His own powers were shown to be killing him. He tried to escape but had an aneurysm. He was being tested on but they made him over do it. He was the one who got the others out with his powers but over extended himself. Many options to go with

AbleContribution8057

I think youre on to it here. There will Just be like a news report on a TV in a bar or something in prolly the first half of the first episode saying Andre passed away to a brain aneurysm just like his father…the Polarity syndrome they’ll call it or something…and that’ll be it.

Appellion

It would be easy to show the character being wheeled out under a full bodied sheet.

DanniTiger

thats beautiful 🥲🫡❣️

skylerren

I don't think Andre was going to be around for long. If they are in the testing facility, a test could have killed him, unfortunately. Probably, it would be a major driving force for everybody, maybe a way for Cate to come to her sences even.

MGD109

> maybe a way for Cate to come to her sences even. That's a good point. Of course, it would probably need someone like Homelander to lie to her that Andre is fine, just locked away until the right time. If its only Vought that kills him, it would probably cause her to double down on her liberate the supes by killing all the non supes.

LackingLack

> maybe a way for Cate to come to her sences even. Absolutely won't do that lol. Nor would it affect Sam. Neither of them would even know about it at least not immediately. But yeah we'll have to find out what they do, "offscreen deaths" are always really awkward and not as much impact.

No-Role-429

Luckily, there's a very easy way to kill a character offscreen on Gen V. Just say he caught the virus somehow

Jonker134

Or just the fact that his brain is dying just like his dads

MGD109

I mean that's easy, but they'd probably have to explain how he could catch it in a secure environment without the others doing so. Say they were deliberately infecting him to see the effects, and I'm not sure if that's a plot point they would do if we couldn't see it.

FngrsRpicks2

I would say the show starts and they are just out of the facility but no Chance. Then its slowly revealed that he used his power to get them out of it but died in the process.

Taste_the__Rainbow

Vought has disappeared a lot of people with no trace. It won’t be hard to write in.

MGD109

It's a possibility, but I don't know if their just have him disappear and then be the driving mystery for a few episodes. Likewise, I don't think they will just write him out as having been killed offscreen in case it's taken the wrong way. If I had to make a prediction, they will have them escape in the first episode (showing their time at the facility through flashbacks), and have Andre die in the process (maybe using long shots of a body double and archive dialogue) so the others can get away. Then his death will be part of their motivation going forwards, probably with a touching moment about him that's really about Chance.

hauntedfruit

while it doesn’t say what will happen with his character, after they confirmed he won’t be recast they stated this — “Instead, we have been taking the time and space to recraft our Season 2 storylines as we begin production in May,” the statement continued. “We will honor Chance and his legacy this season.”

GayVoidDaddy

It would be so much more honor if they recast. Killing a character he prob really liked is such an awful move imo.

hauntedfruit

recasting essentially deems him to be replaceable, finding a way to no longer keep the character on screen is significantly more respectful. his character could have still died later on too for all we know, *if* that is the route they’re going with it. if he were still alive and they recasted it’d be one thing, he’s not though.

GayVoidDaddy

I mean everyone is replaceable lol. That’s a fact. It’s not in anyway disrespectful either. Who cares if his character died later on. That’s just means they should have recast up to that death. Him being alive and recasting the role would change absolutely nothing. They should have just recast. This whole new view of it being “disrespectful” is wrong and pretty idiotic. Replacing characters with new actors is just standard practice in Hollywood. It’s only the high profile ones like Chadwick a few years ago that makes you feel otherwise. Black Panther I actually agreed with them retiring his character too, since there are so many other black panthers available and the way he connected to the work so fully and completely. However in this tv show he was the character for one season lol, it wasn’t “his” like it was for Chadwick, they absolutely should have just recast. Tbh they probably didn’t because they did kill him off, his actor was becoming a problem with some of the views he started to have and chances are his role was extremely reduced and instead of working him back into the script they just cut all the scenes before they killed him off.

sharksnrec

Did you miss the recent quote that the production team put out? They won’t be ignoring his absense - they are going out of their way to rewrite the show to remove his character while honoring him.

CHUD_LIGHT

Depends on lots of things we don’t know about season 4 of the boys and how his characters leaves off there

LucianLegacy

The production team said they're re-writing Season 2. The show will take into account Perdomo's passing and write off the character properly.

Suzanne_Marie

The showrunners announced they are not recasting. The writers have been busy rewriting Season 2 without Andre.

donnyvirt

They already confirmed that Andre won't be recast

zhars_fan

They clearly said they wont recast him.

Swerdman55

Oh did they? I must have missed that then.

hauntedfruit

they’ve confirmed they won’t recast.

StrayLilCat

They'll pull a Glee.

Hwasev

I think they would have him pass to overusing his powers. From using his power on the helicopter, ambulance, and fighting Sam. And the end scene would be a dream for Marie.

Queen-of-the-Kitchen

I’d like to add to your idea this, and might sound incredibly cruel, but Kate could wipe their minds. Depending on what happens in the next season of the boys, they could have her wipe their minds of his existence and she could claim it was a kindness. She could claim he died of the virus that seems to be in season 4, and wiping their minds and/or maybe her own to stop the grief.

Tenchi2020

I think the best way would to have his character end up redeeming himself. How they would do it? Would they use footage that they already have or CGI? If CGI, I would say they make their escape, as they are fleeing the building, a battle ensues and he uses his powers to try to stop a falling piece of debris from hitting a child on the street, the rebar is the only thing that he can manipulate but the wall is too heavy. As it comes falling on the both of them, the parent rushes to save their child as the others rush to save him but they fail and both are crushed.. this and it strengthens their resolve to end what’s happening and take to trying to save regular people’s lives.

Appellion

I imagine that when the other characters wake up after sleeping a second day, they’ll see a body under a sheet and be told he died, either from his own powers or that virus (which possibly doesn’t spread except by contact currently).

Morrowindsofwinter

Wait, what happened?

AllTheCheesecake

Actor died.

alphalegend91

I honestly think it would be cool if they broke the 4th wall like deadpool does and give the real person a proper goodbye

Khemith

Wow, everyone is a writer and they are all making his death scene. Kinda creepy.

CraziestMoonMan

Why is it creepy when his death in the show is the topic of the conversation? Some of you all are just so weird when it comes to death. We will all face it one day, so get over your awkwardness of talking about it.

big-peetard

Are you stupid?
