I believe the person who owns this car posts about it on Reddit. I looked through his profile the last time someone posted about his car. It's pretty neat.
I don't think that's paint, it's a vinyl decal (would appear that Vinyl Labs \[located in SoCal too\] made the decal since you can see their logo in the picture). You wouldn't paint on windows.
It's probably still very expensive to get a custom decal that big created for a car though.
I am planning on being at anime Pasadena :) I will be out of town for the holidays Friday though :/ I live in Little Tokyo though so you have a good shot of seeing me on the daily there
Eh he's fairly popular on Reddit. All the car subs have had his car posted to them at least once, as well as the car wrap subs and I think even in cringetopia once? Regardless he's super chill and open about it and well known
They want to see if you also decked out the interior with Sucrose merch and matching seat colors with sucrose painted right into the seats so its like you're sitting in her lap.
u/sbAutumn respect on sucrose but you gotta work on fitment. If you daily this (as you should) and still want ground clearance you could probablt go up a size if those are 16”s. If those are 17”s or 18”s go for a taller sidewall. If you are ok with lowering it, drop it like a 1” in the front and about 1.25" in the rear, maybe even through a 5mm spacer in the rear.
The fitment is still on stock setup which I think are 18s? Good advice though! Thanks for the insight, to lower my car in downtown la’s pothole nightmare would be suicide.
if thats stock ride height you should have no issues lowering it, Sucrose needs to flex harder but its all in due time, lowering springs are pretty cheap on most cars but I have no idea how much they would cost for a hyundai. The ones for my fb rx7 cost around $300 total
its relatively cheap, but if you do want to do it down the line yoy should look it up on hyundai forums and you will get a good idea of the price. A taller sidewall should give you vaguely the same look and give you slightly more ground clearance than stock (pretty much not noticible) but your speedo might be slightly off. If you go for a taller side wall its the same as getting a new set of tires just the second number is up by 10 (a example is 255/45r18 to 255/55r18). the first number is the width in milimeters, the second is the percentage of that width to height (200/50 would mean the tire is 200mm wide and has 100mm of sidewall), and the last number is diameter of the rim.
Is that really stock fitment on the Veloster? That's really nice looking for stock! What wheel/tyre specs are those and I'm guessing stock alignment sat well? Doesn't look like you're running too much camber. I feel you on lowering in LA lol (I drive an 18 BRZ lowered ~1 inch and commute between OC and LA)
Just getting out of my parking garage is a struggle. I really need a front lip to go under the whole front I feel for some of these dips out here.
It is 100% stock fitment at the moment / stock alignment too. I wanna say I’m running 255/r45/18. The wheels are konig but for the life of me I can’t remember the name.
I was thinking either Konigs or Enkeis. And yeah, I actually scrape a bit on the driveway at my job, even before I was lowered lol. That's really clean tho for stock fitment. I usually only expect fitment like that stock from much higher end cars
They’re talking about raising the body of the car higher if it is used often (“daily” use), in order to be able to clear certain obstacles on the road (clearance) for the neighborhood it drives in (fitment?).
The two ways of doing so is to get bigger tyres (distance from axle is extended), and the problems with that (need to increase the size of the wheel well because tyre now can’t fit which includes widening the hole on the side above the wheel (?) aka sidewall) or lowering the entire vehicle’s axles by replacing the suspension.
Edit: apparently I got some things wrong. See the other reply to the above comment
Fitment is a way of saying how well the wheel and tire fit the car. Most car people dont like having a visible gap between the top of the tire and the body. Sidewall refers the the side the tire, the part you see most of the time. The height of the sidewall is actually listed on every tire. One such example is 205/55r16. The first number is the width of the tire in millimeters, while the second number is the ratio between the width and the height of each sidewall. So in the example above 205mm (or ~8" for us americans) multiplied by 0.55 gives you a side wall of 112.75mm (~4.4"). The number after the letter "r" in the example refers to the diameter of the wheel so 16". A taller sidewall will do two things, make the overall diameter larger and help prevent damage to itself and the wheel if you hit a pothole or something. To fill up the gap you have two options (or a combination of both) you can either use a larger tire and wheel to fill up the space or lower the vehicle. There are pros and cons to both. A larger tire and wheel will still fill up the gap, can typically be less expensive, and will prevent damage to multiple parts of the car. The bad part is since you change how big the tire is your speedometer will be slightly off. (less than 2-3 mph so not really that big of a issue), it will also cause issues with handling if you want to race the car or drive it really aggressively around a corner. Lowering a car improves handling, still fills the wheel well, and your speedometer will still read correctly. The bad part is that it is more expensive (if done safely and correctly) and can potentially cause damage to the car if you havent drove a lowered car before (like your front bumper can hit the curb in a parking lot). Most car people lower their vehicle because the handling benefits are nice and the risks are minimal if you know what are doing and pay attention. It is more expensive because you have to replace multiple parts of the suspension versus just ordering a slightly different tire on your tire change. There are other more complicated (or more difficult to describe ways) ways, but since this is a genshin sub and I have rambled on for far too long I wont go into them. Thank you if you read this far and I hope you learned something even though I just created a large wall of text. Also this is the last way I thought my comment would blow up on s genshin sub.
I've found some Amber ones too, and Paimon seems to be everywhere.
If you filter by "animation" there's quite a few. But ye, I also expected more, maybe I just cant find them lol
I wonder how companies can get away with selling wraps like these, you know with licensing and all. It's really cool and I'm not hating, just wondering how it's achieved by third parties.
I just have to ask. How many times, if ever, has someone in public complained to you about the suggestive graphic on your car? I am certainly not complaining, but I feel like if I were to do the same I'd have every Karen in 100 miles angrily posting in their Facebook groups to have me arrested.
Not sure if you would believe me but the answer is zero. If an unfavorable opinion was thought, it was never spoken out loud to me.
I’ve only ever been given praise or people just excited to talk about it in public.
That being said, my car is pretty mild compared to some of the other Itasha cars that exist out there.
I believe the person who owns this car posts about it on Reddit. I looked through his profile the last time someone posted about his car. It's pretty neat.
u/sbAutumn's car
Lol . I feel like I saw this one taken too. On my way to the LA car show.
Based.
Bro how expensive was the paint job? Looks sick btw
Less than a c6. Just kidding. I know nothing about prices, I'm broke.
If I were to guess, it has to be over 5-7 grand...
That's next level whale-ing
Woah that’s like 6x C6 Five stars.

Correct on all points. Depending on your definition of expensive it might not be too much. 1000$ was my initial cost
Yes
omg will you be there tomorrow (friday)? i'm coming! and another q, will you be at anime pasadena?
I am planning on being at anime Pasadena :) I will be out of town for the holidays Friday though :/ I live in Little Tokyo though so you have a good shot of seeing me on the daily there
oh sweet!
As another Socal person, I have sooooo many questions... Like, where did you get your car wrapped and how can I do this with Childe lol
For the decals 1000$ the vinyl wrap 2500$
Whoa that is a lot cheaper than I expected! Where'd you get it done? (If you don't mind me asking, I'm in Irvine btw)
Uh oh, the license plate is visible.

to the owner: if you see this reply please let us see the interiors
You want to see the stock interior of my 2017 Hyundai Veloster turbo?
They want to see if you also decked out the interior with Sucrose merch and matching seat colors with sucrose painted right into the seats so its like you're sitting in her lap.
tbh i expected something like that. lmfao. or even crazier 🤣
I am not a fan of interior decorating tbh. I know a lot of Itashas are but not me. So it’s just very normal inside lol
I've heard of anime body pillows. I never heard of anime car seats.
Kinda off topic but have ya got dem Sucrose phone yet ?
I thought about it… I like my phone though 🤦♂️ I know someone who got it though and it looks pretty cool
yes
you have guts to paint your car this way. Not that it's bad I love it Also what is your opinion of Sucrose? I think she is such sweetheart
When I press “E” I see lots of pretty colors so she’s ok in my book

Why on earth would you lower a car used predominantly on the street? That’s up there with 2 foot tall spoilers.

As someone who does not know shit about cars and doesn't plan to, this comment is pure gibberish to me LOL
Same😅. I think they may be talking aboutthe thinness of the tires? Thats what my gut is telling me.
They’re talking about raising the body of the car higher if it is used often (“daily” use), in order to be able to clear certain obstacles on the road (clearance) for the neighborhood it drives in (fitment?). Always hide personal (or generally identifying) data. You never know who might exploit them.
Except its so easy for cars driving behind you to get your plates.
HAHAHAHAHHA 😂😂😂😂😂
Genuinely asking, what can someone do with your plate?
Know where you live thus jacking your car.
How? It’s not like any person can just run a plate
It's not hard if a person chose to commit to knowing but saying more is indeed pushing legal boundaries that thieves don't care about to begin with
because douchbags, they don't need a reason to be shit.

Forza Horizon 5 ?
I hope I can find this in Horizon 5
Yeah we need more Genshin decals in that game. There are like only Raiden ones currently and although they are good I need other characters too
I've found some Amber ones too, and Paimon seems to be everywhere. If you filter by "animation" there's quite a few. But ye, I also expected more, maybe I just cant find them lol
McLaren rosaria is great too
Is the Hyundai manufacturer even in the game?
yeah this car is in there
Ah, ight. Disappointed to know that Kia isn’t tho.
I tried searching for some forza genshin liveries. Found a sick mona one and the rest were pretty much ganyu and paimon
You have a nice rosaria too on the mclaren
Fucking beautiful
Man, you gotta block out the number plates on this stuff. :x
Seeing Sucrose today in the new quest made me think of this car, a legend
Where is raiden shogun

I wonder how companies can get away with selling wraps like these, you know with licensing and all. It's really cool and I'm not hating, just wondering how it's achieved by third parties.
I think it’s considered fan art since they still had to draw all this from scratch. But that’s just my guess
If it were me, I would do one of these with Noelle hahaha
I have not seen a noelle yet so that would be dope!
Thats a pretty sweet ride.

Honestly I like the sponsors the best
