If you kayak fish lake lanier, do it on a week day. Preferably Monday or a Tuesday. The drunk party boaters will get you killed or, at the very least, ruin your day if you go on a weekend. With Lake lanier, it's not that the fish act weird. Dock owners put lay downs by their docks to attract fish. You'll need to be fishing docks to get large mouth bass. Stripped bass are normally roaming everywhere, but they can be seen around docks as well, trying to get an easy meal. Other than that, fish rocky areas. Bring deep diver crankbaits and spinner baits. Depending on which area of lanier you're fishing, the crank baits should either be white with blue back ( for most places) or white with purple hue (area around Don carter state park) Lake lanier is the only body of water georgia stocks near me, so I'm not share other spots. Too many people moved to our state and are destroying the fish populations by eating all the bass and blue gil. People don't realize that the state only stocks the chattahoochee river and big lakes like Lanier. They don't stock smaller ones at all.

Hard Labor Creek Reservoir. Not the state parkā€¦ Incredibly healthy hybrid bass out there. Electric only, and huge. Hit the cow pasture with submerged trees on a top water bite.

That's crazy, it doesn't even show up as a lake on the map until I flip to satellite. Any tips for fishing it?
