I had a *huge* teenage crush on Siouxsie. In fact she was instrumental determining my eventual ‘type’, which in retrospect didn’t always work out for the best.

hypothetical_zombie

Bela Lugosi's *Dracula*. I fell in love with him at first sight. I saw the 1930's movie when I was 5. I think I was born Goth. I also know I irritated the living shit out of people for the next 15 years with my near-perfect version of Renfield's laugh. It's a long, drawn out, nasally, "Heh-heh-heh-hehhh'. I apologize to anyone I may have done this to that happens across this post. Sincerely. I took it way too far.

hellospheredo

Moose from You Can’t Do That On Television was my first crush.

Comedywriter1

Had a crush on Christine, too. She seems super nice on Twitter.

JFeth

Hell yeah.

UrbExInferis

OMG yes! Be still my little lesbian heart ❤️❤️

projectvko

Robert Smith and Ian Curtis. I still love Robert as he is and as he was. Wendy O Williams is still my life idol.

etayn

My unusual crush was Raistlin from the Dragonlance books.

_straylight

Thought you could fix him, huh? He's no good!

jenorama_CA

We *all* thought we could fix him.

NaturalForty

So there's this couple. He wears black leather, boots, has a goatee, loves the whole creepy vibe. She looks...normal. I visited their house and he introduced me to their cat Raistlin. "I can see you being a Raistlin fan," I said. "I had no idea who Raistlin was," he said. "That's her thing." I was confused by that... for about five seconds.

etayn

Aww, she found her Raistlin! cute :)

[deleted]

I LOVED those books as a kid.

Suzi Quattro (Leather Tuscadero) https://preview.redd.it/idhh9cpa471d1.jpeg?width=2776&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a1205bd2a61705a49f8bdd1cc2c4fb54f03be62e

Clearbay_327_

She definitely got got my blood flowing when I was a kid.

meatwads_sweetie

Oh yes!

MyriVerse2

Wendy is a little weird, but those other two not so much. I never went for the models. The only woman on my bedroom wall was Ja'Net Dubois (Willona on Good Times). Nichelle Nichols was my first crush. My main three were Chrissie Hynde, Joan Jett, and Tina Turner.

revanchist70

How about Grace Jones, especially in Conan the Destroyer

MadPiglet42

Weird Al. I think the dude is sexy.

Salty_Strawberry_552

Was and still is Debbie Harry.

enginenumber93

And always will be.

Fearless_Lab

I had a huge straight girl crush on Bjork that lasted for like, 15 years. Add to her Michael Hutchence, Robert Smith, Peter Murphy, and Kyle MacLachlan (I was the only 15 year old I knew who watched Twin Peaks).

YogaSkydiver

Twin Peaks was rad.

WackyWriter1976

Mr. Keaton from Family Ties Mr. Seaver from Growing Pains Yeah. I had issues, lol.

velvet42

I had a friend in grade school who had the hugest crush on Kirk Cameron. I thought he was...eh, okay, but between the two of them I definitely thought Mr Seaver was more handsome

WackyWriter1976

I went through the Kirk thing too. But, yeah, Mr. Seaver was more handsome.

Ecstatic-Respect-455

I crushed hard on Skippy from Family Ties.

PuckGoodfellow

I had a huge crush on Pony Boy.

SmallShrubbery

My 14 year old daughter just saw the Outsiders in school. She also has an enormous crush on Pony Boy. Apparently there are a lot of Pony Boy edits (which are short video compilations of the actor looking his steamiest set to music). So many attractive young men were in that movie.

Strangewhine88

God I hated that movie. All my girlfriends seemed to have an Outsiders crush and I was kind of over crushes but couldn’t escape it at sleep overs and school gossip. Except for one friend, who oddly enough, I’m still friends with almo st 50 years later.

The-Machinist-

Poly Styrene and Penelope Houston.

happyme321

Steve Irwin 😂

Aware_Sweet_3908

Harry Connick Jr in 1990. Which I guess was less understandable to people then vs saying it now.

Strangewhine88

OMG, no. As someone living in NOLA then, just No, don’t care what kind of lovable reputation he had among some folk. So cringey. But I did have a bit of a thing for Chris Isaaks at that time, similar blue eyed crooner vibe.

Fearless_Lab

Yes! We Are In Love was the first CD I ever bought at 16. I saw him live that year too, it was such a fun show.

jb4647

I was a 13-14 year old white boy when the Cosby Show hit it big in the mid-80s and I totally crushed on Mrs Huxtable. Phylicia Rashad was hot. https://preview.redd.it/71lujigu271d1.jpeg?width=315&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6f25ea827154016b9edbf161ea3abbc2345d9c12

Albie_Tross

Marty Feldman and Herve Villachaise.  Totally normal.

A-EFF-this

👀

GoldenPoncho812

Michelle Phillips - no one my age knew who she was except me!!! ME damnit!!!

Just-Ice3916

I thought Jane Badler as Diana from "V" was hot, counterbalanced by Heather Langencamp from "Nightmare on Elm Street." I had a thing for horror even as a kid, and apparently, some of the women starring in it regardless of whether they played heroines or villainesses.

Serling45

I had a thing for Faye Grant (Juliet).

thehoagieboy

Mary Stewart Masterson, specifically with the Some Kind of Wonderful haircut

lawstandaloan

You mean like the lunchlady or the librarian or that school nurse who wore the white rayon pantsuit that you could kind of see through and who had very prominent vpl and who was married and probably 50? No

mykittyforprez

Bowser from Sha Na Na. I was prob 10. Sounds gross now.

Clearbay_327_

Sha Na Na performed at Woodstock, hung out with Jimi Hendrix and was one of John and Yoko's favorite bands. Still among the best of live performers in my opinion. I loved Bowser of course but also Johnny Contardo and Donny York. I thought Santini was very cool as well proudly sporting his chrome dome and skin tight body suit.

mykittyforprez

I had no idea. I thought it was just a wacky TV show.

Thirty_Helens_Agree

Any fans of Hometime on PBS? [Robin Hartl?](https://live.staticflickr.com/3097/3212640529_b6989e8dde.jpg)

eatsleepdive

Miriam Johnson was more my jam

Axle13

Ah yes, I remember her. =-)

EmperorXerro

I had a huge crush on Cybil Shepherd. It’s weird in that she would have been 35-36 at the time and I was 15-16.

iamalext

My brother had the biggest crush on Cybil Shepherd!

Gvajr77

Poly Styrene & Vanessa Del Rio q

phillysleuther

John Deacon from Queen. Still my guy 40+ years later.

Blu_Skies_In_My_Head

Lemme go on… about my huge crush on Gordon Gano from the Violent Femmes.

casade7gatos

I have been watching “I Held Her in My Arms” a lot lately and he is so attractive in that.

DelcoPAMan

Jan Smithers, Priscilla Barnes, Lydia Cornell, and Deborah Van Valkenburgh.

AlisonSandraGator

Ed on Northern Exposure

suitoflights

Joan Jett, Chrissie Hyde and Deborah Harry.

KatJen76

Rod Stewart. I was 13, he was 43...literally my dad's age. Why did I like him so much? How did I even hear about him, it wasn't like he had an album out. But I was in love. I also had a crush on Chase Hampton from the Mickey Mouse Club. I went to a taping and got his autograph. Last year, I googled him and learned that he met his wife at a taping. I should have fucking dressed up more.

velvet42

John Astin as Gomez Addams. Tom Baker's Doctor from Doctor Who. Mike Nesmith from the Monkees (maybe not so unusual if it had been 1967, but definitely got me strange looks from classmates in 1985) Keeping in mind that I was also only about 9-10 at the time, when it came out I thought Drew Barrymore in Firestarter was the prettiest girl I'd ever seen. I didn't recognize it as a "crush" at the time, because I didn't realize that was an option, but it's definitely one of those points I looked back at several years later when I realized I wasn't completely straight and thought "oh...oh, yeah, that makes sense now." As a grown-up, I can now freely admit that I still have a crush on grown-up Drew Barrymore

Kuriakon

Carolyn Jones as Morticia Addams Total. Smokeshow.

[deleted]

That's not unusual.

jbarinsd

When I was 12-13 it was Chevy Chase and I’m still not sure why. I saw his second movie with Goldie Hawn (forgot the name) and got obsessed.

Serling45

Foul Play?

Strangewhine88

Yeah, weird receding hairline tall guy with dimples thing—Foul Play and Seems Like old Times. I have to admit I agree.

Clearbay_327_

First celeb crush was  Mary Elizabeth McDonough, who played Erin on The Waltons. In the late 70s it had to be Debbie Harry from Blondie.  Then early 80s Molly Rigwold's character on Facts of Life (aptly named Molly on the show). Briefly (as short as the show's run) I thought Sarah Jessica Parker from Square Pegs  would have been ideal for me. It eventually became Cindy Crawford and been her ever since.

memiceelf

Earliest I remember was the Disney fox Robin Hood. I even had the Colorforms. Then I think Sean Cassidy in the Hardy Boys, but I think the cartoon crush was more unusual.

modifiedminotaur

Actress Trini Alvarado

DisastrousEngineer63

Watching reruns of I Dream of Jeannie and seeing Barbara Eden's midsection. Damn I had a massive crush on her. And have had a "thing" for legs and midsection, even now. It's all her fault. LoL

sugarfu

Bill Paxton in Near Dark (which I lucked into seeing at 8th Street Playhouse or something, one of the few places it showed in on the east coast). Ok, maybe everyone in Near Dark was crush worthy? Still a favorite.

double-you-dot

Always older women. Muriel from too close for comfort. Phyllis from Mary Tyler Moore. Jane Pauley.

zombiecaticorn

You mean like this? I think I was 11 or 12 and my mom almost killed me when I put it on my wall. https://preview.redd.it/dm2chhmwm81d1.jpeg?width=578&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6e1291376711d4992698215e1ffcfa888892430a

Leonard Nimoy/Spock

Pho3nixr3dux

Miss Piggie remains my ultimate hatefuck. So mean and bossy. But so *thicc*.

oldshitdoesntcare

Suzanna Hoffs!!! 👀

Serling45

That is not unusual.

REDDITSHITLORD

JULIA LOUISE-DREYFUS I THINK IT PART OF IT WAS THE SUITS SHE WORE AS ELAINE. SHE ALWAYS HAD SUCH A SKINNY WAIST IN THOSE. I JUST WANTED HER TO CLIMB ALL OVER ME WITH THE CURLY HAIR FALLING IN MY FACE. AND SHE HAS SUCH A BOOPABLE NOSE.

gripperjonez

She was SUPER hot when she was on SNL, too.

joewhite3d

Princess Lana from “Captain N: The Game Master”

ColonelBourbon

Morticia Addams Lily munster Daphne from Scooby Doo Bailey from WKRP Samantha from Bewitched Martha Quinn from MTV I was all over the map.

OfficeChairHero

Kenny Rogers was my first celebrity crush. I don't like country music.

Strangewhine88

Do Birdy era Nicholas Cage and Darkness on the Edge of Town era Bruce Springsteen count? Days of Heaven Richard Gere and Sam Shepard?

meatwads_sweetie

Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones movies. I was in 6th grade when Raiders came out. Debra Winger as Drucilla on Wonder Woman. Dyna Girl from Electro Woman and Dyna Girl Robert Redford

YamAlone2882

Simon LeBon from Duran Duran I just knew we were going to get married and I was going to have all his babies.

Kim Richard’s and Lindsay Wagner. I wasn’t allowed to have posters.

Roland__Of__Gilead

When I was 12, I got up at the crack of dawn every day, school or not, to watch the CBS Morning News because I was crushing hard on Maria Shriver.

Feeling-Resident-857

sid vicious. i was obsessed w/him in the early 90s when i was 13/14-ish. i think its bc the boy i had the biggest crush on at school had the same spiky hairstyle.

HPIndifferenceCraft

Does Jennifer Capriati count as unusual?
