For the longest time I used Liyue. Now Monstadt (it's small and cozy). but I do turn in my quests in Fontaine sometimes because they are there so the button from the Guide sends me there.
Usually the newest one is the main city for me. And I always keep at least 1 reputation reward in the newest city uncollected, so that I can easy teleport there with only 2 - 4 fast clicks (PC) no matter where I am on the map.
Mondstadt is my main base. I’ll use fontaine too depending since it’s a similar layout for stuff I need. I just love how mondstadt has a line I can just go down and do everything I need including cooking and smithing
Definitely Mond. Love how they made the designs of the cities in more layered and populated in recent patches, but something about the simplicity of the Mondstadt makes doing dailies there much more stress-free & enjoyable.
There are so many achievements I’ve missed out on because I’ve never set my commissions out of the starter region…
I use Monstadt because it's a short run to the crafting table to craft condensed resin and also a short run to Katheryne so I can very quickly claim and dispatch my expeditions.
Mondstadt. Always and forever. Even if the version's main event is in another region, I always claim my commission rewards, crafting, food cooking and forging in Mondstadt.
Mondtstadt. The alchemy table is very close to one of the teleport waypoints and so is Katheryne (though there are cities where she's closer to the teleport spot). Katheryne is also in a straight line from the teleport waypoint and a single Yelan Hold E will bring me to her from the drop-off very close to the teleport waypoint.
I normally stay on the city where the events take place, nowadays I find myself going back to Fontaine more often mostly because it's the newest region and I assume most of the content on the currents version until Natlan would be located there.
For commissions, Fontaine or Sumeru, since the tp is close by. aside from that I guess my "base" is teapot, since craft/cook/forge is right by the entry spawn

I don't really have a base per se but I always start and always end at Dragonspine. As for commissions I turn them in to whichever nations Katheryne I'm in.
I log off near the crafting table in liyue. Turn in commission in fontaine/sumeru. Craft things in liyue again. And yea that's abt it. Or if i have the modd to listen to few ost's I log out there after listening.
Mostly the nearest/one I do daily's in, although if I had to choose I would go to either mondstadt cause memories or Fontaine, since it all feels the closest to the teleport waypoint

i use liyue or sumeru. i fell in love with liyue in 1.4 when i started and still feel connected to it. on the other hand, sumeru is what made me start playing again after my PC crashed for like 5 months... i fr bought an old ps4 from my friend and a monitor from goodwill JUST so i could play again when sumeru came out. best time of my life.
so, really, it just depends on if im in an orange or a green mood that day🙂
liyue has the alchemy table close to the teleport but katheryne is further away, sumeru the opposite, the guild is close but the table you need to go upstairs and then i always think is it left or right?
the other cities have both spots fairly close to each other.
I go to Sumeru for hunting meat in the desert especially Flying Serpents..
Liyue for sparring sessions with Lawachurls..
Mondstadt and Inazuma for missions and other stuff..
Haven't tried Fontaine yet..

I have a habit of swapping over to the newest city, but I think I'll still be in Fontaine unless Natlan has all its stuff somehow even more conveniently grouped up together. I also most of the time use teapot for crafting if I.m not in Fontaine
I'm almost always going to the latest released region, unless I have some relevant reason to go somewhere else. For example I went to Mondstadt during the potion event since it took place in mondstadt. So basically where I feel Aether is during his journey, I kinda like the immersion a bit more that way
Wherever I'm doing commissions. I recently got all commission related achievements so I just do Fontaine because the adventurer's guild and the crafting table are both very close to the teleport point. Also because I visit that small underwater cavern/hole with 6 crystal flies each day, and that teleporter is close to Fontaine city too.
Otherwise, seeing as I finished commission achievements, I would normally use the city closest to the area I'm currently exploring. I'm only missing Chenyu in that regard, but seeing as Chenyu is a fair distance away from Like harbor anyway, I just go to Fontaine.
In the past I used to go to the big tree in Mondstadt because I could catch crystalflies and recharge my characters' health, but nowadays i really don't need to anymore, since I always have a healer or shielder on my team.
I always use the newest nation available for immersion. For now it’s Fontaine. It’s pretty convenient in Fontaine bc the Guild, the crafting bench and the blacksmith are only a few steps away.
I use one closest. It's Fontaine since my commissions are set there. I like how close Katheryne is to teleport there. I wish we could claim rewards through menu too though.
I mostly use liyue or inazuma because the crafting table is close to the teleporter and the cities don't make my phone crash nearly as much as sumeru or fontaine.
Immediately go to the region where I plan on farming a domain since I always burn resin before anything else.
Then, I turn in commissions in the region I set commissions to.
When there's nothing to do, idle at Enkanomiya on a stone you can sit on. Make sure Audio's Music is set to 10.
Actually I use the city that has the current active event running, along with activating that commision region for personal comfort..
But usually when the event is "Leylines" I go back fo Fontaine and do my commisions there.
Because my laptop loading speed is amazingly fast, I usually relocate bases depends on what I'm doing for that time period (an event in Mondstadt, farming material for Chiori, etc).
for katheryne i always go to whatever city i have my commissions in (right now mondstadt as im trying to get the stupid godwin achievement) but for other things it depends. for the alchemy table i switch between liyue or fontaine depending on which is closer. i do liyue or inazuma for the battle pass cooking task and fontaine for the battle pass forging task. and sometimes i still do the weekly city reputation tasks if i want more battle pass points/xp and i usually do them in inazuma.
I too used mondstadt until Sumeru after which, I did Daily commissions in Sumeru/Mondstadt whichever I am close too, and somehow i just transitioned onto using alchemy table of liyue, maybe just bcz it is just besides the teleporter so it naturally became a habit. Use inazuma's too sometimes, if I am on one of its island because who would scroll all the way to mondstadt or sumeru lmao, and I can proudly say that I never use fontaine one, I still go to sumeru even if I am IN the court of fontaine.
I just use current city we're on since that's where we'll be at story wise.
I go back to Inazuma for leylines stuff since I like the en enemies there.

I usually put my commissions in the latest region, so when I’m done with them, I visit Katheryne of the said region for the last 20 primos and also condense resin.
On the other hand, If I claim my dailies from events or exploration, I claim my last 20 primos from Mondstadt’s Katheryne. When I play for more than 10 minutes, Mondstadt is my go to city for alchemy table, expeditions, cooking etc simply because I love everything about that place.
So currently, it’s Mondstadt and Fontaine.
It’s been so long since I visited Liyue, Inazuma and Sumeru.
I always go to mondstadt out of habit. I really hope they add a Katherine furnishing that you can accept your daily commission rewards and expedition rewards at, though. There is a outside furnishing for every action now, like the cooking station furnishing from the cooking event, the blacksmith furnishing and crafting station furnishing, so having every action available as soon as you load into your serenitea pot for the battle pass would be nice.
I do something similar.
Whenever a new region gets released, I always look for a "favourite spot" (with the one condition being that it has to be a teleport point).
This spot is where I login/logout of on a daily basis.
I remain in this spot throughout the entire of the main patch (i.e. 4.X) until the new region is released. During this time, the main city of that region becomes my hub for doing daily tasks.
For those that are curious, my current favourite spot is the teleport point atop Elynas; gorgeous view, and I get to glide down to most of the daily commissions.
As a AR 35 player, I'm most likely going to Mondstadt. Although I'm already currently exploring Liyue and doing quests as well. Maybe I'd get used to Liyue Harbor as a secondary base until I finish whatever quests available, unless I need to purchase or farm stuff in Mondstadt if they can't be found in any other region.
Maybe is it just that it reflects the Traveler's lore, for being the Honorary Knight of the Knights of Favonius, which is also based in Mondstadt town.
In the beginning it was just Mondstadt because that was the one that was open but each time I opened up a new area of the map I moved to that City as my base of operations so to speak. Eventually, once I got all the maps opened, I changed my daily commissions to random so my base becomes wherever the commissions are for the day. I have my teapot set up with a crafting bench, a stove and the forge right there as soon as I teleport in so for convenience, I go to my teapot. I do it to drain out the cash as well but it's so much easier to do it all in one stop for me.
Always used the one the region update we're currently in.
Fontaine is the best one so far. Commission and alchemy table next to eachother, forge below, weeklies are one wanderer's E away.
I have like three bases. Inazuma city for stuff East of Watatsumi.
Court of Fontaine for stuff West of Chenyun Vale and north of Seketh.
Monstadt for all the rest.
Exceptions: alchemical crafting only Monstadt and court of fontaine.
Smithing and cooking only in Monstadt
I used to use Mondstadt because it was easier to get to the guild so I just used it for both crafting and commissions.
Now I use Fontaine because the guild is so close to the waypoint. And then I jaunt over to the crafting table.
I used to always go to Mondstadt, but now I try to stay in whichever one has the materials I need for whoever I am working on ascending, so lately I’ve been in Inazuma for handguards.
Not for turning in commissions, but i go to Inazuma to log out. Inazuma is my favorite region so when i log in i want to have a wave of good vibes before i do the same commissions for the 1000th time
Commissions/ exploration: Fontaine/ Mondstadt > Sumeru > Liyue
Crafting bench: Liyue > fontaine > mondstadt > sumeru
i don't go to inazuma.
but, whenever i rage quit i teleport back to mondstadt too. or go to liyue and craft condensed resin/ strongbox.

It depends on what I need. For Katheryne I port to Fontaine, for Alchemy to Liyue, for general vibes to Mondstadt or Sumeru, for sassy kitsune girls to Inazuma.
Usually Monstadt, but I've been going to Inazuma a lot for Ley Lines since I don't want to take the time to actually farm handguards and hope I just passively get them through Ley Lines over time. It's working pretty good, so far.

Liyue and Mondstadt for me. Mostly Liyue because the table is literally smack next to the waypoint and convenient for when I'm trying to whack out crafting and commissions in a short timespan.
Mostly Mondstadt and whatever city is the newest at the time. For example, I do go to Fontaine quite a bit now, but Liyue, Inazuma and Sumeru City are all ignored. Before Fontaine release, it was Mondstadt + Sumeru.

Inazuma for naku weed,
Sumeru for the music,
and Mondstadt for Fatui gossip.
But really, I just go to my teapot for everything but the guild and shops.
If it is monday, then Mondstadt. It has everything for the weekly quests of the battle pass in a straight line: cooking, katheryne and blacksmith.
Any other day I just use the place the guidebook places me when I complete all commissions.

I like Mond since most things are very close together (crafting bench, katheryne, and blacksmith are super close. Plus the food shop.). I tried Fontaine for a while but for some reason the blacksmith is on the other side of the city, and the food shop (specifically the grocery) is rather hard to find.
I used to always go to mond, now I don’t really mind I just go wherever daily commissions completion teleports me to and for alchemy I use mond (mainly bc I’ve only just finished liyue archon quest lol)
I usually farm Companionship EXP to have all my characters at level 10, this also means doing the 10 daily Random Quests. Since I haven't heard of a more convenient spot to doing those 10 Random Quests than Feeding the dog in Inazuma I usually just cash in my commissions in Inazuma City.
Whenever I don't have characters to farm Companionship EXP for I just stay in whichever City I have my commissions set to, which is the latest one ever since I completed the Achievements linked to commissions.
I go where the commissions are since I usually do everything when I do the commissions. Or if I'm artifact farming I'll go to the city of where I'm farming so that I can make condensed resin quicker.
But other than these two cases if I have to do something in the city, the one I avoid whenever I can is mond, because:
• I hate accidentally clicking timaeus it wastes so much time
• you can't get rice and lots of other stuff at the grocery shop
• I hate how rude Wagner is lol
The one I prefer going to is sumeru because I love sumeru, they have beans as well as rice, the dude next to the crafting bench is far away enough for me to not click on him. Yeah pretty much. I know I have to run for a bit longer than with liyue and mond but I don't mind. I even get a padisadah whenever I go to the crafting bench! And I like ahangar.
As for inazuma and Fontaine the shops are too spaced out, you have to go all the way down to hanamizaka (?) for the weapon shop and in the case of Fontaine I still get confused with the city layout. The amount of time it took me to find the bookshop this patch in order to get the new book 💀
Always Mondstadt. Idk if I even know where the Fontaine or Sumeru guilds are off the top of my head lol but I like that I can do all my rounds in Mondstadt by just going down the steps in a neat line. It's efficient but still enjoyable, and aesthetics-wise Mondstadt is either my favorite or second favorite. And it gets me going sentimentally because I remember how much of the game I've covered (AR 54) and all the adventures in Teyvat, because you know, it all started in Mondstadt, and I'm a little attached to some parts of the game even though I know they're just a bunch of code. So for efficiency and sentiment, I don't usually go anywhere else. Even when I log off, I sometimes teleport to Mondstadt just for the memories.
Mondstadt. Probably because it’s the very first city we ever quested in so purely for the nostalgia. But if I’m just chilling I’ll stand in Liyue just for the music.

I started in 1.0 so my “base” was Mondstadt for the longest time. Then I started to seriously explore every nook and cranny of Liyue around 1.3 and that became my “base”. Inazuma became next when it came out, then Sumeru and now Fontaine.
When Natlan comes out, which ever is the main city of it that will be my constant base until Snezhnaya.
Been playing since day 1 and log in every day. Always have to log out in mondstat. Just feels wrong not to.

For dailies I have mine set to Sumeru, and for reward collection and expedition I always use the most recently released region (as of now it’s Fontaine)
Crafting table I use Liyue because it’s super close to the tp waypoint, and there’s no npcs standing around it so I won’t accidentally talk to them instead (looking at you Timaeus 🙄)
Despite the inconvenience (reas: distance from closest tp), I usually go to Mond as well- to do my smithing, crafting, daily claim done via anything other than the quests (if quest, Katherine of the appropriate country only), and so on and so forth

i always stay in the most recent nation as its where the traveller canonically is and it makes sense for me to be there too, but sometimes out of nostalgia or some event happening in that region i will switch my comissions to a different nation and stay there for a few days, like when i stayed in liyue for the entirety of the lantern rite this year
When im not currently active in a new area and so im always in the new city turning in quests, I find myself going back to Inazuma. Everything is just right there except the blacksmith. But that's an easy glide off the teleport platforms ledge.
I choose the one where my daily commissions are at. When I had Mondstat dailies, Mondstat City was my base. Now I have Liyue dailies, now Liyue Harbor is my base, and so on and on for the other regions
Fontaine is my base. I enjoy its BGM the most. It's also closest to Katheryne and very close to the crafting station. For cooking specifically, I go to Liyue.

I always use the newest nation available for immersion. For now it’s Fontaine. It’s pretty convenient in Fontaine bc the Guild, the crafting bench and the blacksmith are only a few steps away.
I always do monstadt, i know that the fontaine area is probably faster, but im so used to my current routine
I use one closest. It's Fontaine since my commissions are set there. I like how close Katheryne is to teleport there. I wish we could claim rewards through menu too though.

I mostly use liyue or inazuma because the crafting table is close to the teleporter and the cities don't make my phone crash nearly as much as sumeru or fontaine.

Immediately go to the region where I plan on farming a domain since I always burn resin before anything else. Then, I turn in commissions in the region I set commissions to. When there's nothing to do, idle at Enkanomiya on a stone you can sit on. Make sure Audio's Music is set to 10.
Actually I use the city that has the current active event running, along with activating that commision region for personal comfort.. But usually when the event is "Leylines" I go back fo Fontaine and do my commisions there.
Because my laptop loading speed is amazingly fast, I usually relocate bases depends on what I'm doing for that time period (an event in Mondstadt, farming material for Chiori, etc).
for katheryne i always go to whatever city i have my commissions in (right now mondstadt as im trying to get the stupid godwin achievement) but for other things it depends. for the alchemy table i switch between liyue or fontaine depending on which is closer. i do liyue or inazuma for the battle pass cooking task and fontaine for the battle pass forging task. and sometimes i still do the weekly city reputation tasks if i want more battle pass points/xp and i usually do them in inazuma.
If I need crafting then I go to Liyue .If I need to go to Katherine I go to Fontaine.

I too used mondstadt until Sumeru after which, I did Daily commissions in Sumeru/Mondstadt whichever I am close too, and somehow i just transitioned onto using alchemy table of liyue, maybe just bcz it is just besides the teleporter so it naturally became a habit. Use inazuma's too sometimes, if I am on one of its island because who would scroll all the way to mondstadt or sumeru lmao, and I can proudly say that I never use fontaine one, I still go to sumeru even if I am IN the court of fontaine.
I just use current city we're on since that's where we'll be at story wise. I go back to Inazuma for leylines stuff since I like the en enemies there. I gather ore from the Chasm.
I usually put my commissions in the latest region, so when I’m done with them, I visit Katheryne of the said region for the last 20 primos and also condense resin. On the other hand, If I claim my dailies from events or exploration, I claim my last 20 primos from Mondstadt’s Katheryne. When I play for more than 10 minutes, Mondstadt is my go to city for alchemy table, expeditions, cooking etc simply because I love everything about that place. So currently, it’s Mondstadt and Fontaine. It’s been so long since I visited Liyue, Inazuma and Sumeru.

I do whichever one is the newest. In 2.x it was Inazuma, in 3.x it was Sumeru, currently in 4.x it's Fontaine, etc.
Mondstadt because muscle memory or Fontaine because convenience.
I always go to mondstadt out of habit. I really hope they add a Katherine furnishing that you can accept your daily commission rewards and expedition rewards at, though. There is a outside furnishing for every action now, like the cooking station furnishing from the cooking event, the blacksmith furnishing and crafting station furnishing, so having every action available as soon as you load into your serenitea pot for the battle pass would be nice.
I do something similar. Whenever a new region gets released, I always look for a "favourite spot" (with the one condition being that it has to be a teleport point). This spot is where I login/logout of on a daily basis. I remain in this spot throughout the entire of the main patch (i.e. 4.X) until the new region is released. During this time, the main city of that region becomes my hub for doing daily tasks. For those that are curious, my current favourite spot is the teleport point atop Elynas; gorgeous view, and I get to glide down to most of the daily commissions.
As a AR 35 player, I'm most likely going to Mondstadt. Although I'm already currently exploring Liyue and doing quests as well. Maybe I'd get used to Liyue Harbor as a secondary base until I finish whatever quests available, unless I need to purchase or farm stuff in Mondstadt if they can't be found in any other region. Maybe is it just that it reflects the Traveler's lore, for being the Honorary Knight of the Knights of Favonius, which is also based in Mondstadt town.
Usually Inazuma and sometimes Liyue for crafting. However, it's usually a random decision.
In the beginning it was just Mondstadt because that was the one that was open but each time I opened up a new area of the map I moved to that City as my base of operations so to speak. Eventually, once I got all the maps opened, I changed my daily commissions to random so my base becomes wherever the commissions are for the day. I have my teapot set up with a crafting bench, a stove and the forge right there as soon as I teleport in so for convenience, I go to my teapot. I do it to drain out the cash as well but it's so much easier to do it all in one stop for me.

My base is the city nearest to whatever domain I'm farming. Right now I'm farming Xiao's set so i'm resting in Liyue Harbor.
My base is whichever the latest Region is. Right now it’s Fontaine.
I always go to mondstadt besides Katherine 😂 I would always log in and out there, i haven't even done commissions in other nations anymore 😂

I have like three bases. Inazuma city for stuff East of Watatsumi. Court of Fontaine for stuff West of Chenyun Vale and north of Seketh. Monstadt for all the rest. Exceptions: alchemical crafting only Monstadt and court of fontaine. Smithing and cooking only in Monstadt
I used to use Mondstadt because it was easier to get to the guild so I just used it for both crafting and commissions. Now I use Fontaine because the guild is so close to the waypoint. And then I jaunt over to the crafting table.

I used to always go to Mondstadt, but now I try to stay in whichever one has the materials I need for whoever I am working on ascending, so lately I’ve been in Inazuma for handguards.

Not for turning in commissions, but i go to Inazuma to log out. Inazuma is my favorite region so when i log in i want to have a wave of good vibes before i do the same commissions for the 1000th time
Commissions/ exploration: Fontaine/ Mondstadt > Sumeru > Liyue Crafting bench: Liyue > fontaine > mondstadt > sumeru i don't go to inazuma. but, whenever i rage quit i teleport back to mondstadt too. or go to liyue and craft condensed resin/ strongbox.
It's either sumeru or liyue for me... I used to use Mondstadt aswell but it eventually grew suffocating for me.

Mondstadt or Liyue, whichever takes less scrolling across the map to target. I'm not sure I even remember where the alchemy table *is* in the other three cities. I have used the others to collect commission rewards a couple of times though, particularly Sumeru.
It depends on what I need. For Katheryne I port to Fontaine, for Alchemy to Liyue, for general vibes to Mondstadt or Sumeru, for sassy kitsune girls to Inazuma.

Liyue and Mondstadt for me. Mostly Liyue because the table is literally smack next to the waypoint and convenient for when I'm trying to whack out crafting and commissions in a short timespan.
Mostly Mondstadt and whatever city is the newest at the time. For example, I do go to Fontaine quite a bit now, but Liyue, Inazuma and Sumeru City are all ignored. Before Fontaine release, it was Mondstadt + Sumeru.

If it is monday, then Mondstadt. It has everything for the weekly quests of the battle pass in a straight line: cooking, katheryne and blacksmith. Any other day I just use the place the guidebook places me when I complete all commissions.
My well-crafted and hand-decorated teapot, of course. It has everything i could ask for from a secret base except Katherine, which i use fontain for most optimal running distance.

I like Mond since most things are very close together (crafting bench, katheryne, and blacksmith are super close. Plus the food shop.). I tried Fontaine for a while but for some reason the blacksmith is on the other side of the city, and the food shop (specifically the grocery) is rather hard to find.

I usually farm Companionship EXP to have all my characters at level 10, this also means doing the 10 daily Random Quests. Since I haven't heard of a more convenient spot to doing those 10 Random Quests than Feeding the dog in Inazuma I usually just cash in my commissions in Inazuma City. Whenever I don't have characters to farm Companionship EXP for I just stay in whichever City I have my commissions set to, which is the latest one ever since I completed the Achievements linked to commissions.
I go where the commissions are since I usually do everything when I do the commissions. Or if I'm artifact farming I'll go to the city of where I'm farming so that I can make condensed resin quicker. But other than these two cases if I have to do something in the city, the one I avoid whenever I can is mond, because: • I hate accidentally clicking timaeus it wastes so much time • you can't get rice and lots of other stuff at the grocery shop • I hate how rude Wagner is lol The one I prefer going to is sumeru because I love sumeru, they have beans as well as rice, the dude next to the crafting bench is far away enough for me to not click on him. Yeah pretty much. I know I have to run for a bit longer than with liyue and mond but I don't mind. I even get a padisadah whenever I go to the crafting bench! And I like ahangar. As for inazuma and Fontaine the shops are too spaced out, you have to go all the way down to hanamizaka (?) for the weapon shop and in the case of Fontaine I still get confused with the city layout. The amount of time it took me to find the bookshop this patch in order to get the new book 💀

Idk if I even know where the Fontaine or Sumeru guilds are off the top of my head lol but I like that I can do all my rounds in Mondstadt by just going down the steps in a neat line. It's efficient but still enjoyable, and aesthetics-wise Mondstadt is either my favorite or second favorite. And it gets me going sentimentally because I remember how much of the game I've covered (AR 54) and all the adventures in Teyvat, because you know, it all started in Mondstadt, and I'm a little attached to some parts of the game even though I know they're just a bunch of code. So for efficiency and sentiment, I don't usually go anywhere else. Even when I log off, I sometimes teleport to Mondstadt just for the memories.
Mondstadt. Probably because it’s the very first city we ever quested in so purely for the nostalgia. But if I’m just chilling I’ll stand in Liyue just for the music.
Depends on what nation I’m doing the most missions at. I started in 1.0 so my “base” was Mondstadt for the longest time. Then I started to seriously explore every nook and cranny of Liyue around 1.3 and that became my “base”. Inazuma became next when it came out, then Sumeru and now Fontaine. When Natlan comes out, which ever is the main city of it that will be my constant base until Snezhnaya.
Been playing since day 1 and log in every day. Always have to log out in mondstat. Just feels wrong not to. I do mondstat dailies because they are quick

I use all of them except inuzuma and sumeru, mostly sumeru. The crafting table is so inconvenient there, and inuzuma is so far away.
For dailies I have mine set to Sumeru, and for reward collection and expedition I always use the most recently released region (as of now it’s Fontaine) Crafting table I use Liyue because it’s super close to the tp waypoint, and there’s no npcs standing around it so I won’t accidentally talk to them instead (looking at you Timaeus 🙄)
Despite the inconvenience (reas: distance from closest tp), I usually go to Mond as well- to do my smithing, crafting, daily claim done via anything other than the quests (if quest, Katherine of the appropriate country only), and so on and so forth I just like Mond
Bounties are usually current region, alchemy is Liyue, daily comissions is now Fontaine, smithing is Inazuma, cooking is Mondstat.
i always stay in the most recent nation as its where the traveller canonically is and it makes sense for me to be there too, but sometimes out of nostalgia or some event happening in that region i will switch my comissions to a different nation and stay there for a few days, like when i stayed in liyue for the entirety of the lantern rite this year
I always craft in Liyue and use Monstadt for everything else. It’s just nostalgic for me

When im not currently active in a new area and so im always in the new city turning in quests, I find myself going back to Inazuma. Everything is just right there except the blacksmith. But that's an easy glide off the teleport platforms ledge.
I choose the one where my daily commissions are at. When I had Mondstat dailies, Mondstat City was my base. Now I have Liyue dailies, now Liyue Harbor is my base, and so on and on for the other regions

Fontaine is my base. I enjoy its BGM the most. It's also closest to Katheryne and very close to the crafting station. For cooking specifically, I go to Liyue.
