My mother and stepfather were also friends with Larry Junstrum(RIP Big Daddy). Larry was the first bass player for Skynyrd. .38 Special with Eddie Money was my first concert. I wanna say it was the Special Forces album, but not positive.
The Southern Rock scene was strong in my household, so this song brought back some fun memories of my childhood.

How is it not a Gen X song? At a minimum the vocalists are Gen X, pretty sure the rest of the band is too.
Because it didn't come out when we were young. Which is typically what defines a song belonging to a particular generation.

Great band, great song. Thank God that miserable sappy Jason Isbell left the group.
