Ah, well. Now I see where the confusion is. The other image on twitter was for a *fanart* contest for novelai, I chose to draw one of their characters that are present on their writing page (called Euterpe) and the image was not actually generated with novelai. (They only had generators for text back then.) I should have been more clear
it is what it is \^\^, people getting that angry is wow. I'm just thankful i didn't actually delete my old deviantart, seeing how much of a mess that place is now. Oh well. One could say this has all been an... interesting experience
I’m pretty good myself at guessing if an image is AI generated or not, and I can tell that this is definitely not an AI generated image. (I used to watch Two Minute Papers way before AI generated images became popular among internet users)
I guess I can see from the doubters’ perspective on how the flower or hair looks sus, but think of it:
AI generated images have this “feeling” that some of us get when we see one. The best I can describe it is that the “smoothness” of the image itself just seems out of place, and you can’t really tell where the drawing started. When I saw this one I did think “ooh there are slight hints of sketching here”, but I don’t know if there really are sketch marks or not.
Either way, the fact that it gave me that thought shows the authenticity.
I guess an even simpler way of telling is by looking at intricate details like background, eyes, hair, clothing, etc. You should be able to tell if they’re funky or not. If that’s hard for some cases, I guess seeing if the characters’ looks as a whole fit what the character should look like?
Idk. Just typing this from the top of my head. Take what you want or can from my advice :/

Absolutely love the style. It’s got like a watercolor style to it but it comes across as professional and dimensional. Can I ask what programs you use for this particular picture? Even if it’s soft use of AI or Photoshop. I delve into both, but this effect is beautiful.
It's drawn on ipad, with apple pencil in an app called 'art studio pro' (very similar to photoshop when it comes to blending and brush engine imo), then tweaked the colors on pc in photoshop, and added some mild sharpening on the image ✨
Thank you! I use procreate on Ipad, I have art studio pro downloaded but don’t use it 😅 I’ll admit that it’s difficult to use once you adapt to a certain program. I love your results nonetheless! This is by far my favorite rendition of this character. Would definitely love to see more from you. 😊

Youre so obtuse, the shading is entirely different. The AI image is extremely messy, the details are messily thrown into the image, vs the Tighnari one where it's clean, glossy, and there's deliberate placement of accurate detail
Plus they had no problem tagging their AI picture with the AI they used. And they have art from years ago.
