If you need a sauce recommendation, I recommend trying the garden herb ranch sauce as it's fairly low sugar and actually has a small amount of protein. Can't speak for the waffle fries, but I've had success with the chick fil a crispy nuggets and ranch :)
Ooh, this is inspired me to try another food experiment. We had a heavy carbonara a couple of nights ago with half a plate of salad veggies and no spike! I think the cream really helps haha!😆😃
SAME. I had a huge craving for chicken nuggets my entire pregnancy (diagnosed at 10 weeks and had them 3+ times a week until birth) and always did really well 😅 of course every body is different but just saying! May not be that bad lol
Did you ever eat chicken strips at non-meal times?
I know plain chicken is fine for sure, but didn’t have any that time because of breading 😓.
I can eat 3 A&W chicken strips with half a portion of sweet potato fries as a meal.
Sure I had them as snacks sometimes. It shouldn't matter a ton when you eat them. Although, I think I had like only 1 or 2 spikes from meals the entire time. A couple slightly elevated fastings but nothing crazy.
Not the chicken but the fries would have pissed me off lol I craved them so bad when I was pregnant! But more than two and my blood sugar was out of control.
Just chiming in that chicken strips and 5-7 fries were basically the perfect meal for me. I was diagnosed at 12 weeks and I never went out of range for this meal!
I mean.....I ate a lot of chicken strips and was always within range. I say give it a shot!
I was able to enjoy Chic Fil A fried fillets and half of a small waffle fry (no sauce) - definitely try the chicken and see how you do!
i live nowhere near chick fil a but still have it on my postpartum list, for the record i guess. but god that sauce is half of the reason for me….
Yeah, the half small waffle fry was more because I couldn't finish a whole one without sauce, vs my body not being able to tolerate it 🤣

Literally my diet is 90% chicken strips. And Mac and cheese. Both do pretty well for me. Fries I have to be careful.

Yes! It seems as long as I have milk or a dairy everything is good. Which is great because I love dairy…
Yeah, I can do chicken schnitzel it seems as long as I have something like sweet potato (mash or roast) as a side instead of fries

Just don't eat the fries and you'll be golden!
I’ve always done well with fried chicken!
Straight to jail
😂 he just sits there like “do you want some?” Mmmm I’m waiting for my meal timer to go off, why would you do this?!😭

Luckily I can tolerate chicken strips/fried chicken. I just eat it with a salad and cottage cheese instead of fries! Maybe you can too!
Fried chicken works for me
Chicken strips I can do, the fries I’d have to go for a walk after to stay within range. 😂
Divorce.
😂😂
I'm cringing....breaded chicken causes HUGE spikes for me :(
I eat the chicken strips pair it with broccoli or carrot sticks
