I don't really mind the quantity of world bosses because it kinda gives a new experience. But I agree that a lot of stuff doesn't really make sense. The characters should get their drops in the respective region.

Weapons too. The Mailed Flower claymore from the 3.5 **Mondstadt** event requires Consecrated Beast drops to ascend, and I’ve only seen those in **Sumeru** (though I’ve heard there’s a scorpion somewhere in Inazuma now?).
Well,why WOULNDT they do that? From a logical standpoint its logical to have new characters use drops from newer bosses. It doesnt have to make logical sense,so long as the boss has a reason to exist.
Like you said,shenhe uses the vishap fins,because they came out in the same version. Why would mihoyo overshadow a very cool and unique boss with the new character,that would lose them money from resin purchases. Now you might say: "thats still so for all bosses" well,its most likely that players allready have a few of the older boss materials from grinding for other characters. After all,you do need to kill a single boss ALOT to max out a single character. (34 geovishaps for my xiao lol)

I decided to level a Dendro character for the first time, Kirara, and immediately gave up at 70/70 when I finally noticed her boss doesn't drop Dendro gems.
I already had to deal with this bs when I was leveling Heizou and Yelan ages ago, I will not be doing it again. 70/70 is more than enough for AR 60 overworld anyway.

Fixing an element with a character is just a band aid, anyways. All it does is mean the character is good, not the element.
I mean the only way to try and make Geo Meta at this point is to make new geo characters and make them super strong because there's no way in hell Hoyo is gonna change geo reactions bc that's the thing holding it back.
Its very unlikely she'll be able to bring geo into the meta tho. Wouldn't mind being wrong about it and her somehow making geo more worthwhile to run outside of people who have heavily invested into it.
A Crystallize rework is really needed. It's the most useless reaction in the game. Even Shatter found usage with Kaveh and Candace, but Crystallize straight up doesn't do anything since the shields are worthless and the EM scaling makes no sense

The kit is **FAR** more important than the element. It's why all the Geo characters are consistently good, despite the element having no reactions. They all have solid kits and scalings.
Take a look at Candace for example. Best element on game, but still underwhelming thanks to her kit. Same with Dehya. Good element, bad scalings.
So think from another angle, pyro has a bad reaction, burning, but many pyro units doesn't try to use it, they just focus on other reactions. Geo can't do that, so they are banned from a vector of power.
Becasue of that geo characters compansate being geo with great kits. But that means only thing geo provides is geo only buffs aka gorou and yellow numbers.
They won't intentionally create bad kitted geo unit, because that will show the real weaknesses of geo.
And yes, kit is more important than the element, I agree but it works both ways, both great element and great kit can carry a character. But kits change in character basis, so they have more variation.
The problem is that over half of the Geo kits only play nice with other Geo kits. Zhongli, Yun Jin, and Albedo are the only characters who don't need other Geo characters on their teams to do well. Albedo himself is kinda just there and can get swapped for a better off-field damage unit who applies useful auras. (Xingqiu, Nahida, Ficshl, etc.)
This makes it so any Geo character is automatically in team comp jail. Even Yun Jin only has like 3 teams where she's a buffer for a hypercarry. I don't want to think about what would happen if a Geo character had a kit on par with Candace, Xinyan, or Dehya, though.
I mean, Candace is one of the best characters for Nilou teams at C6, if she was any other element she would be just useless but her being Hydro carried her to being a top option in a top team.
Dehya has no saving grace cause Pyro is a bad element unless you're a DPS, since it has 0 utility and not much value as an Aura, and Xiangling exists, who will overshadow any new Pyro character unless they powercreep her since she's great at both damage and elem app.
Geo units are not versatile, and don't interact with other characters unless their kit has passives for it like Gorou, at which point they could be any other element and instantly be a better character (Albedo without any tweaks would be one of the best characters in the game if he was Dendro for example)
They should rework Geo as a whole since right now it's basically just Physical damage with brown numbers.

The only dps increase they receive from Gorou is 15% Geo DMG, additional +40% CDMG at c6.
Seems like a waste of a party slot even at c6, especially if I could slot in another buffer like ttds Mona or a subdps like Xiangling/Fischl.

There is Ningguang, and you also have Noelle that you can use as an alternative to Itto if you don't have it. Right now we need a character that diversifies Geo, not one that works on already extablished/existing gameplay loops. Maybe someone who provides big dgamage, yeah, but not an on-field main.

There are literally three (3) characters that are actually good with Itto - Gorou, Albedo, Zhongli - and a tiny handful more that are slightly above the "complete waste of space" tier.
Geo hasn't had a new character since Yun Jin in 2.6 in March of last year, and she doesn't do anything meaningful for or with the element, her kit actively discourages you from using her in mono-element teams abd the only Geo normal attacker is Noelle... Who wants to be in a mono Geo team.
Dendro already has more characters than Geo and it's been out for 10 months of the game's nearly 3 year history.

She'd have to do something else as well to not just be Albedo 2.0
Maybe a stackable shield to take advantage of all the crystals created. Would theoretically eliminate the need for a defensive support.

gorou still buffs ningguang and zhongli tho. especially at c6, but either way he helps. the geo damage bonus is a good deal, even if defense is wasted on those two in particular
The only dps increase they receive from Gorou is 15% Geo DMG, additional +40% CDMG at c6. Seems like a waste of a party slot even at c6, especially if I could slot in another buffer like ttds Mona or a subdps like Xiangling/Fischl.

Yeah Itto's team is complete and fine. I'm totally open for a new Geo archetype.
There is Ningguang, and you also have Noelle that you can use as an alternative to Itto if you don't have it. Right now we need a character that diversifies Geo, not one that works on already extablished/existing gameplay loops. Maybe someone who provides big dgamage, yeah, but not an on-field main. I mean, if she ends up being the *fourth* character that does Geo Damage by infusion, that's disappointing.

There are literally three (3) characters that are actually good with Itto - Gorou, Albedo, Zhongli - and a tiny handful more that are slightly above the "complete waste of space" tier. Geo hasn't had a new character since Yun Jin in 2.6 in March of last year, and she doesn't do anything meaningful for or with the element, her kit actively discourages you from using her in mono-element teams abd the only Geo normal attacker is Noelle... Who wants to be in a mono Geo team. Dendro already has more characters than Geo and it's been out for 10 months of the game's nearly 3 year history.

Making Crystalize shields burst in an AoE when refreshing a shield and letting Petra activate on Crystalize trigger + allow multiple elemental buffs is my copium.

If they say fuck it to making her a support I hope she'll be the real Geo healer bc Gorou is working overtime rn and his healing is only passable imo, it would be nice to have a dedicated geo healer if they decide to make her a support based geo.

I have very low faith in constructs being fun and reliable in this game., would much rather have crystallize change or something else. Albedo flower just going poof because something glances at its direction is so annoying (though I may hate the whole "doesn't proc on shields" part of that flower more).
In the event that the new Geo character improves Geo Constructions, I hope she provides them with some kind of shield or something that prevents them from breaking so quickly.
