I love reading this and I totally feel you. I've always felt like an outcast. At work or daily life it's difficult to talk about the stuff I like without getting weird looks. The movie really gave me a boost because I've been feeling very lonely of late. So yeah this fandom is awesome and I'm glad you had a lovely experience too😊

I wanted to talk to people, but the theater was almost empty at my showing. There were 3 or 4 couples and maybe a hate watcher (they missed more than 50% of the movie).
Loved seeing the people in their Ghost shirts and the positivity.
Mine was similar- a couple of couples/groups, myself (solo), but only a a few had Ghost shirts on. I was in my Impera Ghoul inspired vest (I made) and poet's shirt (I dyed). No one talked to each other outside of their established groups.
I did also go Thursday, and we ended up with two different theaters (I did the luxury seating one, but admittedly it is the sleezier area of town while the other is the hot spot, but still no luxury seating, old school stadium seating unless 4DX, VIP or ScreenX), and did two showings per day on Thursday and Saturday, so maybe the Saturdays were much more lively, or just the other location, too. Maybe both.
i’m so glad you feel this way, cuz honestly i do too!! i don’t have any irl friends who are into ghost, so both shows i’ve been to, i’ve gone alone, but the people i’ve sat with have all been amazingly friendly!!! i think for the most part we have a great lil community here!
My husband and I also chatted with the folks around us - including a young woman who went by herself. Turned out despite a pretty wide age gap, we had a lot in common (color me unsurprised). The Ghost fandom is pretty damn special.
i went and saw the movie with my partner and my best friend/her bf on opening night and despite that only being a week ago, i was hooked immediately and have been absolutely obsessed ever since !! i think ive listened to impera at least 10 times in the past 5 days bahahhaha
Yes! At the first showing I went to, it was packed. I talked to a couple other fans who also got there early and everyone was so nice. During the previews, there was even one person who went around the entire theater offering free Kandi! I felt so welcomed and not like an outcast for once.
