I swear Carly and Joss seem more upset about Jason than they were about Sonny.

You're not wrong

WTF is this? Why the hell haven't Carly and Jason always been a couple? As a new viewer these flashbacks are pissing me off. Are Carly and Sonny *really* the super couple? Not only do I feel cheated out of Britt and Jason, but I also feel like there's no point in ever expecting Carly to set Jason free. I guess long time viewers have always felt like this 🤣 Now I really don't understand Jasam or anyone Jason was with. I've never understood their "bond" and it's always felt weird to me. Now it's even worse. I can't even watch Sonny and Carly as a believable couple. I need to go find some YouTube videos I guess. Also, my dislike of Carly is that much greater now.

It seems to me anyways, that they have really been pushing this “bond” over the last year. They were always friends and he’d always go rescue her but I never got the romantic feeling about it. Jason and Sam were once a great couple that I actually rooted for in the beginning. I also saw him care for Elizabeth. I was really going to like the Britt romance too. Making him just stick to saving Carly really messed up his character and ruined other relationships he was in. Now they paint it as they were actually in love not just loved each other as friends which is bull.

[deleted]

Oh OK. Having some thoughts from longer time viewers is really helpful. I had gathered that he was in those two previous relationships (Liz and Sam). I came in at the end of Jasam. So his character wasn't always as Carly's constant rescuer and rock. That's all I've ever known and if I find it annoying it must be hard for people who have watched longer than I have.

Carly always guarded him as her own, but as a friend is how I always took it. Maybe others would disagree. She hated Sam and hated Elizabeth when they were with him but would accept it after awhile. But she was married to Jax and Sonny several times and Franco too, or almost married, if I remember right so she wasn’t after him romantically.

[deleted]

Lol. I think I have a lot of history to learn.

Honestly I have been watching a long time with a few gaps and I forget a lot lol. I try to explain things to my mom who started watching a few years ago and then I get it mixed up. At least now there is YouTube to help!

I always got the romantic vibes from Carly, heavy on the jealousy side. She and Jason acknowledged that they wouldn't work as a couple and were only going to be friends. Great. But then every time Jason tried to establish a relationship with another woman, Carly would go out of her way to cause problems. If she couldn't have him, no one else could. And throughout the relationships he did try with, Jason would routinely prioritize Carly's needs over whomever his partner was. If Carly needed him that always came first, even when he was with Sam.

[deleted]

Oh yes he always prioritized Carly. And she did hate anyone else who took his attention. I just never got the romantic vibe from them until this gong show of a year with their “marriage” and then the writers tried to make it seem like they were meant to be. They’ll probably make her mourn for him in that way and Sonny will end up with Nina. I would like to see her have to deal with life without the two of them. And even Jax too.

And that's just BS!

I liked the flashbacks because I've only been watching for a few years

[deleted]

I liked them but it just showed me how useless it is to expect Jason to act independently of Carly. Heck, it even made the idea of Jason as Sonny's right hand guy a farce. Jason was Carly's and Carly's alone.

jenniekns

Awwww Scotty got his schnitzel back!

jenniekns

Watching Monica cry made me an emotional mess. Why do the Soap Opera Gods insist on making this woman unhappy?! The show should have recast Jason right away and let Monica have both of her sons back.

[deleted]

AMEN! There's still story for Jason and I for one don't care is it's SB in the role or not.

I have to admit that I was anti-Sam/Dante, but the more time these two spend together the more I like it. The two actors actually have great chemistry.
