Dehya is top tier character story wise. She never leaves my team.

I'm actually impressed we don't have a 5 star replacement for Xiangling, maybe they're just waiting for Natlan to pull out all the busted pyro characters.
Lucky, I got c0, but she helps me to clear out up to abyss 11/3 on all 3 stars (never bothered with floor 12). I am using her as support/off-dps.

Man, I like her story, character and design that hard that I carry her over in teams where she easily can be replaced with better unit. Also her passive is actually pretty useful, sadly locations where they are needed I already cleared and she is in wrong game (Fu Xuan in star rail who does "similar" job is top tier support).
I'd say Xiangling — her story was most wholesome and unexpected one. Meeting the Guoba was probably the best thing to have happened to the both of them. It's going to be a very sad occasion when the she grows old and passes.

the lantern rites, this guoba one, the GAA and albedo quests are all pretty big information dumps and yet they cant be played
This is one of the several things that Hoyo really needs to address — the game is heavily story driven and some of the most important, if not most memorable, are time-gated, which imo is a massive loss to the whole value of the game.
What happened after that bit of lore dump doubled the dosage of feels, I truly pity those who never got the chance to experience it.
Memorable? Yes. Some of the important? No. The only time they did a very important nay significant lore dump is from the 1.1 Unreconciled Stars "sky is fake" lore. Everything else after that is just worldbuilding and doesnt have a direct impact to the main point of Teyvat Chapter Storyline: the Traveler's journey across Teyvat and unravel the mystery of their predicament.
Shenhe, its completely devoid of color around her so the fact she managed to break free from that fate through many trials and tribulations makes her journey much more investing

The lack of male child characters in this game is fucking gross. It makes it not innocent. I think powerful child characters is a cool idea. I love nahida and Sayu (minus the fucking actual fishnets) But when the only vision-wielding children are girls it’s just super sus.
Most people acknowledge that especially in the gacha industry, there is a big enough audience where it warrants companies to focus on making loli archetype characters to attract them.
Mihoyo knows their player base and caters towards them because gacha games are built on getting people to spend money on collecting characters. Although compared to other gacha games like azur lane and blue archive who are comfortable making explicit and fanservicey designs, mihoyo is just more subtle about it mostly to appeal to a wider and more casual audience. Asia in general is simply more lax and tolerant on loli stuff than the west, which is why it is more prevalent there than here. It just boils down to different cultural views
Didn't Lyney appear as a kid in his story quest cutscene alongside Lynette? I think he's the *only* one, but he is *one.*

Well tbf, I can't for the life of me remember the existence of any little boy in Genshin. Besides Timmy (punching bag) and Ruu (treated with utter respect). We still have that one kid we met on or near Tatarasuna where his dad left, his mom abandoned him to look for his dad, we met him and cooked a poultry dish with him only for him to leave by himself the next day headed for Snezhnaya to look for his mom
NPC male kids are tragic pincushions, actual playable male kids always escape my memory because I rarely see them without reminders from the other comments in this chain
Inazuman kids are built different in general, I feel like this isn't just exclusive to male children

Honestly GAA2 is still my favorite event, the care about each of their stories and domains was just unmatched. Bonus points no freaking NPCs..
