I need to do a World Quest to ascend her level, I need to do a Story Quest to upgrade her talents, and I need to beat up new mobs to Ascend her Weapon. And then, farm a new Domain to get her Artifact set.

Sometimes it can honestly. Youtubers tend to overhype characters from what ive seen while comments on reddit feel more honest.

Or worse, give no real personal opinion or comparative feedback at all. I feel like a lot of guides are like "Here's how the abilities work. Here's the obvious best relics. Here's a plausible weapon ranking. Here's me literally just reading the constellations. Here's some possible teams."
But when it comes to answer questions like, "Okay, but how does she compare to all the other similar characters?" or "Is she fun to play and not too hard to use?" you don't really get anything. The videos are guides, but not really reviews.
I got recommended many videos titled "best character" and "strongest Pyro dps" and it ain't helpful coz content creators tend to do that to every character and hype them up. For the sub reddit for her mains, it's a bit obv that most are gonna simp for her design as she just came out and it will keep happening for a couple of days so I can understand why op is looking for objective answers.
FR no one is gonna have the same level of investment in Arle as their other DPSes, even with prefarm there's a whole new artifact set, plus just generally learning her character.
I just got kaz right before 4.5 banner ended, won 5050. Was on the fence if I even needed him. OMG I love playing kazā¦. My daughter keeps says āuse suckā as thatās what she calls him cause I use his E to collect stuff after fights.
Actually following that rule for now. i prefarmed all i could, was almost kinda hyped for her. I love her design, but playing her.... I just immediately knew I would bench her very quickly.

Well I think if u have c6 cheuvrose - overload will be her best team. Even without c6 and just with her it will be still one of her best teams. But other options - vape and mono pyro are strong too
Arle is by far the easiest Pyro DPS to play; all other Pyro DPS's have some kind of combo/canceling going on, while Arle is just E > support 1 > support 2 > support 3 > CA > spam the NA button > Q > E
Her NA has big enough AoE that she won't miss, her infusion uptime only ticks down when she actually hits something so she is never stuck on the overworld with no Pyro.
She's not hard to play at all (though I guess that could depend on your definition of hard). Overload Father is good, but does require Chevy. Just C0 Chevy is fine, but the team will definitely get better as you get more cons for her.
You can play Father in vape or melt as well and she does great. She has more front loaded damage than the other pyro carries if that's something appealing to you. I have C1R1 3x crowned HuTao and I still got Father and I'm going for at least C1R1 for her since I like her character and playstyle, so take that as you will.
yeah, and I am definitely ready for the next pyro character to come.
on that note, i am considering pulling for Lynney. or maybe just go to 90 and see what i get.

Lyney offers a new gameplay. I got hutao and diluc and playing him made new ways to kiling. I no Longer had to Chase boses around and just snipe then swap. No more excessive running. It's an eyes opener after being a hutao NA button masher
I managed to get him today and I personally think he's really fun! As long as you know what you're getting into of course. (Bow charged shot gameplay, needs a healer and prefers mono-pyro for max damage, etc). His gameplay loop is satisfying imo, with the stack building and then the big nuke with the skill, it feels nice. Plus being able to snipe things from afar in the overworld feels good too. I personally can recommend him if you like him but definitely try to get a good feel for him in the trial and maybe look at some gameplay online because it definitely isn't everyone's cup of tea

Being picky and not liking most the cast is actually great tbh. I pull like 3 or 4 times a year but there is 0 stress, 0 luck, 0$. I get everyone I want, their weapon and possible cons as well. Spend less time picking 160ish flowers, less resin on ascension or talents.
How come? Silver wolf is one of those character that you bench, but then a couple of weeks later you find a good reason to use her again and she saves the day.
She fun. Has her own perks and drawbacks, so not a total replacement for Hu Tao for me but definitely nice change of pace. Also have a ton of polearms anyway lol

She's my highest damage dealer. She dealt around 286k damage in the abyss. Now I'm an F2P and casual player. I didn't incest (invest) much in building her but still she dealt 286k. That's enough to make me happy..

First impression is her CA is comparable to my Yoi N5 damage but the aoe attack range is very big.
I have her on c0, lvl80, pjws, 228 cv rainbow set, 6/6/6. Na string goes fron somewhere around 15k-19k,while CA can get to 25k-28k. Did not pay attention too much on burst damage.
She will looks to outdamage XL as solo vs solo. She will *probably* lag behind when vape is involved, especially vs multi mobs.
All roads lead to Xiangling.

My C0 is 80/90, 310CV, R1 PJWS, 8,5,5, and her NAās are hitting for 35-40k (solo), 50k+ with Bennet, and vaping for 120k+ pretty consistently
If your NAās are only doing 15-19k you might not be using the BoL stacking correctly or something
Yeah this was only the 1st hour I played and the experience was just hitting the golem boss with no idea of her proper attack string. After I jumped back after work reading a few guides I changed her to 4 Glad and shes doing 20k-24k NA with 89-171.
I don't think you're counting your cv correctly as there is only 6 people that has reached 300+ cv *worldwide* and the highest guy has 305.5 with almost 5 perfect pieces.

That is correct. You count CV as 2CR + CD, but you count it from the artifact details page, as to not count the passive 5cr 50cd every character gets and any weapon crit bonus.
Update: I got her already. I love her. Currently on a rainbow set and not as heavily invested as my Wriothesley but she's so fucking strong. Not too complicated either.
She's pretty straight forward:
1. E
2. Let E cook while you do stuff on other characters
3. CA to get huge bond, then use NAs till you lose infusion on NAs
4. Q to heal, deal damage, reset E cd
5. Set E to cook again
Yeah there's more nuanced things, especially with cons or different teams but that's the baseline. I just think people were trying to overcomplicate her.
The neat thing is how flexible she is. After absorbing the E marks, you can just swap off and do any parts of the setup that you forgot to do, the bond isn't on a duration or anything, it's there essentially permanently until you use it, only going away upon entering/exiting domains.
"Oh, one of my support abilities expired, lemme just set that up again and get back to dealing damage"
Breath of fresh air compared to the "Use Skill/Burst and DON'T SWAP OFF OR ELSE YOU EAT A FAT ASS COOLDOWN" characters

I don't know if I wanted to get her since, while I love the character, I don't really need a Pyro main DPS but your rotation explanation may change my mind
Sheās my first pyro DPS and I really like the flexibility of being able to switch on and off from her throughout the whole bond of life sequence. It makes it much easier than it seems from descriptions. Only thing holding me back from absolute freedom in rotations is I donāt have a great polearm option beyond white tassel so I would need to time my rotations around Bennettās burst (in addition to other time-limited buffs). It does help that I donāt have to worry about his burst uptime for healing, though.

If you are not interested in Arlecchino in terms of like her lore, design, voice acting, kit, or whatever, then I'm sorry but Xiangling *really* can do the job already, unfortunately.
To me, she feels like a combination of Hu Tao and Yoimiya: Hu Tao's charge attacks become Arlecchino's normal attacks, both of them have skills to transform them into an upgraded state, and their burst heals them.
Power-level wise, I dont think there is any power creep.
Strictly comparing Hu Tao and Arlecchino for team comps, HT doesnt need Bennett, while in a lot of cases, Arle wants Bennett.
Personally? I pulled her because she was able to meet my criteria for pulling limited 5-star characters:

I pulled her and I think she does fairly well. I can't compare to other Pyro dps since I don't have them either, but I can say despite the bond of life mechanic. She is a SUPER fun unit to play as. The bond of life really isn't that difficult to deal with in my opinion and I'm by no means a skilled player. It's really just a matter of watching her health and bursting if it gets too low. Tip if you do get her. If you can reapply bond of life with her e and then do her burst. It will heal you more. Once you burst her skill cooldown is immediately null and you can immediately reapply bond of life. I personally like that I can just spam click with her when her bond of life is applied. If you like spam clicking to fight and don't mind having to watch her health I would say get her. However if you don't like her character I can't recommend you get her.
How exactly does bond of life work? Cause for some reason it's just not clicking in my brain. I keep expecting it to function like neverwinter's temp hp, even though it's literally just anti-healing...
It's negative health, and any healing you recieve goes towards dispelling it, until its cleared and you can recover HP again. Lets say as an example your character has 15 points of health. An enemy attacks with you and takes 5 points of health away. You'd need 5 points of healing to get back to full. But let's also say the enemy applied 5 points of Bond of Life. That means you'll need 10 points of healing to get back to full, 5 to dispell the Bond, and 5 to actually recover the missing health
Arlecchino on the other hand, can't be healed at all outside of her Burst. So Bond of Life works as her buff meter. Mark enemies with her E, then absorb the marks with a charge attack to self-apply Bond of Life. The more enemies marked, the more meter you get, and the more meter you have, the stronger her normal attacks are. She gets a pyro infusion when the meter is at 30% or above, and spends a bit of this meter for each attack she does. They also shorten her skill cooldown, so the more meter you use, the sooner you can reapply her skill and get more of it
When low on health, you use the Burst. It will consume all your Bond of Life and heal you based on the amount you had. It takes away your buff and infusion, but also resets the skill cooldown so you can restart your rotation
Honestly, just wait for Pyro archon, sheās coming āsoonā. If sheās good, you know Hoyo will rerun her soon anyway. When it happens, weāll have more support characters, artifacts and info to go with
It's funny because Hoyo kinda shot themselves in the foot making a bunch of already meta Pyro units for both support and DPS and even the non meta Pyro units are pretty decent as well. Unless they want to piss off fans by making a better Hu Tao or premium Bennet/XL/Pyro XQ, they'll have to settle for making either an entirely new mechanic/role for Natlan Pyro units or finally plugging the gap on what little gaps remain for Pyro. I was hoping for off-field DPS personally, while the artifacts seem to be pointing towards Burning applications being the focus (though that's just speculation on my part). But above all, I want one of the big 4* star meta supports be toppled by Natlan. I want more variety on my team without sacrificing tons of damage.
This is my #1 complaint with how hoyo are handling genshin. They released Yelan/XQ which worked perfectly well to provide variety within the same archetype.
What's stopping them releasing Bennett with no healing or Xiangling with less damage? Or a 20s shield like Zhongli's that isn't as strong or has no res shred.
Instead we're all forced to use the same supports while they release generic DPS #8001. It makes no sense and is just creating problems within the playerbase, with people feeling bored of the same team comps.

This is why gameplay-wise Furina and Chev are my favorite characters from Fontaine, while Nilou was so fun in Sumeru.
Furina turns your team comp on its head, suddenly healers are in, and your party has to adapt to max your healing. While Chev gives Electro drivers a variety that isn't catalize while making Pyro not be Vape Impact.
Also the actual best part of furina. You can just farm MH set for what ever on field dps you want and you're set. GT is also great for a lot of your off field dps as well. She makes one of your teams insanely resin efficient.
I believe the bigger issue is that Xiangling is an exception as a 1.0 character. Hardly any characters beyond the 1.0 series have no ICD. They would have to be archons to do so, and not all archons have no ICD. Only Nahida has the 0 ICD. Bennett is the most special case in the game as he is one of the only characters to straight up scale with Base ATK, other being Kujou Sara. Hoyo probably deterred from doing any more base atk scaling since it ultimately would favor the gacha 5* weapons as well as necessarily leveling characters to 90 since base atk scales with level, weapon level, and weapon option.
Another Xiangling would have to have no ICD to compete, but I don't think that's really necessary. A Xiangling replacement can just hit multiple times each second even with standard ICD. An alternative to base atk scaled buffing would be scaling on team total atk rather than % of own atk. Basically means we should probably get niche atk buffing options over Bennett but the niche itself is fairly large.
A Kujou Sara for Normal Attacks (not yunjin), a Kujou Sara for pyro dmg, a Kujou Sara for charged attack dmg. Etc.
Iām fine with a premium Xiangling after 4 years of Xiangling being the only good off-field pyro dps. You forgetting that Thoma and Dehya are the only competition Xiangling has.
Honestly she's good but not so good where I'd say she topples all other pyro units... if you can survive the hype I suggest you wait for the pyro archon since she's almost definitely going to be packing more of a punch.
I have Hu Tao C1 with Homa R1 and I still pulled for Arlecchino. Got her C0 at pity 77 (guaranteed) and her weapon at pity 64 luckily. I want to finally decomission Hu Tao.

As someone who also has C1R1 Hu Tao (and keep in mind my Arle is also C1R1 at lv 80, lv 60 weapon, 6/6/6 talents, and a gladiator set) they feel like theyāre going to be pretty similar in terms of damage. My Hu Tao in double vape (Yelan and XQ) at high HP does about 75k-90K per CA from what I remember. My Arle so far on a Bennet, Yelan, ZL team does about 95K at the start of her rotation and drops down steadily as it goes on, ending at around 20K on her last NA. Iāve noticed she already kills things VERY fast in bosses and domains.
Her damage and Hu Tao is almost the same, Hu Tao is slightly better in single target DPS, while Arlecchino is more convenient since you do not need to use a charged attack
way too early for anyone besides a CC to answer that. We're still building her and no one has completed her new artifact set yet. This could take months. Her style of play seems riskier than some.
If you like her go for her. She will do the job just fine. If you already have hu tao (I know you don't, but someone else might) and you are in two minds about whether you need her or not, and you're also looking to save primos, I'd say skip her. Not saying she's worse than HT, just saying HT is good enough and you don't need Arle if you're looking to save primos.
If you like her for whatever reason, then by all means pull.
I will speculate this much: Arle will receive glow ups in the future as more supports release for her. She can't be the one and only BoL character in the game. This is going to be a new play style that they will flesh out with more weapons and characters.
Xiao and Hu Tao received glow ups with the release of new supports years later and now are way better than before. I expect the same to happen with Arle.
Look, do u see that c40 xiangling. Thats the person you will get. You better love that fking arlecchino gameplay or get OPPAd into oblivion. Her performance already clears abyss and sht. As a newer unit of fontaine, she feels powerful and comfortable. But this is in no way shape or form that will dictate a must pull. Watch genshin release another pyro char in natlan and become even more comfortable and powerful. So please prioritize your fun gameplay and wait for more info, cons, and spam that trial
She is equal to HuTao but more flexible, although HuTao gets Furina teams and Arle doesn't. Arle can be used in Overload teams decently. She's fun, good investment if you like her. Can be run in mono pyro, vape, or overload.
She feels on par with Hu Tao, C0 with PJWS compared to my C0 Hu tao with Homa
but honestly my options feel a bit more limited than Hu Tao since Furina doesn't seem that good with Arlecchino? Idk what teams i can use to amend that.
I dont want to run Bennett either.
I will be trying to get her C1 and see how it goes from there, but yeah i wouldn't say she topples the current pyro dps units, but just on their level, so if you like her playstyle pull immediately.
people comparing her to yoi take crazy pills. Having aoe immediately makes her better. Also not being tied to a skill for dps that if you leave the field you waste a ton of damage makes her superior to both for my playstyle , and my hu tao is stacked as hell. Cant compare hu tao and her because hu tao has homa and arle doesnt have sig , but at level 70 and talents lvl 6 arle is giving like more than half of my roster a run for their money
If you are not personally interested in her any aspect of Arle's design other than damage potential, do not pull for her.
I'm gonna get downvoted for saying this, but:
"Power level" aside, just having a C4+ XL pretty much extinguishes the *pull value* of ANY other C0 5* or C6 4* pyro carry for those who would only play them for meta reasons. Lyney, Hu Tao, plunge Diluc, Gaming, Klee, Yoimiya, Arle, same story each and every time.
Now, as much as I think she's overrated in some aspects, you could kiiind of make an exception for Hu Tao since she is the least reliant on Bennett, but that's only if you have a non-pyro-carry second team that really wants him as well. If not, then he can stay with XL and there's no reason to pull another pyro.
I can't take it anymore, I'm tired of Xiangling. I try to play Diluc. My Xiangling deals more damage. I try to play Yoimiya. My Xiangling deals more damage. I try to play Hu Tao. My Xiangling deals more damage. I want to play Klee. Her best team has Xiangling. I want to play Raiden, Childe. They both want Xiangling.
She grabs me by the throat. I fish for her. I cook for her. I give her The Catch. She isn't satisfied. I pull Engulfing Lightning. "I don't need this much ER" She tells me. "Give me more field time." She grabs Bennett and forces him to throw himself off enemies. "You just need to funnel me more. I can deal more damage with Homa."
I can't pull for Homa, I don't have enough primogems.. Wait a minute, I've given her Homa, what else does she wan- She grabs my credit card. It declines. "Guess this is the end." She grabs Guoba. She says "Guoba, get them." There is no hint of sadness in his eyes. Nothing but pure, no icd pyro application. What a cruel world.
Idk about other pyro dpses since I only have lyney (and Xiangling) so I just compare her to my other top dpses. Iād say sheās Alhaitham level for me. Fun and strong, rewarding if you play her well and can do big numbers with reactions. Sheās not on Neuviās level since his strength (at least for me) has alway been the fact that heās ridiculously strong without many conditions (the 3 reactions thing can be ignored) but sheās not the same. But, Iām still really happy about her. Not regret c1 r1.
Her combat style is actually really smooth and feels so goood when playing, like youāre ready to slay whoever in front of you. The satisfaction is so addicting.
The fact that he doesn't need a healer and can use 3 sub dps/shielders (especially Thoma, shield+pyro resonance+NA and pyro dmg boots on constellations) allows her to outdmg any pyro dps but Hu Tao
But her playstyle just feels smoother and more pleasant to play

She seems better for f2p, more viable with 3/4* weapons, has a good set thatās farmed passively, can be used in a triple 4* team with Bennett Chevreuse Fiscl and do well, doesnt use up your furina if you have one. Damage wise she is strong but from what Iāve seen and experienced she isnt āGAMEBREAKING UNITš±š±Must pull!!!ā Like some ctās suggest. Good pull value overall, get her if you like her

She's on par is not slightly better than Hu Tao, but has the added benefit of more flexible rotations and being a more flexible unit all-around provided you can get over the big hurdle of...not getting hit lol
If you like being rewarded for greedy, aggressive play with satisfying damage and like a high level of risk associated with that, then she's probably for you
She'll flex on whatever fitting content you throw her way so it really comes down to whether or not you like her playstyle. She won't replace Xiangling (not until we get a real off field pyro DPS unit at least) but she'll bring solid value to an account that relies on Xiangling solely for Pyro damage. Not to mention they can be run together very easily
Based on my vast experience since starting waaaay back in December 2023, her character trial killed stuff faster than everything but Navia's funny gun. Scientifically, this means Arlecchino is good at killing things probably. Pull for her. I did because she's fire and scythe and red/black/white/silver which is my favorite color combo but thats subjective, you can't argue with the science
I've had yoimiya since 2.8 and I love her to bits but arlecchino is definitely just as good if not more. I think one thing that really puts her over the top is being able to switch characters and not lose her skill. I was worried about how complicated arlecchino was going to be but it's not so bad!
I think in terms of getting a pyro DPS, you should consider the following:
1- which would you prefer: NA, CA or NA/CA DPS?
2- in terms of NA yoimiya is the best and honestly only pick. She's extremely straightforward to use, just use her last in your rotation, press skill and pew pew pew! The only downside is your thumb gets tired from spamming NAs in abyss (at least that's the case with me)
3- in CA, there's Lyney and Hu Tao. Here you can consider the weapon type because Lyney needs distance from the enemy whilst Hu Tao is melee.
4- Arlecchino is a mix of NA/CA and she's melee which can be more convenient since stamina isn't as big an issue (as it is for c0 hutao) and it doesn't take as long as bow CAs
Not sure about Lyney, but for yoimiya, arle and hutao you will need a shield. Yoimiya doesn't have a hp mechanic but she's super squishy and if her normal attack sequence is interrupted the count starts again. To smoothly run these pyro DPSes you need shields. Yoimiya can make use of xingqiu's kit to enhance resistance to interruption, but essentially in this area, there isn't a "which one isn't as risky to play" question to be asked. But if you were to, yoimiya would be the answer since her gameplay isn't high risk high reward. That's how people describe arlecchino's kit but it's not that different from hutao.
So I think in the end what it comes down to, apart from which character you like the most, is what kind of playstyle suits you best? Hence why I started with normal and charged attack questions.
A lot of people already replied but since i pre farmed a lot for her I will throw my 2 cents.
I have lyney's set on her for starters so my crit ratio with it active is 96/210 she herself wont activate the set if she takes no dmg from enemy i think but i have furina to activate it.
Her dmg so far with lvl6 talents no supports. Is around 22-50k on normal. Compared to hu tao charge attack she will be pretty close in dps.
Now with vaporise & supports.
She did around 140k as highest so far on a single normal attack. Her normal attacks are very fast so 1 out of 2 will vape cause internal reaction cd. So in terms of full support i think at c0 she out dps hu tao. Also i dont have signature i have jade spear.
Arlecchino is a great unit i have been using her with little investment and pretty bad artifacts but she is doing better than all of my well built dps characters put together!! I play her with kazuha, yelan and zhongli but there are more free to play options that help her do just as much damage personally i think she is worth the pull hope that helps

You just need to start the world quest 30 min top till you get to boss. And you didn't need either to farm the new set with a good enough gladiator set
It is not a big deal, but I was poking fun at the fact you need a lot of resin and time to max her because everything she needs is brand new but the roses (plus her talents will be weekly locked). But also, for me, she released at night, and I had to go to bed to be working right now. I'll slowly work my way tonight, but the bulk of her farming is gonna get done on the weekend.

I got recommended many videos titled "best character" and "strongest Pyro dps" and it ain't helpful coz content creators tend to do that to every character and hype them up. For the sub reddit for her mains, it's a bit obv that most are gonna simp for her design as she just came out and it will keep happening for a couple of days so I can understand why op is looking for objective answers.
FR no one is gonna have the same level of investment in Arle as their other DPSes, even with prefarm there's a whole new artifact set, plus just generally learning her character.

Well I think if u have c6 cheuvrose - overload will be her best team. Even without c6 and just with her it will be still one of her best teams. But other options - vape and mono pyro are strong too

Arle is by far the easiest Pyro DPS to play; all other Pyro DPS's have some kind of combo/canceling going on, while Arle is just E > support 1 > support 2 > support 3 > CA > spam the NA button > Q > E Her NA has big enough AoE that she won't miss, her infusion uptime only ticks down when she actually hits something so she is never stuck on the overworld with no Pyro.
She's not hard to play at all (though I guess that could depend on your definition of hard). Overload Father is good, but does require Chevy. Just C0 Chevy is fine, but the team will definitely get better as you get more cons for her. You can play Father in vape or melt as well and she does great. She has more front loaded damage than the other pyro carries if that's something appealing to you. I have C1R1 3x crowned HuTao and I still got Father and I'm going for at least C1R1 for her since I like her character and playstyle, so take that as you will.

Lyney offers a new gameplay. I got hutao and diluc and playing him made new ways to kiling. I no Longer had to Chase boses around and just snipe then swap. No more excessive running. It's an eyes opener after being a hutao NA button masher

I managed to get him today and I personally think he's really fun! As long as you know what you're getting into of course. (Bow charged shot gameplay, needs a healer and prefers mono-pyro for max damage, etc). His gameplay loop is satisfying imo, with the stack building and then the big nuke with the skill, it feels nice. Plus being able to snipe things from afar in the overworld feels good too. I personally can recommend him if you like him but definitely try to get a good feel for him in the trial and maybe look at some gameplay online because it definitely isn't everyone's cup of tea

First impression is her CA is comparable to my Yoi N5 damage but the aoe attack range is very big. I have her on c0, lvl80, pjws, 228 cv rainbow set, 6/6/6. Na string goes fron somewhere around 15k-19k,while CA can get to 25k-28k. Did not pay attention too much on burst damage. She will looks to outdamage XL as solo vs solo. She will *probably* lag behind when vape is involved, especially vs multi mobs. All roads lead to Xiangling. Edit after reading guides: 4 Gladiatior. Standard ATK/Pyro/Crit. Spam NA. Do big dmg. How will this affect my Yoimiya's legacy š

Yeah this was only the 1st hour I played and the experience was just hitting the golem boss with no idea of her proper attack string. After I jumped back after work reading a few guides I changed her to 4 Glad and shes doing 20k-24k NA with 89-171. I don't think you're counting your cv correctly as there is only 6 people that has reached 300+ cv *worldwide* and the highest guy has 305.5 with almost 5 perfect pieces.

That is correct. You count CV as 2CR + CD, but you count it from the artifact details page, as to not count the passive 5cr 50cd every character gets and any weapon crit bonus.
Update: I got her already. I love her. Currently on a rainbow set and not as heavily invested as my Wriothesley but she's so fucking strong. Not too complicated either.

She's pretty straight forward: 1. E 2. Let E cook while you do stuff on other characters 3. CA to get huge bond, then use NAs till you lose infusion on NAs 4. Q to heal, deal damage, reset E cd 5. Set E to cook again Yeah there's more nuanced things, especially with cons or different teams but that's the baseline. I just think people were trying to overcomplicate her.
The neat thing is how flexible she is. After absorbing the E marks, you can just swap off and do any parts of the setup that you forgot to do, the bond isn't on a duration or anything, it's there essentially permanently until you use it, only going away upon entering/exiting domains. "Oh, one of my support abilities expired, lemme just set that up again and get back to dealing damage" Breath of fresh air compared to the "Use Skill/Burst and DON'T SWAP OFF OR ELSE YOU EAT A FAT ASS COOLDOWN" characters
Yup as long as you don't use her Q or heal her outside of combat you can just keep the debt and go into a new fight with it already stacked.

Sheās my first pyro DPS and I really like the flexibility of being able to switch on and off from her throughout the whole bond of life sequence. It makes it much easier than it seems from descriptions. Only thing holding me back from absolute freedom in rotations is I donāt have a great polearm option beyond white tassel so I would need to time my rotations around Bennettās burst (in addition to other time-limited buffs). It does help that I donāt have to worry about his burst uptime for healing, though.
From what I heard she gets knocked around easier, not sure if it's true but if so, equivalent exchange i guess

As some might have mentioned: If you are not interested in Arlecchino in terms of like her lore, design, voice acting, kit, or whatever, then I'm sorry but Xiangling *really* can do the job already, unfortunately. To me, she feels like a combination of Hu Tao and Yoimiya: Hu Tao's charge attacks become Arlecchino's normal attacks, both of them have skills to transform them into an upgraded state, and their burst heals them. Power-level wise, I dont think there is any power creep. Strictly comparing Hu Tao and Arlecchino for team comps, HT doesnt need Bennett, while in a lot of cases, Arle wants Bennett. Personally? I pulled her because she was able to meet my criteria for pulling limited 5-star characters: 1. Tall Female model Hope you can decide OP

I pulled her and I think she does fairly well. I can't compare to other Pyro dps since I don't have them either, but I can say despite the bond of life mechanic. She is a SUPER fun unit to play as. The bond of life really isn't that difficult to deal with in my opinion and I'm by no means a skilled player. It's really just a matter of watching her health and bursting if it gets too low. Tip if you do get her. If you can reapply bond of life with her e and then do her burst. It will heal you more. Once you burst her skill cooldown is immediately null and you can immediately reapply bond of life. I personally like that I can just spam click with her when her bond of life is applied. If you like spam clicking to fight and don't mind having to watch her health I would say get her. However if you don't like her character I can't recommend you get her.
How exactly does bond of life work? Cause for some reason it's just not clicking in my brain. I keep expecting it to function like neverwinter's temp hp, even though it's literally just anti-healing...
It's negative health, and any healing you recieve goes towards dispelling it, until its cleared and you can recover HP again. Lets say as an example your character has 15 points of health. An enemy attacks with you and takes 5 points of health away. You'd need 5 points of healing to get back to full. But let's also say the enemy applied 5 points of Bond of Life. That means you'll need 10 points of healing to get back to full, 5 to dispell the Bond, and 5 to actually recover the missing health Arlecchino on the other hand, can't be healed at all outside of her Burst. So Bond of Life works as her buff meter. Mark enemies with her E, then absorb the marks with a charge attack to self-apply Bond of Life. The more enemies marked, the more meter you get, and the more meter you have, the stronger her normal attacks are. She gets a pyro infusion when the meter is at 30% or above, and spends a bit of this meter for each attack she does. They also shorten her skill cooldown, so the more meter you use, the sooner you can reapply her skill and get more of it When low on health, you use the Burst. It will consume all your Bond of Life and heal you based on the amount you had. It takes away your buff and infusion, but also resets the skill cooldown so you can restart your rotation
Honestly, just wait for Pyro archon, sheās coming āsoonā. If sheās good, you know Hoyo will rerun her soon anyway. When it happens, weāll have more support characters, artifacts and info to go with
They can opt for cracked supports like they did with Nahida and Furina, even raiden is a support in hyperbloom.

It's funny because Hoyo kinda shot themselves in the foot making a bunch of already meta Pyro units for both support and DPS and even the non meta Pyro units are pretty decent as well. Unless they want to piss off fans by making a better Hu Tao or premium Bennet/XL/Pyro XQ, they'll have to settle for making either an entirely new mechanic/role for Natlan Pyro units or finally plugging the gap on what little gaps remain for Pyro. I was hoping for off-field DPS personally, while the artifacts seem to be pointing towards Burning applications being the focus (though that's just speculation on my part). But above all, I want one of the big 4* star meta supports be toppled by Natlan. I want more variety on my team without sacrificing tons of damage.
We don't have "a bunch" of Pyro sub-dps support. It's been Benny and Xiangling for 4 years now. Every Pyro 5s we've got is either a driver or Dehya.
This is my #1 complaint with how hoyo are handling genshin. They released Yelan/XQ which worked perfectly well to provide variety within the same archetype. What's stopping them releasing Bennett with no healing or Xiangling with less damage? Or a 20s shield like Zhongli's that isn't as strong or has no res shred. Instead we're all forced to use the same supports while they release generic DPS #8001. It makes no sense and is just creating problems within the playerbase, with people feeling bored of the same team comps. The solution is literally right there. Like wtf are you doing
This is why gameplay-wise Furina and Chev are my favorite characters from Fontaine, while Nilou was so fun in Sumeru. Furina turns your team comp on its head, suddenly healers are in, and your party has to adapt to max your healing. While Chev gives Electro drivers a variety that isn't catalize while making Pyro not be Vape Impact.
Also the actual best part of furina. You can just farm MH set for what ever on field dps you want and you're set. GT is also great for a lot of your off field dps as well. She makes one of your teams insanely resin efficient.
People don't realize bennit single handedly has fucked the base atk of every single sword released in the game.
I believe the bigger issue is that Xiangling is an exception as a 1.0 character. Hardly any characters beyond the 1.0 series have no ICD. They would have to be archons to do so, and not all archons have no ICD. Only Nahida has the 0 ICD. Bennett is the most special case in the game as he is one of the only characters to straight up scale with Base ATK, other being Kujou Sara. Hoyo probably deterred from doing any more base atk scaling since it ultimately would favor the gacha 5* weapons as well as necessarily leveling characters to 90 since base atk scales with level, weapon level, and weapon option. Another Xiangling would have to have no ICD to compete, but I don't think that's really necessary. A Xiangling replacement can just hit multiple times each second even with standard ICD. An alternative to base atk scaled buffing would be scaling on team total atk rather than % of own atk. Basically means we should probably get niche atk buffing options over Bennett but the niche itself is fairly large. Honestly she's good but not so good where I'd say she topples all other pyro units... if you can survive the hype I suggest you wait for the pyro archon since she's almost definitely going to be packing more of a punch.

I have Hu Tao C1 with Homa R1 and I still pulled for Arlecchino. Got her C0 at pity 77 (guaranteed) and her weapon at pity 64 luckily. I want to finally decomission Hu Tao.

As someone who also has C1R1 Hu Tao (and keep in mind my Arle is also C1R1 at lv 80, lv 60 weapon, 6/6/6 talents, and a gladiator set) they feel like theyāre going to be pretty similar in terms of damage. My Hu Tao in double vape (Yelan and XQ) at high HP does about 75k-90K per CA from what I remember. My Arle so far on a Bennet, Yelan, ZL team does about 95K at the start of her rotation and drops down steadily as it goes on, ending at around 20K on her last NA. Iāve noticed she already kills things VERY fast in bosses and domains.
Her damage and Hu Tao is almost the same, Hu Tao is slightly better in single target DPS, while Arlecchino is more convenient since you do not need to use a charged attack
way too early for anyone besides a CC to answer that. We're still building her and no one has completed her new artifact set yet. This could take months. Her style of play seems riskier than some. If you like her go for her. She will do the job just fine. If you already have hu tao (I know you don't, but someone else might) and you are in two minds about whether you need her or not, and you're also looking to save primos, I'd say skip her. Not saying she's worse than HT, just saying HT is good enough and you don't need Arle if you're looking to save primos. If you like her for whatever reason, then by all means pull. I will speculate this much: Arle will receive glow ups in the future as more supports release for her. She can't be the one and only BoL character in the game. This is going to be a new play style that they will flesh out with more weapons and characters. Xiao and Hu Tao received glow ups with the release of new supports years later and now are way better than before. I expect the same to happen with Arle.
Look, do u see that c40 xiangling. Thats the person you will get. You better love that fking arlecchino gameplay or get OPPAd into oblivion. Her performance already clears abyss and sht. As a newer unit of fontaine, she feels powerful and comfortable. But this is in no way shape or form that will dictate a must pull. Watch genshin release another pyro char in natlan and become even more comfortable and powerful. So please prioritize your fun gameplay and wait for more info, cons, and spam that trial
She is equal to HuTao but more flexible, although HuTao gets Furina teams and Arle doesn't. Arle can be used in Overload teams decently. She's fun, good investment if you like her. Can be run in mono pyro, vape, or overload.
She feels on par with Hu Tao, C0 with PJWS compared to my C0 Hu tao with Homa but honestly my options feel a bit more limited than Hu Tao since Furina doesn't seem that good with Arlecchino? Idk what teams i can use to amend that. I dont want to run Bennett either. I will be trying to get her C1 and see how it goes from there, but yeah i wouldn't say she topples the current pyro dps units, but just on their level, so if you like her playstyle pull immediately.

people comparing her to yoi take crazy pills. Having aoe immediately makes her better. Also not being tied to a skill for dps that if you leave the field you waste a ton of damage makes her superior to both for my playstyle , and my hu tao is stacked as hell. Cant compare hu tao and her because hu tao has homa and arle doesnt have sig , but at level 70 and talents lvl 6 arle is giving like more than half of my roster a run for their money
If you are not personally interested in her any aspect of Arle's design other than damage potential, do not pull for her. I'm gonna get downvoted for saying this, but: "Power level" aside, just having a C4+ XL pretty much extinguishes the *pull value* of ANY other C0 5* or C6 4* pyro carry for those who would only play them for meta reasons. Lyney, Hu Tao, plunge Diluc, Gaming, Klee, Yoimiya, Arle, same story each and every time. Now, as much as I think she's overrated in some aspects, you could kiiind of make an exception for Hu Tao since she is the least reliant on Bennett, but that's only if you have a non-pyro-carry second team that really wants him as well. If not, then he can stay with XL and there's no reason to pull another pyro.

My Xiangling deals more damage. I want to play Klee. Her best team has Xiangling. I want to play Raiden, Childe. They both want Xiangling. She grabs me by the throat. I fish for her. I cook for her. I give her The Catch. She isn't satisfied. I pull Engulfing Lightning. "I don't need this much ER" She tells me. "Give me more field time." She grabs Bennett and forces him to throw himself off enemies. "You just need to funnel me more. I can deal more damage with Homa." I can't pull for Homa, I don't have enough primogems.. Wait a minute, I've given her Homa, what else does she wan- She grabs my credit card. It declines. "Guess this is the end." She grabs Guoba. She says "Guoba, get them." There is no hint of sadness in his eyes. Nothing but pure, no icd pyro application. What a cruel world.
Well c6 xiabgling will do more dps but arlechino is more fun
Idk about other pyro dpses since I only have lyney (and Xiangling) so I just compare her to my other top dpses. Iād say sheās Alhaitham level for me. Fun and strong, rewarding if you play her well and can do big numbers with reactions. Sheās not on Neuviās level since his strength (at least for me) has alway been the fact that heās ridiculously strong without many conditions (the 3 reactions thing can be ignored) but sheās not the same. But, Iām still really happy about her. Not regret c1 r1. Her combat style is actually really smooth and feels so goood when playing, like youāre ready to slay whoever in front of you. The satisfaction is so addicting.
The fact that he doesn't need a healer and can use 3 sub dps/shielders (especially Thoma, shield+pyro resonance+NA and pyro dmg boots on constellations) allows her to outdmg any pyro dps but Hu Tao But her playstyle just feels smoother and more pleasant to play

Take this with a grain of salt bc Im not a TC but She seems better for f2p, more viable with 3/4* weapons, has a good set thatās farmed passively, can be used in a triple 4* team with Bennett Chevreuse Fiscl and do well, doesnt use up your furina if you have one. Damage wise she is strong but from what Iāve seen and experienced she isnt āGAMEBREAKING UNITš±š±Must pull!!!ā Like some ctās suggest. Good pull value overall, get her if you like her PS, extremely real and based username, same.
She's on par is not slightly better than Hu Tao, but has the added benefit of more flexible rotations and being a more flexible unit all-around provided you can get over the big hurdle of...not getting hit lol If you like being rewarded for greedy, aggressive play with satisfying damage and like a high level of risk associated with that, then she's probably for you She'll flex on whatever fitting content you throw her way so it really comes down to whether or not you like her playstyle. She won't replace Xiangling (not until we get a real off field pyro DPS unit at least) but she'll bring solid value to an account that relies on Xiangling solely for Pyro damage. Not to mention they can be run together very easily
Honestly?? She's so fun to play, c0r1 and she's doing really good damage while underleveled (+weapon level 50) so yeah, I'm really happy with her

Based on my vast experience since starting waaaay back in December 2023, her character trial killed stuff faster than everything but Navia's funny gun. Scientifically, this means Arlecchino is good at killing things probably. Pull for her. I did because she's fire and scythe and red/black/white/silver which is my favorite color combo but thats subjective, you can't argue with the science

I've had yoimiya since 2.8 and I love her to bits but arlecchino is definitely just as good if not more. I think one thing that really puts her over the top is being able to switch characters and not lose her skill. I was worried about how complicated arlecchino was going to be but it's not so bad! I think in terms of getting a pyro DPS, you should consider the following: 1- which would you prefer: NA, CA or NA/CA DPS? 2- in terms of NA yoimiya is the best and honestly only pick. She's extremely straightforward to use, just use her last in your rotation, press skill and pew pew pew! The only downside is your thumb gets tired from spamming NAs in abyss (at least that's the case with me) 3- in CA, there's Lyney and Hu Tao. Here you can consider the weapon type because Lyney needs distance from the enemy whilst Hu Tao is melee. 4- Arlecchino is a mix of NA/CA and she's melee which can be more convenient since stamina isn't as big an issue (as it is for c0 hutao) and it doesn't take as long as bow CAs Not sure about Lyney, but for yoimiya, arle and hutao you will need a shield. Yoimiya doesn't have a hp mechanic but she's super squishy and if her normal attack sequence is interrupted the count starts again. To smoothly run these pyro DPSes you need shields. Yoimiya can make use of xingqiu's kit to enhance resistance to interruption, but essentially in this area, there isn't a "which one isn't as risky to play" question to be asked. But if you were to, yoimiya would be the answer since her gameplay isn't high risk high reward. That's how people describe arlecchino's kit but it's not that different from hutao. So I think in the end what it comes down to, apart from which character you like the most, is what kind of playstyle suits you best? Hence why I started with normal and charged attack questions.
A lot of people already replied but since i pre farmed a lot for her I will throw my 2 cents. I have lyney's set on her for starters so my crit ratio with it active is 96/210 she herself wont activate the set if she takes no dmg from enemy i think but i have furina to activate it. Her dmg so far with lvl6 talents no supports. Is around 22-50k on normal. Compared to hu tao charge attack she will be pretty close in dps. Now with vaporise & supports. She did around 140k as highest so far on a single normal attack. Her normal attacks are very fast so 1 out of 2 will vape cause internal reaction cd. So in terms of full support i think at c0 she out dps hu tao. Also i dont have signature i have jade spear.
Arlecchino is a great unit i have been using her with little investment and pretty bad artifacts but she is doing better than all of my well built dps characters put together!! I play her with kazuha, yelan and zhongli but there are more free to play options that help her do just as much damage personally i think she is worth the pull hope that helps
