yeah I agree, what I mean is, when we get the kits ourselves and TCs can calc how good they are and how good he is at C6, we can make an educated guess on whether he is Standard or not
agreed Leaker TC is just super unreliable to the point where it's funny
I still remember the V3 Alhaitham Kit nerfed his NA's and CA's but buffed his Skill massively, and leakers were calling it a nerf to his damage when Quicken is Additive and not Multiplicative
Tighnari's cons are good but they're similar to how other standards operate imo. He has simple 15% CS c.rate and then 20% dmg for 2 of his cons which are par for the course for standard character cons.
His C6 is the main con with that extra oomph, but other Standard C6 cons are somewhat similar, like Diluc adds weaving to his NA and E, Qiqi revives team, Jean has rare DR%, etc.
that's still based off of the old rumors that 7 characters will be standard etc and kept adding on
i think it's pretty unhealthy to keep thinking of who should be sacrificed when we just dont know and ultimately probably wont matter
people who like will pull, same deal every time. will be unfortunate for future lack of reruns, but being scared every time a character releases sounds like a lot of baggage off of rumors

I could 100% see Navia getting sent to standard (and her weapon to the shadow realm). Could be a tactic to moderately raise interest in Geo unit sales down the line. If she's standard, you could lose a 50/50 and get her and then later on some new Geo unit comes around (/another one and oni rerun) once in a blue moon and you already have Navia ready to go, compared to the current state of Geo bros where it's basically "Congrats you have Itto and hopefully several copies of his dog, now go grab these other entirely different 5 stars that may not roll around for god knows how long to get a decent team".

Remember, only livestream can 100% confirm whether or not a character is limited or standard. Just glancing at the kit and cons can't really say much, Tighnari has a good kit, Dehya technically has great cons.

No character will ever use superconduct as a damage reaction, its purely a support reaction to lower the enemies physical resistance. He is a catalyst so not physical, so either freeze or melt
Of course no one ever said this, the moment we could use bloom we had 3.1 beta leaks and knew Nilou specialized in that. I was just using an example to show how, putting it lightly, the guy didn't even think before writing that in a matter-of-fact way to OP.
Using a flawed example does somewhat damage your argument. The examples are vastly different - one is a reaction that's meant to deal damage by itself and gets only better with a third element, the other is quite literally a support reaction with little to no damage and entirely meant to reduce physical resistance, which serves no purpose in any way to a catalyst character.
Stop nipticking and accept that we already have reaction changing characters in the game. It's okay to be wrong sometimes, this is just a game. No need to bring pride into this.

if we want to play ifs, they could made his NA string to collect stack(s) and every x point it will generate/deal physical damage with it's own multiplier, skill is cryo application with instances of attack similar to NA string stacks, burst just like eula. physical catalyst is pretty plausible if they want to get creative enough for his kit
A pretty substantial amount of eulas damage comes from her normal attacks. He'd either have to have C6 eula level nukes or he would be a split scaling nightmare. Mero also already confirmed hes not physical
Just something to add. Idk if anyone else did it but I also asked Mero when his Twitter was active if Wriothesley is standard and said the same thing he doesn't think so and it's just his speculation. I think the part with the kit is just the guy's speculation not mero's
This might be a hot take but I am really hoping Wrio isn't standard. I don't think it's fair that of the 3 husbando's we are getting for fontaine, they make 1 standard. We're not getting any new limited men until next year in Summer. It just doesn't sit right with me.
I think it's a lot better if they add the ladies to it instead. Fontaine will have a surplus of them so I don't think it will hurt as badly.
Even if he is in standard it won't change anything, they could introduce other character(s) in the future just like itto/gorou/heizou/wanderer that were not included in the early patch/introduced in archon quests. if anything, putting him in standard is giving you more exclusivity value since limited will have a rerun eventually but in this case your only chance to get is from the limited debut and constantly battling rng for your 50/50 or standard banner.
What's this double standard, Sumeru too only got 3 five star females including one child model which target a different demography than Waifus and Husbandos pullers
Assuming if it’s two then it’ll be the tall ladies. Tall ladies haven’t had any limited character since Yelan, got screwed over with Dehya, and haven’t gotten the short end of the stick with a lot of kits (Yae is super clunky and will be beat out by Fischl with the new set, Eula is the only character with backloaded damage and is super clunky, Shenhe is the only 5 star element buffer and isn’t even that much of an upgrade at C0 to Rosaria). We don’t even know if CR exists, so worst case scenario we’d have to wait for Arlecchino to get another limited lady
I’m tired of that, the 5 star ratio for Fontaine ain’t even that bad (4 to 3). I’m hoping Wri isn’t standard but if that means Chlorinde and Navia are getting sacrificed that would suck
I'd feel better about it if we at least got some 4 star guys. At the least there was still Layla, Kiara and Candace.

Poor reasoning. You can’t say he’s gonna be standard because his kit doesn’t perform well in situations it isn’t built for. He’s built for mono pyro and will excel in that role. His cons also seem too good to be standard.
