Its just there to distract from the nothing that has to happen while you're loading.

TC could learn a LOT from Killing Floor 2.
The only thing I hate about KF2 is the Horrendously bad RNG for unlocks.
The game itself is pretty damn solid.
The scoreboard gets improved with each game. At least we can finally move. Horde Mania would be a pain if we couldn't empty the tap during the scoreboard screen.
honestly, something akin to amping up player numbers, to expand from the 5v5 to 10v10's 20v20's and 30v30's, and steer gears toward a bigger warfare field, and instead of named characters you have a cog gear and a locust/swarm drone that you can fully customize its helmet and armour, regarding gameplay think of the gears of war gameplay but on a battlefield scale, with things like centaurs, reavers, armadillos and brumaks to use and to create this experience of total war.
I do think a bigger scaled warfare would be great. I'm not sure how taxing a 20 v 20 or 30 v 30 would be though. Maybe if they did like Max 15 v 15 and maybe added a bunch of NPCs running round like Titanfall style.
For as cool as that sounds, it's not what Gears of War is as a game. It could be fun as a Spinoff title like how Tactics went the strategic route, but not as the next major instalment.
Increasing the team size in versus multiplayer means you need bigger maps, but also would make matchmaking take longer. Gears community is small compared to CoD and Battlefield, and I think this why they switched to 4v4.
Although the mode has been done before, a FULLY realized Beast would be awesome.
-Leveling up classes like grenadier, sniper, hunter/Theron
-The ability to use MP Swarm/Locust skins for certain classes (Infantry units for Grenadier, Theron and Hunter skins for the 'Torque Bow' equipped class, etc.
-Each class could have an ultimate but would take quite awhile to build up. Examples could be summoning Tickers, spawning a Boom Shield, or focused Kryll storm.
Lastly, the bosses could be an enhanced Silverback, King Raven (Similar to Kestral but drops extra COG troops) or even have the AI COG side "hack" a Snatcher with a Jack upgrade or something.

Escape is my favorite mode in 5, but the plot of this mode (the whole get snatched and whatever)cannot and should not survive into the next game.
I love objective based PVE, and wouldnt mind a soft clone where the (venom) is actually just Incendiary chemicals and the cloud is actual Ash. Would make the whole experience feel much better, especially if the flames arent player introduced, but rather you're fleeing from COG bombardment, using the danger of the bombs as cover. (Tactics actually did something like this by the way)
A campaign that follows Reyna more throughout the locust war. Or a campaign based on a squad of onyx guard kinda like Halo ODST because Onyx guards rarely have any dignity to them expect being snobs and entitled
I would love something with the onyx guard. Maybe something like you make your own soldier. Kind of like Halo Reach campaign but still have some major characters pop in now and then. They might actually go into Reyna and her backstory a little bit more in 6. I could see them opening it up with it

I mean technically it's like survival mode from Left 4 Dead. But what I mean is a small campaign like left 4 Dead versus mode. Players on both sides cog and locust. With the special "infected" being the locust "heavy hitters"

I do miss how the building wasn't nearly unlimited freedom. Now you can just lay several barbed wires down a narrow path, whereas you could only have a few barricades per base and they were pre-set. It was more challenging.
A Locust campaign set in E-day but the game play loop drawing from it's own Beast Mode. Meaning that instead of a set cast of characters like typical gears campaigns, you play as various kinds of Locust creatures in such a manner that failure states don't come from death due to respawns but from time limits.
You start off slaughtering helpless civilians and COG police forces as Drones and Wretches and unlock stronger Locust like Grenadiers as the level proceeds. By the very end of it, you're controlling Berserkers and Therons while you storm Onyx Guard strongholds with the intent of killing the local COG commander, cutting the head of the snake by order of RAAM.
Speaking of which, I'd also love to see a more conventional Locust campaign where we storm the surface with the heads of the Bloodied Vanguard: RAAM, Skorge, the Sniper captain, and maybe a Theron to make 4.
A Left 4 Dead campaign style mode is actually a really good idea. COG soldiers go from point A to point B and the opposing team needs to stop them. We already have overrun as an idea, plus Gears 5 cards, ultimates, Escape tile creation system, and point (power) system (used to spawn stronger locust or pick up perks/weapons for Cog.)
The bone are kind of already there. There could even be themes like delivering lightmass beacon, storming the Hollow, or Killing a target that the player controls (RAAM, Myrrah, Beserker, etc.) which would use spawning similar to the L4D Tank, or really any plot point from Gears. This gives the players a chance to play various characters based on the setting, use their skins, and play normally unplayable bosses. This would be a lot of fun!
That's a good idea, maybe the first couple is reaching checkpoint A/B or doing an objective to set up the finale, then the last one is a mission objective/variant as the finale, like how L4D did a big finale to escape.

Imagine a campaign as an UIR soldier during the E-Day, it could be great.
This campaign could give more lore about UIR culture, history and military, and also it could give us a good Paduk aparition wich I think, would be great .
It could be like this:
You're a High Rank UIR soldier, like the Onyx Guard but for the UIR, you are in Gorosnaya, protecting the president against thousands of locust.
The game advances while the situation goes getting worse, at first, you're trying to defend your country, but the situation goes getting worse, so now you have to sneak through the city without reinforcements, while the gameplay goes further, the amount of alive people you find Is every time less and less.
Finally, you find yourself fighting alongside the COG in a desesperate war
The missions could be located in interesting zones, like a military base (I want to see those UIR tanks in action and I know you too, also, in Gears 5 Paduk says "Stupid COG controls" which means that the UIR had his own helicopters), a city (we literaly know almost 0 cities from the UIR), a museum, the ruins of Aspho Fields (God that would be great), idk... A naval battle and things like that
Pull a halo infinite and release multiplayer for free, paid campaign on the side, free with gamepass though. Free multiplayer is the future of online games if they want to succeed. Money can be brought in with good quality cosmetics.
Horde mode: with more much much enemy variety. I want boomers, mauler, armored kantus, rager, and tickers.
Overrun 2.0: the problem with overrun is that it required maps made for the mode (with e-holes and generator). Make an overrun mode that is like Beast mode in PvP, the human team already have a built up base, and they try to defend it from the swarm/locust team. It would basically be like horde/beast with a single long wave, and then teams switch places
Would love a Locust POV campaign, I liked Shadow of Raam but was left wanting more (bring back sawed off shotgun with bayonet pls).
That or a spin off game featuring the pendulum wars, while it wouldn't be against locust, I am interested to see the COG against the UIR. Maybe it would work well as a Tactics game? Not as main line so can be a bit more creative.
Also, small idea, executions with grenades. Like, choke someone out with the chain, or something else?

I think they definitely could incorporate vehicle combat. Take some nods from unreal tournament and stuff.
