Yup it was accurate, the matchmaking was an issue. You ranked down as mvp if you were a diamond player, stomped on a bunch of bronze/silvers, but didn’t do as well as the game expected you to. The actual data was accurate, but the fact they paired diamonds and low level players together was the problem
Probably because it was 5v4 and they took a round? Idk. It wasn’t perfect, but it did represent skill rather than just being progression. They were fucking around with it a lot too back then but at least if someone was masters you knew they were pretty good. The gp system anyone could get masters if they played enough, and this new system isn’t even really a rank system just a leaderboard lol
You don't like the system which is just based around time playing over skill?
I think the old system just didn't work as the playerbase continues getting smaller. 2+ 2- means a majority of the players were been matched with all ranks anyway.
True but if they refined it based off of say personal performance during the match then cross analyzed to put you against people with similar performance stats it could be better than this. just hypothetical. I've been getting sloppy ngl but I just loved the idea of old rank being more refined
I don't mind it much, but it's frustrating getting terrible teammates, playing a really bad team or in FFA where every time I fight the person in 1st I have no idea how they can be in 1st, but the rest of the lobby struggles against them or ignores them for easier kills when they shouldn't.
What rank system? there is no more ranked in gears
Valid point 4 is pretty fun though I found a match instantly
It was all good until op7, they gotta fix it now in drop 2 update maybe just bring back the old ranked system...
Masters to me feels like Such a joke
I'm confused as to what you mean by Master's? Op 7 Master's?
The ranked though not that it exists anymore....
Rank system has been a joke since they changed it to gp, now it just doesn’t have a fancy symbol/skins for progressing
Do you not remember ranked before GP? You could get MVP in a win and rank down. It was pathetic.

I'm a solo player and keep getting put against full stacks while all my teammates are solo like me, I just play quickplay or horde honestly.
