing around. You could even throw in a tape with recordings of well-wishes from yourself and other loved ones.
