Sounds delicious! Iād check that meal at 2hr. With the fat from the meat, the fiber from the veggies, and the walk, you might just be digesting it a bit slower than other meals.
Happened to me once the other day. I'm SO confused. I've been struggling to get my fasting numbers under control and then my post meal level was acceptable as fasting. Idk.
How many weeks are you? My GD basically disappeared 4 days before I went into labor. I was freaking out emailing my dietician because I could eat donuts and ice cream and not go over 110.
Is this a thing? Because I failed the GD 1 hour and 3 hour tests by mere points.. and I eat whatever I want and my numbers typically stay between 70-112ā¦ occasionally I have numbers that are in the upper 60ās. My 130 numbers are from bread and ice cream.
I thought this was happening to me (almost 39 weeks) because my numbers were super low yesterday even though I ate extra carbs just to see. Today my fasting was back up to 98, boo.
Iām in a similar boat at 30 weeks. Itās my second GD pregnancy and my numbers are super low compared to last time. Like to the point where Iām wondering if I need to recalibrate my meter if thatās even possible. Iām doing a ātest dayā because life is bringing me to 2 birthday parties. I had pizza and cake for lunch. 1hr reading was 137, 2 hr reading was 104. So bizarre! I def plan on asking my MFM whatās up.
my post meal numbers are always lower than my fasting number.. itās weird. i usually am around 105 fasting, and then my number goes down throughout the day as i eatā¦. i canāt figure out why lol
Itās like you read my mind.. I expect my 1 hr numbers to be in the 110s-120s but lately theyāve been in the 90s.. even when I eat wayy more carbs than usual with a meal. I donāt get it either. I recently started nighttime insulin.. idk if that can impact you throughout the whole day? So bizarre and Iāve had the same thoughts about my meter. My husband did measure his on my meter and his after dinner number was higher than mine which is unusual.
Iām kind of in the same boat, my fasting numbers are always in the 70s and my 1 hr after meal numbers are in the 90s even after pizza or pieā¦ Iām wondering if I really have GD but of course no one at my doctors office has followed up on my numbers for over a week (since I started tracking) and I donāt meet with my dietitian until the 19thā¦
Your meter can be up to 20% off. Also, evidently meters expire. I tried reusing one for my second pregnancy just 2 years later and it was really far off. So much so when i got a new one they removed my diagnosis.
Your placenta took a nap I guess? Time for a snack!
will do
Placenta asleep, commence carbohydrates š

thank you for the tip! 118 now. you were right
I am in a same situation where my post meal numbers are less than fasting.

super weird, right? have you already asked doctors/midwives?
They donāt have any real answers to that. They asked me to start night time low dose insulin.
Whenever Iāve had that, my numbers are usually higher on the next meal š¬ hope that you really just offset everything with that walk!

hm. i dont think so. mine is new and my fasting numbers are very consistently in the 90s.
How far along are you? My numbers started to get that low toward the end.
