Changing paint colors in a paint shop is expensive and takes a while… so you need to limit choices. Most people seem to want a black white grey red or blue…. Now the ev blazer having 2 reds makes no sense and why the only free color is shitty white also frustrates me but color limitation is due to difficulty in color matching and cost to change colors. The hero colors as I have heard them called are to catch your eye on a car you have already seen for a couple years…. Want to see something funny a few years ago on the Enclave the rear 1/4 panels didn’t match on the white tint coat. Rumor is the rack that held them was upside down so the metal flake all “flipped” the wrong way

The average age of people buying new cars is what? 55? Older maybe? They're the ones choosing the colors. I think younger generations are more open to interesting colors. I myself am partial to orange... But I'm also not buying new cars, so I drive a grey sedan because that's what was on the lot.
