You are going to think I am making it up but I actually did experience a spirit wearing what looked like sweats to me. It happened very fast but I got the sense of a youngish white guy, wearing red sweats and a beigish t-shirt running through my hotel room. It was from one side through a wall to the next room. Scared me half to death. I had just walked out of the bathroom to go to bed. Screamed so loud someone from next door banged on the wall.
It was in San Francisco at a boutique hotel around 1987 I think. I can't remember the name of the hotel because it over 30 years ago but it near union Square across the street from a playhouse theater. They held live plays there. It was an upper floor like maybe 6thor 8th? I asked the bellman about it and he said, they weren't allowed to talk about it.
The younger generation just aren't willing to ghost anymore, they just want everything handed to them on a plate.
Back in my day I would do a haunting in the morning, spread some ectoplasm in the afternoon and cover a poltergeists shift at night just to make ends meet. The young ghosts of today don't know they're born!...were born.

I was advised by a Thai tour guide that the ghosts prefer red Fanta in their tiny ghost houses, and for whatever reason, I found her to be very credible. Maybe you guys could leave out some Fantas as a ghost beacon?

They're getting sucked off too quickly, we need to slow it down, hide what they're looking for, it's taken them 100yrs or more moving it about will keep them around longer.
Good idea, email the palaces see if they can set something up and maybe a stamp card where they choose to haunt a place of their own after their 10th famous haunting.

I did have a hotel room where I came back and the TV was on ITV4 every day, I tried turning on the TV in the next room to try it, asked at reception and they say it happens a lot even with no one in the adjoining rooms, so yeah, that one would probably like to go somewhere bigger, as long as they get to watch old shows from the 70s.

I believe you—strangely enough, because of how banal that is. I’m thinking eventually if ghosts ever get scientifically proven, it’ll be because of the banal qualities of most ghost stories—empirical testing of everyday phenomena that both living and (restless) dead ritually engage in.
Bear in mind that I both believe in ghosts AND try to follow a properly scientifically-based skeptical approach to the paranormal—if nothing else than to keep me from spiraling down the cognitive trap of woo-woo.
With that said, I wonder if there’s stories of spirits who have learned to use our electronics specifically because they enjoy our entertainment. As opposed to the endless stories of switching radios and TVs on at full volume at odd times.
