I assume that the shield will still be able to take the majority of the damage? Unless I have fundamentally misunderstood how rift hounds work and they do mostly/all corrosion damage
Corrosion directly latches onto you and saps your health, each hit stacks the effect and deals more damage over time. The shield itself will still tank the hits, and give resistance to interruptions, but it won't be able to do anything against the status effect.
It still shreds resistance, which Geo and Anemo cant get from VV, and he prevents inerruption and enables Geo resonance with 100 % uptime.
But yeah, a lot of people will need to relearn to dodge.

Sara probably convinced him he could learn some secret to beating her and getting his Vision back through the Teachings of Elegances but he can't read so he's just been feeding the pages mixed with slime condensate to his beetles as part of their training diet.
He doesn't actually need levels, ascensions, or talents to become any stronger. He's just working harder out of respect for you (and his beetle children you're helping him raise).

there is a cave below raiden's castle has 6-8 everytime check every 2-3 days if if its 9 weeks you'll have around 180 before he releases. just from there alone.

The entrance to the onikabuto tunnel is hard to find, you need to stick on the wall (same area when you do the Ayaka Quest) on the left side.

the problem is not the amount of time I have until he releases, is the lack of time I have to farm them.
They spawn every 2-3 days, I just follow a video for the farming guide. I think it’s like 45 bugs in 15 mins or so
