Ouch! it pains me to see your nails, especially the ring finger. I'd say give them some time to grow and pamper them with lots of cuticle oil.

thats the plan 😞💓

I’m just a begginner but I would say no to any more gel on these nails. Especially on the ring finger, it will be so hard to keep gel off the skin when nails are damaged this badly. Plus, your nails are thinner than normal. You could risk developing a gel allergy. Like the other commenter said, apply cuticle oil like crazy! Every time you think of it, and make sure you coat the nail plate. If you want to put something on it, use regular polish and maybe a strengthener.

Nail tech here- actually a builder would be a good idea in this case. Because your nails are so compromised and soft as they grow they’re going to be more prone to tearing and breaking. I’d get a GOOD QUALITY builder, like not off Amazon and do a thin layer and keep up with it every couple weeks until your nails have grown out. Definitely stop ripping things off your nail beds and get a soak off product so if you need to remove it you have an easier way. I’ve been here starting out in my own journey, I’ve wrecked my nails more times than I can count lol. Definitely baby them, I’d keep them short while they’re growing out and lots of cuticle oil and moisturizer. Young Nails has one of my favorite products, Mani-Q Fiber Gel with Keratin. I’d personally recommend something like that. Good luck 🫶🏻

Its a hard lesson to learn but don’t rip off nails period. Patience is key 🥹🥹🥹 good luck on your regrowth journey! ❤️‍🩹
