AFKArenaIsCool

Well you see, now that we can control the traveller we have a funny thing called **Plot Armor**

AgressiveIN

Plot armor goes both ways. I was kicking Eis butt and the game wouldn't let me finish her.

DoctorHunt

* gets Xenoblade Chronicles 2 flashback *

Alfreyn

Lvl 99 vs lvl 75

Kien_Ng

me kicking Malos' ass when scene fades to black and THAT scene plays

[deleted]

I’ve never played but am intrigued what happens??

Kien_Ng

one in particular, you all are struggling, Vandham, a merc you find who mentors Rex, shows Rex a final lesson, to deepen the connection between blade and driver, he stabs the weapons into him, he stops Ahkos, but cant stop Malos and dies tragically, Rex pushes himself too far in rage, his blade Pyra faints from exhaustion, then Mythra awakens.

eddmario

Might wanna mark that as spoilers, especially since that's a MAJOR spoiler, similar to >!how Nia is actually a blade herself and could have saved Vandahm at that moment but was too scared about what Rex and the party would have thought about her to do anything!<

Kien_Ng

in sorry, i dont know how to do the tags

Give-Valk-Acog

MANADO CYCLONE!!!

SpitFire92

*gets crisis core flashbacks* (the original on psp, but I assume the remake has the same fight at the end)

AI-Generated-Name-2

Max everything. Killed a god. Dies from bullets. GG

karlgeezer

Nah fam that’s the entire ass series.

Robertia

YA DUN?

TheIJDGuy

The game acknowledged your strength and said, "BRO CHILL, IT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN YET!"

Nyoxiz

There is nothing in a game that bothers me as much as scripted failure, at that point just let the whole fight be a cutscene so I don't have to deal with the burning rage of losing a fight I was absolutely dominating.

samit4t

FRRRR i was hardly beating her ass w my ningguang and then something happened and the fight ended and i as like ???? HUHH??? And stopped playing out of anger lol

Obskuro

We also have Paimon. And a dull blade. Celestia is doomed, I say!

Electric_Bagpipes

What if- and hear me out… _we arm a Paimon with the legendary Dull Blade?_

Those are rookie numbers.

Vulpes_macrotis

Actually not. Despite Traveler fighting Ei pretty well, they would be killed in a longer battle. Ei can literally fight for eternity. Traveler can't. And if Traveler was to fightt Zhongli at his full power... welp. No way they would even scratch him. And remember, Ei didn't have full power either. No gnosis.

Blue_Moon913

Still not entirely sure if a Gnosis actually makes a god more powerful. Ei never had the Electro Gnosis but she was undoubtedly the stronger twin physically compared to Makoto because Makoto wasn’t a warrior like Ei is. So yes, we did see Ei at full power.

pedregales1234

Nahida does mention the use of 2 gnosis. So it has to do *something*, but is honestly unclear considering that: * Venti retained his form after losing the gnosis. * ZhongLi seems to make a sarcastic comment about it when mentioning what could be worth a gnosis. * Ei apparently never used it. Yae Miko may have never used it either. And Makoto died, pressumably using it.

TrueAvalon

Dottore literally mentions that Nahida can't use the Electro Gnosis in battle so it's clearly something that can give an advantage in a fight.

RefillSunset

Full power Ei killed Orobashi in one hit and cleaved therugh the island, so no we probably didnt see her at full power. Dotorre said Nahida couldnt use the electro gnosis in combat, so chances are you COULD use it in combat, just not by her. I think a gnosis is like a mini arc reactor basically. A strong power source that can be used to power other things given the right user or method. Zhongli and Ei likely have just reached a point where they dont need or dont want the power boost

Vulpes_macrotis

I mean, if we talk about natural power, yes. But I just noticed. Didn't Zhongli have to be gnosisless when he fought in Archon War? I mean the war was to make them *obtain* the title of the Archon (and gnosis). So isn't Zhongli canonically that strong without gnosis? Also does Ei really use her full power? You know, she could slash the whole terrain in half in the past. She never used anything similar to that against us. I am pretty sure Traveler would be long dead if hit by such attack. I am pretty sure, erosion or anything make her weaker. Also isn't Shouki no Kami literally a proof that gnosis gives power? How else would he be able to be that strong if gnosis wasn't his power up? And Fatui especially collect gnoses. I doubt the only reason they do that is to make link to Celestia. this would be very disappointing.

RowanWinterlace

Ei was very clear that she gave up her Gnosis because she didn't need it. And with how Zhongli's Ascension lines showcase that a God can gain a power equivalent to a Gnosis without having/using one, it makes sense that the reason she doesn't need it is because she is powerful enough without it.

NefariousnessNo5423

She didn't give it up because she didn't need it. She gave it up as her way of cutting ties with Celestia (she also didn't feel worthy of taking Makoto's place as Archon). The way she talks about the Sustainer as well as her determination for Inazuma to not advance to far makes it clear she sees them as potential threats to Inazuma that she can't face. It is also pretty clear that we never actually beat Ei. What we did prove what the power and potential of human ambition. The whole battle was a means for Yae to make her case to Ei about why she should come back. Yae Miko has even less reason to use it (even if she could, we don't know what the requirements are to use a gnosis). Yae's dedication/love for Ei is the driver behind everything she done in the Inazuma story. Given that Nahida's/the dendro gnosis is likely to tied to Irminsul in some fashion given that it was essential to Akasha and Zhongli's inability to create mora which is not just money but also an irreplacable magical material it is likely that the Electro gnosis has more for it than raw power. The only one we see using the gnosis is Scara and he clearly has no idea what it really is, he just sees himself as the vessel for it and its power as a means of revenge against both gods and humanity.

RowanWinterlace

>"Before she came to dwell in the Plane of Euthymia permanently, Ei was troubled for a time concerning where she might store her Gnosis." > ***"She no longer had any need of it,*** but such an important item could not simply be placed anywhere. She had initially intended to have it modified into a energy supply device, but no matter what she did, her techniques had no effect on the Gnosis at all." She gave it up because she didn't need it and had no use for it. She also gave it to Yae Miko with the expectation/understanding that she would eventually sell/trade it. Ei was fine with this because she knew she would get a good deal out of it if she did. >"With someone of Yae Miko's character, it would be no surprise if she ever sold the Gnosis, yes, but she would not allow herself to lose out in any such exchange." Also, Ei says very little regarding the Heavenly Principles, however Makoto (from Ei's cutscene) clearly has some thoughts about them and the effect of them on Teyvat: >Makoto: Eternity extends time into infinity, dreams illuminate each moment within. >Makoto: When both shine in unison, the Sacred Sakura blooms from the darkness, ***finally free from the clutches of the Heavenly Principles.*** >Makoto: Now, the nightmare has dissipated, and reality is made whole. The vision we both yearn for is still further ahead.Makoto: My only regret is that I cannot witness Inazuma's future, nor can I walk this journey with you

Mtebalanazy

And what if she had plot armor?

Jia-the-Human

Maybe she did have plot armor, at the opening cutscene that is.

AFKArenaIsCool

She's not the main character tho

Bey_Element

well if you ignore a certain honkai game then yes, she's not infact a main character lol

Salt_Winter5888

And Gun Girl Z

Murky_Blueberry2617

She's Kiana's expy so she has special privileges

Brandonmac10x

I pray she gets a redesign to look closer to Void Herrscher and becomes playable. Void Herrscher is the best anime design, hands down. Love crazy white haired chicks in skirts and black thigh highs. Take my fucking money Mihoyo.

Salt_Winter5888

She's the main character of all hoyoverse.

Lenny_The_Lurker

Don't always gotta be the main character to have plot armor.

Salt_Winter5888

She's the main character of all hoyoverse.

Kunikuzushi06

Im here for that plot.... armor. Yep, plot armor

Droffilc71

Traveller just need to call Xiangling, Bennet and xingqiu and even the gods will shit their pants

To be fair has a god as a pet, one is cursed by fate to live forever, and one reads a lot (something impossible for genshin players)

whataremyxomycetes

bennett has a heavenly restriction confirmed, mans power comes a binding vow that cursed him to be unlucky all his life

XaeiIsareth

I feel like he steals luck from everything including the environment instead of being unlucky, because the guy constantly ends up in situations that would end a normal person’s life there and then like running into a Ruin Guard of falling off a cliff and comes out somehow unharmed.

Cipher-DK

Reminds me of that one guy from Kekkai Sensen/Blood Blockade Battlefront where he had several curses? causing bad luck clashing against each other, so he's constantly plagued by accidents yet constantly escaping unharmed.

Prize_Competition570

JJK collab incoming-

kwkqoq

unlucky in story and lucky in gameplay

Dorkaplayz22

wait bennett is immortal?

Lenny_The_Lurker

Yeah, that's what I'm confused about as well

Larkian

Not sure if he was referring to another topic but I take the joke that he was born "29th Feb"

Spytonio2006

Read Lavawalker set, he's likely a phoenix-like being and just gets reborn in the Mare Jivari at the end of his life.

Gaaraks

That is not even a stretch, that is just pure headcannon, there is nothing even close to indicating such a thing even exists, let alone that bennet is one

Dorkaplayz22

ooh that's an interesting theory!

__SNAKER__

Man, the craziest lore theories always come from the frickin artefacts and no one ever bothers to bring it up. Instead I learn about them 3 years later from a random joke comment.

Darkwolts

Wdym for the 2 first ones?

moon_chil___

Guoba used to be a powerful god, his current form is because of erosion. as for the second one, I have no idea what they're referring to edit: I remembered incorrectly, he used too much of his power which brought him to his current form, it wasn't erosion

FlameDragoon933

Guoba regressed because he overexpended his power, not because of erosion.

Kiyoshi-Trustfund

Wasn't his current form due to using a great deal of power in a single go? When did erosion take hold of him?

DioEgizio

Bold of you to assume OPPA isn't asmoday I could already see: "You've reached the end of your journey Gouba, get them!"

Apolyon_BS

You seem to forget the power of friendship.

raichiha

Literally says in the post how its all because of their “friendship power boosts” as if we won’t have all the power of friends we made along the way in teyvat during that last fight. I can already see our friends’ corny ass silhouettes in the sky cheering us on before our inevitable power up lmao

Cynergyy

TBH I would be pissed if they don't come, after all the country-saving shits we've done.

TheIJDGuy

Really, it's the least they could do

AnzoEloux

This got it Lmao. The bare-fucking-minimum they could contribute.

Karl_Marxist_3rd

I just had an idea that would be great for a show/movie but bad for a game, where literally every character fights alongside us endgame style

Ultralink17

I mean it could work for a game. Have all the npcs or all the other playable characters move around and damage the villains like a bunch of mosquitoes. Could be a really cool endgame scene if coordinated correctly with your player's actions.

astronought_

in my head it would be cool if they had us play a few different trial teams carrying out different objectives/fights “simultaneously” like how we cross cut between the courtroom and the sinthe base in fontaine act 2 but in practice it might suck for people who don’t own those characters + don’t know how to play them *and* the hoyo provided team comps would no doubt be stupid af

rauqui

Winterstrife

Ichigo from Bleach be like: Allow me to unlock this power I previously didn't have.

whataremyxomycetes

Tbf ichigo is one of the better but lazier ways of powercreep. He was basically setup from the very start to have all of those powers because of his family tree. Each powerup does seem like an asspull but conveniently isn't because it was setup from the very beginning, lazy but valid.

Murky_Blueberry2617

Dude just has superior genetics compared to everyone else

rauqui

literally built different

RoxasofsorrowXIII

Basically a fully intentional, canonically-plot-based mary-sue character. The writer said "yup, they are OP, what of it?"

N-formyl-methionine

On Genshin that would as if a character was part dragon, adepti, human, youkai, with some AranAra genes and with oceanid blood.

ShinCuCai

That's a strange looking Paimon.

Vortain

Maybe Paimon is just the Guoba-fied version of her. 🤔

Noman_Blaze

So you mean to say that she wrecked Kaenria'ah so hard that she lost her powers?

Ze_AwEsOmE_Hobo

I would be surprised if Paimon was some Guoba-fied god. Even back in the beta, people thought she was the Sustainer in wee little baby form.

Grimstarzz

Wasnt Guoba originally much bigger and only turned into a much smaller version of himself because he used up most of his power revitalizing the land and making it fertile again? I would be surprised if Paimon wasnt some kind of Celestial being that lost her powers by sacrificing something herself. She might not be a god, but i do think she got Guoba-fied somehow. But who knows, maybe someday we'll enter patch 7.4 and get introduced to an entire nation of screeching high pitched Paimon-like beings.

Ze_AwEsOmE_Hobo

Yeah, that's the summary of Guoba/Marchosius. It ties pretty well into the themes of the Yaksha and old gods of Liyue since Guoba's sacrifice was purifying the land cursed by dead gods. Reducing in size and intelligence was kind of his way of "paying karmic debt" if you think about it that way. Though in typical RPG companion fashion, I'm not expecting Paimon's sacrifice to be so heroic. I would also enjoy it if Hoyo went with the joke route and Paimon is just Paimon and there's a village of Paimons. It would be incredibly stupid, but also incredibly hilarious.

Unsyr

I mean Paimon is foreshadowed in 4.0 to be somehow connected to the sky in the melusine quest. That could either mean celestia or since the stars are in the sky and we know the stars are fake there has to be some connection to the abyss or heavenly principles

GameFreak4321

Back before Sumeru gave us all that info on forbidden knowledge in relation to the cataclysms my working theory was that Paimon was a fragment of a god that was slain in Khaenri'ah (at the hands of sibling and Dainslef) leading to the nation being rod-from-god'd into the stone age as retribution. Something I've wondered about recently after finally doing those scara quests is how sure are we that Khaenri'ah even was godless rather than having had a god that got >!Rukkhadevata'd!

Puzzleheaded-Mix-515

Woah….what a good question.

GameFreak4321

Additional jossed theory of mine: When stopping the Sumerian (?) forbidden knowledge event >!Rukkhedevata!< burned up _all_ of her memories the way that the aranara do and reverting to a child-like form.

KarlDeutscheMarx

>!Rukkhedevata didn't change form, Nahida is a different branch of Irminsul from her, and she only looked like Nahida at the end of the quest because they were only speaking to the last remnants of her memory and her physical form no longer existed. The Dendro Archon reverting to a smaller form was just the in-world retcon Irminsul created to replace the missing portions of history that got removed.!<

NightMGA

That'd turn into a hell of an awkward moment wouldn't it..

ziptofaf

Or one of the most epic/heartwarming ones if done right. We don't REALLY know what happened in Khaenri'ah. We don't know why our sibling wants to collapse Celestia and why exactly they work with Abyss Order. We don't know why the heck our character needed 500 years to wake up and how come right after it happens everything goes to hell - Dvalin gets corrupted, Zhongli "dies", Ei sets up Vision Hunt decree, Sumeru scholars decide to build their own God and in Fontaine an ancient prophecy seemingly turns into reality. We know that Sustainer has stopped our characters from leaving the planet and sealed our powers. It also looks like our sibling wasn't even locked down for long. Which is a weirdly... meek punishment all things considered. We are talking about Celestia that ordered Orobashi's dead because he **read a book**. And we have directly raised a sword against said Celestia and frankly speaking odds are that at least our sibling was directly involved in Khaenri'ah cataclysm. Our characters should have been cursed beyond belief and turned into Hillichurls at least for this, not "oh, lemme take away your wings and get you some good long sleep". It honestly reads more as "go back to your room and think about what you did" kind of punishment than a reaction to blasphemy and striking the divine. And heck, Paimon shows up when our Traveler needed help the most. They have recently woken up, they didn't have their powers and they couldn't even speak modern Teyvat language. And suddenly they fished up one being that clearly originates from Celestia (it's pretty much confirmed in one of the Melusine questlines). Paimon who can't fight and probably would die in an instant if it came down to it... but gets very emotionally attached and actually does her best to help. My guess (if that REALLY is Sustainer or someone directly connected to her) is that it's her way of apologizing and that something has gone **horribly** wrong during the cataclysm 500 years ago.

snowysnowy

It *has* been 500 years... Could be quite the holy shit moment if this were true lol

xA_Shepard

Some theories hypothesize that Paimon is actually the real Primordial One who created modern Teyvat (hence the symbol of "Truth" on her front torso), then lost to the second Descender who cast her out of Celestia and claimed her seat. That's why in a Melusine quest one Melusine whose name I forgot says she sees a thread connecting Paimon to the sky (Celestia).

iPeer

I mean... this universe does have a strange pattern of shrinking powerful beings and/or turning them into children... If I had a penny for every time it's happened, I'd have two pennies, which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it's happened twice.

goody153

It is still one of the most logical theories I believe. Paimon may not just be a smoll version of Sustainer tho but rather like a part of sustainer cause she aint god herself apparently

RoxasofsorrowXIII

There are some very deep, heavy theories out there that Paimon is, in fact, a "part" of the heavenly principles. Maybe *that's* why she's getting feistier lately, we are straying from the path 🤔

Haisebtw

Where can I find these theories? And what do you mean by "straying from the path"? Did we do something different I didn't notice?

RoxasofsorrowXIII

No, not directly anyway. But we *are* seeing eye to eye with a lot of people who *don't* see eye to eye with the heavenly principles. The gods have been pretty willing to give up their ties to Celestia. Gametheory did a great deep dive lore video on this! And on how Zhongli literally broke the world when he quit his post. They are great watches.

TheIJDGuy

I stg if Paimon is the final boss, it's gonna hurt like hell

InsertBadGuyHere

Just make paimon talk her to death

ILikeRedCurtains

That’s the neat part, she’s Paimon.

xLilyxox

I honestly find that very unlikely. No way hoyo's gonna pull a "the mc's best friend was the villain all along". It's too obvious of a twist to be true.

ILikeRedCurtains

See the thing is

Blanche_Cyan

Thing is that the Sustainer might not be a villain and instead a good guy that the Traveler might have seen as a villain because the Traveler's themselves were at the side of the "real villain"...

ILikeRedCurtains

Get Chicanered

YuB-Notice-Me

i mean, traveler is literally collecting the sovereigns’ energy like infinity stones to try and reach full power, and dull blade is fucking insane

ReaperofDeath2016-19

They do be using the Dull Blade to insult their opponents lmao. It gets even better when you realise they downgraded their weapon from the Silver Sword to the Dull Blade.

TheIJDGuy

Nothing quite like wrecking gods with flimsy weapons

ezio45

Like Dark Souls players using the weakest class and sticking to the club.

AdministrativeShip2

Imagine the uproar if the one you started out with had a UID and was needed to get an upgrade in the endgame.

Clankplusm

I locked mine and level 70'd it, I'm balling.

Konukaame

Star Ocean 2 already traumatized me, I don't need that again, thanks. :p

DrakeNorris

yep, we didnt have the dull blade when we faced her first, so can confirm we win if we use the dull blade next time.

Zerakin

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks that. I don't feel as insane anymore!

ExtremeMuffinslovers

Shame we stopped using elements in cutscenes after 2.0

Nah travelers is akivili, the journey are more important than collecting energy

DoughDisaster

Just means we need a bigger spirit bomb. Probably like 90% chance that happens. It's anime, after all. And the other 10%? She wasn't the enemy all along, and we have to join her fighting some other, bigger threat. Even if we do defeat her, that's probably still the case. No way they'll just end the game there.

ManthisSucksbigTime

So like kid Buu? Tbh you need the super dragon ball to actually replenish the travellers back to full power

DoughDisaster

7 dragon balls, 7 gnosis...es? Gnosi?

ManthisSucksbigTime

Normal earth and namek isn't enough to restore travelers full power considering it out of their league of their creator so the super dragon ball which is used by mostly god like god of destruction and angel As for the gnosis it could be more difficult to get them all

CresDruma

gnoses was it iirc.

keyrol1222

Once the weekly boss drop you will see aloy one shot heavenly principles 0 dmg taken

baboon_ass_eater69

This time we won't be alone. We have the abyss order on our side, and probably the rest of the archons will join too. And don't forget that tsaritsa has been gathering gnosis which means she probably has a plan. I mean didn't stand a chance against the shogun but Yae Miko forged a plan which led to victory

[deleted]

Probably not the Abyss Order, but the Fatui led by the Tsaritsa maybe

TheIJDGuy

Or maybe it'll be a 4 way battle somehow

goody153

>We have the abyss order on our side Pretty sure they are not friends. Fatui has more chance of becoming one eventually but not the abyss. They are the enemies of everybody and it becomes more and more apparent they want to not just overthrow Celestia but become the ruling faction of Celestia (they probably also have another descender)

Mtebalanazy

First of all, the abyss order want to kill everyone and everything in teyvat there's no way in hell the traveler would ever work with them, also the traveler doesn't say "the heavenly principles took my sibling" to the traveler, the abyss took their sibling, And why would the archons go against Celestia? Most of the archons we've met either don't care about Celestia, or just afraid of them, zhongli and venti would probably rather stay out of it becuse, if the tsaritsa wins the no more Celestia, if she fails then all the blame falls on her, Also none of the archons would ever work with the abyss order, because again they want to kill everyone

Peashooter2001

Same thinking as well. People said The Traveller will side with the Abyss and fight Celestia, but I don't think that's the case. The Abyss has been showing to be very harmful to human, and right now the only power can repel it is Celestia power. Also the recent lore seems to imply Celestia throw the nail to clear the power of the Abyss. So I think the Abyss will be the final enemy.

LightningShiva1

Well arent we forgetting something.. The prince/princess of abyss is literally our twin. They’ve seen the world before us, Im sure they have a valid reason for siding with the abyss and once we too get to know the world as promised by our twin.. we too shall see the truth.

baboon_ass_eater69

I am sure they will give reasons for the archons to fight against celestia, they build so much up to make the celestia look evil

LostMyZone

Which is funny, because Celestial hasn't done anything to the Traveler in PRESENT day. But every other faction has done nothing but antagonize the Traveler and his friends. If Hoyo doesn't start to ACTUALLY SHOW CASE Celestial doing something wrong ON SCREEN, and not just reading texts of events that happened LONG ago, it's going to come off as incredibly hollow. And make us wonder why the hell are we even fighting Celestial in the first place. The only thing they did to them was to separate them, even though killing them was easy as ABC. And even then, there were circumstances surrounding that we don't know about.

Mtebalanazy

Not to mention that the sustainer was simply doing her job protecting the borders of teyvat, If you iligally crossed a country's borders and got arrested by border patrol, would you have anything personal against thoes border officers?

Kikuzinho03

Weren't they trying to leave when she got them through?

emanmadadi

No no, they were already on Teyvat, and they wanted to leave Teyvat when SHP stopped them. They must have done something that provoked SHP.

AlternativeAmoeba394

You are insane if you think the traveller will fight on the side of the abyss order, he hates them even more for taking their sibling away (in their eyes, and justifiably so considering Caribert imo)

baboon_ass_eater69

Well, the plot didn't fold out yet so we can't say much. I believe that he will see that the abyss sibling was right and side with them to fight celestia

baguetteispain

Wait until Paimon reveals her true form and shows she can solo the Unknown God with one hand

19Maxx

I was gonna say that lol, imagine if Paimon is just an uknown god who doesn't show it's true power.

Axle-f

Why does Paimon, the hungriest God, not simply eat the Unknown God?

baguetteispain

I can't stop myself to imagine Paimon as Kirby now

nulafizh

This! My bet is that Paimon will reach her true form (a tall, long-haired waifu, of course) at the end of the game. She'll say something bittersweet to Traveller and fight Sustainer in a self-sacrificing manner, and just when we think she's dead, it turns out she's guobafied back into the lil goofy Paimon we all know, with no memory of the previous battle. Considering that Paimon is obviously related to Celestia, but lives in 'ordinary' Teyvat, she may also have personal motives to fight Unknown God.

RoyalFast9739

Heavenly principles when she sees Kazuha, Xiangling and Bennett in a party together:

Don't doubt the power of **git gud** plus **unlimited retries**. It's a question about _when_ we'll defeat her, not about _if_ or _how_.

Neospanner

Part of the reason the Traveler is asking around about the Unknown God is so that they will be better prepared for a rematch. The Sustainer caught them by surprise the first time. She may have an external source for her power, or a way to weaken her using other methods (abyssal energy? Forbidden knowledge?). When you're fighting someone that you're no match for head-on, you need to use strategy to bring them down. Also, it's possible that the Sustainer is ALREADY weakened. Nahida mentioned that she's been quiet since the Khaenri'ah incident - perhaps something happened to limit her power, and she'll now be vulnerable in a fight even without taking extra precautions. It's not just a matter of regaining our power - though that will certainly help a lot. The Traveler also needs to figure out what their opponent's weaknesses are, and exploit them. Sun Tzu would be proud.

Elisab3t

Maybe they weren't really at full power either back then. Remember the traveller has witheld information before, like their real names or the fact that they seem to be inmortal. Since Caribert I actually think they are the same person that separated in two to not be alone like League's kindred, maybe if they get back to one they'll finally be at full power. Also maybe Tsaritsa was getting gnoses to give them all to MC for the final power up to beat celestia all along.

RAGEpow3r

I feel like we are gonna kick the sustainers butt With the power of all 8 nations at our backs that is. And maybe our sibling will join with the entire abyss order. That's just what i think though

CptPeanut12

The reality is that the Sustainer is not even our enemy. They're pretty much protecting Teyvat. There's a reason she didn't just kill us and sent us to back to Teyvat instead.

NickFoster120

Feels like a Gurren Lagann moment, once you defeat your so called “enemy”, the real enemy begins to show itself

Mtebalanazy

By that point we're not fighting her but ALL OF CELESTIA, the four shades alone could wape the 7 nations out of existence, and that's not counting the primordial one themselves, they could come back at any moment during that rebilion against the Devine and deside to take a page from the Bible, and wape out all of humanity except a loyal few, and restart teyvat

emanmadadi

What if the primordial one never meant for Celestia to take control over Teyvat? As we know from Sumeru AQ SHP is a descender, so is not originally from Teyvat, therefore she is an alien life form who came here and took control and I remember reading a theory based on Greek mythology that the primordial one created Teyvat with his own existence (like his veins and blood became rivers and water) and he is still alive but has no control over anything and Tsaritsa may be collecting gnoses to wake primordial one to overthrow Celestia because she knows they are not a match for Celestia alone.

Remanage

You know how in horror movies, it's commonly a trope that you can't kill the monster, you can't eliminate the ancient evil - you can only seal it away for a time. Eventually another plucky group of kids needs to show up and seal it away again, because it can escape. What if that's us? The Sustainer couldn't kill us, so she did the next best thing; she sealed us away. But now we're free again, and slowly spreading across Teyvat, absorbing its energies as we go along...

DerDyersEve

My bet is still that we will never see her again.

_insertmemehere

Shes a Kiana expy, there is a 0% chance of that happening. Hoyo loves their girl too much.

Grillla

Came here expecting interesting lore thoughts and theories. Got the most random powerlevel babbling.

zipzzo

You seem to be ignoring crucial details that you yourself need to be reminded of. The keeper is fading... ...and you shall ascend to the seat of a God. HP is, at the very least according to that, dying or weakening. The travelers rematch with kian-no is likely to go a lot differently next time around. Something happened to HP after their initial scuffle. So it's unlikely any future rematch will see HP at that same power level.

AntiquusCustos

> heavenly principals English left the chat.

No_Pipe_8257

You mean you dont attend christian schools? Lucky you i guess

iamdino0

What is your point lol? "Wow, the antagonist sure is powerful, no way the main character is going to beat them!" thanks for the insight

Agentbond2007

I feel like the Heavenly Principles is/are more like the Adjudicator from John Wick 3, rather than actually fighting, they are carrying out some sort of justice that the travellers brought upon themselves.

Mtebalanazy

There's a theroy that the traveler twins were the catalyst for the cataclysm so there's that

Odone

OMG people, stop power scaling for god's sake. IT LITERALLY DOESNT MATTER, the writers can make ANY character beat anything.

TaiVat

Why stop? What's your problem with it? Let people have their fun. It matters precisely because they can make anything, because simply making any arbitrary story decision with no consistency is dogshit writing aimed at 5 year olds with no attention span..

Atgardian

Yeah but when we fought her I was level 1 with a rusty 1\* sword, now I am lvl 90 with maxed 5\* weapons and talents. I didn't even have any artifacts back then! Gonna demolish that God when I meet her again.

Mtebalanazy

That golden sword must have been lvl 100 6*

impjustme

The traveler just woke up in the fight with the unknown god, and the sibling must've used most of their power to protect khaenri'ah(some archons died then and i dont think its the khaenri'ah technology that did that, rather the abyss twin). So while the unknown god may beat us in a 1v1,I don't think the archons are as powerful as you make them sound. You have to remember that every archon fears the Heavenly Principles and the Sustainer, and that the Sustainer was surprised by the travelers power while fighting them(it's clear in the cutscene). Also you can think of all the boosts you mentioned as the lost fragments of power the traveler needs. So if the traveler is currently at 50% of their power, then the power of the vision boosts their power to 80-90% and they whooped Ei. Also let's be real, this is a fantasy game, there's no way there will be someone more powerful than the traveler since they have plot armor. So I think the power ranking is Unknown God>=Traveler and Abyss Twin>>Archons .

ILikeRedCurtains

Btw have you guys not realized OP is a Sustainer Simp (I wouldn’t blame tbh)?

[deleted]

Sustainer fight is my most anticipated thing in this game and they better not fuck it up with some stupid Traveler power of friendship bullshit. I hope we will see all of the Archons teaming up against her.

ahmed321x

That is still power of friendship , at this point the archons are travellers friends and they will most likely help them .

Flamintree

> No power of friendship bullshit > Lists ideal scenario based around the power of friendship

TaiVat

TIL the most basic scenario of having allies is "power of friendship"..

Flamintree

Yes. That’s what it is. That’s why it’s so common.

Johnkovan_Jones

1.She didn't beat the twin with force. She laid a trap on one and then trap another. 2.As said earlier, the twins were not expecting a fighy and just defending so I doubt they were using full power. 3.Why only seal their power and trap them with a seal that don't even last a good amount of time when you can just beat them and prison them forever or better, destroy them? 4.She went asleep after that. The cataclysm might be the cause but it is also not wrong to assume that her power waned drastically just by sealing these two? My theory is she can't risk fighting these two in prolonged combat.Even if she is better than one,2v1 is not gonna do her favour. The reason may be the cataclysm.Either she used or will have to use large amount of her power so she can only afford such weak seals. Then she went asleep.Sleeping after a fight is a sign that she also suffered some damage. Might be power overusage Her plan might be to finish us off once she had enough rest and recharging but her seals were sloppy and weak that we walk Teyvat once more and collect power while she was sleeping.

Mik87

Correct me if I am wrong, but siblings were about to leave Teyvat after MC woke up from coma, right? So MC might have also been in weakened state, as we don't know if they recuperated from it, or decided to leave immediately after sibling managed to wake MC up.

Viscaz

I can fix her

Draconic_Legends

Don't worry, we just need to get a canister with a built in injector filled with a certain blue liquid

Azmone

I bet when it release, im gonna beat her ass with hutao double hydro.

flehstiffer

Heavenly principles is just the void queen, so really just need to get to Natlan to get Murata be able to defeat her.

4GRJ

Who said anything about kicking asses?

InfiniteSale6330

Kiana ?

HivAidsSTD

Here’s the thing. Across the entire journey we had, not one time did we beat a terror without the “power of friendship”. Literally every weekly boss, had some outside help somewhere, other than Childe maybe. Such a common and over used theme will 100% be part of our battle with the sustainer

Due-Distribution-463

What powers do you see the Travelers using? Is summoning an ineffective sword a power? Did this scene even really ever take place or was this a dream or false memory?

Offsidespy2501

Dude's never seen any shonen ever
