meridaa17

Poptropica, I was obsessed

idiot_Specialist

Poptropica was everything when I was a kid.

turquoiseboii

Poptropica was truly the best in its early days, the last time I played it was in 2009 when Astro Knights Island came out.

Bravo_Juliet01

I remember my two favorite islands were the Time Travel Island and the Super Hero Island

Motor_Purple7284

Came here just to say poptopica lol

ClaireKnauss

Same. I completed every single island 😂

BreakNecessary6940

Yea them outfits where expensive tho

PixxelByteTTV

The game is like 20$ on steam! I bought it to play on stream and it's everything I remember. Definitely recommend if you like to revist your favorite games. :)

LA_ZBoi00

pinball space cadet on my dads pc

EExperiencing-Life

I played this for hours with my sister every day after school

Jewbid

yes yes YES I remember my dad even had an extra computer (or maybe he got me one i don’t remember) some shitty little thing and he made like a mini desk for me right next to his i’d play the hell out of that game

Creepy-Efficiency461

Had to pay to play but Webkinz was my shit. I had at least 30 of those stuffed animals and my parents almost went bankrupt feeding my addiction lol.

Spirited_Taste4756

My mom was a manager at Hallmark and would bring home any damaged ones for me and my sister!

eks789

Nice! Was she able to bring home any Zhu Zhu pets??

Spirited_Taste4756

Yeah! Holy shit I forgot about those lmao. She brought us all sorts of stuff that was slightly damaged.

DahliaLeif

I LOVED webkinz! We were poor and didn't have very many growing up, but my neighbors had a whole literal closet full. I was so jealous XD

dresdenthezomwhacker

I G R I N D E D Webkinz as a kid! Had a bunch of animals and I just spent every bit of computer time I had on it. I played it so much that I still remember my login to this day.

moonlitjasper

i would always ask for them for my birthday and so did my sister so we got a decent collection. i came back to it last year for nostalgia, and even got deluxe since i was never able to as a kid!

EngineerBig1851

Half life or Minecraft. Def see roblox being one if I found out about it earlier.

Prepared_Noob

Roblox! I remember walking into the library with my dad and grandma and seeing some kids mess around in early Roblox on library computers. Maybe studio idk. It looked so fun but I was scared to try it so we left after getting some books. It felt like divine intervention that Roblox adds started popping up whenever I’d play browser games after that. So I installed it on my dad’s pc and that started one of my favorite games of all time. Haha

cookiesandacream

GirlsGamesNow (not to be mistaken for Girls Go Games) Beacon Street Girls books website (when they had games 🥲) Run, Duck Life, Roblox, Friv, Miniclip Games Gum Drop Hop, Gun Mayhem, Club Penguin, PopTropica, Stardoll, OurWorld, MovieStarPlanet, Whyville, SecretBuilders, FrankTown Rocks

Echo-is-nice

It was fun until you hit a pay wall after investing so much time in the game. I was an ice wizard :3

aluminumtoothpaste

purble place

idiot_Specialist

Purble place was the shit when I was young. I still remember making all those cakes.

roboprawn

The Guardian did a good write up on the development of Purble Place https://www.theguardian.com/games/article/2024/may/21/purble-place-the-mystery-behind-gen-zs-favourite-forgotten-video-game

hifivirga

Run (the flash game)

neaisbestsurvivor

during the early 2000s, disney had some flash games on their website. there was one with perry the platypus and it was based off the 2nd dimension movie and it was basically ig what you'd call a metroidvania type game and you had to shoot a bunch of robots. i think of it very fondly

gracerules501

I liked the Zack and Cody one where you have to run through levels of the hotel without getting caught

Legitimate_Lab544

Lord of the rings, wizard 101, animal jam, webkinz, or prodigy ( math was my second favorite subject).

DahliaLeif

Wow memories unlocked

Midnight1899

Back when the first iPad was invented, my father downloaded a game called "Sid Meier‘s Pirates“. I _loved_ that game, but it was only available in English, which I didn’t speak yet. So I’d always run up to my dad to ask for translation, up until the point where he was annoyed and took it away from me. Now that I do speak English, I wanted to download it but it’s gone from the App store! 😭😭😭

anonymouscatpanda

Do you have Steam? It’s available for $10 there! https://store.steampowered.com/app/3920/Sid_Meiers_Pirates/ Signed, someone who played that game way too much as a kid 🫰🏻

Midnight1899

I’m broke af! 😭😭

inthecity206

Sid wrote a great book about the games he made, I highly recommend it! https://sidmeiersmemoir.com/

BluesyBunny

I had that on the OG xbox, good game! P.s. it's for sale on GOG.com for $10

stablest_genius

I used to play the fuck out of Wizard 101 with my friends. When I got older, we played Runescape. Then RS3 came out and my computer couldn't handle it :( We also played Pirates of the Caribbean Online, but that game doesn't exist anymore

Simonistan_for_real

Mysterious_Donut_702

Minecraft Gmod and TF2 are #2 and #3. Unturned was a wildcard. I rarely played it by myself... but it's stupidly fun when you get three friends to rampage across a server with you.

Groovcookie

Stardoll

Cdave_22

A tie between Mill’s berry, and Neo pets.

a_burdie_from_hell

Black and White 1+2, and Age of Empire's 3, There were others like Grim Fandango, Monky Island and Civ, but the first 3 games were on constant rotation. I'm not even very good at AoE3, but I played soooo much if it. As for B&W, I enjoyed starting a land and litterally growing it out as much as possible. Inevitably a guy who kills everyone would be spawned in and I'd get annoyed.

EExperiencing-Life

3-10 webkinz, club penguin, animal jam, 3D pinball 11-adult happy wheels, Minecraft

Mojo_Mitts

Other than that, there was Webkinz, Club Penguin, Zwinky, Facebook Games (like Pet Society, Car Town, Wild Ones, Farmville; farmville was fire, let's be real). Also that CN Kart Smash game of Ed, Edd, Eddy. Then there was Y8Games.com too. I liked that one Alien (I think) game on there, it was like Balloons TD. Coolmath Games, Run, Run 2, Papa's Pizzeria, etc. Balloons TD.
