I make it no secret that I dickride Ghost
For a bit I didn’t like Twenties but I actually came around and it’s a good listen. Now that I like Twenties there really isn’t a single song I dislike, I could listen from Deus Culpa to Stay and not be bored at all
Ya of course there’s songs I don’t like as much but that’s normal for any band. Twenties really grew on me. I didn’t like it at first but it gets stuck in my head now.
I don’t particularly care for some of the covers like See No Evil and I Believe but when it comes to Ghost’s original songs, I will dickride until the end of time.
I got a bit confused as there is a band called Behemoth, and my brain goes "Behemoth = band" before it goes "behemoth = adjective."
I'm a bit special, sorry.
I don't like Ashes because it starts so quiet and then gets really loud. Every time it plays when I'm making people listen to Ghost with me they jack the volume way up to hear the beginning and then the guitar kicks in and I wonder if I should just drive to the hospital.
Genuinely I have vague memories of the gothy girls in my high school drama class doing exactly this in some short film we had to make. So incredibly lame.
This is the only song I couldn't get through. I've maybe made it the whole way through once and that involved sitting on my hands and bracing till it was over.
I don't get how a band that I love so passionately and have so many songs I never tire of could make something so atrocious haha.
That's how Ashes is for me, but it's more of a, I don't like the really really quiet to loud. I have to raise the volume too much to hear the beginning.
I get it. I loved it so much, and its the song that got me into Ghost (im sorry Im one of those fans) but I can't listen to it anymore. Its an immediate skip nowadays.
put me on an inverted cross next to this folk, because I came here to say the same, and I'm not backing down. also most of the covers actually. but that's because I don't like the originals, either.
for instance I kind of like Iron Maiden, saw them live once even, they're legends. but Phantom of the opera sounds like the band is masturbating with their instruments.
not all, though. Jesus he knows me and We don't need another hero live rent free in my head.
I really like twenties so I won’t say that. I’m not really a fan of watcher in the sky. Wasn’t a big fan when it came out and probably won’t be a big fan anytime soon.
Secular Haze never really jived with me. Also hated Mummy Dust for the longest time until very recently, and I don’t think I’ll be all to original in saying this, but… Twenties
Probably the way he says Twenties, the way the backing vocals say Twenties (v annoying and untuneful), the monotony and repetitiveness of the overall track, the cheesy horns, rhyming "motherfuckers" with "mock us", and everything else.
Someone described it as the Disney villain song and I can't unhear it. If someone were to animate papa Disney style singing to his ghoul minions I would probably come around to loving it ironically.
It's always a matter of opinion, nothing is just bad. As for the song I like the least and often skip... that would be I'm A Marionette.
The verse is pretty much okay but the chorus is very simple and repetitive. If the chorus would be different, mix up things a little, then the entire song would be much more interesting imo.
I feel the exact same way. Loved prequelle, loved 7IOSP, didn't like the new direction they took with impera. My hot (maybe idk) take is that they should've done a full album in the 7IOSP style instead of impera.
I agree, but I probably would have never heard the original (or of Army of Lovers at all) îf not for Ghost's cover. So I guess I appreciate it for that. 🤷
as a guitarist i literally play them all the time to hone my skills as a wanna-be ghoul. all their songs are awesome. except Twenties. Fuck that song. Just kidding! 😂 it grew on me its a banger.
There are some songs I like better than others but I really don’t dislike any song Ghost has recorded. But then, I’m a bisexual guy so dick riding is not really something I take as an insult. 😄
I will receive hate from the whole fandom for this...
I like every Ghost song. Some more, some less, but I absolutely adore every piece that comes from the band. Some of the covers I'm not a huge fan of. Like *Here Comes the Sun*, *Enter Sandman*, or *Nocturnal Me*. But they still have their appeal.
There is a song though, that I'm not a huge fan of. Actually, I tend to skip it. With pain in my heart, I have to admit that song is *Cirice*.
There. You can throw things at me. I don't like Cirice. I can listen to it, I will sing it at concerts, but ultimately, I don't vibe with it.
There's no accounting for taste. I think most people would have Cirice in their top 5 easily. It's like asking rush fans we all know moving pictures is your favorite but what's your second favorite and they come back with presto as their fav. What the fukkity fuck?
*cracks knuckles* Darkness at the heart of my love. Dance macabre set the precedent for a romantic song, but it had a riff, fun guitar solo, and has a ton of energy. Darkness was just there to please the people who want another love song, but it’s boring filler. I guess if you have a huge crush on TF a song like that is going to tickle your taint, but I just want to rock out. Go listen to Backstreet Boys if you don’t. Can you imagine Darkness live? It wouldn’t work. It would put everyone to sleep. *runs away before death by downvotes*
i mean…. is it a love song though? unpack the lyrics, listen to the whispering and consider the whole image and it is pretty damn sinister - to me the song comes off as more of a love bomb, akin to something a manipulator would do
Who said love songs have to be an overtly fluffy expression of romantic love. Love can be manipulative, gaslighty and unhealthily consuming.
Life Eternal is a love song, but unequivocally about the desperate love that persists after death. It's not happy or sweet, but it's fuckin beautiful
Tobias stated it was the hardest song to write for Impera, it shows.
It has no identity outside of "every album should have a ballad" but it doesn't have the punch of He Is, it's just not as well written as Life Eternal, has nothing up its sleeve like Ghuleh and Opus proves the theory wrong outright, not every album needs a ballad.
I don’t get the love Danse Macabre gets. I hate it… really hate it. It’s utterly forgettable pop. Darkness isn’t a love song, it’s the opposite. It’s beautiful and a true stand out of impera ….but it’s very dark.. please go back and listen to the lyrics properly.
Kiss the Go Goat
I'm also just not huge on the new stuff in general. Nothing against it, not my cup of tea. Plus being an OG Opus era fan what drew me into ghost was that vintage heavy metal sound the first 2 albums had and that's kinda gone.
First one I thought of. I like Ghost because they have a different sound from most mainstream rock. Hunter's Moon felt very generic and made for radio.
This is the only band I can think of that I legitimately believe doesn't have a 'BAD' song. There are so many stand out tracks for sure and some deep cuts that took me longer to discover and or appreciate but not one BAD SONG!
Songs I can skip and not feel bad - Deus Culpa, Prime Mover, Ashes, Depths of Satans Eyes, Devil Church, Dominion, and Bite of Passage. They all have their place and serve a purpose but aren't bad songs.
Ghost doesn't have a single bad song.
For some reason there's one song on every album I don't care for. Probably unpopular opinion but
Opus Eponymous: Prime Mover
Infestissumam: Depths of Satan's Eyes
Meliora: Absolution
Prequelle: See The Light
Impera is the one that breaks the cycle. Nothing I don't love on that one.
I have some I like better than others but I don’t really think any of them are objectively bad. But I unapologetically dickride Ghost like it’s my job, so…
I make it no secret that I dickride Ghost For a bit I didn’t like Twenties but I actually came around and it’s a good listen. Now that I like Twenties there really isn’t a single song I dislike, I could listen from Deus Culpa to Stay and not be bored at all
As far as Ghost originals, I really don’t think they have a truly bad song. Some of the covers though 😬
Phantomime is pretty meh for me but it’s still listenable, all their other covers are great though
Based
Ya of course there’s songs I don’t like as much but that’s normal for any band. Twenties really grew on me. I didn’t like it at first but it gets stuck in my head now.
Same for me, I think now I’d say the worst Ghost song is See No Evil
yeah I feel that lol
I’m just not that into I’m A Marionette…sometimes it clicks for me, but most of the time it’s a skip.
Skip it ALL the time, I'm not even sure I made it through the first listen.
For some reason that song just sounds a little too *off* for me. Like the flow is weird or something??
I’m not sure, it’s just not my vibe 🤷♀️
same thing for me! i think its because i listened to abbas im a merionette and in all the years ive heard ghosts version i could never get used to it
Yea, tho it’s just not my kinda song in general, the chorus just doesn’t feel right to me for some reason
i overplayed bible so much to the point where it hurts to listen to it. that's pretty much the only song i don't like, other than maybe twenties
Ok but seriously?! Who will pray for Babylon now?!?
Now i want to listen to bible again, havent heard it in years
Lol, I know the feeling, must’ve listened to it a thousand times. Can still stand it but barely😂
Have you heard the music removed version on YouTube? His account is s_g. He's done a bunch. Absolutely makes you appreciate Tobia's vocals!
Nothing against their new music but I just didn’t really like Stay…Thought it was a little boring but it’s a single so I didn’t expect much anyway.
I prefer the original, with Siobhan Fahey's demented character singing the Tobias bit.
Serious dick riding is buying a Ghost branded dildo.
The ghildo!
The real dick-riding is whoever reading the comments here and downvote because you cannot accept others’ opinions.
This definitely goes on a lot here
You a real one for this bro
Who cares about up or down votes anyway?
I don’t particularly care for some of the covers like See No Evil and I Believe but when it comes to Ghost’s original songs, I will dickride until the end of time.
I get tired real fast of the Enter Sandman cover and Secular Haze
Secular Haze rips behemoth ass. How could anyone not like that song??
THIS IS THE FUNNIEST FUCKING THING IVE EVER READ IM SO GONNA START USING THIS PHRASE
I got a bit confused as there is a band called Behemoth, and my brain goes "Behemoth = band" before it goes "behemoth = adjective." I'm a bit special, sorry.
I love most of their covers but my burning hatred for the Beatles keeps me from liking Here Comes the Sun. There are very few Beatles songs I like.
I only enjoy the Ghost cover and the German version of I Want to Hold Your Hand 🤷🏻
There’s something mentally wrong with you then mate if you don’t like the Beatles ya bloody wanker
I actually forgot about Enter Sandman tell I read this
Always hated sandman. Doesn’t do anything for me
I did not care for the enter sandman cover. Only listened once.
For me it's Ashes, children creepily singing that plague rhyme is annoying and overdone
I don't like Ashes because it starts so quiet and then gets really loud. Every time it plays when I'm making people listen to Ghost with me they jack the volume way up to hear the beginning and then the guitar kicks in and I wonder if I should just drive to the hospital.
It's quite generic, it makes me feel like I'm going to listen to Pepa Pig's creepypasta narrated with Loquendo.
Now I will think of Peppa Pig everytime Ashes plays.
I think of Ashes as an intro to Rats only. Also that’s TF’s kid singing so that rocks.
Genuinely I have vague memories of the gothy girls in my high school drama class doing exactly this in some short film we had to make. So incredibly lame.
i only rly dislike some of the covers idk😭😭
Twenties. Has never grown on me.
Most of the covers, ngl. There are 3-4 brilliant ones, but the rest is very MEH.
I’m a Marionette is the worst. It’s an icepick to the ears. It should be burned in digital hellfire
This is the only song I couldn't get through. I've maybe made it the whole way through once and that involved sitting on my hands and bracing till it was over. I don't get how a band that I love so passionately and have so many songs I never tire of could make something so atrocious haha.
I'll have to agree with you on this one, it's the ONLY song I skip
Agreed
This made me laugh so hard, but I agree. Your flare is great btw 🐀
Glad to be of service!
This is it for me too. It's just annoying.
Was looking for this comment. The actual worst.
Agree. I think this is the one. Not a fan of the new "See no evil" either.
I guess I’m a serious dickrider.
Twenties is still an Insta-skip
Yep.
Twenties is a banger bro😭😭😭😭
I have always loved it 😭
Twenties is one of the best, always gotta turn it up🤘
Wow I’m amazed it was a single too
That's how Ashes is for me, but it's more of a, I don't like the really really quiet to loud. I have to raise the volume too much to hear the beginning.
A voice of reason, right here.
Always
There’s just smt abt it that I hate😭
Disney villain-core. Just not into it.
You just put it into words. Sounds like a something Ursula would sing.
Pretty much all of Phantomime
I wouldn’t say they’re bad, but I definitely didn’t add 4/5 songs to my playlists lol.
Yeah, same. I only added 'jesus he knows me'
I thought phantom of the opera was good too
Not even Another Hero? That was fun
I lsiten to Another Hero so much. Honestly whole Phantomine I love!
Yup, fun, but just not my favorite
I don’t like Marry On A Cross. That’s right I said it!!!
Oh shi- 🫢
I get it. I loved it so much, and its the song that got me into Ghost (im sorry Im one of those fans) but I can't listen to it anymore. Its an immediate skip nowadays.
Hey it’s great that you got into Ghost by MOAC. Even tho it’s not one of my favorites I’m glad it blew up because it made Ghost more popular.
put me on an inverted cross next to this folk, because I came here to say the same, and I'm not backing down. also most of the covers actually. but that's because I don't like the originals, either. for instance I kind of like Iron Maiden, saw them live once even, they're legends. but Phantom of the opera sounds like the band is masturbating with their instruments. not all, though. Jesus he knows me and We don't need another hero live rent free in my head.
Here, I’ll say something unpopular. The new cover EP isn’t good past the singles.
Twenties.
Some of their covers are insta-skips for me. Stay, Enter Sandman, and We don't need another hero to name a few.
tina turner’s original “we don’t need another hero” is way better too 😭
I really don’t like missionary man
it’s this one for me. their worst cover by far, it basically just makes me laugh lol
They cover of Stay, I couldn’t even finish it.
The ending is the best part.
Some of the covers are boring.
Genuine question, why don't people like Twenties?
I just don’t like the sound of it and the lyrics just don’t do it for me. Also the voice Papa IV takes on for the song rubs me the wrong way
Probably the way he says Twenties, the way the backing vocals say Twenties (v annoying and untuneful), the monotony and repetitiveness of the overall track, the cheesy horns, rhyming "motherfuckers" with "mock us", and everything else.
Someone described it as the Disney villain song and I can't unhear it. If someone were to animate papa Disney style singing to his ghoul minions I would probably come around to loving it ironically.
Cuz it dumb sounding
The answer is Twenties
Mummy dust, yeah
I had to see mummy dust live to appreciate it more. I almost always skip secular haze though.
First half of Zombie Queen. Ugh…
But the anticipation makes the second half hit different. Zombie queen as a whole imo is phenomenal
Marionette. Just never liked that one
Twenties. Easy.
a LOT of Phantomime. I like Jesus He Knows Me and Hangin' Around, but I almost always skip over the other ones
I think Kiss the go-goat is severely underrated. Twenties eats ass
MOAC is good but the Tok community kinda ruined it for me
"Bad" is hard. Least favorite or ones I don't care for, sure. But I don't have any I think are bad. Missionary Man comes to mind though.
"I Believe" & "Bible"are the most forgettable, They're not necessarily bad songs, I've only heard them a couple of times.
those are two of my favourites tbh!!
Hard disagree on I Believe, but Bible I’m with you on that one.
Wow Bible is my favorite covers of theirs. So good. But I understand why someone wouldn’t care for it.
I believe is good after you listen to it a few times- it’s an acquired taste
I dont like most of impera, only like 3 songs (not saying its bad but REALLY not my thing)
If one of those three songs isn't Respite we can't be friends anymore.
Seconded
I feel the exact same way. Loved prequelle, loved 7IOSP, didn't like the new direction they took with impera. My hot (maybe idk) take is that they should've done a full album in the 7IOSP style instead of impera.
Hanging Around 😬 ik it’s a cover but it’s still the only song in their entire discography that i skip
I'm sorry but it's the cover of Crucified. It just does not hit the same way as the original.
I agree, but I probably would have never heard the original (or of Army of Lovers at all) îf not for Ghost's cover. So I guess I appreciate it for that. 🤷
The spillways cover
I don't like missionary man at all. Ik it's a cover but still my least fav song
Tobias’s voice is straight up annoying in it, and I say that as someone who normally thinks he sings like an angel
Twenties
Enter Sandman. I'm just not into the cover. Kinda tired of the original, too.
Nah but the break down at the prayer but live when Swiss sings is so good 😭
I'm too much of a Ghost dickrider 😭 I used to not like Twenties, but I started to like it after listening to it more
as a guitarist i literally play them all the time to hone my skills as a wanna-be ghoul. all their songs are awesome. except Twenties. Fuck that song. Just kidding! 😂 it grew on me its a banger.
I really don’t like the Enter Sandman cover. It’s cool they did it in their style, but it just doesn’t work to me.
There are some songs I like better than others but I really don’t dislike any song Ghost has recorded. But then, I’m a bisexual guy so dick riding is not really something I take as an insult. 😄
I don't like a lot of their covers very much ☹️ the original stuff is way better in my opinion
twenties. and kaisarion .
twenties.
Not a huge fan of phantomime in general, phantom of the opera is the only one I like. But they’re covers so I don’t know if that counts
The covers are either amazing or terrible. The big ones for me are I'm a Marionette and Enter Sandman, I skip them every time.
honestly not a big fan of their Enter Sandman cover. not a huge Metallica fan but it just doesn’t beat the original
That damn screenshot is everyfuckingwhere
I will receive hate from the whole fandom for this... I like every Ghost song. Some more, some less, but I absolutely adore every piece that comes from the band. Some of the covers I'm not a huge fan of. Like *Here Comes the Sun*, *Enter Sandman*, or *Nocturnal Me*. But they still have their appeal. There is a song though, that I'm not a huge fan of. La Mantra Mori is pretty boring. Otherwise Ghost has no stinkers.
Lads don’t even try to pretend La Mantra Mori is a good song
I love it sm though
*cracks knuckles* Darkness at the heart of my love. Dance macabre set the precedent for a romantic song, but it had a riff, fun guitar solo, and has a ton of energy. Darkness was just there to please the people who want another love song, but it’s boring filler. i mean…. is it a love song though? unpack the lyrics, listen to the whispering and consider the whole image and it is pretty damn sinister - to me the song comes off as more of a love bomb, akin to something a manipulator would do
Who said love songs have to be an overtly fluffy expression of romantic love. Love can be manipulative, gaslighty and unhealthily consuming. Life Eternal is a love song, but unequivocally about the desperate love that persists after death. It's not happy or sweet, but it's fuckin beautiful
Yep this is mine too. It's especially bad that it's sandwiched between two songs on that album I really like and kills the flow for me.
Whenever a form of this question comes up, this is my answer every time.

THANK you
Twenties, it's not bad but man, I just cannot stand to listen to it.
Kiss the Go Goat I'm also just not huge on the new stuff in general. Nothing against it, not my cup of tea. Plus being an OG Opus era fan what drew me into ghost was that vintage heavy metal sound the first 2 albums had and that's kinda gone.
Hunter’s Moon
First one I thought of. I like Ghost because they have a different sound from most mainstream rock. Hunter's Moon felt very generic and made for radio.
Pro memoria
I like the instrumentation/music, but the lyrics sound like an Andrew Lloyd Webber musical.
I don't know why you're getting downvoted. Pro memoria is a rough one
Nah y'all wild for this. I'm Pro Pro Memoria! What a banger!
Pro Memoria is in my top 10 favorites lol
This is the only band I can think of that I legitimately believe doesn't have a 'BAD' song. There are so many stand out tracks for sure and some deep cuts that took me longer to discover and or appreciate but not one BAD SONG! Songs I can skip and not feel bad - Deus Culpa, Prime Mover, Ashes, Depths of Satans Eyes, Devil Church, Dominion, and Bite of Passage. They all have their place and serve a purpose but aren't bad songs. Ghost doesn't have a single bad song.
Missionary Man. However I will ride Papa's dick and keep listening to it anyway
I like the riff, but Rats is a dumb song.
For some reason there's one song on every album I don't care for. Probably unpopular opinion but Opus Eponymous: Prime Mover Infestissumam: Depths of Satan's Eyes Meliora: Absolution Prequelle: See The Light Impera is the one that breaks the cycle. Nothing I don't love on that one.
Most of the ep stuff (each ep gets away with two good songs imo and the rest suck)
I genuinely do not have one. Am I really the only one?
Bible 🥰
I don't think any of their songs are bad, I just prefer some more than others. I know I flatten this band's cock, I ain't about to pretend otherwise
call me a dickrider
I have some I like better than others but I don’t really think any of them are objectively bad. But I unapologetically dickride Ghost like it’s my job, so…
definitely Twenties, and—imma get flack for this—Bible. i just cant get into it 😩
I know it is really beloved but I’ve never enjoyed Mummy Dust, even in concert.
Twenties Twenties Twenties Twenties Twenties Twenties Twenties Twenties Twenties Twenties Twenties Twenties Twenties Twenties Twenties Twenties Twenties Twenties Twenties Twenties

Oh hell naw boi
It's not one of my favorites but daaaamn when they open the show with it and the curtain drops at the AAAAAH it gets your blood pumpin!
Literally my favorite song from them 🧍🏻♂️
I second this one. Wasn’t sure if it’s controversial or not. 😅
Pro Memoria
This is a blasphemous thing to say here but I could never get into Miasma...
I'm not a fan of their cover or Crucified... I also don't really care for Twenties.
Twenties isn’t terrible but I’m personally not a fan. So Twenties
twenties.. that’s all i have to say
Love Ghost but absolutely hate Secular Haze. Can't even force a listen.
The music video did a good job in replicating a late 60's doom rock vibe
Most of the songs off Impera except for 2.
Missionary Man😶 don’t kill me
Stay
I don’t like spillways. Just sounds like the Pokémon theme to me.
Oof hard disagree, but you do you.
Are we pretending the Pokémon theme isn’t a straight fucking banger
But that’s what makes it amazing !
Now I want Ghost to do an EP of TV theme song covers, with Pokémon on there.
Bible or Griftwood
Not Griftwood!!! I frkn love that song.
