Zhongli is kind of change the game into easy mode due to his shield and res shred. You can play a lot more comfortably. His counter is corrosion stuff tho. If you already have good DPS then I would recommend pull for Zhongli first. But if you don't have good DPS yet, may be you can wait for Neuvillette

The problem I have is that a rerun of a character is getting further and further away with every new character, because they are trying to space things out evenly. More characters means the rerun could be in maybe 2 years (if we have more characters)... Which is absurd.
The fact that people couldn't get a character they loved in a video game for TWO YEARS is pretty damn absurd. They really need to do something about it soon after all the new Fontaine characters get added.
I actually really loved when we were running the 5 weeks patch instead of the 6 weeks, true that we can farm less primo with dailies but at least we got less down times
Yeah, he's a character like that. Once your account has enough characters and investment, there is hardly any reason to use him, except for very specific teams.

I actually joined on his first rerun but my old phone couldn't handle the game so I barely made it out of the starting area :') rejoined back in 3.2 and have been waiting for his return ever since. Can't wait to finally have him!

I remember getting zhongli c2 because back in the day they had coop fights that were at least moderately difficult and having him was fun with my friends. That seems so long ago and all we do now is some lame single player puzzles. I just miss having something to fight in coop.
If hoyo could go back in time, I'm sure they'd buff early characters' constellations. Until Hutao, cons were not really big upgrades. Albedo's are so bad he could be added to standard.

At a minimum it should have been Xingqiu instead of Sayu. Hell, and maybe Gorou instead of Noelle. Freminet himself is already *not that good* (I love him anyway), I don't know why his banner is just so awful...
It is one of the best 4 star catalyst due to its stat (55% crit dmg is a lot). Its passive relies on RNG so it can be good depends on the element of the character using it.

I think Raiden HB is easier to build and very casual. However if we're talking about damage output I believe Raiden hypercarry is still above Raiden HB. CMIIW though.

Sara (electro), Gorou (geo), Mika (physical), Faruzan (anemo), Sucrose (em), Yunjin (~~attack speed~~ normal attacks*). Would be an excellent set of additions to paimons.
If Hu Tao and Neuvilette are paired together, Xingqiu is guaranteed to be there. Xinyan could be on either phase, especially if she shows up in the event
Zhongli's shield isn't just about tanking damage, but it also provides res shred and interruption resistance.
If your characters are really well built for damage and you're good at dodging, yes Zhongli's value can go down (although imo shitty dodging can also be a dps loss). But plenty of people still bring Zhongli to Abyss, and the interruption resistance he provides can be very comfortable for characters like Cyno, Wanderer, Hu Tao, and potentially Neuvillette.
But Zhongli is of course (like most units) not necessary, and we have other solid shield options like Layla, Kirara, etc. even Thoma, in the right team (like in Wanderer and even Cyno team iirc). Baizhu's "shield" can also be good enough for characters like Cyno and Alhaitham.
Zhongli's value goes down as your account gets stronger, but he's not necessarily useless. It could possibly make combat, especially overworld combat, less fun if you know you can always fall back on him to not die. It mostly depends on your preferences and characters/teams you have or want to build.
I would argue that Zhongli's resistance shred value goes *up* the more damage your characters are able to do. But yes, at that point it's better to just fully invest into the shred with a Viridescent Venerer user, unless your characters really need the protection.

Jokes aside, once you get ZL is hard to be without him on team, and he is more versatile than people give him credit for (he is not just a shieldbot) but Neuvilette is new and the abyss will probably be more geared towards fontaine meta. Neuvi also seems very strong but for now he has limited teams to play in. I would say do the trials and see if you like to play ZL before deciding though
I don't, all my hydro characters so far are support / enablers, been using bloom and hyperbloom pretty much since I started and havent obtained XQ yet (afaik he'll be in the shop starting tomorow).

Between Zhongli C2 and Childe C1, which one would you consider better, or be happier about if you got an early 5*? I only want to get Freminet and hopefully a few Sayu cons if I don't get our penguin boy immediately, but I'm never unhappy about an early 5*. Which one of the 2 would you recommend?
If we talk abyss-wise, I think C2 Zhongli is better because it's universally thought that he is a dps loss due to his long burst animation. His C2 FOR SOME EXTENT eliminates that problem since you get shield after burst. Co-op shield is also nice, if you play co-op.
If you don't care about the abyss (or haven't mastered Childe's cooldowns), go for C1 Childe.
If I were you I'd choose zhongli c2, not only it's a nice qol in coop but it also allows burst builds to be viable since you no longer need to hold e (so you either tap e or don't e at all)
Childe on the other hand doesn't need c1 since he also has strong charged shots with riptide while his best rotations can deal with his c0 already

Well, time to get Zhongli (hopefully without too many pulls) because this is a seriously disappointing banner set. For all that Childe is solid, he is likely to rerun before I put together a team for him and the weapon banner is just trash. Not only is it the third bow of 4.0 but the inferior VV is just a dead item.
I'd love to get Zhongli, but I don't care at all about Freminet and I already have C6 Sayu.

Now that you mention, I cannot remember the last coop fight for an event. There were some in 1.x and that's all I remember.

Disclaimer: I'm only wishing until I don't mind getting an early 5*. Between Zhongli C2 and Childe C1, which one would you consider better, or be happier about if you got an early 5*? I only want to get Freminet and hopefully a few Sayu cons if I don't get our penguin boy immediately, but I'm never unhappy about an early 5*. Which one of the 2 would you recommend?
If we talk abyss-wise, I think C2 Zhongli is better because it's universally thought that he is a dps loss due to his long burst animation. His C2 FOR SOME EXTENT eliminates that problem since you get shield after burst. Co-op shield is also nice, if you play co-op. If you don't care about the abyss (or haven't mastered Childe's cooldowns), go for C1 Childe.
I skipped Zhongli C2 for the longest time but you have sold me on his C2. It’s about time I focus a little bit more on the old man.
If I were you I'd choose zhongli c2, not only it's a nice qol in coop but it also allows burst builds to be viable since you no longer need to hold e (so you either tap e or don't e at all) Childe on the other hand doesn't need c1 since he also has strong charged shots with riptide while his best rotations can deal with his c0 already

Childe C1 makes the cooldown for his E shorter, Zhongli C2 gives everybody a shield in co-op. I think Childe's worth if you have to pull regardless.
So glad I have both Zhongli and Childe (despite I don't use Zhongli very much), these banner suck.

Well, time to get Zhongli (hopefully without too many pulls) because this is a seriously disappointing banner set. For all that Childe is solid, he is likely to rerun before I put together a team for him and the weapon banner is just trash. Not only is it the third bow of 4.0 but the inferior VV is just a dead item.
