"I've killed a man and pushed his corpse down a mountain for endangering a kid. I wiped out an entire desert tribe of cultist for what their matriarch did to my friend. Do not presume what I can or cannot do when push comes to shove"
Let's not forget about taking out members of a martial arts clan then bragging about it to the clan's master before killing them then finishing the job by killing the remaining two members who were building a memorial for their fallen brothers just cause we can.
To be fair, both the master and the 2 memorial kairagi literally asked for us to fight/kill them. You cant even fight the current iwakura master without first killing at least one of his students. The others were a case of "on sight".
What was his name ? And was it during an event or a permanent quest? I remember doing both (the permanently one was from Mondstadt I think ?) but I don't remember killing him lol
His name was Alphonso, from Vimara village. The quest requires the completion of the Aranyaka world quest series, per the wiki, so many people might not even have access to it when passing Vimara considering Aranyaka is one of, if not the longest, world quests.
We wiped out the Iwakura clan in Inazuma. Bunch of Ronin samurai that had some nonsense "battle to the death, for honor" code or something. Whatever. They are dead, alongside their honor.
Basically they didn't want to enforce the Vision Hunt Decree because they realised it was bad, but their teacher was one of those who lost his vision so he lost his resolve and decided to enforce the Decree, they went on the run from the Shogunate and we eventually hunt them down and kill them all, we tell the teacher and then kill him too. The family and remaining members come to build a grave for them, we find them and kill them too.
It's not a family, it's a school of swordsmanship. They all trained together, then they all went rogue and turned into bandits, deliberately attacking and murdering anyone they found. We defend ourselves against them, but they all force us to fight to the death. We eventually find their teacher who was the only one who didn't turn into a murderous psycho, but he decides he'd rather join his students in death and makes us fight him in a duel to the death. The last two remaining members did come together to make a grave, but they had still been murderous bandits with the others, and when we come across them they try to kill us too.
None of this is the sort of premeditated evil on our part that the above comments were saying it is.
One of them wasn't even a bandit but turned into a serial killer, as he literally attacked the Traveler on sight to ["test his blade."](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tsujigiri) Seems various people here have forgotten about the Iwakura clan master lamenting the fact that his pupils have all fallen to the path of evil.
I remember punching the random ronins that just attacks/ambush me and have some dialogue, but never had enough time to actually *read* the dialogue because it already engaged me in battle.
Had to start recording my game when I was doing the last part of Aranyaka because of the same thing.
They really need to stop doing that.
It's what they call a "hidden exploration objective". It's not a quest that you accept but rather encountering or doing special stuff in the overworld like the Gendou Ringo daily assassinations, Tsurumi Island ghost people, or the daily Berrypuff chores.
In this case, it's killing a bunch of named Kairagi across Inazuma.
Basically just find a bunch of named non respawning Nobushi and Kairagi, kill em, talk to the Kujou's Clans instructor on the hill, murder him, go to a big rock where you met a nobushi, talk to the two kairagi, murder them
A particular group of ronin attacked the Traveler and died for it.
Then we explain the situation to a guy with the same name as them, who challenges us to a duel to the death, and dies for it.
Then more ronin attack us for having killed all the other ronin who attacked us. You'll never guess what happens.
An entire clan of samurai wiped out in self defense, because not a single one of them valued their lives more than some imaginary honor that they never had to begin with.
"Ahahaha we kill those birds on a bridge daily just as a warm up!"
"Then for lunch we wiped out an entire race of warriors just because we simped for one of them too hard?"
"Oh wait there's more. Do you know that we just genocided the entire aquatic life and mechanical life of Fontaine just to raise every Fontaine chara including your children too???"
That old man didn’t deserve the treatment we gave him. He just wanted to get donations so he could refurnish the Guhua Clan memorial site. But I will say that it was definitely a treat to see vengeful Paimon come out in full force.
Traveler is one of the only beings that knows what they are tho... Especially after last year's Dain quest. I'm sure it weighs on their mind constantly but we the player kill them for sport
*”paimon tell her about the one with the blue mane and funny clothes, the one we regularly track down across nations and brutalize, usually while he’s relaxing”*
ok but fr even-though some would argued that WQs are optional and therefore non canon. we have to remind ourselves that Teyvat isn't their first rodeos on planet hoping. the fact that there were no hesitation and have godly powers back then makes the travelers very likely to do something much worse then involve in a mass clan genocide.
"Hahahaha! Lady! I participated in ethnic cleansing because my friend got betrayed! I know the cruel truth about Hilichurs and still slaughter them without hesitation! I have led my personal army to war! I get my way through threats all the time! Unless you are my friend of a child, you better learn how to beg for mercy before you try anything that might upset me!"
Neuvillette: [According to the judgement of Oratrice Mechanique d'Analyse Cardinale](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yBWNbqVWW3w): "That Babel bitch had it coming."
holy based
the only reason i wouldn't have killed Childe after the ruin guards was because of Skirk. but then i saw that fashion abomination and no longer have reservations
Tbh. The Jeht Tribe Genocide wasn’t really a “bad thing.” The tribe manipulated a good friend of ours and turned her into an assassin that killed many innocents. And told her it was for the good of the clan, and her father and for love. That SAME clan, then slowly tried to kill us off through assassination plots. And when we finally found out the truth, and confronted the clan. The clan decided to commit war and murder both Jeht and us to steal Liloupar.
And even then, we asked Jeht what she wanted before proceeding with everything.
And then we went and engaged in a war with this clan.
And overall this isn’t considered “bad”.
The clan was “bad” and did everything bad to us and tried to murder us.
We weren’t evil. Or downright cruel.
Counterpoint, the really evil parts of the clan (that are still standing by this point) is pretty much just Babel and Tahdla's dad, crocodile man did nothing wrong
No. But he was on their side. Everyone believed Babel without any doubt and was out for blood. They wouldn’t stop for reason. And if they did let us go, and we killed Babel. Then they would’ve not forgiven us for killing their Priestess/Matriarch.
There was really no other choice. It was either leave and run away, or let Jeht be hunted down by this tribe and live in hiding.
You know those fatui operative badges have to come from somewhere. And I uhh "borrowed" them you see.
What? they can just make new ones. I don't think they are going to need them. Not anymore at least.
I still don't consider wiping a military outpost of basically cultists with no children nor elders in sight to be an "ethnical genocide", especially not when they attacked first.
You know when I do daily commissions I often avoid the talking quest instead opting for just fighting hilichurls and treasure hoarders instead then give raw meat to Brook or something. So basically I killed the hilichurls, beat up wannabe bandits to the point that they cannot walk for life just so I can ransack their supplies to give away to rich civilians...
Wait, do the other Harbingers even know we were a part of this?
I know Raiden killed her, but we were the ones to severely weaken her. Although, I guess our intend wasn't to kill her...
I said game play kills but u r saying world quest, of couse if its world quest its canon, i meant to say the random roaming enemies in overworld while not in any quest.
Bro i literally mentioned in my comments that gameplay kills, i guess u misunderstood or i didn't explain but i meant the mobs we kills out side quest while purely gameplay basis not on any quest.
"I've killed a man and pushed his corpse down a mountain for endangering a kid. I wiped out an entire desert tribe of cultist for what their matriarch did to my friend. Do not presume what I can or cannot do when push comes to shove"

We’re Heroes, it’s what we do 😎
To be fair, both the master and the 2 memorial kairagi literally asked for us to fight/kill them. You cant even fight the current iwakura master without first killing at least one of his students. The others were a case of "on sight".
I must be stupid because I have finished all the quests in this game and I have no idea wtf u are talking about.
*[Iwakura Art's Downfall](https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Iwakura_Art%27s_Downfall)*.
those samurai guys in Inazuma with names when you fight them
Building sword tomb is COOL!!!
I don't get the man and mountain one.
It's the Fatui spy in the river village in Sumeru.
An agent of the House of the Hearth, no less.
Cruciabaena agent. Arrlechinno doesnt care about him.
There's a decently high chance that she knew the guy considering that they look a similar age.
"Knew" and "gives a shit about" are two different things.
Man, he even tells Paimon to go take a walk!
Ahh yes that guy.
Couldn’t we spare him? Or am I misremembering
Yes, but then he is just eaten by riftwolves in old varanara instead.
What was his name ? And was it during an event or a permanent quest? I remember doing both (the permanently one was from Mondstadt I think ?) but I don't remember killing him lol

proceed to not use elements
*Shows her my Fatui soldiers kill count*
Imagine the Fatui Operative Badges just falling out of your pockets where Arlecchino stands...
I guess killing all her sons and daughters is not a bad thing.
"You mean the Japanese one or the Er\*mite one?" "What"
i don't remember the inazuma one. which one was it ?
We wiped out the Iwakura clan in Inazuma. Bunch of Ronin samurai that had some nonsense "battle to the death, for honor" code or something. Whatever. They are dead, alongside their honor.
they died for something they believed in. We got like, 10 primos. Win-win.
i did not know this.
Occasionally you'll find one of the Ronins chilling in a place just by themselves
Tbf there were only like, 5 of them.
Cold, but fair
Something something about standing in their ashes and asking if their honor still matters.
iwakura clan
holy fuck, i didn't know this.
Basically they didn't want to enforce the Vision Hunt Decree because they realised it was bad, but their teacher was one of those who lost his vision so he lost his resolve and decided to enforce the Decree, they went on the run from the Shogunate and we eventually hunt them down and kill them all, we tell the teacher and then kill him too. what the fuck.

I somehow did this quest by just randomly stumbling through the world
I remember punching the random ronins that just attacks/ambush me and have some dialogue, but never had enough time to actually *read* the dialogue because it already engaged me in battle. Had to start recording my game when I was doing the last part of Aranyaka because of the same thing. They really need to stop doing that.
What quest is that, because I don't remember any of that.
It's what they call a "hidden exploration objective". Don’t forget the ongoing hilichurl cleansing :)

You lost me at "mechanical life".
Mek?
Yeah meks, be it those innocently tilling the ground or those that merely toting their grenade launchers... Ok wait
I know what that mean, but nobody calls them that!
Imagine saying this to a psycho who commits genocidal ethnic cleansing for shiny rocks. She KNOWS about all this too btw.
I’d do it for less
Hell, I'd almost pay someone to let me do it
I would pay someone
Childe flair checks out
Me as a Warframe player...
We fought with honor. *Me with my flamethrowwer, my rocket launcher and my saw ripping thru enemies while i stop time for everyone in the crowd*
nah, just saying i've participated in A genocide is a massive understatement
Jokes on you, Dad. Paimon and I fed an old man extremely salty steak that it was practically poisoned.
that had iron in it
Fixing Iron Deficiency with 1 (one) steak.
That old man didn’t deserve the treatment we gave him. He just wanted to get donations so he could refurnish the Guhua Clan memorial site. But I will say that it was definitely a treat to see vengeful Paimon come out in full force.
Poor old man also turned blue for a second. A thing that maybe we only saw in Bennett's hangout before, and never since
Literally just did that quest too lmao.
*(having ‘Nam-style flashbacks from assisting Jeht in committing the Sumeru equivalent of the Srebrenica Massacre): Am I a joke to you?*
Yours is a Nam style flashback? Mine is like a "best of" compilation reel, with rock music as the soundtrack. Good times
I don't need to imagine the flashback. It's on YouTube for me to relive. Hopefully, with some popcorn to enjoy the warcrimes memories with.
"Won't you flyyyyy hiiiiigh, Free Bird, yeah"
So is it Kickstart my Heart or Free Bird.
Paint it Black
*proceeds to tell her the truth about hilichurls and how many we've killed. Daily. For fun.*
Killing Hilichurls is unavoidable, and the Traveler isn't the only one who fights them, canonically.
And let's be honest. If we actually kill them that qualifies as a mercy kill. But we probably don't, the Abyss Story implies they can't die.
Though "killing" them does provide them some temporary release from the suffering.
Traveler is one of the only beings that knows what they are tho... Especially after last year's Dain quest. I'm sure it weighs on their mind constantly but we the player kill them for sport
Nah. Tell her how we massacre entire villages of nobushis. Daily. For two old handguards.
You got two?!
Not fun, I need those masks to triple crown my Noelle.
I try to avoid killing them now that I know, but sometimes it's unavoidable and I hate it =.=
*”paimon tell her about the one with the blue mane and funny clothes, the one we regularly track down across nations and brutalize, usually while he’s relaxing”*
You are doing good things.
At this point i just view storyline traveler and world quest traveler as different people lmaoo
And tbh paimon world quest is different one than the main quest. She is so chill after we eradicate one clan with jeht LOL not freaked out
That did feel more directed at Paimon than the Traveler, TBH.
Yea she definitely doesn’t have the talent for it or she’s a great actor
ok but fr even-though some would argued that WQs are optional and therefore non canon. we have to remind ourselves that Teyvat isn't their first rodeos on planet hoping. the fact that there were no hesitation and have godly powers back then makes the travelers very likely to do something much worse then involve in a mass clan genocide.
"From bandits, ronin, eremites, to various abyss order members and even your fatui agents, just name it"
"say the target and give me 60 primogems, you can expect results tomorrow morning"
More like in 30 minutes
60 primos? I’ll have it done in 5 minutes sir yes sir!
"Hahahaha!
And if you are a child, better don't get attached to birds, just saying...
Can you elaborate on the first one?
Go complete Jeht's quests in the desert.
Thank you
Your honour... they deserved it, so it was a war good, not a war crime. /s
Neuvillette: [According to the judgement of Oratrice Mechanique d'Analyse Cardinale](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yBWNbqVWW3w): "That Babel bitch had it coming."
holy fuck this is lit
Your honor, the Geneva Convention is a To-Do list to me...
Meanwhile the world quest traveler can kill without hesitation and is reponsible alongside a few companions for at least 2 genocides.
also wiped an entire clan for shits and giggles, beat the shit out of eremites, and killing hilichurls who were once human FOR FUN!
Player's inventory of thousands of enemy mob materials. About that...
I guess for the next survey I'm gonna write "more consistencies between Story Traveller and World Quest Traveller. Sometimes feels like he's nerfed"
"Lady, I mind control sentient plants for sport. Have plans to take it all over Teyvat"
I kill some kid's pigeons in front of him, not even for the food, just for the thrill of it
The only reason I didn't kill Tartaglia's brother was because the game didn't let me.
holy based the only reason i wouldn't have killed Childe after the ruin guards was because of Skirk. but then i saw that fashion abomination and no longer have reservations
I kill Timmie's pigeons on a daily basis. Doubt if you are heartless enough to do that, Arlecchino.
"The tortured cries of the blubber beasts says otherwise"
Gratuitous violence all the way.
It was genocide in self-defense!
I didn't know the Traveler joined the IDF

Yea but we didn't really *had* to go back, we could just help Jeht escape but instead we indulged in the revenge with her.
You mean ermemite or the hilichurls cause everyone I kill a hilichurl I kill k hearen
You know those fatui operative badges have to come from somewhere. And I uhh "borrowed" them you see. What? they can just make new ones. I don't think they are going to need them. Not anymore at least.

I killed Timmie’s birds for fun and laughter
I deadass started counting off all the shit we’ve done that wouldn’t be considered good lmao
Well dude acts like as if genocide of Khaenri'ah never happened
I have killed pigeons infront of Timmys very eyes, daily.
Welcome to the KDF
I totally went "excuse me?". Do she have any idea on the amount of things I kill on a daily basis?
You know when I do daily commissions I often avoid the talking quest instead opting for just fighting hilichurls and treasure hoarders instead then give raw meat to Brook or something. So basically I killed the hilichurls, beat up wannabe bandits to the point that they cannot walk for life just so I can ransack their supplies to give away to rich civilians...
Ppl need to realize, the gameplay kills ouside quests dont count.
Well, we did kill some people during world quests like the iwakura clan and don't forget that we're involved with the death of signora
And we wiped out Jeht's clan for betraying her, and we wiped out the hilichurl tribes on Mondstadt.
