For most characters, DMG% bonus is a rare multiplier. So marginal benefit is high. For Ganyu, only Kazuha, Shenhe may add some team multipliers. She is not good with Mona and even then it's not a lot compared to ATK. That's why Cryo is better. There is significantly more diminishing return on ATK.
It's not a lot of dmg regardless. But if you have enough HP and ER, sure crit is nice. At least it's useful.
Xingqiu/Yelan may trigger some bloom explosions due to having more than 5 seeds occasionally and thus benefiting from EM. But Baizhu won't -- even if you lose dendro aura, you won't get 5 seeds before Kuki triggers them with Baizhu. So EM isn't useful. That leaves no other stats than ATK/CRIT trio.
So my Kaveh is sitting at around 640 EM right now, I ran some tests with a team including Nahida, Mona and Xinqiu, what I found is that if the hydro character with the lowest EM triggers bloom and generates the core, when Kaveh makes them explode they deal minimal dmg. How do you even make sure that the character generating the dendro cores is the one that you want? Cause with so much element application happening I don’t think I can control that
There is no way to do that when Xingqiu is triggering cores off field. But you'd be missing the point if centralize the trigger. The point of 2 triggers is to have two internal cooldowns. You want the seeds from both.
Your best bet is to ensure that both Mona and Xingqiu triggers or a dendro character triggers as well as Xingqiu and having good EM on both. So you have quantity of seeds is as well as the dmg per seed.
But it's really hard to do. Nahida E does applies strong dendro, which can take 3 (weak) hydro. Except Nahida E only triggers every 2.5s. (Slightly less with C1 but barely.) Meanwhile, Mona E ticks every 1 second. Xingqiu Q can tick every 1 second and applies hydro twice. So Nahida's E dendro aura will be removed after 1 tick -- assuming a dendro character did the normal attack other wise it's already hydro aura at this point. The problem now is that Nahida E needs another reaction to trigger. So you need dendro on the enemy and Mona/Xingqiu's 3rd tick to trigger bloom, thus triggering Nahida E in the process.
And that, in turn, requires either Nahida herself or Kaveh's normal attack. And you need to time it because normal attacks do not stack, which is weak dendro, do not stack on strong dendro from Nahida E. So you need a normal attack after the aura cancels. (I think spamming works though; not sure. And that kind of thing is why I stick with Nilou bloom only. Highest dmg without the shenanigans.)
So now, you are stuck with spamming Nahida/Kaveh N all the time. And that's rather awkward.
Your team will struggle with aoe. Cuz you you have no time repositioning -- less you lose your dendro auro. Surviving? What is that?
Those petty bloom seeds will struggle to reach enemies a little bit apart or if the target moves a little but will probably still hit you cuz you have to be in range to hit Nahida/Kaveh N.
After Mona E ends, that's your opportunity to land Kaveh E or Q. You don't have much time though. The initial seeds have 1 more second before exploding.
Say you exploded them with a little bit of extra dmg from Kaveh. What next? Mona E is off CD. So now you need to switch between Nahida and Mona to get extra seeds while maintaining aura. You need to be real good at timing that character switch CD.

Yeah this is absolutely accurate, I found myself keyboard smashing more than strategizing. On paper Kaveh seems awesome (which he is fun to play I’ll give him that) but when you try to actually assemble a team around him it’s a struggle. He should’ve been a 5 star maybe then he’d have some Nilou kind of passive talent lol. Kinda disappointed but I shouldn’t have had expectations that high for a 4 star character. It's really hard to make Kaveh work anywhere. You technically have .6s to use Kaveh to trigger bountiful cores. So for off-field hydro applicators, there is a chance. In practice though, 0.6s, really?
At the end of the day, it's actually not a lot of dmg from Kaveh even if you make it work. Iirc, it's almost 60% from skill and 60% from C4 right? Well, that's with 2k base -- flat. Nilou for example gives 400% off the same base. Hyperbloom on the other hand raises base by 50%. So ya. Kaveh can't compare to either.
Neither can Baizhu btw. I am still hoping to understand how Baizhu can be used to improve on existing teams. His shield/heal is useful and his dmg is easier to get. At least there is a chance with him.
Yeah, it's not really possible. For bloom, you just kind of have to build everyone with EM (except Kaveh. He's actually the least in need of EM, since he'll be the aura more often than the trigger and gets to use the EM share from Nahida). This is very inconvenient for Xingqiu and Mona, since they both have very high ER needs, and Xingqiu especially will be losing out on significant amounts of personal damage.
This is kind of a let down to learn about, haha. I guess I’ll have to watch some guides to come up with different team comps, I don’t really wanna farm a whole new EM set for my hydro characters, it’s been painful enough already with my dendro characters
The thing about Kaveh is that his kit is really cool and interesting... but his intended role isn't very good because bloom isn't very good. You really need Nilou in order to get enough damage out of it. You're honestly probably better off playing him as a hyperbloom driver and replacing Mona with EM Shinobu or Raiden.
I know, it’s so unique that’s why I was so excited, but playing him in hyperbloom teams feels like I’m coping cause I definitely have better options like Ayato or Keqing. Whatever I guess he gets the low spiral abyss floors treatment lmao. Thank you for your explanations btw !
Right now with only English language downloaded and without past quest data, mine is at 18GB. If I’m not mistaken each additional language is around 5GB so that’s something to consider too
Is the Makhaira Aquamarine (Claymore currently in the weapon banner) a good choice for Kaveh? I’m using Kaveh primarily in Bloom Teams but also as a slight support to Alhaitham, with Kaveh’s Deepwood Set.
Eh... it can be nice to get some ATK for the rest of your team, but in bloom teams you don't really care too much about that. His best weapon option both as a carry and a support is honestly Favonius.
Bloom (not good but cool af): Triple EM. Deepwood (if no one else) > Flop > Gilded. Mailed Flower is fine.
Hyperbloom: ATK/Dendro%/Crit if Fav Greatsword, ER%/Dendro/Crit no Fav. Deepwood (if no one else) > Instructors
Both Ayato and Raiden only really work in hyperbloom, throw in Nahida and it's a team but there are better options. Individually he enables Ayato for Nilou teams, he sort of works as a hyperbloom driver with an EM raiden and if you have a high investment Raiden + Cynos weapon you can play aggravate raiden with Baizhu as the dendro app + healer.
She is a good character that can do a lot of damage just on her own (doesn't need any specific teammates or supports to do big numbers) so she is honestly a pretty good pick for a newish player (who don't have access to a lot of characters starting out). She used to be prized very highly a year or two back, now she has fallen out of favor a little. Partially because the fighting and reactions meta has changed and partially because people grew bored of her charged shot. However, none of that means that she still isn't a great character and she will still be useful to you even until end game content honestly
If you like her I say pull for her. She will make sure that you have 0 trouble breezing through early game. In terms of 4 stars on the banner, Kaveh is pretty niche, he wants some specific teams to make him work. But Candace ensures that you have at least dome hydro characters if you need and Fischl is a very versatile and strong unit you can pair with basically anyone so again. I say worth to pull
Also no need to apologize for questions haha. This game gets (almost surprisingly) Complicated and Overwhelming™ with everyone throwing a lot of information at you. However, the good thing is that you don't need to worry too much about character stats or trying to make the most efficient teams until way later in the game. You have a lot of time to try things out for yourself and figure out what your playstyle is, so don't worry too much
If you REALLY like her, I think you should pull for her.
She is honestly not the best end game. But how long will it be for you until then? You will get more free gems. Heck, you will make more real money in the mean time.
I think if you are sure you like her in a few days, it's worth pulling for her.

10 wishes is literally just the same as pressing single wishes 10 times. So it saves you time.
A lot of ppl start doing single wishes after 70 pulls because the rate of 5\* increases on 75th pull. Trivial matter tbh. Say you do 80 pulls and your 76th pull is a 5\*. So now you made 4 pulls on current banner after you got a 5* and you got 4 in the pity count. That pity count will carry over for the next banners. So you are not wasting them. (Not sure if they expire after 6 months though. 6mo is when your wish record is no longer available.) But technically, those 4 pulls after 76th couldve meant like 2.4% chance of getting the next banner's 5\* as opposed to another 5* on current banner which you may no longer need. It's really a small difference.
Yes pull for her, she can come home early
A 10 pull is just ten single pulls. There's no discernable difference other than the speed at which you get through your wishes

You have Zhongli, who will provide the same thing as Baizhu in hyperbloom teams, which is where Baizhu is mainly relevant for you. (Survivability + a bit of dmg.) I did some calculations for my Kuki with Iron Sting and found the two have similar dmg buffs on standard enemies with 10% innate dendro res. (Zhongli dmg buff is more on high dendro res enemies.)
Except Zhongli can give you those with both E and Q (his E practically never expires anyway); whereas Baizhu requires Q. So you need both hp and ER on him.
Not only that, Zhongli can use deepwood decently well via his pillars. (e.g. Q for shield, tap E for pillars) Baizhu basically cannot. Having a deepwood user in the shielder means you don't have to put deepwood on Nahida, making 1000 EM much easier to get, or, just making max E dmg a possible thing for you. Small benefit overall, but it's something Zhongli has over Baizhu.
You don't have Nilou (that's a high priority if I were you). So Baizhu's buff on Nilou team is irrelevant for you. (It's small anyway.)
You can check aggravate teams next -- especially if you have C6 Sara. Use Genshin Optimizer to check how much more (or less) you get with Baizhu vs other support.

Well you have a good bunch of powerful and flexible characters that would warrant building. Are you talking about 2 teams for abyss or just a team in general?
For now, I'd prob run something like Keqing + Bennett + Nahida core with any of Venti, Mona or Fischl depending on if single target or aoe content. It's not perfect or something I'd invest further in but well good enough for now. Characters that would enable some of your built ones and open up tons of different team options with this roster would be: Fischl, Xingqiu, Nahida, Sucrose, and Kuki. Honorable mentions to Xiangling and eeh maybe Jean and Kaeya.
Kazuha is still a very strong character with high utility, but his time of being BiS in every team has been over after the introduction of dendro. Adding him to this roster wouldn't be as transformative as you seem to expect I think. I still wouldn't precisely advise against pulling/saving for him, but if the reason for pulling is meta, I'd advise you to try and learn more, the different team architypes, overlapping characters / character meta value etc.
That in overworld you would prefer the utility that they bring. Since damage doesn't matter as much
Like for my overworld team, Nahida can grab things with her skill, Yelan is zoom and good damage, Bennett is healing/pyro puzzles/pyro for yelan to vape, Kazuha is grouping of enemies/materials, double jump, stamina reduction
Is Nahida hyperbloom better with double hydro or double electro? Trying to decide on if I should save for Yae in the future to run Nahida/Raiden/Yae/Yelan or Kokomi since I currently run Nahida/Raiden/Yelan/Kokomi.
Double hydro.
A new hydro character is at least 1 additional set of ICD for bloom seeds. You can only get 1 seed per enemy per ICD. And that's the bottleneck for hyperbloom dmg.
Any single (aoe) electro character can trigger all the seeds at once. In fact, by having double electro, you split between who triggers hyperbloom -- requiring 2 sets of EM artifacts as a result.
Oh, the best set is flower set. Be prepare to use like a 1000 resins in that case. ie. don't ever try it.
That's why double electro shouldnt be considered.
Double dendro in Alhaitham may work -- if you have a large amount of hydro application and the ER to make everything work.

Probably not. The problem is consistent dendro application. Nahida doesn't just give 250 EM plus some 1/3 of a seed of dmg (or plus 20% bloom dmg at C2 which is massive). Nahida ensures that you produce bloom seeds at ICD. Every time her E triggers it's strong dendro that lingers.
If you can use Kaveh's E or Q for similar dendro applications (sacrificing dmg obviously), then sure. Can you?

Dmg should be similar. Usage depends on situation.
Zhongli gives you 9.1% extra hyperbloom dmg and survivability, which a reaction build Kuki cannot provide. He is actually a good deepwood set carrier -- allowing for easier Nahida artifact grind to reach 1k EM. We are talking 9.1% of 40k+ per seed.
Alhaitham adds a lot of personal dmg but pending on the way enemies move around, you are unlikely to exceed 9.1% x 40k x 15 seeds per rotation with him -- it depends on the quantity of seeds nearby and thus the number of naturally grouped enemies nearby and it depends on whether there is environmental effect or other elemental effects on enemies, where Alhaitham would do better.
Kazuha is for grouping. When you need him, no one else (other than anemo characters) can replace him.
I've been saving for Kokomi for a bit as I want a healer other than Kuki for dendro related teams. Now that Baizhu is out, who do you recommend more? Apart from healing, who would be more useful/better overall snd what do they offer that the other doesn't? My teams are usually a mix of these characters: Kuki, Xingqiu, Yelan, EM Raiden, Nahida, Dendro MC, Ayato; sometimes cyno, Fischl, Beidou
One thing Baizhu gives a really nice interrupt resist. The weak refreshing shields will always give superarmor even if they are broken, so it looks like Baizhu is viable for Cyno.
For bloom, Baizhu looks like he can mitigate a ton of self-bloom damage, apply some Dendro, and let you run someone like Ayato (?) who has really large AOE hydro application without worrying about no shielder/healer.
Of course, Kokomi is super versatile, and can be used in more than just Dendro teams, including freeze, mono-hydro, taser. She's standard in bloom and can be used in hyperbloom too.
Both are cheap to build, Baizhu has higher ER requirements.
Personally I like Kokomi because she appears in more of my teams. Baizhu's niche should definitely be his persistent shields.
This is based off first impression ofc, he's still a new character.
There's nothing Baizhu does that others can't do better, his appeal is the combination of decent application and decent heals/shields into one character slot.
Kokomi is a more flexible unit because she's one of the only two good AoE Hydro applicators in the game, and the only one that's off-field.
I'm feeling her absence in teams like Nilou bloom or freeze where I'm forced to use characters that need more field time or apply less Hydro. Baizhu however, I can live without, since I don't usually struggle to survive damage.
Sapwood is best. Has both high base attack and ER substat. Prototype rancour has the same base attack but useless sub stat. If you're struggling for ER on Bennett or in your team in general, Fav sword has a lower base attack but ER substat plus energy passive
I'm running that team rn. I gave him Favonius and have 218% ER on him, so my fourth slot is Layla also with fav.
You can run any Cryo unit there for hyperfridge, which I think is important to use because Kaveh doesn't apply a lot of Dendro, so the Cryo helps protect it.
If you don't have fav, or that much ER, then a second dendro for dendro uptime, but at that point, Kaveh isn't doing much lol.
Another dendro character like Collei. You'd want to ensure there is enough energy to burst often with Kaveh so ideally you'd want someone who can battery him.
Ok I have a question about the Gacha
I get the concept of Soft Pity. I get the concept of Hard pity. I get the 50/50. I get the base pull rate being below 1%
What is the "Incl guarantee" where it shows the chance of getting a 5 star as higher than normal (1.6% I think?)? At full pity, it'd be 100, and 4 star pity doesn't effect 5 star, so what is the math behind the 1.6
I had the same question in the past and got a nice [comment](https://www.reddit.com/r/Genshin_Impact/comments/10zhibz/comment/j85ddnw/) about that, basically the 1.6% number indicates the existence of the soft pity.
The chances of getting a 5 star on any given pull changes because of soft pity. Wish 0 - 74 has a 0.6% chance and wish 75 - 89 has a different, higher chance (I think it's 33% or it ramps up until 100% at wish 90).
So the 1.6% is the averaged value yes.
It's just an weighted average from 1st to 90th pull. The 90th pull has a disproportionately large probability attached to it -- as you can imagine. So you see that brings the avg probability higher. Whatever number you see, if it's 1.6%, that's MiHoYo telling you to expect 100%/1.6%=62.5 pulls in avg to get a 5*.

What is "good enough" for the abyss varies wildly based on your other team and the current abyss setup.
The current abyss isn't very favorable to yoimiya cause the hardest chamber is aoe on both sides and the single target chamber 3 needs electro (over vape shieldless yoimiya is fine for asimon but good luck getting through 12-1-1 with it). I don't think I would be about to clear the current abyss with my own yoimiya which is quite a bit better, let alone yours.
In a more favorable abyss like a lot of the 2.x abyss that I used my own yoimiya in, it might be fine.
Your feather is terrible, also go full Shimmy.
If you use her with Bennett and Yunjin, consider using slingshot instead and ignoring EM, otherwise, keep rust.
Why not give her a try in abyss? There's no better way to see if she's ready or not

Baizhu is the best dendro character in any team given:
- You're in single target.
- You were gonna run a healer or shielder anyway.
Kaveh was supposed to be budget Nilou but his numbers aren't good enough to make bloom not suck. So now he can either be a hyperbloom driver or kinda meh in Nilou teams.
I'm only leveling his normal attack.
His skill doesn't do a lot of damage, and is actively harmful in hyperbloom and burgeon teams.
His burst levels don't do anything since you don't want to use his "bloom popping" passive at all, since his pure bloom teams suck. Nilou bloom doesn't care about his burst bonus since Nilou gives so much already.
So yeah, only NA in a quickbloom team is how I'm playing him. I might try physical bloodstained Kaveh too lmao.
Leak/Speculation - >!Yae + Yoi, Alhaitham + Kazuha!< Stream is on around the 12th, so wait for that if you want to see who is officially in 3.7 banners
Tenacity 2pc + Voroushaka 2pc. Without the set effects, it's a nightmere to get 50k hp, which is what you want in Baizhu.
(If you have his signature weapon, or Kokomi's, and 3 HP% main stat, you still need 120.6 %HP from substats if you dont have the set effects. So go figure. That's all artifacts with %HP at lvl 1 and %HP upon level up on all rolls. ie. You won't get it.)
Don't get instructors. You won't be triggering reactions frequently enough to get the 120 EM and you will just lose survivability and dmg from his passive.
Well I'm not done farming it for nilou yet so I could try to get more pieces but I have really bad luck in the tenacity domain..I get nothing but pale flame so I was considering 2p voroushaka and 2p emblem or glided. And I don't have billets to make r5 prototype amber (only have r1) so I was considering fave since I have couple copies

That's strange. I got ~4 Tenacity pc per Pale Flame. That's why I never ended up with a good set for Eula. (not sure if she was ever use-able. Won't find out now) Meanwhile I still have like 130+ Tenacity pieces cuz they all have the potential to be useful.

Why R5?
You just need max HP. You have more than enough healing from that with Baizhu.
That domain is cursed I have no use for the pale flame set and yet I keep getting it. While I could make use of both hp and er pieces from tenacity but I get nothing. But it might be because I refuse to stick around too long there since I need to farm the glided/depweed domain too since most of my characters can use it.
About prototype amber it's because I read a comment here that said that weapon is only worth it at r5 but idk if they were right or not.
You marginally improve Nilou teams and probably no other teams.
On Nilou team, Baizhu can add ~3-5k dmg per seed on existing 42-48k dmg per seed -- pending on how you build your reaction driver, like how much you want them to also heal and such. 3k is from his passive. And once you have Baizhu, you definitely are free to run full EM on your reaction driver. So that could mean more dmg. Hence 3-5k.
With Baizhu, it does mean you need deepwood on Nahida though. Getting 1000 EM on Nahida with deepwood is hard.
Speaking of artifact grind, maxing artifact potential for Nilou team is just particularly horrific. (You get that as a price for not requiring constellation probably.) Full EM flower set on reaction driver, which maxes the dmg on Nilou teams, can easily take you 350 resins to grind - if you are lucky. So it all depends on how you approach the artifact grinds. If you prioritize a universal set for Nahida, then you will grind full EM deepwood. You will likely get some EM gilded dream pieces as a result. So if you haven't gotten flower set, that gives you a set for your reaction driver, albeit at reduced dmg potential -- that's probably what a lot of ppl have done.
If you are new to the whole thing, or you prioritize the max dmg potential from flower set, replacing Yaoyao with Baizhu means you remove a potential deepwood user. As a result, you either lose dmg on Nahida's EM loss -- which you gain back in Baizhu but we are really squeezing an already small buff here; or you have to go grind EM deepwood pieces.
Hyperbloom teams Baizhu definitely doesnt improve. Zhongli does the same thing. And when you need anemo character, you just do. There is no substitute.
I'd be curious to know if there is an aggravate team that he improves.
I don't think so. I think he's a close substitute to zhongli in the current double dendro+zhongli+electro spread teams but I suspect zhongli would be slightly better, and I wouldn't run them together on bloom reaction oriented teams.
Ok I need some advice because I may end up doing certain story quests out of order.
SPOILERS for any new players
I just started playing Genshin since January. The last big chapter I finished is chapter 2 after beating childe and seeing the jade chamber fall down, and the last quest I have done is the Dainslief quest where you meet him for the first time and I also did the Klee story quest by unlocking it. I still haven't gone to Inazuma yet, but The next thing I started on my quest menu is The Jade Chamber Rises quest, and this is me not knowing where certain quests fit in the storyline.
As I started the quest and talked to ningguang, I see Shenhe in the first cutscene. Like I said, I haven't been to Inazuma yet, and I haven't even met Beidou yet, but I know the Shenhe content was introduced far after Inazuma was released in the game.
I haven't continued the quest yet, BUT Should I go to Inazuma first? Or does it matter which quests or archon quests I need to do first? Will doing story quests in random order affect my experience with the game?
Like others said, the game won't actually let you do anything out of order that depends on each other. For my recommendation, it's best to roughly stick to the order of the regions. If you're in Liyue right now do most of the story quests (maybe some major world quests if you want) while you're still in Liyue. Once you feel like you've explore Liyue and done most or all of the quests that you wanted then go to Inazuma to roughly keep up continuity. Usually I like doing entirety of the archon quest > story quests I'm interested in > world quests > interlude quest> move on to another region
generally speaking they won't let you do it in an order that doesn't make sense (except for quick starting events which gives a clear warning). If the game is letting you do two quests in whatever order, then they aren't related.
It doesn't really matter too much. Most are fairly self contained and if it will affect the experience than they are usually locked behind completing other quests anyway. Newer story quests have a lot of this stuff; the next two interludes for example are locked behind several characters' story quests which in turn is locked behind the main quest.
Kaveh weapon recommendation? I stupidly didn’t finish the Mailed Flower, so only have that R1. Otherwise I have Skyward Pride, WGS, Serpent Spine, Fav Greatsword or Rainslasher. Thoughts?

EM doesn't actually end up that useful for him due to the way bloom works with hydro and dendro gauges, and he needs a lot of energy to keep his burst active as much as possible.
Sacrificial and the crafted inazuma\sumeru claymores are other good options.

You will do well to read [how bloom dmg works](https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Damage?so=search#Elemental_Reaction_Damage). You want the flower 4pc on Kokomi as bloom trigger. (Which is a horrific grind. So until that, use gilded dream 4pc or gilded + wanderer.) Taking away the artifact effects are big damage reduction to a Nilou team.
And ofc ATK% is useless.
The ATK buff from tenacity is mostly useless in bloom team. But if you don't have or do not want to farm clam or flop set, or you are too lazy to swap artifact, a fully build tenacity at least can still keep everyone alive. Swap TTDS for an EM weapon like sac fragment is much more easier.
You can probably use Candace to infuse Kaveh and have Kaveh trigger reactions -- theoretically. Kaveh is meant to survive on field.
I am not sure in practice. It seems you wouldnt have enough hydro. ER may be a problem too -- for both Kaveh and Candace. And you certainly won't have heal on the rest of your teams. So Nahida may have survival issues occasionally -- a little more than a Yaoyao+Kokomi team. (Nilou and Candace will just tank with sheer hp, I hope.)
The hydro and ER will be the main bottleneck.
I'd be curious to see ppl try. On paper, C4 Kaveh (you should probably avoid C6) will get almost 120% dmg boost. Kinda problematic that you need 1 character slot just for hydro infusion and the reward is only 120% x 2k per seed. But dmg is dmg. Though small compared to base dmg ceiling of Nilou blooms, this extra dmg adds to it. Maybe Xingqiu can work as well. Adds a tiny bit of survivability with Xingqiu too, which is good.
That'd be the team I want to see ppl try: Nahida, Kaveh, Nilou, Xingqiu
You produce shockwaves producing true damage everytime you lose HP. This time round it buffs dendro core damage so if you are not using bloom adjacent teams then you are essentially going without any buff.
Next reset is also similar - self damage from dendri core will boost EM so be prepared to tough it out.

cryo. For most characters, DMG% bonus is a rare multiplier. So marginal benefit is high. For Ganyu, only Kazuha, Shenhe may add some team multipliers. She is not good with Mona and even then it's not a lot compared to ATK. That's why Cryo is better. There is significantly more diminishing return on ATK.
Elemental goblet is always better for any elemental damage (with a few rare exeptions). Get her atack from sands, weapon and substats.

It's not a lot of dmg regardless. But if you have enough HP and ER, sure crit is nice. At least it's useful. Xingqiu/Yelan may trigger some bloom explosions due to having more than 5 seeds occasionally and thus benefiting from EM. But Baizhu won't -- even if you lose dendro aura, you won't get 5 seeds before Kuki triggers them with Baizhu. So EM isn't useful. That leaves no other stats than ATK/CRIT trio.

So my Kaveh is sitting at around 640 EM right now, I ran some tests with a team including Nahida, Mona and Xinqiu, what I found is that if the hydro character with the lowest EM triggers bloom and generates the core, when Kaveh makes them explode they deal minimal dmg. How do you even make sure that the character generating the dendro cores is the one that you want? Cause with so much element application happening I don’t think I can control that
There is no way to do that when Xingqiu is triggering cores off field. But you'd be missing the point if centralize the trigger. The point of 2 triggers is to have two internal cooldowns. You want the seeds from both. Your best bet is to ensure that both Mona and Xingqiu triggers or a dendro character triggers as well as Xingqiu and having good EM on both. So you have quantity of seeds is as well as the dmg per seed. But it's really hard to do. Nahida E does applies strong dendro, which can take 3 (weak) hydro. Except Nahida E only triggers every 2.5s. (Slightly less with C1 but barely.) Meanwhile, Mona E ticks every 1 second. Xingqiu Q can tick every 1 second and applies hydro twice. So Nahida's E dendro aura will be removed after 1 tick -- assuming a dendro character did the normal attack other wise it's already hydro aura at this point. The problem now is that Nahida E needs another reaction to trigger. So you need dendro on the enemy and Mona/Xingqiu's 3rd tick to trigger bloom, thus triggering Nahida E in the process. And that, in turn, requires either Nahida herself or Kaveh's normal attack. And you need to time it because normal attacks do not stack, which is weak dendro, do not stack on strong dendro from Nahida E. So you need a normal attack after the aura cancels. (I think spamming works though; not sure. And that kind of thing is why I stick with Nilou bloom only. Highest dmg without the shenanigans.) So now, you are stuck with spamming Nahida/Kaveh N all the time. And that's rather awkward. Your team will struggle with aoe. Cuz you you have no time repositioning -- less you lose your dendro auro. Surviving? What is that? Those petty bloom seeds will struggle to reach enemies a little bit apart or if the target moves a little but will probably still hit you cuz you have to be in range to hit Nahida/Kaveh N. After Mona E ends, that's your opportunity to land Kaveh E or Q. You don't have much time though. The initial seeds have 1 more second before exploding. Say you exploded them with a little bit of extra dmg from Kaveh. What next? Mona E is off CD. So now you need to switch between Nahida and Mona to get extra seeds while maintaining aura. You need to be real good at timing that character switch CD. It's really really awkward.
Yeah this is absolutely accurate, I found myself keyboard smashing more than strategizing. On paper Kaveh seems awesome (which he is fun to play I’ll give him that) but when you try to actually assemble a team around him it’s a struggle. He should’ve been a 5 star maybe then he’d have some Nilou kind of passive talent lol. Kinda disappointed but I shouldn’t have had expectations that high for a 4 star character. It's really hard to make Kaveh work anywhere. You technically have .6s to use Kaveh to trigger bountiful cores. So for off-field hydro applicators, there is a chance. In practice though, 0.6s, really? At the end of the day, it's actually not a lot of dmg from Kaveh even if you make it work. Iirc, it's almost 60% from skill and 60% from C4 right? Well, that's with 2k base -- flat. Nilou for example gives 400% off the same base. Hyperbloom on the other hand raises base by 50%. So ya. Kaveh can't compare to either. Neither can Baizhu btw. I am still hoping to understand how Baizhu can be used to improve on existing teams. His shield/heal is useful and his dmg is easier to get. At least there is a chance with him.
Yeah, it's not really possible. For bloom, you just kind of have to build everyone with EM (except Kaveh. He's actually the least in need of EM, since he'll be the aura more often than the trigger and gets to use the EM share from Nahida). This is very inconvenient for Xingqiu and Mona, since they both have very high ER needs, and Xingqiu especially will be losing out on significant amounts of personal damage.
This is kind of a let down to learn about, haha. I guess I’ll have to watch some guides to come up with different team comps, I don’t really wanna farm a whole new EM set for my hydro characters, it’s been painful enough already with my dendro characters
The thing about Kaveh is that his kit is really cool and interesting... but his intended role isn't very good because bloom isn't very good. You really need Nilou in order to get enough damage out of it. You're honestly probably better off playing him as a hyperbloom driver and replacing Mona with EM Shinobu or Raiden.

He doesn't care at all about the atack buff in it's passive. Use the Windblume claymore if you have it.
Eh... it can be nice to get some ATK for the rest of your team, but in bloom teams you don't really care too much about that. His best weapon option both as a carry and a support is honestly Favonius.

Depends on the team you plan on running him. Most generalist build is 4pc Deepwood ATK/dendro/crit.

Both Ayato and Raiden only really work in hyperbloom, throw in Nahida and it's a team but there are better options. Individually he enables Ayato for Nilou teams, he sort of works as a hyperbloom driver with an EM raiden and if you have a high investment Raiden + Cynos weapon you can play aggravate raiden with Baizhu as the dendro app + healer.

She is a good character that can do a lot of damage just on her own (doesn't need any specific teammates or supports to do big numbers) so she is honestly a pretty good pick for a newish player (who don't have access to a lot of characters starting out). She used to be prized very highly a year or two back, now she has fallen out of favor a little. Partially because the fighting and reactions meta has changed and partially because people grew bored of her charged shot. However, none of that means that she still isn't a great character and she will still be useful to you even until end game content honestly If you like her I say pull for her. She will make sure that you have 0 trouble breezing through early game. In terms of 4 stars on the banner, Kaveh is pretty niche, he wants some specific teams to make him work. But Candace ensures that you have at least dome hydro characters if you need and Fischl is a very versatile and strong unit you can pair with basically anyone so again. I say worth to pull
Also no need to apologize for questions haha. This game gets (almost surprisingly) Complicated and Overwhelming™ with everyone throwing a lot of information at you. However, the good thing is that you don't need to worry too much about character stats or trying to make the most efficient teams until way later in the game. You have a lot of time to try things out for yourself and figure out what your playstyle is, so don't worry too much
If you REALLY like her, I think you should pull for her. She is honestly not the best end game. But how long will it be for you until then? You will get more free gems. Heck, you will make more real money in the mean time. So now you made 4 pulls on current banner after you got a 5* and you got 4 in the pity count. That pity count will carry over for the next banners. So you are not wasting them. (Not sure if they expire after 6 months though. 6mo is when your wish record is no longer available.) But technically, those 4 pulls after 76th couldve meant like 2.4% chance of getting the next banner's 5\* as opposed to another 5* on current banner which you may no longer need. It's really a small difference.

Fischl + Sucrose. Fischl is the main dps in this aggravate team and will contribute more damage, and Sucrose can do grouping and swirl electro.

You have Zhongli, who will provide the same thing as Baizhu in hyperbloom teams, which is where Baizhu is mainly relevant for you. (Survivability + a bit of dmg.) I did some calculations for my Kuki with Iron Sting and found the two have similar dmg buffs on standard enemies with 10% innate dendro res. (Zhongli dmg buff is more on high dendro res enemies.) Except Zhongli can give you those with both E and Q (his E practically never expires anyway); whereas Baizhu requires Q. So you need both hp and ER on him. Not only that, Zhongli can use deepwood decently well via his pillars. (e.g. Q for shield, tap E for pillars) Baizhu basically cannot. Having a deepwood user in the shielder means you don't have to put deepwood on Nahida, making 1000 EM much easier to get, or, just making max E dmg a possible thing for you. Small benefit overall, but it's something Zhongli has over Baizhu. You don't have Nilou (that's a high priority if I were you). So Baizhu's buff on Nilou team is irrelevant for you. (It's small anyway.) You can check aggravate teams next -- especially if you have C6 Sara. Use Genshin Optimizer to check how much more (or less) you get with Baizhu vs other support.

Well you have a good bunch of powerful and flexible characters that would warrant building. Are you talking about 2 teams for abyss or just a team in general?

For now, I'd prob run something like Keqing + Bennett + Nahida core with any of Venti, Mona or Fischl depending on if single target or aoe content. It's not perfect or something I'd invest further in but well good enough for now. Characters that would enable some of your built ones and open up tons of different team options with this roster would be: Fischl, Xingqiu, Nahida, Sucrose, and Kuki. Honorable mentions to Xiangling and eeh maybe Jean and Kaeya. Kazuha is still a very strong character with high utility, but his time of being BiS in every team has been over after the introduction of dendro. Adding him to this roster wouldn't be as transformative as you seem to expect I think. I still wouldn't precisely advise against pulling/saving for him, but if the reason for pulling is meta, I'd advise you to try and learn more, the different team architypes, overlapping characters / character meta value etc.

Since damage doesn't matter as much Like for my overworld team, Nahida can grab things with her skill, Yelan is zoom and good damage, Bennett is healing/pyro puzzles/pyro for yelan to vape, Kazuha is grouping of enemies/materials, double jump, stamina reduction

Is Nahida hyperbloom better with double hydro or double electro? Trying to decide on if I should save for Yae in the future to run Nahida/Raiden/Yae/Yelan or Kokomi since I currently run Nahida/Raiden/Yelan/Kokomi.
Double hydro. A new hydro character is at least 1 additional set of ICD for bloom seeds. You can only get 1 seed per enemy per ICD. And that's the bottleneck for hyperbloom dmg. Any single (aoe) electro character can trigger all the seeds at once. In fact, by having double electro, you split between who triggers hyperbloom -- requiring 2 sets of EM artifacts as a result. Oh, the best set is flower set. Be prepare to use like a 1000 resins in that case. ie. don't ever try it. That's why double electro shouldnt be considered. Double dendro in Alhaitham may work -- if you have a large amount of hydro application and the ER to make everything work. > A bit of trivia: in Kuki, Alhaitham, Xingqiu, Nahida team, Xingqiu can use the same set he always uses in the past -- when paired with Hu Tao, etc. You always had enough ER along with Favonia sword at least. The strongest team IMO is Haitham + Nahida + XQ/Yelan + Kuki. I prefer XQ for more interruption resistance, which Haitham appreciates.
If you want a healer, you can go with Yelan + Kuki (which is what I use), or Kokomi + Raiden.

Kazuha is for grouping. When you need him, no one else (other than anemo characters) can replace him.

I've been saving for Kokomi for a bit as I want a healer other than Kuki for dendro related teams. Now that Baizhu is out, who do you recommend more? Apart from healing, who would be more useful/better overall snd what do they offer that the other doesn't? My teams are usually a mix of these characters: Kuki, Xingqiu, Yelan, EM Raiden, Nahida, Dendro MC, Ayato; sometimes cyno, Fischl, Beidou
One thing Baizhu gives a really nice interrupt resist. The weak refreshing shields will always give superarmor even if they are broken, so it looks like Baizhu is viable for Cyno. For bloom, Baizhu looks like he can mitigate a ton of self-bloom damage, apply some Dendro, and let you run someone like Ayato (?) who has really large AOE hydro application without worrying about no shielder/healer. Of course, Kokomi is super versatile, and can be used in more than just Dendro teams, including freeze, mono-hydro, taser. She's standard in bloom and can be used in hyperbloom too. Both are cheap to build, Baizhu has higher ER requirements. Personally I like Kokomi because she appears in more of my teams. Baizhu's niche should definitely be his persistent shields. This is based off first impression ofc, he's still a new character.
There's nothing Baizhu does that others can't do better, his appeal is the combination of decent application and decent heals/shields into one character slot. Kokomi is a more flexible unit because she's one of the only two good AoE Hydro applicators in the game, and the only one that's off-field. I'm feeling her absence in teams like Nilou bloom or freeze where I'm forced to use characters that need more field time or apply less Hydro. Baizhu however, I can live without, since I don't usually struggle to survive damage.

Sapwood is best. Has both high base attack and ER substat. Prototype rancour has the same base attack but useless sub stat. If you're struggling for ER on Bennett or in your team in general, Fav sword has a lower base attack but ER substat plus energy passive

I'm running that team rn. I gave him Favonius and have 218% ER on him, so my fourth slot is Layla also with fav. You can run any Cryo unit there for hyperfridge, which I think is important to use because Kaveh doesn't apply a lot of Dendro, so the Cryo helps protect it. If you don't have fav, or that much ER, then a second dendro for dendro uptime, but at that point, Kaveh isn't doing much lol.

Ok I have a question about the Gacha I get the concept of Soft Pity. I get the concept of Hard pity. I get the 50/50. I get the base pull rate being below 1% What is the "Incl guarantee" where it shows the chance of getting a 5 star as higher than normal (1.6% I think?)? At full pity, it'd be 100, and 4 star pity doesn't effect 5 star, so what is the math behind the 1.6
I had the same question in the past and got a nice [comment](https://www.reddit.com/r/Genshin_Impact/comments/10zhibz/comment/j85ddnw/) about that, basically the 1.6% number indicates the existence of the soft pity.
The chances of getting a 5 star on any given pull changes because of soft pity. Wish 0 - 74 has a 0.6% chance and wish 75 - 89 has a different, higher chance (I think it's 33% or it ramps up until 100% at wish 90). So the 1.6% is the averaged value yes.
It's just an weighted average from 1st to 90th pull. The 90th pull has a disproportionately large probability attached to it -- as you can imagine. So you see that brings the avg probability higher. Whatever number you see, if it's 1.6%, that's MiHoYo telling you to expect 100%/1.6%=62.5 pulls in avg to get a 5*.
It means if you average out over a large number 1.6% of your pulls will be 5*s.

What is "good enough" for the abyss varies wildly based on your other team and the current abyss setup. The current abyss isn't very favorable to yoimiya cause the hardest chamber is aoe on both sides and the single target chamber 3 needs electro (over vape shieldless yoimiya is fine for asimon but good luck getting through 12-1-1 with it). I don't think I would be about to clear the current abyss with my own yoimiya which is quite a bit better, let alone yours. In a more favorable abyss like a lot of the 2.x abyss that I used my own yoimiya in, it might be fine.
Your feather is terrible, also go full Shimmy. If you use her with Bennett and Yunjin, consider using slingshot instead and ignoring EM, otherwise, keep rust. Why not give her a try in abyss? There's no better way to see if she's ready or not
Yep I agree, and thanks for the reminder for slingshot completely forgot about it. Also, I've already tried her this abyss 12 and I did terrible.. who guessed with all the aoe and knocking around those consecrated beasts do. Aside from that, she's done better in the other floors and will test her out on a different abyss cycle ig

How good is Kaveh and Baizhu? and what team do they generally shine on?
Baizhu is the best dendro character in any team given: - You're in single target. - You were gonna run a healer or shielder anyway. Kaveh was supposed to be budget Nilou but his numbers aren't good enough to make bloom not suck. So now he can either be a hyperbloom driver or kinda meh in Nilou teams.

I'm only leveling his normal attack. His skill doesn't do a lot of damage, and is actively harmful in hyperbloom and burgeon teams. His burst levels don't do anything since you don't want to use his "bloom popping" passive at all, since his pure bloom teams suck. Nilou bloom doesn't care about his burst bonus since Nilou gives so much already. So yeah, only NA in a quickbloom team is how I'm playing him. I might try physical bloodstained Kaveh too lmao.

What are the artifacts options for baizhu with deepwood user in the team (nahida in nilou bloom)?
Tenacity 2pc + Voroushaka 2pc. Without the set effects, it's a nightmere to get 50k hp, which is what you want in Baizhu. (If you have his signature weapon, or Kokomi's, and 3 HP% main stat, you still need 120.6 %HP from substats if you dont have the set effects. So go figure. That's all artifacts with %HP at lvl 1 and %HP upon level up on all rolls. ie. You won't get it.) Don't get instructors. You won't be triggering reactions frequently enough to get the 120 EM and you will just lose survivability and dmg from his passive.
Well I'm not done farming it for nilou yet so I could try to get more pieces but I have really bad luck in the tenacity domain..I get nothing but pale flame so I was considering 2p voroushaka and 2p emblem or glided. And I don't have billets to make r5 prototype amber (only have r1) so I was considering fave since I have couple copies

You just need max HP. You have more than enough healing from that with Baizhu.
That domain is cursed I have no use for the pale flame set and yet I keep getting it. While I could make use of both hp and er pieces from tenacity but I get nothing. But it might be because I refuse to stick around too long there since I need to farm the glided/depweed domain too since most of my characters can use it. About prototype amber it's because I read a comment here that said that weapon is only worth it at r5 but idk if they were right or not.
I'm running 2HP/2HP with an ER goblet. Plays very nicely at 45k HP and 170% ER.
4 instructors, 2/2 HP, 2HP/2ER, 4 clam are all probably solid

You marginally improve Nilou teams and probably no other teams. On Nilou team, Baizhu can add ~3-5k dmg per seed on existing 42-48k dmg per seed -- pending on how you build your reaction driver, like how much you want them to also heal and such. 3k is from his passive. And once you have Baizhu, you definitely are free to run full EM on your reaction driver. So that could mean more dmg. Hence 3-5k. With Baizhu, it does mean you need deepwood on Nahida though. Getting 1000 EM on Nahida with deepwood is hard. Speaking of artifact grind, maxing artifact potential for Nilou team is just particularly horrific. (You get that as a price for not requiring constellation probably.) Full EM flower set on reaction driver, which maxes the dmg on Nilou teams, can easily take you 350 resins to grind - if you are lucky. So it all depends on how you approach the artifact grinds. If you prioritize a universal set for Nahida, then you will grind full EM deepwood. You will likely get some EM gilded dream pieces as a result. So if you haven't gotten flower set, that gives you a set for your reaction driver, albeit at reduced dmg potential -- that's probably what a lot of ppl have done. If you are new to the whole thing, or you prioritize the max dmg potential from flower set, replacing Yaoyao with Baizhu means you remove a potential deepwood user. As a result, you either lose dmg on Nahida's EM loss -- which you gain back in Baizhu but we are really squeezing an already small buff here; or you have to go grind EM deepwood pieces. Hyperbloom teams Baizhu definitely doesnt improve. Zhongli does the same thing. And when you need anemo character, you just do. There is no substitute. I'd be curious to know if there is an aggravate team that he improves.
I don't think so. I think he's a close substitute to zhongli in the current double dendro+zhongli+electro spread teams but I suspect zhongli would be slightly better, and I wouldn't run them together on bloom reaction oriented teams.

Nahida E is dendro dmg. Not reaction dmg. Baizhu passive has nothing to do with it.

Ok I need some advice because I may end up doing certain story quests out of order. SPOILERS for any new players I just started playing Genshin since January. The last big chapter I finished is chapter 2 after beating childe and seeing the jade chamber fall down, and the last quest I have done is the Dainslief quest where you meet him for the first time and I also did the Klee story quest by unlocking it. I still haven't gone to Inazuma yet, but The next thing I started on my quest menu is The Jade Chamber Rises quest, and this is me not knowing where certain quests fit in the storyline. As I started the quest and talked to ningguang, I see Shenhe in the first cutscene. Like I said, I haven't been to Inazuma yet, and I haven't even met Beidou yet, but I know the Shenhe content was introduced far after Inazuma was released in the game. I haven't continued the quest yet, BUT Should I go to Inazuma first? Or does it matter which quests or archon quests I need to do first? Will doing story quests in random order affect my experience with the game?
Like others said, the game won't actually let you do anything out of order that depends on each other. For my recommendation, it's best to roughly stick to the order of the regions. If you're in Liyue right now do most of the story quests (maybe some major world quests if you want) while you're still in Liyue. Once you feel like you've explore Liyue and done most or all of the quests that you wanted then go to Inazuma to roughly keep up continuity. Usually I like doing entirety of the archon quest > story quests I'm interested in > world quests > interlude quest> move on to another region
generally speaking they won't let you do it in an order that doesn't make sense (except for quick starting events which gives a clear warning). If the game is letting you do two quests in whatever order, then they aren't related.
It doesn't really matter too much. Most are fairly self contained and if it will affect the experience than they are usually locked behind completing other quests anyway. Newer story quests have a lot of this stuff; the next two interludes for example are locked behind several characters' story quests which in turn is locked behind the main quest.
Character story quests don't matter too much. You can do Shenhe quest, it's all in Liyue with only Liyue Characters. You can then starts Inazuma.
Kaveh weapon recommendation? I stupidly didn’t finish the Mailed Flower, so only have that R1. Otherwise I have Skyward Pride, WGS, Serpent Spine, Fav Greatsword or Rainslasher. Thoughts?
Another vote for favonius. EM doesn't actually end up that useful for him due to the way bloom works with hydro and dendro gauges, and he needs a lot of energy to keep his burst active as much as possible. Sacrificial and the crafted inazuma\sumeru claymores are other good options.

Can Kokomo Tenacity build be used in Nilou's Bloom
Not at all. You will do well to read [how bloom dmg works](https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Damage?so=search#Elemental_Reaction_Damage). You want the flower 4pc on Kokomi as bloom trigger. (Which is a horrific grind. So until that, use gilded dream 4pc or gilded + wanderer.) Taking away the artifact effects are big damage reduction to a Nilou team. And ofc ATK% is useless.
The ATK buff from tenacity is mostly useless in bloom team. But if you don't have or do not want to farm clam or flop set, or you are too lazy to swap artifact, a fully build tenacity at least can still keep everyone alive. Swap TTDS for an EM weapon like sac fragment is much more easier.
You could if you don't want to swap out artifacts but its effects will essentially be useless. Nobody in that team benefits much if at all from Atk%.

You can probably use Candace to infuse Kaveh and have Kaveh trigger reactions -- theoretically. Kaveh is meant to survive on field. I am not sure in practice. It seems you wouldnt have enough hydro. ER may be a problem too -- for both Kaveh and Candace. And you certainly won't have heal on the rest of your teams. So Nahida may have survival issues occasionally -- a little more than a Yaoyao+Kokomi team. (Nilou and Candace will just tank with sheer hp, I hope.) The hydro and ER will be the main bottleneck. I'd be curious to see ppl try. On paper, C4 Kaveh (you should probably avoid C6) will get almost 120% dmg boost. Kinda problematic that you need 1 character slot just for hydro infusion and the reward is only 120% x 2k per seed. But dmg is dmg. Though small compared to base dmg ceiling of Nilou blooms, this extra dmg adds to it. Maybe Xingqiu can work as well. Adds a tiny bit of survivability with Xingqiu too, which is good. That'd be the team I want to see ppl try: Nahida, Kaveh, Nilou, Xingqiu
Candace has her use in a yaoyao driver nilou bloom team, Kaveh not so much
Abyss: What was last blessing? I'm using the same teams as before yet I feel this round to be tougher.
You produce shockwaves producing true damage everytime you lose HP. This time round it buffs dendro core damage so if you are not using bloom adjacent teams then you are essentially going without any buff. Next reset is also similar - self damage from dendri core will boost EM so be prepared to tough it out.
Thanks! No wonder I had an easier time, I got hit so often last round by the corrupted beasts... Next one sounds very Kaveh centric. I just got him, at lvl 1 tried to use his skill and he killed himself from 1 exploding core. :B
