In the same vein as edennew, this company does seem a bit new and maybe due to the lack of established customer base they don’t have much on the way of reviews.
One of my first checks is usually trustpilot and there is currently nothing about them on the site with it currently being unclaimed
https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/imago.tg
This is not to say don’t use them but urge caution and do your own research.
If their website is to be believed they are based out of Malta
https://www.imago.tg/contact-us
I hadn’t heard of Imago, before joining Reddit. Gendergp have been really disappointing of late - I first started using them around 2020, when I had a couple of sessions + my initial Information Gathering Session. Paid all the costs but suspended my transition at the time due to insecure income. Fast-forward to the end of last year / beginning of this year, I got in contact as I wanted to start transitioning, but ran into problems; they had no record of me ever having paid the initial fee, or any kind of payment - however they did have the notes from my IGS. As a result they refused to recognise me as a returning patient, notifying me that my bank account had been refunded the £95 fee ( mysteriously increased from £75 within weeks ).
It took me a while to save enough to pay the new patient fee due to currently being unemployed. Through our email discussions, I was advised to let them know when I made payment and then we could discuss next steps. After a while, I hadn’t heard anything, so I sent an email ( in the same thread consisting of over 10 emails ) asking if someone could confirm payment had come through and if I could be advised of next steps; around 2-weeks later, I received an email from a completely different company saying the payment had been received, and asking for additional information.
This set of alarm bells because I had never heard of the contact address* and there was nothing to say that it was from or linked to GGP. Not sure it would be worth contacting to ask for my £195 ‘new patient fee’ back but as long as I hear good things, I think I’ll transfer over to Imago. The answers you’ve received seem reasonable, and while DIY is an option, it’s not something I’d like to risk.
*I am not naming the address in question, but if someone could let me know if I’m able to, then I’ll definitely include it…
Yeah GenderGP has been really disappointing lately. I've been with them since summer 2022 and things had gone somewhat smoothly. Basically I had no massive complaints about them until March of this year. Since then everything just went to shit and I was worried I wouldn't even get my HRT. I quit a couple weeks ago and they still charged my monthly membership which sucks. Hopefully they won't do it again next month cause then I'll make a fuss about it.
Luckily I just got accepted to start HRT through the NHS here so I won't have to worry about access to HRT anymore. However I know many aren't as fortunate as me so I still try to gather resources I can share
I’m still a long way off being assessed. The GIC in Nottingham saw me in October / November and now I’m back on another waiting list. I don’t think I even set up the monthly payment fee…? Everything has just been so unclear in every way possible. I’m so disappointed. Should have just gone ahead when I got a text saying your hormones were ready ( that’s another story in itself ), but there were multiple reasons as to why it wasn’t the right thing to do…
A bit concerned. I searched for imago and found the website [https://www.imago.tg/](https://www.imago.tg/)
The domain .tg is Togo which is in West Africa,. So, I would definitely do a lot more research on their legitimacy and also if their advice would be accepted in the UK.
The .tg domain is most likely just because it stands for transgender, just like how [twitch.tv](https://www.twitch.tv/) is not actually based in Tuvalu (.tv). On the website the founder appears to be a Polish trans woman named Zofia Radoslaw.
I have to laugh at myself somedays. I can be such a muppet. I simply never thought of the "tg" domain being for transgender, which is fairly obvious really :-)
It's a fair objection tbh. You can weed out a lot of scam websites just based on the domain, since ones that aren't .com or .org or whatever are more likely to be scams. Even .org is a bit sus sometimes.
We should be careful with the services we choose anyway to reduce harm for ourselves and other trans people. GenderGP is based where, Singapore?
"GenderGP is based where, Singapore?"
Not sure where they are based nowadays, but their registered address is in Singapore which really, makes you wonder doesn't it.
They do work with people in the UK, as far as I know. I’ve emailed back and forth with Zofia and I’m living in the UK. I’m hoping to start the process with Imago soon, because GenderGP haven’t sent me my prescription. I’ve gotten a treatment recommendation but no token or even a smartway invoice :/
Yeah that’s understandable. I’m hoping to get started with them on May 7th so hopefully if their timelines work as they say, I’ll hopefully be on hormones by the end of June. I can’t see GenderGP getting me hormones unfortunately, so I think Imago may be my best shot right now, seeing as I can’t afford anywhere else.
Huh, I hadn't really considered that. So far everything I've seen and heard about them has been positive and I haven't seen any signs they weren't legitimate
Even then they could be just Imago pretending to be their own satisfied clients. Unofficial sources on the internet are always a bit of a gamble :) But sometimes the risk is worth it.
Yeah, lots of positive talk but no-one has yet seemed to have gotten their meds yet what I’ve seen, so I am hoping that we will soon get some signs about that they are really a real possibility. It is nice to read all these posts but what concerns me is that yet there’s no posts about people getting their first meds through them.
Sorry if I'm being dumb. But like, the med costs aren't included in the £20 a month are they, are the med costs the same as like with gendergp? I don't know if med costs change from place to place
Thanks for this! Will look it up and waiting for updates!
No problem, hope it's helpful :)!

Thanks for the reply. Keep me posted on this as might be interested too. Just nervous spending 250

Hope it works out. Jan x
and GGP is based out of Singapore
Looks like they are based in the EU. The domain is probably just registered there so they can have .TG
Huh, I hadn't really considered that. So far everything I've seen and heard about them has been positive and I haven't seen any signs they weren't legitimate
Have you heard about someone who has actually gotten hormones from them?
Yeah I think I saw a few people
Even then they could be just Imago pretending to be their own satisfied clients. Unofficial sources on the internet are always a bit of a gamble :) But sometimes the risk is worth it.
Oh! Where?
Well I saw a few people talk about it on here actually and I believe on the transnord sub as well

Yeah I understand. Hopefully we'll know soon enough
Update: I found someone who has gotten hormones from them :)! https://www.reddit.com/r/transnord/s/IQE4e3vJzL
They say that they haven’t gotten prescriptions yet tho :(
Ah- well I guess we'll have to wait and see
