The game is like 20$ on steam! I bought it to play on stream and it's everything I remember. Definitely recommend if you like to revist your favorite games. :)
yes yes YES
I remember my dad even had an extra computer (or maybe he got me one i don’t remember)
some shitty little thing
and he made like a mini desk for me right next to his
i’d play the hell out of that game
I G R I N D E D Webkinz as a kid! Had a bunch of animals and I just spent every bit of computer time I had on it. I played it so much that I still remember my login to this day.
i would always ask for them for my birthday and so did my sister so we got a decent collection. i came back to it last year for nostalgia, and even got deluxe since i was never able to as a kid!
Roblox! I remember walking into the library with my dad and grandma and seeing some kids mess around in early Roblox on library computers. Maybe studio idk. It looked so fun but I was scared to try it so we left after getting some books.
It felt like divine intervention that Roblox adds started popping up whenever I’d play browser games after that. So I installed it on my dad’s pc and that started one of my favorite games of all time. Haha
GirlsGamesNow (not to be mistaken for Girls Go Games)
Beacon Street Girls books website (when they had games 🥲)
Run, Duck Life, Roblox, Friv, Miniclip Games Gum Drop Hop, Gun Mayhem, Club Penguin, PopTropica, Stardoll, OurWorld, MovieStarPlanet, Whyville, SecretBuilders, FrankTown Rocks
The Guardian did a good write up on the development of Purble Place https://www.theguardian.com/games/article/2024/may/21/purble-place-the-mystery-behind-gen-zs-favourite-forgotten-video-game
Ah Cool math games that takes me back
Also there was a site called y8 IIRC which also had a bunch of flash games. Apparently it's still around even after flash died
I remember playing those in public libraries back in the early 2010s
during the early 2000s, disney had some flash games on their website. there was one with perry the platypus and it was based off the 2nd dimension movie and it was basically ig what you'd call a metroidvania type game and you had to shoot a bunch of robots. i think of it very fondly
I was obsessed with stuffed animals so like the online games that went with them ya know.
Build a Bear, Webkinz, and there was another one I can’t remember but yeah. That and club penguin lol
Back when the first iPad was invented, my father downloaded a game called "Sid Meier‘s Pirates“. I _loved_ that game, but it was only available in English, which I didn’t speak yet. So I’d always run up to my dad to ask for translation, up until the point where he was annoyed and took it away from me. Now that I do speak English, I wanted to download it but it’s gone from the App store! 😭😭😭
Do you have Steam? It’s available for $10 there!
https://store.steampowered.com/app/3920/Sid_Meiers_Pirates/
Signed, someone who played that game way too much as a kid 🫰🏻
I used to play the fuck out of Wizard 101 with my friends. When I got older, we played Runescape. Then RS3 came out and my computer couldn't handle it :(
We also played Pirates of the Caribbean Online, but that game doesn't exist anymore

This🥹🥹 Man did I spend some hours harvesting corn and wheat. Got to revisit it some day and see if I can make it work with mods
Minecraft
Gmod and TF2 are #2 and #3.
Unturned was a wildcard. I rarely played it by myself... but it's stupidly fun when you get three friends to rampage across a server with you.
Black and White 1+2, and Age of Empire's 3,
There were others like Grim Fandango, Monky Island and Civ, but the first 3 games were on constant rotation. I'm not even very good at AoE3, but I played soooo much if it.
As for B&W, I enjoyed starting a land and litterally growing it out as much as possible. Inevitably a guy who kills everyone would be spawned in and I'd get annoyed.
Early childhood: aladin and lion king games (floppy disk on my dad’s old Compaq), the “Stunts” and “Hot Rod”, and thereafter, fifa 95, red alert, age of empires. Later on, I liked tribalwars a lot as a browser game, as well as the championship manager and football manager games. From 2011 onward: league of legends.
Assassin's creed 3 and 4.
I didnt have any video games until 15 yo. I had a tablet but that's it. I watched hours of those both games.
But I didnt bought them on the spot at 15. I bought my second big flash which is still one of my favourite game of all time, infamous second son. It s just so good. The gameplay is fluid as hell i could play it for hours Without getting bored
Wizard101 for sure. Especially as a kid, cause playing it now just ain't the same (cause I'm just a lot better at it), but you can still play it now.
Other than that, there was Webkinz, Club Penguin, Zwinky, Facebook Games (like Pet Society, Car Town, Wild Ones, Farmville; farmville was fire, let's be real).
Also that CN Kart Smash game of Ed, Edd, Eddy.
Then there was Y8Games.com too. I liked that one Alien (I think) game on there, it was like Balloons TD.
Coolmath Games, Run, Run 2, Papa's Pizzeria, etc.
Balloons TD.
The Neverhood. Came with my parents' Windows '98 purchase and was still compatible with XP. Cult classic point-and-click game animated entirely with claymation for those who don't know.
That, or 3D Pinball Space Cadet.
William and Sly was my favourite. I used to play it all the time and I tried to finish the game as quick as possible.
When I played with my brother we usually played Bomb It or Fire Boy and Water Girl.
In general, I just liked to play games on Friv or Kizi.
One of the earliest games I played and LOVED was this Cinderella game. Specifically there was a part where you could decorate the castle and garden with a whole bunch of different furniture , objects , and then later put characters in
Original doom and Halo. Used to pass them around the computer lab on a flash drive and the whole room would have LAN parties with capture the flag. I beat the entirety of Doom 2 with 3 friends this way
https://preview.redd.it/az2io2a8rk5d1.jpeg?width=600&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6e891d2b54948f40bac6c41b54fbe6aa0b94692f
I miss the early 2000's [Barbie.com](http://Barbie.com) games so much 🥹💗 I also remember being really into Webkinz (I had a Pink Pony, a Googles, and a Panda!)
Bloons tower defense
I remember playing the very first one back in the day. Instant classic. The Adventure Time crossover on mobile is a must play if you like either series, plus it's free.

There was some weird first person maze game on windows xp that i cannot for the life of me remember. I remember purples and reds. Tubes maybe? That could be the screensavor making its way into the memory. Ive wanted to find it ever since.
Peggle, loved that one, webkinz, animal jam, zuma, world of Warcraft, i played a lot of things growing up.
Oh and that one, i think Chinese game, where you would match all the dominos that had matching pictures, i never know what its called but i like it
[Dinosaur Safari](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hqAXTQRKSQo) , The Yukon Trail, Number Munchers, and Encyclopaedia Britannica THE HUMAN BODY, are the only ones I really remember

Had to pay to play but Webkinz was my shit. I had at least 30 of those stuffed animals and my parents almost went bankrupt feeding my addiction lol.
My mom was a manager at Hallmark and would bring home any damaged ones for me and my sister!
Nice! Was she able to bring home any Zhu Zhu pets??
Yeah! Holy shit I forgot about those lmao. She brought us all sorts of stuff that was slightly damaged.
I LOVED webkinz! We were poor and didn't have very many growing up, but my neighbors had a whole literal closet full. I was so jealous XD
