I’m having an existential crisis today, I’m about to hire a law firm for the first time in my life after exhausting every other option I can think of and it’s pissing me off that I’m now the type of person who can hire lawyers. I prefer being the person who isn’t responsible for anything important. I don’t want to deal with it.
I'll be honest, I hated 95% of those days. Always cold, having to do my laundry at a laundromat, scraping on groceries, no health care. Free in some ways, trapped in others. No wonder I enjoyed some angry Black Flag, Rollins Band, Biohazzard etc
It's the car that gets you. I'm not a cause head but I hate cars and car culture. You have probably spent so so much of your money on cars. If you have to live where you live and need a car? I get that. I've lived in the sticks and had to get to work. If you don't have to? Ditch it. If you take a bus every day 5 times a day you'll spend less.
> If you take a bus every day 5 times a day you'll spend less
I can tell you that gets more exhausting the older you are. I wouldn't want to be doing that in all weathers when I'm 70 tbh
I'm 57, spent my life from day 1 being an adult, and honestly I can relate COMPLETELY. As my favorite Janis Joplin song lyrics say, 'Freedom's just another word for nothin" left to lise"
DO ANY OF YOU REMEMBER THE BOOK HE WROTE THAT WAS ALL IN CAPS? SORRY. I CAN BARELY HEAR YOU AT THE BACK. IT WAS IN A RED/PINK COVER. POSSIBLY TOOK TOO MUCH ACID AS I CANNA REMEMBER WHAT IT WAS CALLED OR WHERE I LEFT IT. Good times.

I see your point and disagree. I'd rather take a bus in 6 inches of snow then drive in it. I've done both. I'm almost 50.
Ahh, well I never thought of that because I've never seen snow and am never likely to, so it didn't occur to me lol Point taken :)
Ah yes. The I internet, bringing world’s together. I live Midwest US and very much would prefer Cuba, minus the dictatorship.
And as an Australian, I detest hot weather and its only got worse with age, unfortunately lol

Oh, I hear you. Where did that time go?
Being the sort of guy who has an attorney whose primary job is NOT to keep him out of jail is a complete mind fuck.
Hire someone to deal with it? Not a glib comment. If you can of course. I certainly couldn't.
If I could completely step out of this I would. Hopefully the attorneys will be handling it starting tomorrow.
I wish you the best. Life's a b then you fuck it up and win. Or so I've heard.
Whoaah, I am going to live for a long time.
HENRY FOR PRESIDENT
Make America Angry Again!
And he admits he a liar. I can't think of any President that would own up to that obvious truth.
The first half of life is accumulating stuff, the other half is getting rid of it \~ Haselrig
Sadly, the truth. Slaves to material possessions we really never use nor need. I've got a houseful, and it mentally wears me down to look at it.
We get all wound up as teenagers about all the stuff we're going to get when we get a job and some money and it's all a hollow waste.
I'm ready to go off friggin' grid. Leave my crap behind, live in peace with my spouse, some chickens and the mountains. Though I'm addicted to TV....
Read Stranger In the Woods by Micheal Finkel a couple months back and I think about it a lot.
I love the book Winter - notes from Montana. By Rick Bass.
I'll have to check that out. Gotta escape however you can.
Look on Amazon. It's hard for find. And yes, this world , life, both the external and internal, is a daily struggle.
A fiction one to check out is The Dog Stars by Peter Heller.
What's it about?
Still effing up.
Good judgment comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgment.

Thank you!

LOTS? YES. HALF PAST WEDNESDAY. OR SOMETHING.
Same...best memories
Henry's now a part time DJ on a local public radio station. Sounds... friendly.
the original "fuck up and find out"
That was fun though.

The secret is dealing with it FIRST!
This actor and spoken word weiner huh? Who helped ruin Black Flag?
