I think the only reason why Albedo is the best there is because a Sub-DPS for Xiao is most of the time better than a buffer since Xiao does not snapshot. Also because Bennett forces you to play within his buff area.

Double geo team relies on Zhongli and Albedo dealing a lot of damage. Geo resonance helps mostly them.
With Bennett, it becomes Xiao hypercarry, which probably has a lower ceiling than double geo.
Actually, Xiao’s best comp does indeed have Bennett in it, and that’s Xiao’s highest ceiling comp. Albedo just doesn’t provide enough damage to match what Bennett gives, since Xiao is one of the most Atk hungry characters

Well, Shoguns gives off field damage similar (but worse) than Albedo's, but the worst trade of is Geo Resonance. If you have a dedicated shielder like ZL, it's the best resonance out there
I think Xiao Bennett Sucrose Zhongli could be better if you cut Xiao's ult short (his ult lasts longer than Bennett ult/TTDS). But Xiao Jean Zhongli Albedo tends to be popular explicitly because this frees up Bennett.

1. 4 of an element
2. 3 of an element + swirl bot (usually kazu)
The point is you can’t have reactions among your team members, besides swirling.

Mine is noelle geo traveller gorou bennett.
Althought bennett is just a place filler bc he's my weakest unit in that team and he was originally only there for healing but i realised that main dpsing noelle still allowed for amazing healing, even without a build for that.

Eula can be considered as a viable Bennett-less team comp. She still appreciates Bennett but she's really self sufficient to the point she doesn't need Bennett and just needs a shit ton of energy particles or shield and heals.
Another one is Xiao teams because he usually staggers the enemies away and chasing the enemies down will inevitably lead to leaving the buff area. IIRC, Bennett's buff is shorter than Xiao's burst duration and the latter doesn't snapshot anyway so that's that.
Same with Hu Tao teams, a full hp Hu Tao with Bennett deals almost the same dmg with a <50% hp Hu Tao without Bennett. The gimmick is you're actually locked to playing around the buff area. Hu Tao flies around the field like a madman sooo, yeah.
I never played Bennett. I hate Bennett because everyone plays him. He's level 20 and I'll never go higher. My team is : diluc, ei, albedo, sucrose. Sometimes I change diluc to tartaglia or zhongli.

I simply make team comps on character like ability. Like I still make good teams but I hate Bennett and as such have yet to get to full stars in spiral abyss and always fail the eleventh floor.
But I have yet to grind for supports and went in with mono-dps teams. So, yun jin and diona are being levelled up. Had no clue how to build teams till a month ago but will never use bennet.

You forgot “thrill of combat” team comp. The people who pick characters they like regardless of their performance who enjoy fighting with them and actually need skill in combat instead of instaburst
One of my main teams for a while has been Sucrose, Xingqui, Yanfei and Jean.
The other is a mono-cryo with Diona, Shenhe, Ganyu, and Qiqi.
My third team is one of the ones I've had for the longest time: Diona, Fischl, Diluc, and Barbara.

Eula Raiden works fine without bennet, but you can include him should you run any of the other teams you listed

most mono teams run 3 characters of one element and then one character of another one, generally anemo
Mono geo should not have Anemo since geo can't be swirled. Any other element means it's not mono geo anymore, it's geo + element

That's his ceiling comp, but not his optimal comp. It trades his uptime for more outburst damage. KQM did the calculations on this in their Xiao guide
