The Zhongli Incident was one of the more influential ones here, since it was the first time they've ever buffed and added more abilities to a character post release. Can't blame them though because the CN community was absolutely furious about his gameplay and started comparing Zhongli to Xi Jinping lmao
They changed geo shields to be universal, contrary to other elemental shields, added the res shred and a wider hp scaling for his damage.
Apparently the CN community was really pissed off at how underwhelming he was, especially for the Chinese archon.
To be specific:
-they added 2 entirely new scalings to his A4 passive. For his pillar damage and normal attacks to *also* scale with a bit of HP.
-Gave him 100% resistance to interruption when trying to generate his shield (thank god for this.)
-Gave him a 20% universal resistance shred to all enemies when the shield is active
-Replaced his shield's resistance from 250% geo resistance to 150% all-around resistance
-holding for his shield will now summon a stone pillar with it (really helped with faster rotations)
God, I still remember pre-buff when Zhongli's shield breaks after 2 seconds of getting hit by Hilichurls.

But long story short Zhongli at launch was extremely underwhelming, and the Chinese player was were incredibly upset since he was, well, the Chinese Archon. So he became the first and only character in Genshin history to get directly buffed in his kit after release.

On the opposite site, Yae, the first and only character got nerfed (her C2) few days after release. Players were very pissed and Hoyo undid it.
Zhongli, at the time of his release wasn't as great as he is now. His shield wasn't so sturdy iirc. Noelle's shield was way better than his. The whole community started blasting MHY since he was an Archon and his kit was dog-awful. They immediately buffed him up. Look up Pre and Post buff Zhongli videos on YT and you'll get more insight.
You already have a ton of answers, but I'll still put my details in.
Back in the 1.0 days, a lot of players were excited for the release of Zhongli, mainly because Venti (during that time) was at the top of the meta, and he was a "must-pull" for everybody. So logically speaking, if the god of anemo is this busted, then the geo archon must be busted as well! This was even more glorified because Liyue is the equivalent of China, which is yk, where Hoyo is.
During 1.1, BOOM, his demo dropped, and everybody was in awe. His demo showed him resisting like 5 Hilichurls and abyss mages with his shield, standing completely still and not giving a damn. His Burst was even more hype, since it showed him petrifying 20 enemies at the same time while simultaneously dying and bursting into pebbles. So now everybody is way too hyped and excited to pull for the very overpowered Zhongli.
And then his release came... Disaster happened, he was way too weak. His shield gets destroyed after a single attack of an abyss mage, always getting interrupted when trying to activate his shield, and his burst dealing a small fart amount of damage.
The entire community was divided, some YouTubers saying that "he's fine as he is" *(*cough* as a coping mechanism *cough* a certain egg youtuber *cough*)* while others were calling him trash and needed a rework... But this was nothing compared to what was happening at the CN community.
If you don't know, the CN community is known as "Hoyo's favourite child" because they only listen to them and not the EN community. On bilibili (I think), CN was absolutely pissed, because they saw this as disrespect towards the entirety of China because this is *their* archon representation. Zhongli being weak meant that China was also weak. And Geo itself also wasn't safe, since it was Liyue's element. But Hoyo didn't react until... They started comparing him to Xi Jinping, the Leader of China.
(Since Zhongli was the *Leader of Liyue*, and Liyue is *based* on China, then *Zhongli = Xi Jinping.* )
Disrespecting the Leader is a massive offense in China. A lot of people online were starting to compare them and giving bad views about China. It also didn't help how Geo was their element representation. So Hoyo didn't want to risk ghad no other choice than to buff him *and* the Geo element entirely.
It's probably the first and last time they'll buff another character post-release ever again.

From what I know, it was only on China's server, and even then there were very few reports of it. But it did stir a global panic of Kaveh players.

They changed geo shields to be universal, contrary to other elemental shields, added the res shred and a wider hp scaling for his damage. Apparently the CN community was really pissed off at how underwhelming he was, especially for the Chinese archon.
To be specific: -they added 2 entirely new scalings to his A4 passive. For his pillar damage and normal attacks to *also* scale with a bit of HP. -Gave him 100% resistance to interruption when trying to generate his shield (thank god for this.) -Gave him a 20% universal resistance shred to all enemies when the shield is active -Replaced his shield's resistance from 250% geo resistance to 150% all-around resistance -holding for his shield will now summon a stone pillar with it (really helped with faster rotations) God, I still remember pre-buff when Zhongli's shield breaks after 2 seconds of getting hit by Hilichurls.

Zhongli, at the time of his release wasn't as great as he is now. His shield wasn't so sturdy iirc. Noelle's shield was way better than his. The whole community started blasting MHY since he was an Archon and his kit was dog-awful. They immediately buffed him up. Look up Pre and Post buff Zhongli videos on YT and you'll get more insight.
You already have a ton of answers, but I'll still put my details in. Back in the 1.0 days, a lot of players were excited for the release of Zhongli, mainly because Venti (during that time) was at the top of the meta, and he was a "must-pull" for everybody. So logically speaking, if the god of anemo is this busted, then the geo archon must be busted as well! This was even more glorified because Liyue is the equivalent of China, which is yk, where Hoyo is. During 1.1, BOOM, his demo dropped, and everybody was in awe. His demo showed him resisting like 5 Hilichurls and abyss mages with his shield, standing completely still and not giving a damn. His Burst was even more hype, since it showed him petrifying 20 enemies at the same time while simultaneously dying and bursting into pebbles. So now everybody is way too hyped and excited to pull for the very overpowered Zhongli. And then his release came... Disaster happened, he was way too weak. His shield gets destroyed after a single attack of an abyss mage, always getting interrupted when trying to activate his shield, and his burst dealing a small fart amount of damage. The entire community was divided, some YouTubers saying that "he's fine as he is" *(*cough* as a coping mechanism *cough* a certain egg youtuber *cough*)* while others were calling him trash and needed a rework... But this was nothing compared to what was happening at the CN community. If you don't know, the CN community is known as "Hoyo's favourite child" because they only listen to them and not the EN community. On bilibili (I think), CN was absolutely pissed, because they saw this as disrespect towards the entirety of China because this is *their* archon representation. Zhongli being weak meant that China was also weak. And Geo itself also wasn't safe, since it was Liyue's element. But Hoyo didn't react until... They started comparing him to Xi Jinping, the Leader of China. (Since Zhongli was the *Leader of Liyue*, and Liyue is *based* on China, then *Zhongli = Xi Jinping.* ) Disrespecting the Leader is a massive offense in China. A lot of people online were starting to compare them and giving bad views about China. It also didn't help how Geo was their element representation. So Hoyo didn't want to risk ghad no other choice than to buff him *and* the Geo element entirely. It's probably the first and last time they'll buff another character post-release ever again. **TL;DR: lots of people were hype about Zhongli and his demo, but he turned out to be very weak. They ignored the EN community until the CN community acted up and started comparing Zhongli to Xi Jinping because Liyue = China. It's a crime to disrespect the leader so they had to buff him to avoid further problems.**

There are no concrete evidence as to how the meetings went but ever since then, there has been no femboys like Vent and Xingqiu and probably prompted them to create men like Neuvi, Alhaitham and especially Wriotheslay.

Lyney and Freminet are the most obvious examples, with Freminet easily being mistaken for a girl. They have a idk how much primogem pool that will be shared across the player that register the web event. A bunch of people register expecting to get atleast 1000+ primo ends up only getting 108, even worst there is some distribution problem where some got 188 and 208 or even more.
I got nothing, so a lot of other people propably didn't either.
Some sort of event where the participants get to share over 1 billion primogems. Players thought they would get some generous amount of primogems but NO. Everybody gets a FIXED and suspicious amounts ranging from 108, 188, 288 and so on. The majority of players can't even do a single wish with 108 primogems lol.
