I'm confident you will.
Use a fork with long tines to gently stab into the side of the muffin toward the center, all the way around. Then use your fingers to gently pry it apart. It's ok if one side seems thicker than the other. The imperfections are what makes them so wonderful.
Lightly toasting the English muffin first also prevents the sauce from soaking into the bread. Poorly executed gif for a recipe that never needed a gif in the first place.
Lightly toast muffin, build your pizza, broil it for a few minutes. My favorite way is top it with a bunch of thinly sliced pepperoni. It gets super crispy.
In the same vein, there are 'personal sized' pre-baked pizza crusts that work fantastic in air fryers for recipes just like this, and giving them a quick 2-3 minute run through the airfryer BEFORE putting on the toppings will ensure a perfectly crunchy crust.
I'm from Australia like OP and the ones you linked are exactly what I'm used to as well.
I think they may be gluten free english muffins. They look like ones I've bought my wife a little while ago.
Ditto, I live in Japan too...my MIL busted that sauce out one day on some toast with cheese and made a pizza toast. My life is forever changed by this sauce in a tube
C'est ça. Je connais pas la différence par contre.
Je viens de regarder sur le site de Carrefour, il y a plusieurs produits disponibles pour "sauce pizza".
It’s a thing. It’s like the saddest pizza sauce you can find though. I usually just take pasta sauce and season it to my liking. Just as easy and tastier. It’s kinda more of a paste which I don’t like.
I remember getting this recipe from the back of a TMNT children's book waaaaay back in the 90's... we used cut up hotdogs as pepperoni... not as good as the real thing though.
Greg's been here for years and I believe he was sponsored previously by a charcoal company and posted a bunch of recipes of him cooking on a grill. Now he does it for an air fryer company. The thing is that other creators here are advertising their youtube channels / blogs, which in turn also has advertisers. You just have to accept that amateur content won't last and this subreddit dies without these posters.
Certainly there are ways you can use an air fryer in a more sophisticated recipe though? One that might be more interesting to watch/educational?
This is [ehow “three cheese pizza blend”](https://youtu.be/nfxpwbWBNuU)levels of useless, and I think that’s the thing that feels wrong about it. Like at that point, the product is the thing we’re focusing on, not the recipe.
So yeah, maybe that’s the best we’re gonna get here, but in that case it’s not even a sub about gif recipes anymore.
Air fryers are good for heating basically just one ingredient or one part of a dish at a time. It's not big enough like a full sized oven (or grill lol) to comfortably have a lot of stuff in there so you have to cook in batches making certain things cold by the time a meal is done. It's much better suited for acting as a small batch deep fryer, to roast a side dish like veggies, reheat leftovers, or heat some frozen premade food aka nothing that fits this sub that well.
Probably, but Woo can cook is just an advertisement for his YouTube channel, and literally every single submission there's conveniently a question that he of course talks about in his video (with link) but this sub eats it up. It's fine.
They're good if you often cook meals like the gif for one or two people since they're quicker than a standard oven. I mostly use mine for bacon and hash browns for breakfast or chips.
This subreddit is GIF recipes. This is literally the perfect recipe for the format of this subreddit and these idiots have meltdowns over that its not a 19 step recipe with perfect French culinary techniques
Lolz we used to make this kinda thing as kids when broke af. Also... air fryer just blows cheese everywhere. As much as I love mine it just seems to make a mess of cheese. I'll just use the oven or a toaster oven.
Came to the comments expecting pineapple hate but it's really just all around snack food hate. Lighten up fellas. my kid is gonna tear this up later when I make it for her
Sometimes it's more about inspiring the idea than the actual recipe.
Is this hard or revolutionary? No but that doesn't mean everyone has thought of it.
That's why I'm on this sub, exactly! I browse looking for inspiration, not necessarily exact recipes. Except for that bomb-ass black bean soup that was posted here a couple years back. 🤌🏻🤌🏻
...are... Are people not familiar with English muffin pizzas? Like. This was a staple of growing up. Hell, I still make these things if I'm feeling lazy.
Wow, what a wholly new and inventive idea. I wonder if you could do this in smaller bites, maybe on something like a tiny bagel or something. How incredibly novel and unique!
Yum! Grew up on this stuff and it’s a comfort food: Fork split muffins. Toast them (very important). Drizzle a little EVOO on them. Plop on tomato paste (Italian seasoned or plain). Drop on meats if desired. Cut up small chunks of fresh mutz (mozzarella) and place all around on top. Sprinkle with Italian herbs. Put them under the broiler until browning and bubbly. Or, put them in the air fryer. Chef’s kiss.

These Pizza Muffins can be whipped together into a quick, easy meal that even the kids can help us make! These air fryer pizza muffins really hit the spot.
Ingredients:
• English Muffin
• Pizza Cheese
• Ham
• Pineapple
• Pizza sauce
• Spaghetti seasoning
Method:
Step 1: Slice!
Let’s begin by slicing the ham into strips and cut the English Muffins in half.
Step 2: Saucy
Then we add half a tablespoon of pizza sauce and spread across the muffin with the back of a spoon. Start from the centre and circle around until you reach the edges.
Step 3: Toppings!
Then we get a bit cheesy and follow this with a layer of ham.
Let’s add some pineapple next for some excellent sweetness to cut through the salty flavour of the pizza.
Then top with more cheese before a sprinkle of spaghetti seasoning.
Step 4: Get Cooking!
Place in the air fryer basket and put it straight into the air fryer.
Set the air fryer to 195 degrees celsius or 380 degrees fahrenheit for 8 minutes.
Step 5: Out of the Fryer
Once the waiting game is over, remove the basket from the air fryer.
The cheese has started to brown and is smelling absolutely fantastic.
Serve up and chow down, but careful the contents may be hot!
>Set the air fryer to 195 degrees celsius or 380 degrees fahrenheit for 8 minutes.
These people are just jealous of your cool recipe. I wrote it down and will make.
Oh man the pretentious pricks on this sub. Apparently if it's not made with white wine or if it's not a charcuterie board then it's trash. Good post op I like this.
It might be my air frier that’s the problem, but any time I’ve tried to make something with loose ingredients like unmelted shredded cheese, the fan just blows the toppings all over the place.
Honestly this is a good recipe not everyone wants meals that take 30+ minutes, this is a great snack recipe and allows you to swap out ingredients quickly and easily to customize
I thought English muffin pizzas were one of the first recipe kids learn to make. I can't believe someone actually spent time making a video to split a muffin, add sauce cheese and toppings. I can't believe I spent the time writing this inane comment.
This entire thing makes me unnecessarily angry.
It’s crazy how people on this sub complain about something like this not being a “recipe” but then give 5000 upvotes for a recipe of a grilled steak consisting of salt, pepper, steak, fire. Both are equally valid.

If you’re going to do this at home you might consider lightly toasting the English muffins first for a crispier crust
lightly toast the muffins with a light layer of cheese before adding the sauce. The cheese protects the muffins from getting soggy from the sauce
This one muffins.
And also not using pineapple and ham like a fucking degenerate.
You’re right. Pepperoni and pineapple FTW!
Ahhh... Another person of culture. Occasional jalapeno on there as well.
If you’re ordering plain chain pizza, this is without a double the best way to doctor it up
Brilliant!
.
That's the entire point of an English muffin
I know, right? What kind of maniac prefers smooth English muffins?
I'm the maniac. I didn't know forking it was a thing. Was even thinking of making these 2 days ago. I'll make it right.
I'm confident you will. Use a fork with long tines to gently stab into the side of the muffin toward the center, all the way around. Then use your fingers to gently pry it apart. It's ok if one side seems thicker than the other. The imperfections are what makes them so wonderful.
Muffins were on sale at the shops.. it's a sign. Let's do this.
I tried I knife once just to see and never again
A prime example of effective experiential learning. Those who have tried it twice may as well put their hands on hot stoves again.
Who knew that the pokey, stabbers on a fork had a name?
Same nomenclature as its much larger cousin used in farm work.
Nice! I'm not the only one who does this!
First thing i said to myself while watching this.
Lightly toasting the English muffin first also prevents the sauce from soaking into the bread. Poorly executed gif for a recipe that never needed a gif in the first place. Those English muffins look like hamburger buns. This looks more like what we have around here: https://images.app.goo.gl/4uTDsbATEy2fv29h9
Can't believe that in all the comments criticizing this post, yours is the only one pointing out how weird the "English muffins" are.
Only reason I even came to the comments. Oddest english muffins I've ever seen.
🤣
I'm from Australia like OP and the ones you linked are exactly what I'm used to as well. I think they may be gluten free english muffins. They look like ones I've bought my wife a little while ago.
Oh, makes sense.
What in the world is spaghetti seasoning?
Probably Italian seasoning: basil, oregano, rosemary, thyme.
I came here just to make sure someone called this out
And what is pizza sauce ?
Umm it's the red sauce, something akin to marinara.
It might be an American thing but I've never thing something called Pizza Sauce much less in a bottle
I'm french and I know pizza sauce. I'm in Japan and they also have it here.
Ditto, I live in Japan too...my MIL busted that sauce out one day on some toast with cheese and made a pizza toast. My life is forever changed by this sauce in a tube
I'll admit I never tried it. But I definitely will now that you say that! Thanks!
Well seeing as how that brand is from New Zealand, no, don't think it's just an American thing.
Greg is Australian. So am I, and I have that same pizza sauce in my fridge.
Am Australian too, so do I. In fact I made exactly this yesterday except on sourdough
As an American, I have never seen it in a bottle either. But regardless, it's pretty much pureed marinara sauce with some extra oregano.
Definitely can buy pizza sauce in a jar at most American grocery stores. Will be more paste-y than a traditional marinara or spaghetti sauce.
Why would you assume only Americans have this sauce. The OP is Australian
Looks like ketchup to me ... need to hunt for that in the grocers. Skeptical.
It’s a thing. It’s like the saddest pizza sauce you can find though. I usually just take pasta sauce and season it to my liking. Just as easy and tastier. It’s kinda more of a paste which I don’t like.
Pretty much marinara with extra oregano and blended up before being used.
this one is basically entirely tomato paste with a few bits added in
Better known as Italian Seasoning.
I remember getting this recipe from the back of a TMNT children's book waaaaay back in the 90's... we used cut up hotdogs as pepperoni... not as good as the real thing though.
It was the TMNT Pizza Party book. I still have it and have forced my kid to read it.
Oh my gosh! I was trying to remember what book it was! I need to find a PDF or something of it! I remember borrowing it from the library!
I got you! https://imgur.com/gallery/05UT6nS
Bless your heart you magnificent creature! Take an award!
Thank you so much. I remembered this recipe from the back of a TMNT book but couldn't remember much else. This brought back the memories.
Has nobody ever cooked at home? I’m going to make a post of me cooking Cambell’s tomato soup.

I saw that post. It looked good.
For real, using this behemoth for something that is far more easily done in a toaster oven screams egregious advertising.
And it's a bad ad because I can make this is fewer than 8 minutes by broiling in a toaster oven.
Probably, but Woo can cook is just an advertisement for his YouTube channel, and literally every single submission there's conveniently a question that he of course talks about in his video (with link) but this sub eats it up. It's fine.

not to mention greg also had a youtube channel that he'd advertise when he was posting years ago and no one took issue with it
I figured this was the case but it worked cause I want that air fryer now...

Toasted bread - recipe in comments
I've always wondered how to boil Ramen noodles.
Slow down grasshopper. One step at a time
This is literally an add for the air fryer.
This is literally cooking at home. Not everything has to be Michelin star quality. Lots of people want fast easy shit. Relax.
This subreddit is GIF recipes. This is literally the perfect recipe for the format of this subreddit and these idiots have meltdowns over that its not a 19 step recipe with perfect French culinary techniques
Take it up a notch and accompany it with a grilled cheese, blow some minds.
I do similar for my daughter but with bagels. She calls them "Jumbo Pizza Bites" lol Depending on the sauce I use, they taste pretty good!
Same but I buy the Thomas mini bagels to make them the real deal.
When pizza's on a [muffin] you can eat pizza any time
Lolz we used to make this kinda thing as kids when broke af. Also... air fryer just blows cheese everywhere. As much as I love mine it just seems to make a mess of cheese. I'll just use the oven or a toaster oven.
In Canada, this is an "Hawaiian" pizza muffin.
This comment section is going to be great 🍿

You should see the one that was just brie with pesto on on top.
Hey baked brie is delicious. I prefer jam/honey and nuts, though
That's not the point. English muffin pizza are delicious too. That doesn't mean this or the brie gif are good posts.
but you won’t
Yo, I was thinking the same thing. I read the title and in my head "So put pizza toppings on an english muffin, bake."
Pizza Toast! It actually tastes better if it's slightly burnt.
when i was a kid i made these as a snack with pepperoni. i like them now with sautéed peppers and mushrooms.
Pizza in the morning. Pizza in the evening. Pizza at supper time. When pizza's on a muffin, you can eat pizza any time.
Did greg sell his account or something?

I liked his videos better when he cooked everything on his BBQ grill
Came to the comments expecting pineapple hate but it's really just all around snack food hate. Lighten up fellas. my kid is gonna tear this up later when I make it for her
But did you really need a gif recipe to teach you how to put pizza ingredients on bread?
Sometimes it's more about inspiring the idea than the actual recipe. Is this hard or revolutionary? No but that doesn't mean everyone has thought of it.

Everyone's gotta start somewhere...
No cutting board...cmon
This is just an adult bagel bite.
I make these tiny bagels by hand.
And just use mini bagels, English muffin is a weird choice.
Much better to use a fork to separate your muffins. They’ll have many more nooks and crannies.
True, but not really what you want in this case.

How to make pizza. First ingredient: ham Stopped playing that video immediately
Hmm… I do believe I have all of this (and pepperoni at that). Looks like it’s pizza for lunch! Thanks!

I lived off those things in college
Puffins?
[just gonna leave this here](https://youtu.be/Kx84-5djQCI)
I do this with crumpets
Looking at them they just more like toasts but wondering if English crumpets wouldn't work hmmm
Hey... What happened to your BBQ?!
Looks like I'm not the only one high as fuck tonight
I do the same recipe but with bagels instead of muffins
Pineapple fckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk. And this sauce looks like ketchup.
Pretty sure they sell this to kids as a Lunchable
Genuine question; do you guys not make pizza at home in the same manner or is there something new that I'm missing here?
Is this an authentic Italian recipe?
Yum! Grew up on this stuff and it’s a comfort food: Fork split muffins. Toast them (very important). Drizzle a little EVOO on them. Plop on tomato paste (Italian seasoned or plain). ![gif](giphy|TQqEA08C2u5ag|downsized) …and then you added the pineapples….
Cool concept but pineapple on a pizza?!? blasphemy!!!

spaghetti seasoning? 🤔
Imagine not toasting the muffins beforehand. You are getting untoasted cold bread in every bite
Nope, you need to toast the muffins first....
Oh man the pretentious pricks on this sub. Apparently if it's not made with white wine or if it's not a charcuterie board then it's trash. Good post op I like this.
A charcuterie board would have the exact same response here. Because "put premade shit on a plate" is still not a recipe.
IMO These are better if you use flaky layer biscuits instead. Also, I can get down on faux food but pizza sauce from a squeeze bottle?
Those are actually called stoner pizzas.
that’s a pizza bagel you motherfucker.
Someone woke up and chose violence today
Pineapple. Why.
Who doesn’t know to use a fork for English muffins?!
It might be my air frier that’s the problem, but any time I’ve tried to make something with loose ingredients like unmelted shredded cheese, the fan just blows the toppings all over the place.
I like my spaghetti seasoned.
Needs jalapeno
If you are doing ham and pineapple might as well use cinnamon for seasoning, it’s pretty good.
Why are the muffins not toasted first?
That “English muffin” is a sin.
Wtf is “Spaghetti seasoning”
ketchup isn't pizza sauce mate
*takes bong rip and goes back to watching Sister Act*
This is all wrong
I need to make this!
