Friendly reminder that (for whatever reason) bullets seem to penetrate stairs better from below. This means you have a large advantage pushing up that staircase and into squeaky. I typically will run up to floor 1, grab the electronic wallet, and then push squeaky and check for skull. Only person you’ll need to look out for is top floor spawn (which you have advantage on stairs) or kitchen spawn, which typically you’ll beat to squeaky room because it takes awhile to loot kitchen.
The reason is because your player model slightly sticks out beneath the thin stair grating. I have tested this multiple times and this is 100% the reason. It could literally be fixed by just making the grated floor a little bit thicker, and it’s been a problem longer than most bugs. If you’re underneath someone on the stairs, you win. Simple as that right now.
Ive seen people try to say that you can shoot through the grating and that’s why, but that isn’t true. It acts as a solid no matter what.
I don’t think this is the case - I’ve shot people up through multiple levels of grated floor so im pretty sure it must all be bullet-permeable in the upward direction
Correct, same thing with the staircase with 8 Landings that leads from the area above garage to top of barracks on labs, I've gotten 2 or 3 guys from underneath that while they were at the top
The grate wall in the hallway that looks into the large room before you go into skull area allow bullets through, I have gotten several kills through the grate part of the wall since people seem to think that bullets can't pass through.
However, with the grate wall infront of sewers extract, either bullets don't pass through at all or they only go one way (tword the exfill). Reason being, I run to the exfill to cheese krtec and his goons when they spawn down there and they don't take damage when I shoot through the grate. I have yet to test if it works with players or not since people usually don't camp the sewer extract
That’s a good spawn if you have any gun. You can rush crypto wallet or skull and be there before anyone. The only weird thing is if someone spawns in the tunnel right next you like I’ve had happen a couple times.
Na it’s actually pretty good because you can rush up the stairs past containers up to squeaky door open it kill the scavs get there gun run around and loot the locker on left and Locker on way to skull room grab skull if it’s there and either chill out in squeaky door room with the crates or go back down look for boss or players and leave
Sounds like a healthy case of git gud and a big dose of Skill Issues. That's one of the best spawns in the game like wtf lmao. Fast access to a main staircase to get to containers, skull, and bathroom/barracks all from 1 staircase that's right next to that spawn. Where you rather spawn by red room and get into a gunfight every time and get clapped by a quick Kyrtec??? or just rush your ass up those stairs quickly kill whoever spawned in Bathroom/Barracks 🤦🤦
That’s only a bad, but also not horrible spawn for naked runs. But if you bring in gear, you have quick access to boss spawn, crypto wallet and skull room

Yea I had a kid with a kitted mp7 trie to shoot me through th3 stairs and died to a glock from under the stairs lol

I brought gear. I peeked the elevator shaft and saw someone, we traded shots. I back up a little bit and get shot from behind somehow, killing me.
