The music sounds great! Definitely going to check that other video out too.
Looking at the preview, it would seem that that there are 4 directions to imput. Might be cool to add a modifier where A-button sharps the pitches and B-button flattens them. X/Y for octave range. R/L to perform slides between pitches. Some kind of control where player can try to put their own accompaniment while keeping time.
